I have defined a Process Scheduler in UNIX… the processes and reports finish correct, but the distribution finishes incorrect… in the file stdout I have the following message:

Can anybody help me?

Its hard to tell why report distribution fails , there is a lot of criteria that needs to be in place to make it work.
Does the user have process scheduler admin/report distribution admin roles assigned ?
Is local node setup with user id/password ?It could be unix report node definition pointing to an incorrect location.
what is the reports location in web server config.properties file ?

Hopefully, your application URL looks like http://ddas1020.dev.com:16000/psp/hr90dmo/..., your URI host looks like ddas1020.dev.com (or corresponding ip address), and hhtp is checked.

  • Issue with Bulk Load Post Process Scheduled Task

    Hello,
I successfully loaded users in OIM using the bulk load utility.  I also have LDAP sync ON.  The documentation says to run the Bulk Load Post Process scheduled task to push the loaded users in OIM into LDAP.
This works if we run the Bulk Load Post Process Scheduled Task right away after the run the bulk load.
If some time had passed and we go back to run the Bulk Load Post Process Scheduled Task, some of the users loaded through the bulk load utility are not created in our LDAP system.  This created an off-sync situation between OIM and our LDAP.
I tried to use the usr_key as a parameter to the Bulk Load Post Process Scheduled Task without success.
Is there a way to force the re-evaluation of these users so they would get created in LDAP?
    Thanks
    Khanh

The scheduled task carries out post-processing activities on the users imported through the bulk load utility.

  • Success but not Posted Process Scheduler

    Hi all,
I just installed HCM 9.1 PT8.52, Demo DB, Oracle 11g Database and Windows server 2008.
I installed and configured the process scheduler (followed the steps) and created a windows service for it, that is 'Automatically started'.
When trying to run a process scheduler, I'm getting a run status 'Success' but the 'Distribution Status' is 'Not Posted'.
I suppose it is not finding the location or something?
    What should I check?
    Thanks.
    Bechara

    Thank you!
The ReportDistAdmin role was missing so I added it.
I shut down process scheduler and re-run it, but I'm still getting 'Not Posted'
Is there any additional step to do before trying the reports?
    Update
And the password was missing in the default local node, I added it and it worked!
    Thanks you Hakan!

whereas while i checked the PIA online - process monitor - server list - It says N for PSUNX as MASTER.....
I can reboot the process scheduler to fix the issue for now... but would like to understand if someone else has come across this and why does it happen
    Peoplesoft - 8.50.09 / DB oracle - 11.1.0.7 / tux - 10.3.0.0 / OS - AIX ...
    Please revert thanks....

how many prcs do u have.
lets say, u have 3 process schedulers. one on unix and two on windows. all 3 are configured to be master schedulers. master scheduler shows "Y" to the one which ever comes online first. rest are backup master schedulers. in case your first MS drops, second in line MS becomes "Y"
Say u have only one scheduler, this shows either your config has been corrupted.check ur OS if this is certified platform for all the products installed.
try to delete the scheduler completely and redo the scheduler from scratch. do not copy anything from the previous files.
    Thanks

  • Error in creating the process scheduler

    Hi all,
I recently installed with Peolesoft 8.9 and tools 8.49 and oracle 9i.
Now i tried to create the process scheduler.
I have got the error in the image http://narchu.coolinc.info/install_failed.html
    what i did.
from the menu i selected to create a new process scheduler.
    gave the name as fsdmo
    configure? yes
    changed the username to VP1
    changed the password to VP1
and then load the config as shown.
    start the process scheduler.
then it gave the error in the image in the above link.
The password is not gettin encrypted. i think it must be encrypted, but i am not sure.
Can any one please help solving it.
    Thank you,
    Bye.

I think if it is default installation without screwing anything VP1 can start app and Proc server.
But Nicolas is right, to get more we need log file....it may be database connectivity issue, password encryption issue , tuxedo issue and much more.If u can post the logs it will helpful to diagnose your issue.

  • Process scheduler picking up trace settings that are not currently on

I'm running a custom application engine program. I tested the program in the same instance last week with a full trace turned on. The trace was turned on under processes. I've since refreshed the database and dumped the process scheduler cache (Unix process scheduler). After the refresh, I turned off the process trace. I ran a quick test of the program to see what the trace settings are. To my disappointment the full trace is still showing at the end of my parameters list in the process monitor. I've tried forcing a trace -0, the parameters will not change. It's very, very strange. Unforuntately, I have to process a lot of data using this application engine program using CI. Is there any other area in Peoplesoft that I might be forgetting that an application engine trace can be turned on?

