Project templates for FrameMaker to RH mappings

Hello,
I just noticed a sample script installed with Robohelp called Project Template Generator (Project Template Generator.jsx).
Does anyone know what this script does exactly and how I would import it into another project?
I would like to have a way in which to save all my project mappings, and the Save Settings to and subsequent Load settings from functions accessible in the Project settings dialog doesn't work for my FM template (our company template is a bit complicated and has a lot of tags). I've contacted Adobe support and they couldn't get this feature to work with my template either, so I'm really interested in the Project Template Generator script...I know how to run a script, but I don't know what this script does exactly, and how I'd import it into a new project.

It is intended to create a new RoboHelp project with all the same settings and content that are defined in the template. It is described on my site at http://www.grainge.org/pages/authoring/project_templates/templates.htm
There's just one teensy weensy problem, the script is flawed!
I managed to get the replacement script referenced to work by immediately closing the new project, trashing the CPD and reopening the project but that was in simple tests.
I don't know if it would hold the settings you want.
Take a look at what is on my site and post back any questions. Right now though I am off to bed as it's late here.

Best Practices or Project Template for Rep/Version

I have installed the Repository 6i (3) and created the users successfully, even though it has taken a lot of effort to make sure each step is correct.
However, on setting up the workareas and importing the project files, I have been trying back and force to figure out where things go, and who has what access.
Is there something like a best practice or a project template for setting up a basic repository/version control system, that provides
1. the repository structure,
2. corresponding file system structure (for different developers, build manager, etc)
3. access grants, and
4. work scenarios, etc.
The Technet demos and white papaers are either too high-level (basic), or too individual function oriented. I can't get a clear picture of the whole thing, since there are so many concepts and elements that don't easily go together.
Considering that I am a decent DBA and developer, it has taken me 2 weeks, and I am still not ready to sign up other developers to use this thing. How do you expect any small development teams to ever use it? It's one thing to design it to be scalable and all-possible, it's another to make it easily usable. I have been suggested to use MS VSS. The only reason I am still trying Ora-Rep is its promise to directly support Designer and Oracle objects.

Where can I get project template for Web Dynpro example&

Hello,
There is an example in SAP NetWeaver Developer Studio Documentation for creating a Web Dynpro Application accessing ABAP functions. It references the initial Web Dynpro project template file: TutWD_FlightList_Init.zip. How can I get it?
It is not available in the SAP Developer Network (Web Application Server area | Samples and Tutorials).

Project Templates

It would be extremely helpful if you could download pre-made logic project templates from somewhere. By this I mean I wish I could download a project template for say...drums, with 8 tracks, and eq, compression, verb, etc. already set. I would love to at least have a rough template to build off of rather than start completely from the start, although it's not that hard, just a thought.

I didn't overlook the saving feature, i'm saying if someone had templates for a specific type of music, like a metal guitar setting it would at least give you a starting point.

Finite Measurements Project template

Hello,
I am using the Finite Measurements Project template for acceleration
acquisition using an accelerometer. I made changes to the project and it is
working properly except for these three major points:
1) Copy Graph- How do I put a ask user to define file path (A pop-up window)? It only
allows me to change the file path in the block diagram window.
2) Update UI -I would like to change to a free running VI and update the main
user interface during an acquisition real time. How do I do this? I tried
adding a data display loop. But it is not working properly.
3) Analyze- I would like to press the analyze button and be able to convert the
acceleration data to an FFT in the frequency domain. But it is not able to export the FFT data into the Main.VI

If you are able to attach your project to your post it would help us out a lot.
1. You can use the "File Dialog" Express VI and have the output of that VI go into the input of the invoke node. This VI just pops up a browser similar to when you are saving a file so it might be better in the future to make your own SubVI so the user has a better idea what they are doing.
2. This is where an attachment will come in handy but it looks to me like you are trying to use a queue to update a graph but I am not seeing where you are Enqueuing data.
3. I see you use the FFT functions but I am not sure what you are doing after you auto-index the outputs. You might need to just add a FP indicator and wire that to the connector pane but again an attachment would probably clear this up.

Queued Message Handler Project Template

Hello,
Currently prepping for CLD exam.
I was told we could use LV 2012 Professional Version. Is it OK during exam to use Project template for Queued Message Handler to generate VIs and block diagram code? Or must a QMH be generated from scratch?
I assume there will be a main VI which we must modify, but the thought was to reuse the generated template code into this VI.

