Process not visible in the Communication Channel Monitor

Hi there
I have a scenario where I create multiple text files with my message mapping. First I created the scenario with a single file and tested it. It worked so then I changed the Interface Determination to Enhanced and the necessary occurrences to unbounded in my IM and MM. Now if I execute the scenario it shows a successful status in the SXMB_MONI but does not create the flat file. If I go to my Communication Channel Monitor it does not show it there so it did not reach it. Is there some other ting I needed to change for this multiple file scenario?
Thanks,
Jan

Hi again
I sorted out the issue but now I'm getting something weird. In my source Message Mapping I have:
Destination
--Name (0-Unbounded)
Payload
--Details (0-Unbounded)
And my Target mapping I have
Main_Structure (0-Unbounded)
--FileDetails (0-1)
So the Destination determines the number of files and the payload goes to the File Details.
This does not work for some reason but if I change my mapping to a fixed number of files it works. For example: If I create a UDF that creates 2 arrays and map it to my Main_Structure it creates 2 files but it I map my Destination node with X amount of lines to my Main_Structure It shows fine in SXMB but does not show at all in the component monitor for the receiver CC and in my message monitor it shows "On Hold"

  • Channels not monitorable in the Communication Channel Monitor / RWB

    Hi,
    Back on XI after a long break… &#9786;
I am facing an issue with our in-house JCA adapter used in XI scenarios. When trying to monitor the channels using our adapter from the Communication Channel Monitor in RWB, I have the following:
        Status: NA
Short Log: No adapter registered for this channel
The adapter is deployed and the integration scenarios using it work perfectly:
      - sda package deployed through the SDM
      - the metadata defined in the Design
      - a valid and working configuration involving the scenario is defined
The messages are going through and are monitorable in both SXMB_MONI and RWB...
All other channels using system adapters (File, RFC, SOAP…) do display a status (as a color icon) and a Short Log… and they can be administered (start/stop) using the enabled buttons when selected…
From the Adapter Monitor page, our adapter has a green status, and all the channels configured to use it display the status, Name and Text information...
I have no idea what could be the issue… should the adapter implement a special interface to be monitored from the RWB, is it a configuration issue, permissions issue???
I saw 2 posts with this error message but they did not help me to figure out where the issue is …
    Thanks for your help,
    Adalbert

    Hi Gouri,
Thanks for your response, I will try would suggestion for testing... but
I am wondering why the namespace has to be http://sap.com/xi/XI/sample ???
It sounds weird that this namespace has to be fixed... as the purpose of a namespace is to create a isolation/container for names... so it needs to be customizable...
I did not see anything in the Adapter Development guides related to this kind of constraints...
    Thanks,

    Hi,
    The error could be because
    1) The URL referenced from RWB (Communictaion Channel) is incorrect.
Try accesing the link directly http://HOST:JAVAPORT/mdt/channelmonitorservlet
If you are able to open the window with out nay error, it means you url referenced from SLD is wrong. Correct your SLD and update the cache.
    2) If you are not able to access above URL, it means the java service is not running to accept your request, check in visual admin if any of the services are stopped. Try restarting the same.

  • XI - Communication Channel Monitor

    Hi,
I have this 'interesting' situation where although I can view my Sender Comm. Channels with the Communication Channel Monitor, I'm unable to view my Receiver Communication Channels - no matter the Adapter Type. As a result, when I test my scenario I get an HTTP_RESP_CODE_NOT_OK 404 error message.
Has anyone come across this situation before, and how did you resolve it? I have tried deleting and then re-creating the Receiver Comm. Channel, but still can't see it.
    Thanks in advance.
    Regards,
    Reuben.

