Production Order - Invalid storage location

Hello,
I have made a production order through mrp for a halb. The issue is that when I try to release the order it gives me a message that "storage location 3603 is invalid for material nthl****". In MM03 -> MRP2 in Issue stor. location the correct value of 3603 is showing. Material availability check on the production order is also ok. Please help.
Regards

During Availabiltiy Check it will check the issuing Raw Material/another halb - so no link
You are saying in MMSC that storage Location is extended to 3603- ok no issue
More over in MRP2 view you are saying the "Production Storage Location" with 3603 (here for this it will be behave as Receiving Storage Location) - ok no issue
check in the Production Order "Good Receipt" subscreen GR Storage Location is "3603"
Check whether the 3603 storage location is specific for the Plant to the Material it has extended *
( or is there a confusion with number zero and letter"O")

  • ATP check at sales order by storage location

Can I do an ATP check against a plant/storage location level during sales order entry?  Basically, for a particular plant, if I have 2 storage location with the following quantities:
    0010 = 100ea
    0020 = 150ea
Can I create a sales order for 110ea, specify the storage location 0010, and have the ATP come back as saying that I will be 10ea short?

    Hi Sandip,
I think this is Standard SAP, you can put Storage location in sales order and then ATP will check only in that storage location.
You dont need any special configuration for this. The only thing to be careful is what other documents like PO, Delivery you are using for considering in ATP.
Otherwise if a  storage location is mentioned in the sales order ATP will happen only in that storage location.

  • Stock Transport order issueing storage location determination

    Folks,
In case of a Stock transport order scenario in which plant A with SLOC1 delivery to plant B with SLOC 2. Is there any option how the issueing storage location can be determined? The delivering plant can be determined through the special procurement key but there is no option for the issueing SLOC.

    Hey Karen!
I am not sure if I understand your problem correctly.
You do not want the system to create a new MARD entry when postin goods issue.
You can enable/ disable this function with transaction OMB3 in the customizing.

  • Stock transport order between storage locations and assignment category type E not in MRP

    Hello Gurus,
I have a stock transport order between 2 storage location which belongs to the same plant. Besides the stock transport order is allocated to a sales order (account assigment category E). When I run the MD03, the system take into account the quantity of the stock transport order as a future entry and this is wrong. I need that the MRP has not into account the stock transport order as an entry.
As an important information, If I modify the stock transport order removing the account asignment category E (sales order), then the MRP doesn't take into account it, so this is correct.
Could anybody tell me how to get it?
    Thanks in advanced.

    Laura,
It is normal that MRP will consider an STO as a receipt element; this is basic planning.  It is unclear to me why you think you do not want it to do so, but I will assume you have some logical reason.
Contrary to what some others may have suggested, changing the scope of check for availability checking has no effect on which elements are considered for MRP.  MRP is a completely separate functionality from Availability Check.
For Location > Location STOs (within a plant), then, you normally have the receipt element of the STO in the destination storage location, and the requirements element of an equal amount in the source storage location.  Net of these two elements is zero, unless you have already issued the STO at the source location.
Changing the Account assignment from "E" means that the STO will not be relevant for your Sales order (in other words, when you receive this STO into the destination storage location, it cannot be used for your sales order).  In a general MTO scenario, it also means that the proceeds of this STO (the stock you received) cannot be used for ANY sales orders.
One way that some people make an STO 'not relevant' for MRP is to alter the destination storage location such that it is not relevant for MRP.  You can change the MRP relevancy of the storage location in MM02 > MRP4 tab

  • Purchase Order - Issue storage location set mandatory entry

    Hello All,
When create subcontracting PO, want to set the field of Issue storage location as mandatory.
I tried to find configuration "Materials Management>Purchasing>Purchase Order-->Define Screen Layout at Document Level", but there is not entry "Issue storage location" to set the screen layout field.
I searched previous threads, but only find some to mention issue storage location for STO. Now, I just use subcontracting PO that is same as NB document type.
Please your kind suggestion or any method to set  Issue storage location as mandatory in PO.
    Thanks very much!

  • Production Order to storage bin link

    Hi Experts,
I have to develop a report where the client wants to track a FG (Batch managed) based on production order. One of the columns is storage bin as well. Is there a link to production order no and storage bins in SAP tables. Please suggest.
    Regards,
    Sachin

    Hi Vivek,
I went through the logic you provided. Also the requirement has changed a bit. The client wants to track all the material movements related to the orders (261 and 101) with bin numbers. The selection screen is going to be order numbers or material numbers and a date range. It will be either (order no + date range) or (material no + date range).
For order no within a date range, I am passing all the materials in MKPF and looking for material documents posted within this particular date range. Then I am going to MSEG with these material documents and looking for the entered order numbers.
Now, since the MSEG table is too big and the order number is not a key field, I find myself in a big performance issue. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

  • Stock Transport Order  UB order- Delivering Storage Location

We have UB / Stock Transport orders in place. Now we start a new flow of Stock Transport orders from a different Storage Location. When creating a UB order I only have the option to enter delivering Plant, not delivering SLoc.
So far I have a configged a new SLoc, SLoc reference , a new Shipping Condition.
What can I do to pull my materials for this new flow from my new SLoc?
Please let me know what you think, and I will be grateful.

    HI,
    Create a puchase order ME21N ---> Save
Delivery VL10 G ---> Calculation rule (appropriate) --> Assaign the purchase order number here and execute.
Select the Delivery creation line and do the back ground process.
Start the log display and see the delivery document number by the documents button
Goto VL02N --> do picking and PGI --> Then do the MIGO with respect to the delivery document.
Billing (Intercompany pricing conditions should be set).

