PS Elements 6 moved editing box off screen

I was adjusting brightness and moved the brightness editing box off the screen. Now I can't get it back to close and all the menu items are greyed out so I can't save or close anything. Anyone have any ideas. I don't want to lose 2 hrs. editing.

Try changing the resolution of your screen to a higher setting. That should make every thing on the screen smaller but it may also allow you to see the 'lost' pallette.

  • Upload file box off screen

I've recently had trouble with my macbook while uploading files. I click on the "upload file" button and the box that pops up that lets me choose a file is so large that the bottom is off the screen. This means that I can't click on "upload" or "cancel". The only way I know how to proceed is to click on a file and push the enter key. Does anyone know how to make that box smaller so that it fits completely on the screen?

    HI,
Go to System Preferences/Displays. Check your resolution.
    Also, try Facebook's Simple Loader.
Hard to see in this pic but under where you see "Cancel" click where you see:
"Try the Simple Uploader" ... much easier to use.

  • Dialog boxes appear off screen

    Hi!
I'm using Illustrator CC on a MacBook Pro. I use an external monitor as a second screen and usually move the application frame to the external monitor and work there. I started having the follwing problem: when I try to save or open a file, the dialogue box appears slightly off screen, so that I can't for instance type in a new file name, because I can't get to that part of the dialogue box.
I have tried switching between different screen modes, but it doesn't help. Also I can't manually move the dialog box - which also seems strange.
My external monitor is a NEC MultiSync EA273WM.
Any idea what could be the problem or how to solve it? It's slowly driving me mad...
    Thanks in advance!

At the moment it looks like the problem is called 10.10.2
You can read through the posts of last week on this forum, but I'm afraid you won't find a solution.

  • Window Goes Off-Screen When Mouse arrow Is Moved To Upper Right Hand Corner

It seems like this happened recently. When the mouse is moved and pointed to the upper right hand corner of the screen everything displayed goes off-screen to the right and left sides. The edge of the window is shown on the right side and a shadow on the left side- when I click on those everything pops back on-screen. I have a bad habit of moving my mouse quickly and this has become annoying.
I thought it may have been a "Hot Corner" but I checked and this feature is not enabled(in Expose/Dashboard)
How do I disable this feature?
    Thank you in advance.
    Steve

    Hello Steve:
It definitely sounds like the hot corner "all windows" is enabled. There is a preference file that needs to be trashed, but I cannot figure out which one (no help to you).
Be sure that none of the hot corners are enabled and then restart.
You might also try resetting PRAM (although I do not think that will do anything).

  • Import dialog box displaying off screen

When I'm in the office, I work in a dual-monitor environment.
However, when working at home, I have only my laptop monitor.
If I need to import something - html file, template file,
etc. - the dialog box is displaying off screen.
I've shut down and restarted, but still the same result. When
I try to resize the RH window, it resizes off screen.
My display properties indicate only one monitor.
    How to fix?
    Thanks!
    Cindy

    Hi Cindy
Sounds like you need some multiple monitor managing software.
    Try these:
    MultiMon (Free)
    UltraMon (Paid)
Other than that, you can try flying blind and navigating
using the keyboard or maybe bump your resolution to the highest
possible setting and perhaps that will bring the dialog either
    partially or totally into view.
    Cheers... Rick

  • Elements Organizer Menu Off Screen Mac OS X

Photoshop elements organizer was loading and I was changing the size of the window.  The program was kind of freezing and the top of the window got dragged off screen.  Nothing I have tried has gotten the window to its regular size.  I have tried changing the computers resolution, closing the program, reopening it, and restarting the computer.  I don't have the option of using the window > zoom.  Has anyone had this problem and solved it?
    Thanks!

  • Fill Find edit box of Formatted search screen

    Hi,
I have an edit box and a choose button.
when I click on that choose button I get a formatted search screen.
I want the value typed in the edit box to be defaulted in the
Find Edit box of the foratted search screen.
Say I type "1" in my edit box, My formatted search screen should pop up having "1"
in the Find edit box and results pertaining to value "1"(like wild card search)
should be displayed in the formatteed search screen.
Can anyone tell me as how to implement this?

The reference to $[x.0.0] was simply meant to point you towards using the formatted search syntax for selecting fields from the current screen for use in your query.
The two techniques I mentioned were not meant to be used together, you could either use the sendkeys, or the $[x.0.0] syntax depending on which result you wanted.
The $[x.0.0] syntax actually goes in the query that is saved for the formatted search, you don't need to do anything with it programatically at runtime, business one does it for you.  You can get a formatted search to pick values up from the current screen by using syntax such as $[$4.0.0] or $[$OINV.CARDCODE]. This particular example will pick up the cardcode from a document screen.  Look in the standard help file under Formatted Searches for more details.
I have attached a sample query showing how it can be used with fields based on userdatasources in custom screens.  This one can be used to show product lookups out when the user has already keyed in a partial product code.  At runtime the $[#018.UItem] reference automatically gets replaced with the value currently in the item field.
    DECLARE @Item Varchar(20)
    SET @Item = RTRIM($[#018.UItem]) + '%'
    SELECT T0.ItemCode, T0.ItemName FROM OITM T0 WHERE T0.ItemCode LIKE @Item FOR BROWSE
If you haven't seen this type of formatted search processing before, I would recommend you try to spend a little time learning it - it sometimes eliminates the need for writing SDK code at all.
    Regards,
    John.

