PSE 8 error # 150:30

I have used pse 8 for a long time to edit my travel photos for using on dvd presentations.  Suddenly a few weeks ago I got the error message that liscensing had run out and error # 150:30.  I've tried the trial of pse 10 and I can't figure it out to use it so wanted to go back to 8.  I couldn't find my origianal copy of 8 to reinstall so I ordered a new copy and installed it.  I get the same error message and can't enter the program.  What is my problem and how can I solve it?

  • PSE 8  Error 150:30 Licensing stopped working

    Hi
Just another case of pse 8 not working on a mac running OS X 10.6.1 with Polish as a main language.
I've just purchased pse 8 from Apple store. I had a previous version of pse installed on my imac, so I uninstalled it using the unistaller from the pse 6 disc, installed pse 8 and.... bang ! - I got this lovely message on my screen (error 150:30, licensing stopped working etc.) Then after searching many forums I found I was not the only one having the same problem.
I've tried every single suggested solution (repairing disc permissions, deleting FLEXnet lib etc) - obviously nothing works (except changing the language to English of course).
Does a working solution exist for this problem?
I am not a happy bunny and I'll probably return pse 8 asap and go back to the 'old' 6 ver.

    Hey folks:
As Ankush mentions, we are keenly aware of this problem.
There are actually two issues here:
First one is that when PSE8 is launched on systems that are not of the supported languages, this Licensing Has Stopped Working error occurs.
the only way to work around this one is to switch your system to a supported language.
Please note, the supported languages are clearly defined athttp://www.adobe.com/products/photoshopelmac/systemreqs/ and on the product packaging.
Second one is that occasionally, this bug occurs when launching in a supported language. For most folks the workaround is to simply try and launch PSE8 again. There seems to be a few folks who are running in a supported language, and relaunching doesn't work. See Ankush's note at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/502331?tstart=30 for a workaround if you're faced with this situation.
Rest assured that we are working on getting to the root cause, and understanding what it will take to get a fix out. We don't yet have enough info to convey when an update could happen. That does not mean we're not working on it.
Sorry for the hassle, and thanks for your patience here.
    Cheers
    Bob

  • PSE 8 registration - Error 150:30

I am trying to activate my copy of PSE 8 but before I can even enter my 6x4 code I get an "Error 150:30" message which asks me to restart my Mac, but which reappears after a reboot.
I am running OS 10.9.4. Is PSE 8 incompatible with Mavericks?
If so, what are my options?
If not, how do I get around this error message?
    Thanks,
    Mark

Sounds like a compatibility issue indeed. You can try and fix the permissions on the Library folders, so the activation data can be stored but beyond that you may not be able to avoid upgrading to v12. Either way, check these for some ideas:

thanks for your help. You may right that Adobe Photoshop is not a tidy programm. But it is the only of my applications that make problems after using the MA. Anf for what the MA ist made for?
But i still have a question. Is this cc-cleaner as well working for Photoshop Elements 8.0? I tried the link but at the second step "Uninstall Creative Cloud or Creative Suite applications" I do not find at the Application folder the Utitily folder.
    Thanks

How did you migrate? Unless you cloned over a complete system you just made a bunch more trouble for yourself. You can never, never migrate PSE with the migration assistant. PSE is not a tidy package app in accordance with the apple developer guidelines. It strews stuff all over your hard drive and puts things in places the MA isn't programmed to look. Now you will have a lot of manual cleaning up to do. You must always reinstall PSE from scratch.
    First download and run this:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation -problems.html
Then you can manually remove the bits that got copied over. You can't use spotlight to help with this; it's programmed to ignore these kinds of files. In addition to what's in the applications folder, you will need to go to the library at the top level of your hard drive>Application Support>Adobe and remove anything in there, as well as your username>library>preferences. Then you can reinstall from your original media.

  • How to fix "Licensing for this product has stopped working - Error 150:30"?

I cannot pen PSE or Bridge. It get the message "Licensing for this product has stopped working - Error 150:30".
I assume it is because I recently upgraded my Mac to Yosemite.
What do I need to do to be able to open PSE again?
    Thank you.

