PSA SE 3 fails to reload in same computer session!!!

hey everyone ... or those interested enuf to visit this thread :)
i have an issue:
if in the same computer session, i open this app then close it [ctrl-k, exit or X], it fails to reload a 2nd time [a process instance flashes in task manager but the instance doesn't run].
tm already shows a process instance from my 1st use of the app, if i click 'end process' it doesn't end but by 'end process' i can reload the app.
a 2nd process runs in tm for the 2nd use of the app [the number of process instances concurs with the number of times i have used the app during the same computer session].
i must click 'end process' in tm for EVERY instance before i can again reload the app [lets say i've used the app 7 times during that same computer session, then i must 'end process' the 7 instances in tm BEFORE i can open the app again [thus resulting in another process instance].
can anyone help me with this issue!??!? i've logged a bug report and i'm disgruntled to learn that i won't get a response from them!!! *salutes adobe*
i have a couple more issues [all since upgrading/updating to reader 7.5 and this app and i might have to rely on your collective heads to get it solved cos i doubt i'll get any relief from sending bug reports [after all, it could be my installation]. i have uninstalled and reinstalled a number of times to try and sort it out myself, but i am failing and i'm beginning to lose patience.
thanks and best regards
rox

:)
thank you for your reply ... i very much appreciate it *smiles again*
i've actually uninstalled the damn thing ... as i have done also with adobe reader [7.0.5 or something ... the current version anywayz] anticipating that uninstalling AND reinstalling the reader only would cure my ills ... UNFORTUNATELY, it didn't ... everytime i USE the reader, it too refuses to open if i *need* it during the same computer session AND it jams my log off/shutdown ... its another 'task manager ... end process' issue too ... methods of closing the program mess with my computer :/ ... so annoyed!!!
this situation however i will reserve for an independent [sp???] thread...
i will reply again to this once i have performed the *deletions* you have recommended for PSA SE 3 ... i think tho i need some answers regarding my *reader* issues first *scratches head*
thank you diksha for your interest and i am sure, valuable information...

  • 2960X Stack Fails After reload Command

    Did not find anything in Bug Tool or these forums for this so posting as a new question.
    Environment is multiple stacks of  2960X -48FPD-L switches in different IDF's running IOS 15.0(2)EX5.   They were installed new and configured by another party about one month ago.  Current configuration is attached to this post.
    Switch stack fails to rebuild/sync after CLI reload command via telnet session.  IP stack appears to not initialize so no  network connectivity comes up even though per the onsite staff the master switch system LED's are green and one of the uplinks is connected to that switch..
    The system LED's of the other switches are amber.
    Remedy for the time being is for someone onsite to power cycle all the switches in 20 second master reelection window.
    Have not yet had opportunity to go onsite to console into one of the master switches to reload and monitor the process from that perspetive.
    One telltale that makes me wonder about EX5 is the reload command as documented in the 15.0(2)EX Switch Manager command reference here:
    http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/switches/lan/catalyst2960x/software/15-0_2_EX/stack_manager/command_reference/b_stck_152ex_2960-x_cr/b_stck_152ex_2960-x_cr_chapter_01.html#wp3486313748
    should prompt with,
    "Proceed to reload the whole Stack? [confirm]"
    but actually only prompts with,
    "Proceed with reload? [confirm]"
    as if the command was 'reload slot 1' instead of just 'reload'.
    I have not found anything in the config missing/wrong as far as configuration of the stack is concerned other than priorities and ID's were all assigned automatically/default..
    If EX5 is the issue I'm not keen on downgrading to EX3 because the uplinks are SFP-10G-LRM which had more issues with EX3 than with EX5.
    Thanks in advance for your time.
    Jon