  • Stock Transport Order - Issuing Storage Location

    Hi gurus -

  • Put away to production lines directly, storage location control WM

We are Using Storagelocation Control Functionality in WM
    We have below Storage locations
    RW01 - Raw Material Storing
PD01 - Materials staged for Production Lines
I have setup 001 as Standard Storage location and 002 as 'not copied to TR'
Few materials are received directly to production lines instead of going to Raw material storage
PO--> GR is posted for PD01
Now TR got generated but doesnt have storage location in it, this is fine as per functionality
When i try to convert to TO it is copying MP01 since it it standard storage location
This is where we are getting 902 negative entries for MP01
No TR creation but bin to bin transer only solution ????

    Any pointers ???

  • Exclude purchase order on storage location from MRP

    Hi Everyone,
We have excluded storage location 1200 from MRP.
The result shows only stock on 1200 excluded from MRP, PO on storage location 1200 (storage location 1200 in PO) still considered in MRP.
Is there any way to exclude PO on 1200 i MRP also?
    Best Regards,
    Bin

    Dear,
Go to MRP 4 view of the material master .
In the field SLoc MRP indicator field "1".
If it is for a material than in the material master level it can be done. If you are looking for all materials in that storage location, than it is better to define this in SPRO->Production->MRP-->Planning-->Define Storage Location per MRP plant. Here for that storage location in that plant you need to define "2" - Storage location stock planned seperately or "1" - Exclude Storage location from MRP.
Also u can use t.code MMSC.
Select Material & Plant and Assign MRP =1 for the Sloc to be excluded

  • Stock transport order between storage locations

    Dear All,
Could you please advise how to achieve the following:
as a target i need to have a stock transfer order automatically generated for stock move from one sloc to another within one plant. ( MB1B for 311 is not needed since planning is required).
E.g. i need to have a STO purchase requisition to be automatically generated by MRP from open Sales Order, so further i could convert it to purchase order manually.
    I have done the following:
    1)
Customized a special procur. type with parameters for plant A:
    Procur. type: F;
    Spec. Procur. U
    Plant: A
    Stck Trsr: blank
    2) SPRO-MM-Purch Order-STO-STO btw slocs:
    - activated
    - assigned delivery type for UB doc. type
    3) in master data, MRP2 tab: production sloc= vendor's sloc; Sloc for EP= recieving sloc.
    4) included external plant number as for vendor to source list for target material.
After the settings above, MRP creates a normal purchase req. but not STO purch. req as i need.
    What settings i'm missing?
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Andrey

  • Storage location & backflush must be automatically set in Production order

    Hi Guru's ,
While creating production order the storage location and backflush for the Components (ROH Articles) inside the Production order are manually selected.
Is there any way, where i can set them (storage location and backflush) as a default whenever i create a Producton order ???  This means whenever i enter the components in a production order the system must automatically show the Storage Location and backflush as ticked.
Pls help on this thing ....
    Best Regards,
    Gurpreet Singh Saini.

    Hi,
To set the backflush always then in the material master MRP2 view set backflush " Always".
To set the automatic storage location then you can define the "Stock determination group".
This is will be help full if ur keeping material in more then one storage location.
If you are keeping in the single storage location then in the MRP2 view maintain the storage location in the "production storage location " filed.
    Regards
    Vijay

  • Production Order Mass Change

    Hello All,
Do you know a transaction which allow mass change of productions orders?
I found COHV, but I'm not sure how to use it, and if is useful for what I need.
What I need is to change let's say for 100 orders field Scheduling margin (Tcode Co02).
    Rewards points guaranteed.
    Thank you
    Bogdan

I don't want to change the material master...
I would like to this on a daily basis on opened production orders.
I would like to fake the order reservation for the default storage location 10 and at a certain date; I want to change in the production orders the storage location 30 (1 day prior to backflush)...
I know it sounds weird; but let me explain the entire process...
we have a stoarage location caged (Locked) ex: 10 where we really know the inventory levels; we would like to order according to the inventory level on this storage location.
--> At a point in time we will issue to another storage location (Production area)ex: 30 the material physically.  In SAP we would issue to a cost center the material.
--> Storage location 30 allows negative stock (in fact there will nevever be any stock)
--> at the end of the month we will know the standard consumptions (total of the negative quantitiues in storage location 30)
-->  We will also know the real consumptions according to the content of cost center (related to stor. 10)
In order to do that we need to change the storage location 10 --> 30 before backflush.
If we do not change it the backflush will not be done at the right place.
If we always use stor. 30, our dependent requirements / inventory level / Pur req will be mixted and we don't want that.
The production area is hard to control and the inventory there is rarely good because the processes are specials.
--> ex: huge paper rolls:  Before starting a lot, we need an entire roll (to avoid stops) in fact in the inventory we have 4 rolls with remaining quantity of 0.25 (4x0.25 = 1) for example.  So for the buyer we're ok, but for the operations its not enough..
I hope my problem is clearer...
Any suggestions would be very appreciated...
    Regards!

  • Storage Location & Batch Number

    Hi Experts
I am doing Milestone confirmation of the last operation, at that time the Materials are also Issued to the Production Order, the storage location and Batch number should appear in the goods movement screen so that Milestone confirmation is successful.
Can you let me know where I should maintain inorder that the storage location and batch numbers are derived and the milestone confirmation is done without any errors.
    Please revert on the above.
    Thanks....

    Dear Jade,
The storage location and Batch of the component are populated from production order. To default the location of a component in the order creation, you need to maintain it either in BOM>Item details>Status/Lng text Tab or in material master MRP-2 view of the component.
For Batch to appear automatically on goods movement screen of confirmation, you need to carry out the batch determination on Change order> component overview screen. You can carry out batch determination on goods movement screen also (As per your choice).
I hope this will solve your problem.
    Regards,
    Uday
