Process Order Cost Analysis Target and Actual Quantity Missing

This is related to Process order costing .
Issue : Before activating  Material Update field in Costing view 1 of Material master , we have created few process orders and Delivered .
Hence cost analysis shows Actual and target cost fields  Empty in COST ANALYSIS  report of  order  . After Updating field in Material master , New Process orders are calculated with Actual and Target cost .
Solution needed : How to do Actual and Target cost estimation back in cost analysis report  for old process orders which are created before Material Update field ?

You have deleted the Component in the BoM.
Then you have created a production order, check if the start date of this order is after the date change in the BoM..... Can be that the component stills exists in the order ? Have you tried deleting the compoent in the order BoM ?

  • Process Order Basic Finish Date and Scheduled Finish Date

    Folks,
I have a requirement from the business to be able to update the Process Order Basic Finish Date and Scheduled Finish Date independently from each other.
In other words, update the Basic Finish Date and the Scheduled Finish Date cannot change or update the Scheduled Finish Date and the Basic Finish Date cannot change.
I believe the reason for this is to be able to use the Basic Date to maintain the ATP accurately and keep the Scheduled Date to mark when the order was originally due from the shop floor to be able to measure if orders are being completed on time or late.
I have worked in tnx OPUZ and had some success with other issues with these dates but I can't seem to make them work independently from each other.
Or does anyone have any ideas how to measure proces order performance to the production schedule?
    Thank you for your help,
    Greg

Rajesha, thank you for your reply but it doesn't solve my problem.
    Let me restate my scenario:
I start a process order and both the basic and scheduled finish dates are the same, June 1.
At some point, shop floor tells me they will be late and cannot deliver until June 15.
I need to update a date in the system so the ATP and the MRP planning runs have correct information for promising customers, I will update the Basic Finish date with June 15.
I also need to keep the original June 1 date in order to measure the shop floor performance to the production schedule to measure how early or late the  order was delivered. How can I keep the original finish date or how can I measure if a process order is early or late??
    Thank you for your help,
    Greg

    Hi Deep,
Assuming you have an InfoObject for Quarter (say 0CALQUARTER) & Month (say 0CALMONTH), drag the Quarter InfoObject & Month InfoObject below in the Columns. Drag your KFs i.e. Planned Qty & Actual Qty below the Month InfoObject to form a KF structure. If you don't want Qty Unit to be displayed alongside your KFs, use NODIM() function & display Unit in the Rows.

  • Creating Process Orders Without a Material and Without a Master Recipe

Hi PP experts, anyone knows if it is possible and how to do create Process Orders Without a Material and Without a Master Recipe?
    Thanks!!

    Dear,
If you want to use a cleanout recipe
    T code CORO
create a order w/o material for rework qty
Make the same entries as described under Creating a Process Order With a Material. Use OPJG config to have a default operation defined for the plant and order type combination.

  • Target Costs not Displaying in Production Order Cost Analysis

    Hi Guys,
I am not able to see the target costs in a production order. It is showing the actual costs properly. I don't know how to validate the numbers and where am I missing. Please help.
    Thanks and Regards
    Madhu Vutukuri

Target costs are populated when you do the goods receipt. System will search for the released standard cost estimate and then apply that for each material component. If these 2 conditions are passed, then you will get target cost in order,
You need to define the following,
    1. Variance Key - Transaction "OKV1"
    2. Assign that to Plant using "OKVW"
    3. Define Variance Variant using "OKVG"
    4. Define Valuation variant for WIP/Scrap calculation using "SPRO"
    5. Define target cost version by assiging sl no 3 & 4 and also how the cost calculation should be used.
Once this activities are completed, execute production/process order and then after goods movement and some confirmations process Variance using "KKS2" as a period end activities.

  • Co03 cost analysis target

    Hi,
I see there is target quantity / target cost / actual qty / actual cost.
May I know what is target quantity and target cost? Is it similar to standard?
    Thanks

    Hi,
Though it is correctly /conceptually defined by Raja Sekhar about the Actual Quantity and Actual Cost.
As far as the Target Costing(Quantity) is concerned,Please find my response which elaborates precisely in genral terms of the business-
There is no clear definition to target costing. Organisations that have implemented it have
had to apply their own unique approach to the concept. In essence, it is a philosophy in
which product development is based on what the market will pay for it, not on what it has
cost to produce. In other words, market price becomes the determinant of cost and not the
other way around, as is the practice with most organisations.
Target costing is a strategic management tool that seeks to reduce a productu2019s cost over its
lifetime. Therefore, the target cost is not necessarily the cost to currently build the product.
Target costing presumes interaction between cost accounting and long-range profit planning; and a commitment to continuous cost reduction.
and you can apply the same logic while executing it for your desired business process in SAP determined by your process owners.
Hope it helps you at some extent.
    Cheers
    Chandra

  • Production Order Cost Analysis - Goods Receipt

I have been assigned to create analysis of production orders.  I need to show the volume variance as well as the cost variance using both the initial planned costs as well as the actual costs when the production order is completed.  All this information is available in COR3 on cost analysis, but I need to allow for display of multiple orders based on plant and date information.
I have found that the ingredients are in the table RESB with most of the information that I need, I have not had luck in finding what table has the goods receipt information (produced product).  SAP help says that the fields are in KKBCS_OUT, which is a structure that I can't find where populated from.
I would appreciate any assistance in this endeavor.
    Thanks
    Steven M Engel

Thanks for the suggestions, but they have not provided me with what I think I need to give a solution to my superiors.
I will attempt to clarify what I need to do.  We are a manufacturing facility.  We have a BOM that says to make 10 E, I need 3 A, 2 B, 3 C, and 4 D.  Each of the components (A to D) have a set cost at the time the production order is created, this looks to be saved as part of the planned cost in RESB.  Produced product E also has a planned cost at time production order created (as seen by COR3) but that is not stored in RESB.
At production time we actually use 2.5 A, 2.5 B, 3 C, and 5 D to make the 10 E.  COR3 cost analysis is showing me the cost variance.  This cost variance has two parts, part 1 is because the quantities of the inputs are different.  Part 2 is because between the time the production order was created, and the production order was finished, the costs of A to E may have changed.
I need to breakout the different components to show management how much of the total cost variance is attributed to each part.  I need a report that management can run (or have run) that will allow them choose by plant, date, end product, etc.  so they can direct what changes need to be made to costing, pricing, and BOMs.
I hope that I have laid out what I am trying to do in a coherent manner.  Also I am new to the SAP system with less than 1 year using the system.
    Thanks for your time.

  • Target and Actual Lead time in MCP1 report

    Dear Experts,
In MCP1 report, what is Target Lead Time and Actual Lead Time. How it is calculated?
Thanks in advance for your valuable replies.
    Regards,
    Jejesh

    Hi,
                                                                                    Target lead time
On the operation level, it is the time period between the scheduled
input date at the work center (target input) and the latest scheduled
        finish of the operation.
The target input date is calculated through the scheduled execution
        finish of the previous operation.
On the order level it is the time period between the scheduled start and
        the scheduled finish.
    and
                                                                                    Actual lead time
At operation level, the time between the input date at the work center
and the completion confirmation date (the total from queue time,
         execution time and move time).
When calculating, the input date is determined via the completion
confirmation date of the preceding operation.  The process-dependent
wait time of the preceeding operation is subtracted.
At order level, the time between the reported start date and the finish
date (the total from execution times and transit times of the operations
as well as the order floats before and after production).
    Regards,
    Rajesh