    Have you tried cold booting the switch.  I know it is a horrible work around, but I ran circles around this problem on a switch I had upgraded (well- downgraded) from 15.2(3)E that was hitting this bug. Warm boots seemed to do nothing to clear the %ILET-1-AUTHENTICATION_FAIL: This switch may note have been manufactured by Cisco (so on so forth).  Once I pulled the power cable from the switch and waited several seconds prior to reapplying power, the switch came up cleanly.  Currently, Cisco has safe harbored 15.0(2a)EX5.  Did you happen to catch which bootloader combos with 15.0(2a)EX5 seemed to have the most consistent problems with this bug?  The campus I work at is currently in the process of rolling out about 120 of these switches and originally decided to stick with 15.0(2)EX5 until we hit an OIR with SFPs that TAC almost immediately acknowledged as a new development for that specific image. We as a group decided to try out 15.2(3)E and quickly found out that the bug still existed.  By that point, TAC was aware of the problem and over the weekend (2 days time after opening the ticket on a Friday if I remember right), 15.0(2a)EX5 was released.
    Here is a small sampling of the switches that we have rolled out and what their bootloader + running IOS is.  Note: There are a few "stable" cases running 15.2(3)E, but they will be rolled back during maintenance windows in the next few weeks.  Everything that has been deployed since 15.0(2a)EX5 has been available has been running without issue on that IOS.   I don't know how useful this data is, but I can continue to build a list, though it looks like every switch that I have that is running 15.0(2)EX5 from the factory that is getting upgraded to 15.0(2a)EX5 has the 15.2(2r)E1 bootloader, with a few cases with the 15.0(2r)EX3 bootloader.
    Does anyone have information on when an IOS upgrade will trigger a bootloader upgrade?  One thing I can't put a finger on right now is that during the last few rack/stack/configs of new stacks I have noticed that some of the switches running 15.0(2)EX5 from the factory that are being upgraded to 15.0(2a)EX5 are receiving a bootloader upgrade while the vast majority are not.

  • [Struts] Reload the same page but scroll automatically to where it was

    Hi,
    I have a form and it is quite long with a vertical scroll bar. Now when the user scrolls down and changes a value, I need to reload the same form with other values and display it to the user. When the form reloads, it should not show the top of the page as if it were accessed for the first time. It should automatically scroll down to the position where the user left. I think this can happen, but I am not able to work this out.. Please help. In order to reload the form, I am using
    new ActionForward( mapping.getInput() )
    Thanks

    I must have my computer reimaged.  I have Photoshop CS5 and Lightroom 5.7.  How do I inform Adobe that I will be reloading these programs to the same computer?

    And to directly answer your question, you don’t inform Adobe, you merely deactivate PS, reimage, then reinstall and reactivate PS with the serial number(s), and relicense LR with the serial number(s).
    If this computer isn’t yours and you don’t have the serial numbers, yourself, then that could be a problem, although there may be software that can find the serial numbers.  On a PC platform, download and run the Belarc Security Advisor and see if it finds the serial numbers you need.  It’ll only find the current product serial numbers, not the prior versions that an upgrade might be based on, so then you’ll be stuck.

    In iTunes, try changing "album artist" tag to the same name for eack track,
    also make sure that "track number" values are correct and different for each.

    why does the back arrow just reload the same page most of the time
    == This happened ==
    Not sure how often
    == most of the time since I installed it

    Hi Keith.
    This is probably a normal behavior that's induced by the way pages are done. Can you provide a link to a page where this happens?
    For example, wikipedia articles often have links that lead to sections of the article and not to actually different pages, as you may know. If you click the Back button, Firefox will lead you to the section of the page you were looking at when you clicked that link. Is this perhaps what you're talking about?
    AJAX pages (i.e. pages that take advantage of heavy duty javascript code and server side technologies) often have troubles like these. It's very hard to prevent this from happening from the browsers' point of view, but Mozilla is trying to find a way for Firefox 4 (at least like time I checked they were). So using the back and forth buttons in gmail will probably be troublesome.