I am aware I am not using the latest version of Firefox. Bases on what I've read I'm not going to like the changes in the latest version and do not want to change versions until absolutely forced too.
This problem occurs in safe mode, and with multiple profiles.
I have seen some reports from other people saying they have the same problem.

If you have made changes to Advanced font settings like increasing the minimum font size then try the default setting "none" in case the current setting is causing problems.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced > Minimum Font Size (none)
Make sure that you allow websites to choose their fonts.
*Tools > Options > Content : Fonts & Colors > Advanced: [X] "Allow pages to choose their own fonts, instead of my selections above"
It is better not to increase the minimum font size, but to use an extension to set the default page zoom to prevent issues with text not being displayed properly.

  • Layers Moving Off Screen When I click Around

Hi everyone, I am experiencing an annoying issue with Photoshop CS5 12.0.4. In my normal and quick workflow I notice that at random times when I am in and out of the layers and onto the canvas, sometimes layers go sailing off screen eventhough I am not moving them. Its as if PS is tracking my movements off screen and just blasting the layers all around. I saw the problems last week sometime on the forum, but I can't seem to find the thread again. Anyone have any clue what the heck could be causing this?
Running windows 7 x64, PS x64, I also have a Logoitech G9X high res mouse.

Do you mean that the entire image pans out of sight, or further than you wanted it to?    It sounds like the flick pan feature that came in with CS4.  You hold down the space bar to pan, flick the screen with the left mouse button, and it keeps on going.  Is that what you mean? If yes, then left click the screen to stop the pan.
Hmmm...  Reading your post again, I am getting the impression that you know your way round the app, and it is nothing so simple.

Are you referring to "rejected" clips?
If so, you can either use the Unmark Selected Video Button (star outline button in toolbar) or the Show dropdown menu and choose Rejected Only.
Not sure what you mean by "editing box" either. Do you mean the Project window?

  • Om Mac 10.8 firefox window keeps moving off screen without me touching anything so I cant accomplish anything.

I cant use firefox. It slides by itself of screen and I need to go to dock to bring it back. It happens every few minutes and sometimes even more frequently. While is off screen I am able to enter information into it. So it satays open but invisible

Are you accidentally hitting the F11 key? That will cause any open window to slide off the screen.

  • View coordinates window is off-screen

I have an unconventional dual-monitor setup while my laptop is docked. It's resulted in the coordinates window being located far off-screen. I've moved the secondary monitor around the desktop area to try and locate the window to move it back within view, but have not had success. I've undocked to try and locate the window but have not been successful. I've reset DIadem but this has not brought the window back in view. DIadem isn't very handy for my use without that window.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

The first solution in the link goes through how to locate a window that is registered as a window with windows explorer, thus giving it a bar on the taskbar. Unfortunately the coordinate window isn't, so I can't locate it with the "move" action.
On the second solution, I should have been specific that I'm using windows XP, and a corporate image at that. I don't find appdata in my user folder (for XP that's C:\Documents and Settings\User\.appdata\). Where's the config file in XP?
EDIT: I actually just tried to use only the keyboard shortcuts immediately after enabling the coordinate window. DIadem's main window loses focus, so I figured perhaps the coordinate window is given focus. So, I hit Alt+space and the dialog box appears on my screen nearest to the location of the coordinate window. From there I can select "move" with the mouse and by moving the mouse after that, the coordinate window appears underneath it. Fixed!
    Howtogeek:
Note: For keyboard savvy people, you can just alt-tab to the window, use Alt+Space, then M, then Arrow key, and then move your mouse.

  • Spry Menu Bar jumps off screen-right in CS6

Frustrating little glitch I'm experiencing.  When in a NON-LIVE mode in CS6, I have a Spry Menu Bar that I've placed, customized and is functioning properly.  It is precisely in the right location in BOTH live mode and in a browser preview, however, when I am editing the site the menu bar jumps off screen right to where I have to scroll right to locate it.  The only thing that pops it back in to place is by tweaking a setting like "Float" from right to left then back to right.  But once I begin to edit the site again it will jump off the screen.  This isn't a massive deal since it remains in place in live and preview modes, it's just annoying for layout purposes while I'm editing.  It sort of screws up the aesthetic of the layout.  Has anyone found the same problem?  Below is my layout.css and my Spry Menu css.
