Profile Download without LR/PS?
Hey there,
on the computer where I run adobe air and the Profile Downloader there's no LR or PS installed.
But it seems nonetheless that I am able to download lens profiles, at least I don't get any error message when pressing the download button.
Where are those profiles then downloaded to if there's no LR/PS to assign them to?
I run win7 and checked for the designated folder:
Windows Vista / Windows 7
C:\Users\(User Name)\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\1.0
C:\ProgramData\Adobe\CameraRaw\LensProfiles\1.0
but this folder doesn't exist.
anyone can help me finding those profiles?

I installed the LPD on a server I just built that has no Adobeness on it, other than I also had to install the AIR application to run the AIR app. I didn't pre-create any Adobe folders, muself.
I ran the LPD and Downloaded one profile so it said "Installed" next to it.
I searched my computer from the Start Menu search box, and it didn’t find anything, almost immediately.
I clicked on See More Results which opened the Search Results in Libraries explorer window.
I clicked on Custom..., expanded Computer and put a checkmark next to my C drive and clicked Ok. There was a warning about it being slow because the Index was not running, but I let it go ahead with a progress bar slowing going across the address area, and it eventually found an .lcp file:
C:\Users\myusername\AppData\Roaming\Adobe\CameraRAW\LensProfiles\1.0\Downloaded\longstring ofgiberrish.lcp
Opening this file in a text editor, it is indeed the profile I just downloaded.

Trouble trying to use Adobe Lens Profile Downloader

Ive got a legal copy of Lightroom, downloaded & installed Air, downloaded and installed Adobe Lens Profile Downloader, got 2 Adobe accounts but cannot get either account to log in using the Adobe Lens Profile Downloader, so I cannot even start to download lens profiles.
Any suggestions please?

PS if I go to photoshop.com as indicated in Adobe Lens Profile Downloader, neither account logs me in even though Ive reset both passwords from photoshop.com, but both log me in on adobe.com, hence me being able to post here!I am going to create some profiles since the profiles are not available for my camera. Once they are created on your computer you can upload them to the Adobe library using the downloader to share with the rest of the community. In other words the downloader will provide a means for you to manage your profiles on your computer those that you have and those that you don't have and those that you want to delete or replace. Note that there is a delete and submit button. I do not have any created yet to upload/submit but I would suspect that when you wanto to submit a profile you will be required to login. I tried this to submit a rating and comments and got the same message about not being able to login.

How can users add their devices to Profile Manager without a user account?
We would like to allow company devices to be tracked, inventoried and managed in Profile Manager without creating a user account for each person so they can log into /MyDevices to download the mobile profiles. We aren't staffed to have someone manage user accounts as quickly as iPads are being purchased.
If we can't do some kind of guest access, can one user, maybe called Enroll, have literally one thousand devices attached to them?
The other alternative is to have the profiles on a small webpage with a password to download.the easiest way is to use apple configurator
using apple configurator
enable enrollment in PM
un tick restrict to users in device library
apple configurator should pick up your server certs
and the PM auto enrollment profile
setup a enrolment wifi lan
configure your IOS devices with apple configurator adding the
server cert and your enrolment wifi lan
you'll still have to handle each device tapping yes to install each profile
but you should end up with the ipads in PM with no users
from there you can set which wifi you wish them to connect to
eg staff wifi, email setings, VPN etc.
open the correct ports on firewalls to allow PM to work internaly and externaily
and pr any port forwading as nessessary and you'll be able to wipe lock change settings outside on your network, providing the device is online. -
Downloading the Lens Profile Downloader (AIR, 1.0 MB)
I have made 4 attempts to download this program for Windows 7 and CS5 (64 bit). I have successfully downloaded Adobe Air as required. However, when I try to open LensProfielDowloader.swf I get an error message. It won't let me copy and past the message so here it is in my own words. "Adobe Reader cannot open LensProfileDownloader.swf because the file has been damaged."
Is there aproblem at Adobe's end with this program? Anyone have any ideas? WIthout this program I have no access to lens profiles created by individuals and shared with Adobe.

Double clicked on the installer and the installer completed?
You probably have a shortcut on the desktop or under All Programs from the start menu.
What happens when you double click on that shortcut? -

Go into the App Store, tap Updates, and at the top should appear Purchases. Hit the tab that says "Not on this iPhone" to download again

I wish I fully understood your post, but perhaps you should try re-downloading. Are you trying to download the 10.7.3 update? If so, then try downloading OS X Lion Update 10.7.3 (Client Combo).

but if you like you can delete them manually
for these :
1.open downloads from menu button on right or by simply pressing (Ctrl +J )
2.Then select the downloaded file you want to delete by a single click on it.
3. You will find a folder type icon on right side of that , in which you should click.
4. Then it will open folder where the selected file saved.
5. Then you can delete that file .

"blocked plugin" means you are using an outdated Flash Player version; Apple/Safari will block anything older than 15.0.0.189.

Cannot Install Lens Profile Downloader
I'm trying to get user created profiles for my Sony cameras and lenses, as LR doesn't have very many built in.
I need to install the profile downloader, which downloads as a ".air" file. I've uninstalled Adobe Air and reinstalled the latest version but when I try to install the "Adobe_Lens_Profile_Downloader_1_0_1.air" file I get the message:
"Sorry, an error has occurred.
This application cannot be installed because this installer has been misconfigured. Please contact the application author for assistance."
Any ideas?

EliI saw that uninstalling the previous version (1.0) worked for others, but it has not worked for me. When I try to install version 1.0.1 I get the following error message:

I first installed the latest version of Adobe Air (v3.5). I then tried three different approaches to uninstall ALPD 1.0. First I dragged ALPD 1.0 to the Trash, rebooted the Mac, and then tried to install ALPD 1.0.1. Got the error message above.
I reinstalled ALPD 1.0 from a backup disk, ran it to make sure it was working, then used AppZapper to delete the application, its cache, and its preferences. I rebooted the Mac, and then tried to install ALPD 1.0.1. Got the error message above.