  • Reloading the same jar at runtime

    Hi Friends,
    I have loaded the jar at runtime using the urlclassloader, but now I want to reload the same jar of different version again.
    Is it possible, if yes ..Could you please explain.
    Thanks in advance,
    Kk

    If your application permits, you can do this:
    1. Create an URLClassLoader with an URL referencing the original version of the JAR;
    2. Create an instance of a class, most probably a Runnable, keeping a reference to it;
    3. Use the object created in 2.
    And when you want to reload the JAR, you set the reference to null, perform any cleanup needed, and repeat those three steps again.
    Something like
    public class MyApplication {
      public static void main(String[] args) throws Exception /* error handling removed for clarity */ {
        URLClassLoader loader = new URLClassLoader(new URL[] {new URL("name.jar"});
        Runnable run = (Runnable) loader.loadClass("com.mypackage.MyApplicationStage2").getConstructor().newInstance();
        run.run();
        System.out.print("Press Enter to reload name.jar, or Ctrl+C to exit: ");
        new BufferedReader(new InputStreamReader(System.in)).readLine();
        run = null;
        loader = new URLClassLoader(new URL[] {new URL("name.jar"});
        Runnable run = (Runnable) loader.loadClass("com.mypackage.MyApplicationStage2").getConstructor().newInstance();
        run.run();
    }And then the class in name.jar could look like this (old, then new):
    package com.mypackage;
    public class MyApplicationStage2 implements Runnable {
      public void run() { System.out.println("Old code"); }
    package com.mypackage;
    public class MyApplicationStage2 implements Runnable {
      public void run() { System.out.println("New code"); }
    }Edited by Looce on Nov 8, 2008 6:00 PM (three steps, not two)

    Hi vijay294,
    Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
    I understand that you received a restore error while attempting to update to iOS 8 and now you see the Connect to iTunes graphic on your display. In this situation, I would recommend using recovery mode to restore your iPhone. Please use the instructions located in the attached article to complete this process.

  • Accessing the same stateful session bean from multiple clients in a clustered environment

    I am trying to access the same stateful session bean from multiple
              clients. I also want this bean to have failover support so we want to
              deploy it in a cluster. The following description is how we have tried
              to solve this problem, but it does not seem to be working. Any
              insight would be greatly appreciated!
              I have set up a cluster of three servers. I deployed a stateful
              session bean with in memory replication across the cluster. A client
              obtains a reference to an instance of one of these beans to handle a
              request. Subsequent requests will have to use the same bean and could
              come from various clients. So after using the bean the first client
              stores the handle to the bean (actually the replica aware stub) to be
              used by other clients to be able to obtain the bean. When another
              client retrieves the handle gets the replica aware stub and makes a
              call to the bean the request seems to unpredictably go to any of the
              three servers rather than the primary server hosting that bean. If the
              call goes to the primary server everything seems to work fine the
              session data is available and it gets backed up on the secondary
              server. If it happens to go to the secondary server a bean that has
              the correct session data services the request but gives the error
              <Failed to update the secondary copy of a stateful session bean from
              home:ejb20-statefulSession-TraderHome>. Then any subsequent requests
              to the primary server will not reflect changes made on the secondary
              and vice versa. If the request happens to go to the third server that
              is not hosting an instance of that bean then the client receives an
              error that the bean was not available. From my understanding I thought
              the replica aware stub would know which server is the primary host for
              that bean and send the request there.
              Thanks in advance,
              Justin

              If 'allow-concurrent-call' does exactly what you need, then you don't have a problem,
              do you?
              Except of course if you switch ejb containers. Oh well.

  • I have an Itunes account on my wife's computer; but now she wants her own Itunes account on this same computer.  How do I do that?

    How can I set up a second Itunes account on the same computer.  I have my Itunes account on my wifes computer and she wants her own Itunes account on this same computer.    Since it's her computer and her Windows log on account, I don't want her to have to log in as someone else.   I have my Itunes account on my own computer...it looks like I might have to take Itunes off her machine (delete the whole program) and then reload with an entirely new account?

