Prompt for next screen while displaying output

hi all,
i can't remember what setting I should do in SQL*Plus to have one screen with whatever the # of lines displayed and then be prompted before going to the next set of n lines and so on until the whole output is displayed.
On a more general line; how do I view the values of the present settings in SQL*Plus? Sorry, haven't used it in awhile,

I guess you can actually specify the key to press
SQL> set pause "Press Enter"
SQL> set pause on
SQL> select * from tab;
Press Enter

Hi,
For master data maintenance no need of transport request. Ask your basis people to remove transport request option for master data maintenance. Earlier I faced the similar problem I report basis team and they removed it.

Decimal Notation while displaying outputs

Hi All,
There are two typs of decimal notations first is 1,000.00 and other is 1.000,00.These are maintained in user profile settings. Are these specific to countries also?
If I want to display amount in the output with correct decimal notation, decimal notaion at which level should be considered User level or Country level?

Hi,
If we specify the country key the system do not consider the settings from the user master record and searches table T005X for the country key. If the country key exists, the system sets sy-subrc equal to 0 and formats the output of all the 'WRITE' statements according to the settings defined in T005X. If the country key you specified does not exist, the system sets sy-subrc equal to 4 and formats for all 'WRITE' statements with the decimal characters as period '.'.
thinking on this point of view its better to specify the country key......

The setting which are described in this blog i have deployed on Test Task Sequence but that didnt work for me in that sense that its doesnt Prompt for Description while installation.

Back or Next screen in different fx files.

I would like to build a simple application where a button to go for Next screen and back for Main screen.
First, the screens must be separated in different .fx files, for example Main.fx Second.fx. Then Main screen contains a button to go for the Second screen. Second screen contains a button to return for the Mains screen.
Main screen contains a simple text just to identify current screen, the same happens in Second screen, but the text should be "Second" or something else.
Is it possible?

Well, if I google javafx scene switch I can see a number of examples.
But since that's something I haven't tried yet, I just coded a little example of my own. Not exactly what you asked (all test code was on same file) but it is easy enough to adapt to your requirements.

Appearane of 'Music' functions (I>> > II <<I, plus volume slider) on the lock/log in screen (when first turning on the iPhone) thus far seems without pattern, i.e. regardless of which if any applications are up in the background, and indeed even when all have been quit.
All visual aspects of 'Music' appear normal after launch including the title scroll across the top in vertical mode. However, while pressing play (>) converts the play (>) icon to pause (II), selected song does not play and the elapsed time bar (upper end between the track count and the repeat/shuffle icons) remains stationary at 0:00 or at any point to which it is dragged. When using home sharing this same problem persists regardless of what output is selected.
Hope that may prompt a thought somewhere.

Not able to display PA30 next screen when I say create for a custom info

i have created a custom infotype, when i run the transaction PA30 to create a record for that in one client the screen is displayed, when i run the transaction in different client and say create, the next screen is not displayed, remains in the first screen. what could be the reason, how do i slove it.

It will transport your custom infotype automatically if you assign a transport request number in client1. I think you did manually in client2 and missed to generate the module pool/screens while using tcode PM01.
If above case is true then you will have to re-generate the steps for module pool screen(s) with your structure fields.

It's highly unlikely that the Pages update problem has anything to do with the ARD client update, since the client is not involved in any way with Software Update. I'd suggest asking for assistance with the update problem in the forum appropriate for your version of Mac OS X.

How can I assign a period (instead of B) in Keynote for blank screen so I can use a Logitech R800 presenter? An option in next version?

I have recently bought a Logitech R800 presenter which works very well with Keynote on a MacBook Pro. The start/stop presentation key does not work but that can be easily fixed by assigning F5 to "Start presentation" for Keynote in the keyboard system preferences. The remaining issue is that the blank screen button sends a period (".") which works as a prompt for a blank screen in PowerPoint, but in Keynote it causes the slideshow to end. Keynote uses the letter "B" for blank screen.
How can I assign a period (instead of B) in Keynote for blank screen? Some sort of work around would be very useful as I often use blank screen in my presentations and much prefer Keynote to PowerPoint.
Perhaps it will be an option in next version of Keynote?

As far as I know you can not change these keystrokes without changing the Program files. I am sure it is possible there, but I have no idea where to even start to tell you where to find it.
Your best bet it to go to the Keynote Menu>Provide Keynote Feedback and let Apple know you would like the option to change them.

In another warehouse this function works properly. I am using OWB 10gR2 (10.2.0.1.31).

If you run OWB using the supplied shell script or batch file are there other errors on the console before the exception. OWB uses a component (OLAPI does some validation over and above any other) which dumps the errors on the the standard output which often illustrates some invalid metadata in the OLAP catalog.