Thank you. I appreciate your tips. I tried solution 5 and it doesn't work.
The rest is essentially gibberish to a basic user like myself. I have
neither the expertise nor the confidence to go into these folders and start

  • Error 150:30 on PSE8 but not CS6

I'm getting error 150:30 on PSE8 on a Mac running OS 10.7 following a time machine recovery.  I also have CS6 installed and this is working fine.  I have the Adobe solutions to this but have two questions :  Firstly, there is no /Library/Preferences/FlexNet Publisher file.  Can I therefore just go straight to Soltion 2 (There is a /Library/Applications Support/Flexnet Publisher file with two sub files)  Secondly, will anything I do here mess up CS6 ?!

You cannot recover PSE from time machine or use migration assistant. PSE is not a tidy package app according to the apple guidelines, but rather has an installer that strews things like buckshot all over your hard drive. It's impossible to get all the bits migrated manually. You will need to download and run cleanscript (you might want to temporarily uninstall CS6 while all this is going on), which will then let you manually remove all the broken bits of PSE. Check not only applications, but also hard drive>library>application support>adobe. Then reinstall from your original media.

(In other words, 150:30 isn't your only problem--you just haven't gotten far enough to see all others yet.)

I know it says Creative Suite, but PSE is based on the same code so a lot of the same fixes work for both.

  • PS Elements was working/Installed Apple OS 10.8 now/Error: 150:30

My PS Elements 8 was working fine. Upgraded to Apple OS 10.8 Mountain Lion now get  Error: 150: 30 on my  iMac. PSE 8 continues to work fine on our Mac Book which I also installed OS 10.8
What's up, how can I get PS Elements back on track on my iMac?
    [email protected]

I understood that about the semi hidden Library folder. I was in the right folder, I re-did it following your instructions to be sure. and for whatever reason there is no Flex Net Publisher in the preference folder but I did find that there was a FlexNet Publisher folder in the ApplicationSupport. I followed the instructions for the license recovery carefully going to the utilities and opening the terminal utility and did as instructed. I am using OS 10.8 Mountain Lion not Lion OS 10.7. The LicenseRecoverLauncher icon had a circle with a slash through it which indicates it doesn't work with this OS but I did it anyway, dragged over into the terminal thing after typing whatever it was, sudo python, I think,  and it did not work. I did it a couple of times because it didn't even want to take my password at first. Each time I had to hit return and retype the password. It never asked for the adminstrator name. It ended up with this:
Last login: Sat Oct  6 11:30:37 on console

And I did the repair permissions restarted the computer a couple of time. I think this problem must have been related to the upgrade to Mountain Lion. It worked before.
I'm ready to and install and reinstall which can't be any tricker than some of these other instrcutions.

I have recently restored everything on my iMac after getting a new hard drive. When i try to use Elements, i get the following error code   ERROR  150:30. Any ideas?

Did you use migration assistant to copy over programs, documents, and settings? You can't do that with PSE. Elements is not a tidy package in accordance with the apple developer guidelines. The installer strews stuff all of your hard drive in place the migration assistant isn't programmed to look and you can never hope to find all h the bits. You must always install PSE from scratch on a new machine. By attempting to copy it you have made a lot of trouble for yourself.
You will need to download and run this:
Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
and then you can go around and manually remove what you can reach. Look in applications, your hard drive>library>application support>adobe, your username>library>preferences. In the user library also delete any saved application states for PSE.
Then you can reinstall from scratch.

  • I get a message that says "Registration has stopped working" contact Adobe support with error 150.30.

I just migrated my apps & data to a newer MP. When I try to open PSE I get the message "Registration has stopped working." and Error 150.30. I do not get an opportunity to enter my registration key. What do I do?

You can never, never, never migrate an installed copy of PSE. Is "a newer MP" a mac pro? You will first need to download and run this, then you can go around and manually remove all the bits of PSE that you can find. Check not only applications but hard drive>library>application support and and your username>library preferences. Spotlight will not help with this; it's programmed to skip these kinds of files.