    HI,
if 404 error then see below
    5) Error: 404 Not Found
Description: The server has not found anything matching the Request-URI. No indication is given of whether the condition is temporary or permanent. The 410 (Gone) status code SHOULD be used if the server knows, through some internally configurable mechanism, that an old resource is permanently unavailable and has no forwarding address. This status code is commonly used when the server does not wish to reveal exactly why the request has been refused, or when no other response is applicable.
    Possible Tips:- for HTTP_RESP_STATUS_CODE_NOT_OK 404
    • 404 is an HTTP response code that indicates that the resource in question couldn't be found. Usually this is due to an incorrect URL, so it is better to cross check all URLs. Check pipeline URL in the SLD in the business system of the Integration Server For this go to SLD->Business System-><yourIntegrtaion Server>->Pipeline URL: It should be like this http://<host>:<port>/sap/xi/engine?type=entry Where host is the host name of the Integration Server and port is the HTTP(8xxx) port. To verify this in Integration Server you can do like this. Go to SXMB_ADM->Integration Engine Configuration->Choose Edit from Menu -> Change Global Configuration Data to switch to change mode. Then select System Landscape - Load Configuration. (This is not required always)
    • Check that the port really is the ICM HTTP Port and not the J2EE port i.e SMICM then menu GOTO --> SERVICES and check the port number for HTTP. It should be HTTP port
    • If the error is Page cannot be displayed, cannot find server in https configurations Check and correct the SSL configuration for the ABAP and the J2EE side of the system
    • If the error is because of integration server when using Proxy communications then check these. i.e SXMB_ADM->Integration Engine Configuration->Corresponding Integration Server enrty should be dest://<Http Integration server-Destination> Where < Http Integration server -Destination > is the RFC destination (SM59) of type HTTP connection (type H) to the Integration Server. In this case, host name, port, and path prefix are saved in the RFC destination.

  • XI communication channel missing in communication channel monitoring

    Hello partners,
I have a problem with communication channel monitoring.
I have defined a communication channel of Adapter Type = "XI" in the integration directory.
I have also sent messages successfully via this communication channel.
But the communication does not appear in the list of available channels in the selection list of the communication channel monitoring.
Can someone tell me how I can get monitoring info of an "XI" communication channel?

    Hi,
From SP17, you have a new feature
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/44/46d1a56faf52d3e10000000a1553f6/content.htm
<i>The Runtime Workbench has the following new functions:
&#9679; Component monitoring: Communication channel monitor
In component monitoring, you can use the new communication channel monitor to call information about the status of your communication channels and the corresponding adapters. You can also administrate your communication channels.
Unlike the adapter monitor, the communication channel monitor also provides current runtime information about the communication channels of individual adapters, as long as they are registered for communication channel monitoring.
To monitor adapters that do not provide runtime information to communication channel monitoring, continue to use the adapter monitor.</i>

  • Communication channel monitoring (adapter engine) in ccms (rz20) available?

    Hi,
we have problems in our xi system (PI 7.0, SPS10). The adapter engine can only be monitored in the communication channel monitoring, available in the runtime workbench!
There sometimes errors disappear. At the moment these errors accumulate!
Is it possible to view these errors/ alerts in the ccms (rz20) monitoring?
So we don't look all the time in the communication channel monitoring!
    Have anybody an idea?

  • Communication channel  monitoring did not record the processing detail

    Hi,
I have a proxy-to-file scenario. Usually, I can see the processing details for the receiving file communication channel in Communication channel  monitoring with the Message ID and Explanation. And if I click the Message ID, it will give me processing steps in Audit Log. However, I don't see this log for last night's run. In SXMB_MONI, it shows me 2 messages were successfully sent out. The second message should be appended to the first message in receiver file. But the receiver side only got the first message data. Is there any way I can find out why the second message did not reach to the receiver?
    Thanks in advanced!

    Hi
    Try opening directly
tools->Internet Options->Advance, uncheck show HTTP friendly error messages under Browsing, then try
    http://<host>:<port>/mdt/channelmonitorservlet
You need the authorizations of user group SAP_XI_ADMINISTRATOR with the role modify.