Help on ALV GRID display outputting format for 2 internal tables

Hi,
    I have requirement in ALV GRID where I need to display the data from 2 internal tables. The first internal table has the content of Delivery due list data and second the internal table has the corresponding stock transfer data of the Delivery Due list. I have a checbox on my selection screen, when unchecked it should output the 1st internal table data, i.e for Delivery due list. When it is checked then it should output 1st Internal table data + 2nd internal table data of stock transfer. For example, 1 document delivery due list data and 2nd line for that document should show the stock transfer data. You can also check the transaction code VL10E for that will show a delivery due list...and for stock tranfer,you need to check with Purchase order in in the USer Role tabstrip. Pls suggest.

I want to know the concept of Interactive report i have work on simple and ALV reports, as per my present requirement of vendor outstanding balance i have made a report as per my requirement i have data in 3 final tables itab1 itab2   itab3,
itab1 have all the data related to vendor bills line item wise,    itab2 have the data only as per vendor means for one vendor one entry adding all the line item amount in one row,   itab3 have the data as per reconcile account
in my requirement firsti want to display itab3       and after this if vendor click on any reconcile account itab2 to be display only those record as per selected reconcile account further to this on next screen if user click on any vendor system should disply the itab1 record as per selected vendor from second screen.

Dashboard prompt for report which displays curent and previous FY

We have a dashboard with the prompt for the FY and one of the reports on the dashboard should show results for selected FY and previous FY. Report has filters Fiscal Year is greater than or equal to PREVIOUS_FSCL_YEAR AND Fiscal Year is less than or equal to CURRENT_FSCL_YEAR. However if filters are not protected report will display only results for FY selected in prompt but if they are protected it will then ignore prompt. Any idea how to resolve this issue? We need this solution if FY 2009 is selected in the prompt report will display results for FY2008 and FY2009 or if FY 2010 is selected report will display results for FY2009 and FY2010.

Hi,
You can do this by creating a dynamic variable in the RPD for the current year as:
SELECT (TO_CHAR(sysdate,'YYYY')) from dual. This will produce Current Year value.
In the Answers for the report which refers to the Year Column. Make a filter from the Year Column. While making filter Click on 'Advanced' in the Filter--> Convert this filter to SQL. And inside it write this forumla: Column_name_will come=VALUEOF(Dynamic_Variable_Name)
For Example-"Time Period Year"."Calendar Year" = VALUEOF("Current_Year_Var")
Make similar filter and write the SQL Filter as- "Time Period Year"."Calendar Year" = VALUEOF("Current_Year_Var")-1
(This will give you the last year value)
And important is make it as 'OR' condition between the two filters.

Best screen resolution and output for CBT

What would be the best screen resolution and output mode IYO for a CBT (Computer Based Training) program? We would like to do either CD or online. We are toying with either, so which do you think would be a better option for what Captivate is capable of? Thanks!

While most of our employees have similar screen resolutions, a few have larger (or smaller) set ups and since we wish to avoid horizontal and vertical scroll bars; we publish with Captivate's 800 x 600 setting. This allows us to get a bit larger imagery in place.
Whatever you choose, try and pick something and stay consistent. This is beneficial in the event you have to transfer slides between modules.

Why does screen saver prompt for secure disk image password?

Okay, seems like an odd problem, but here it goes.
I go into System Preferences->Dektop & Screen Saver. As the program "loads" availabe image sources and such I get a pop-up requesting a password to my secure disk image.
Yes, I have a secure disk image in my home directory.
Yes, the secure disk image is currently "locked" (Not mounted in finder).
I click cancel (a few times, probably 2 maybe 3 times) and things continue along fine.
I select a photo source that I want for a screen save and exit peferences.
I then go an start the screen saver (I'm using Hot-Corners).
I get the message "Looking for pictures....." for , well...basically forever...
Sure enough I touch the mouse to leave my screen saver and there is the pop-up again. Asking for me to unlock my secure
disk image.
I thought this might be related to Spotlight. I tried reading several threads and have gone as far as taking my entire hard-drive/volume
and putting it into the "Privacy" tab under spotlight.
Anybody have any idea on what is going on and how I might get it so the "Desktop & Screen Saver" stop prompting me to unlock my
secure disk image? (WITHOUT having to make sure the disk image is unlocked before I sleep my screen or open the screen saver utlity)
As always, I am only speculating that this is Spotlight related so that could be a red-herring....

Update: i made some progress on this issue. I found that in the ~/picture/iPhot Library/Database/ directory
there is a file called Library.apdb. This file has an entry for the secure disk image i have/had. I moved the file
to Libraryapdb.bkup and sure enough, my picture problem went away. The screen aaver panel no longer prompts
me to unlock my secure disk image.
So now the next chapter of my problem;when i open up iPhoto it wants to rebuild my photo library(which makes
sense and is what i want to haopen) so i allow it. After about 25 mins it has rebuilt the iPhoto library, but there is
one problem. The secure diskimage reference is back in the Library.apdb file that has been recreated!
So now i need to figure outnhow to get iPhoto to remove anynreference to a phot library i once had on the secure
disk image but have long since removed.
I first created an iPhoto library on my secure disk image by holding the option key and invoking iPhoto.
I removed that library awhile ago....
So how do i make iPhoto remove a no longer used iPhoto library?