How have you refreshed the database ? How did you re-apply your customization after refresh ? How is defined the prcs ? Did you change the prcs configuration file to set the trace off ? Did you checked the process definition ?

  • Process scheduler server list is not populating in SERVER LIST page.

    Need urgent help.
We have PeopleSoft Campus Solution 8.52,9.0 application. We had two Process Scheduler server one in Linux and one in NT. There was one issue that all the jobs which processed were getting into success and reports were also posted, however it was not updating the database with data. In order to solve it I created a new Process Scheduler server at onther NT machine. This time when I navigated to Process Monitor --> Server List pages it has no data there. I ran COBOL job but it went to successful and report posetd but nothing was updated into the database.
Please help me out of this situation.
    Thanks
    Vikrant

Thanks a lot RCC for your response.
    There is actually three issues
1)Process Monitor Server List page has no data.
2)As I go to run a process in the system process request I see that the Server Name,Reccurence,Type and Format are not workin or they are disabled.
3)Cobol jobs which I am running through PSNT is not updating database, however the Process is getting successful and reports are having posted status, but when I go to see Reports it is not having any output file its blank.I tried to check the reports at webserver, there were also no reports were published,However it works properly for all other Process.
For the first problem it has got resolved the solution is in this "Process Monitor Server List Not Populating With Data (Doc ID 615323.1)"( for those who face this problem in future :)).
For your query RCC, I have named same name of PSNT which was earlier in the different machine.
    Please help
    Thanks
    Vikrant.

The script should trigger a email when any one of the domain is down and when it get up.
    Waiting heartly

If you really only want scripts you should write them yourself. If you don't understand the script how can you be expected to support it, modify it, or add new features? You don't even indicate what OS your using? I could give you a copy of a powershell script but what good is that on a linux box?
You need to identify what you really are interested in monitoring. Is it process health only? actual system integrity? Do you need to know if a process count goes under a certain threshold? Is the processes scheduler really working? Is queuing occurring somewhere? Is the web server at a critical number of open sessions? log monitoring for keywords? Do you need to actually simulate a web session which would prove the full system is working in one execution, although it won't indicate a failure will occur where some other monitoring might?
This is why the others have recommended pre-built packages that already offer most of this. If you still want scripts, gather your requirements, think about what you really need, try some stuff on your own, and if you have a specific problem with a script or how to accomplish a particular system check, post a new question, and I'll do my best to help. I think you'll get a better response from everyone if you do that.

    Thank for help.

what are the hardware specifications on the server? When application servers and process schedulers run on the same machine, application servers consume more ram on the server to run the application, process schedulers may not had enough memory to run and wait for application servers on that.
Having AS and PS on the same box is not a good design. usually PS is made on the db box (or) AS and PS go separately on different boxes.
if you can move PS onto a different box, ur performance will grow in a big way.
    Thanks!

  • Scripts for Process Scheduler

    Hi,
Does any one have the scripts for sending a Message if the Process Scheduler doesn't start up on Windows?
I wrote a script on UNIX server which sends an email if there's any error or if the Process Schedulers go down. CRON job runs the script to check the status of the Process Scheduler.
I usually look at the Task Manager whether the services are running or not on Windows. I never wrote a script to look at the Process Scheduler Services on Windows.
I am looking for script which sends an email when ever Process Schedulers running on Windows GO DOWN or SHUTS DOWN or Don't start up Properly.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Chris

Is there any equivalent for "PS -ef|grep" on windows 2000

  • Identifying lingering PeopleSoft process on Unix

I am applying at PeopleTools patch. The doc says to shut down any appservers, web servers, process schedluers, and EM Agents before applying and make sure there are no lingering threads from any processes or things could get messed up. I shut down the appserver and process scheduler and the EM Agent on unix. The webserver is running on Windows along with another appserver and process scheduler.
However, when I make a backup of the PS_HOME before patching, the backup copy is a slightly different size, suggesting that a file is not copied because it is in use. The difference is the backup copy has a smaller appserv directory and a slightly larger verity directory.
How do I make sure all processes are killed and also get a complete backup?
I am doing the copy as root and getting subdirectories and keeping the same permissions. There are other PS_HOMES on this server.

Yes, on unix, my backup copy of the PS_HOME for that environment is about 300K smaller than the original.
Sessions to the database don't show anything from that PeopleSoft user/home owner.
i dont want the patch to fail (due to something in use) then the backup be invalid. Our unix admin did some work with the fuser command and revealed nothing. He thinks I shouldn't worry about the slight difference.
I did notice something strange though after a while, a .adm folder appeared in the backup home. It contained only what appeared to be a license key.