    Of course you will want to back up through iTunes.   Because you're using the same computer and you don't your wife to use a different login, the only other option is that you will need to create a separate user account (in Windows) on that computer, open iTunes, and restore from the back up.   The two libraries will be separate through the user profile of Windows.    If you had a Mac it would be the same, because you just simply can't have two iTunes libraries coexist under the same user account at the same time.

  • Home sharing to Apple TV with multiple users on same computer

    I have two different users on the same computer.  To facilitate sharing their music and movies to eachother, they are each using Home Sharing with the same Apple ID.  As long as both users remain logged in, this works with no problem.   Except for Apple TV.  The Apple TV can see each library, so they both show up in the list under Computers, but only one is accessible.  It's either the first one that broadcast itself, or the first one that Apple TV connected to, I'm not sure which.  But, once that's established, the second library will remain in the Computers list, but any attempt to connect to the library will fail.  It appears there is a limitation that Apple TV can only connect to a single library per physical computer, even though it can tell there are multiple libraries there.
    Does anyone have any idea how to work around this without consolidating the libraries?  Being able to connect to multiple libraries is the goal, not consoludating them.

    I don't have that set up anymore, but used to. I had no problems sharing from either library. Of course it may have changed since I used it, but wouldn't see why.

  • I have multiple devices backed up to the same computer each with different data. how do i keep them from syncing all data when i back up or transfer stuff from the computer to a device?

    i have multiple devices backed up to the same computer each with different data. how do i keep them from syncing all data when i back up or transfer stuff from the computer to a device? one is an iphone 6 and the others are ipad mini first gens, each ipad has 64gb and the iphone has 128, need to keep the data seperate as they are not all mine

    Itunes content and pics are NOT part of the backup that itunes performs.
    Backing up, updating, and restoring iPad, iPod touch, and iPhone software
    You should transfer any purchases from iphone regularly:  File>Transfer Purchases  , if they fail to be transferred when you sync.
    You buy one and only one download.  It is your responsibility to move/copy/backup your purchases.
    You can try contacting itunes support and asking for an exception, but they are under no obligation to allow.

  • Are captions and tags in backup when reloading after a computer crash?

    I have Adobe photoshop 11. I have backed up my photos in an external hard drive and also on carbonite. If my computer crashes and I need to reload my photos back onto my computer will the captions and tags still be there? I was wondering because when I just look at my photos on the hard drive it does not look the captions are there. Is there a special way to save them so they are there?

    If you use the backup command in the organizer file menu, all your media files will be saved, as well as the catalog which contains all the information about your media files : their location (path), exif camera data, your tags, captions etc. The restore command in the organizer will let you recover everything where you want to (same computer or not).
    If you are using any other external backup solution, only your media files will be saved, not the catalog and its data, unless you also backup the catalog; it's a folder containing the database and associated files. You find its location in the Help, System Info menu.
    You could also use the file menu of the organizer to 'save metadata to files', which would write the tags and captions in the header of the files themselves. If you reimport those files in the organizer, tags and captions will be recovered.

  • CS2 and CS4 on same computer?

    Hello! I hope this has not already been asked and answered but I did honestly try to find an answer and failed. Anyway:
    Mac with CS2 currently installed.
    QUESTION: If I buy the CS4 upgrade, can I install it and have both CS2 AND CS4 running on the same computer? Not necessarily simultaneously...just be able to launch one or the other.
    If yes, where might instructions for such an installation be?
    Thanks a bunch.
    PS. I tried downloading a trial version of CS4 from Adobe website and could not get their "special" downloader to work. Tried Safari and Firefox. Is there some special trick?

    It is too easy.
    I can't make myself get rid of ID2 and IDCS, though I no longer use them (or IDCS2) for production.