You can use templates, examples etc that ships with LabVIEW. I am sure I read this somewhere, will post a link if I find it.

Can a RoboHelp project be used as a template for other projects?

I noticed there is the ability to "duplicate a layout". Does
that mean I can use my RoboHelp project with all its settings as a
template for other projects. I corrupted an existing project by
deleting a generated HTML file. I forced an update on one of the
chapters in a linked FM book and now for whatever reason in the
generated output, the entire book is being re-created within the
folder for the chapter in which I deleted the HTML output and
forced an output.
Surely I don't have to redefine all the settings again in the
FrameMaker Document Settings dialog, and in the WebHelp layout. All
enlightenment is much appreciated. Come on baby give it to me one
more time! Sorry couldn't resist. It is Friday after all.

In one way, yes you can. You are able to use Windows Explorer
to copy the project folder to a new location. Once you do that, you
can open RoboHelp and open the project. Then click File > Rename
Project and off you go.
Not sure what to tell you about the Frame > RoboHelp
mashup. Not familiar with Frame yet. Hopefully someone more savvy
there will pop in and help.

Manual creation of Project Site for a project is taking old project site template.

Dear All,
I have modified the project site and save it as a template to associate it with an EPT so that the modification will reflect in new project sites.
For existing projects, I am deleting the old project sites (after taking backup) and recreating so that new modifications will be there for existing projects and I am able to do so.
But, for 1 of the project, when I have deleted the project site and recreated, still it is taking the old template (i.e. new modifications has not been seen).
Kindly advice in some areas so that I can jump in and around and can find out a solution so that the project site will take modified project template.
Example to get the issue in an easy way:
ProjectA:
Project Site: http://epm/pwa/ProjectA
Issue List:
Column: Category [data type as Choice: Cat1, Cat2, Cat3]
Have saved 1 project site as a template and associated with an EPT with the following changes:
Column: Category [data type as Choice: Choice1, Choice2, Choice3]
Then, deleted the project site: http://epm/pwa/ProjectA and recreated.
So, it should take the modifications in the project site.
But, it is showing as Column: Category [data type as Choice: Cat1, Cat2, Cat3].

Nope. It is similar as other projects.
How do you proceed to create the new project site? Do you go to the site actions, then new site and pick up your new template?
First I have modified 1 of the project site and saved that site as a template.
Then, I have deleted the existing project site (from Project Sites under Operational Policies) and recreated so that project site will gets created from the new template. But, it's not happening.

How to use myself JSP template for my projects

I am using JDev 10. .I realized the default templates of JSP in JDev don't match with my projects so I want to create my own template for JSP Pages. I read some threads in Forum about this problem but I am a beginner, I cannot understand fully and don't know the way to create template nor adding it into Project. Someone can tell me where I can find the tutorials, examples(demo).

Hi,
The Bex report uses the Standard Template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN while it is executed.
So if your sure that the look and feel of all the Reports is going to remain same, you don't need to even attach all these Queries to Templates in WAD.
When you execute the BEx query, it would pick up the standard template and run it in portal.
But if you want to customize the Report Template:
1) You can change this standard template 0ANALYSIS_PATTERN and customize it according to ur requrement in WAD.
2) Or you can create a copy of this standard template and change it as required. Then change the template in spro (transaction RSCUSTV27) to point to this Z template.

Missing "Save Site as Template" For Publishing Sites in Project online 2013

First I created Sub site using Project Template under the site collection.
Now I want to this Sub site Save as a Site Template. When I went for Save site as Template in site setting. Under Site Action there is no option for “Save site as Template”

Motion project length for FCPX effects templates.

When creating a Motion Effect Template for FCPX, is there a recommend project length? Is shorter better since the effect will change based on the clip length in FCPX? Or does it really matter as long as it is long enough to cover all included behaviors, etc? Thank you.

Generally the 10 second default duration works quite well.

What's the best Visual Studio 2010 (VB) template for my project?

Hi,
I'm about to embark on a project which will end with a website that gathers users info (name, email, description, youtube address etc), then will display that info to other users via filtering.
My initial instinct is to create an empty website, then create a standard membership site with a database
(See here) then to add a few tables that will allow me to gather the extra data.
Should I:
Use the ASP.NET Empty Website template as per the link
Use the ASP.NET Website template which has all the pages already set up (not sure if the database has already been set up with this)
Use the ASP.NET Dynamic Data Entities Website template
Or something else completely?
(ps, When I click on online templates I get 'No Items Found'
