PSE 9 polygonal lasso jumps and auto-closes the loop

ok so i'll be trying to select something with the polygonal lasso and after about a second, the program will jump, something will appear at the bottom of the screen for a matter of milliseconds, and my tool will have looped shut. this is making it impossible to select something. i dont have this problem with any other version of photoshop, so what's going on? :/

Are you using a mouse or some other pointer.
Conflicts can sometimes arise with certain combinations of graphics tablet and video card.
A few people have reported erratic behavior with the lasso selection tools whilst others have no problem. Here are a few things you could try:
If using Windows 7 or Vista with an Aero theme try disabling Aero and switching back to Windows Classic. See the how-to-geek link at the bottom.
Problems can occur if the feather is set to high in relation to the selection area. Try changing the options bar to 0 px or a very low number and see if that makes any difference.
After opening your image in the editor press ctrl+J to duplicate your layer. Then select the new layer before starting your selection. It’s generally better to work on an unlocked layer.

You need to use the Express in router mode.. I think you are trying to use it in bridge mode.. but you need to give us a lot more details.. screenshots might help more than anything.

Try restarting your machine and Launch ADE again

How can i close the loop in the design of measure sensors.

good night My problem is probably very stupid but i dont know how can i modify my code to close the loop, because i only use visa read, in this case I simply close the loop by sending a a pic if data are coming or not are coming, i do not know how to connect that communication, hopefully someone can help

Then program it in there. If you don't have to always write a command, then put the VISA write in a case structure.

Polygonal Lasso Tool and White menus bug in Mavericks - help!

After installing Mavericks I´m having so much trouble with the lasso tool and white menus in photoshop that it is really breaking my production speed and causing a lot of problems for me.
Especially the Polygonal Lasso Tool, how its auto completing when painting with a tablet.
Sadly I´ve upgraded to Mavericks, and I wish I never did that. Because these problems never occured in Mountain Lion. I´ve tried going back 3-4 steps on the tablet drivers - but no luck. I tried reinstalling photoshop and I´ve tried pretty much anything I can think of but nothing helps. I deperately need to fix this and I have a long line of architectural illustrations coming up and it takes me a lot more time working with masks if I cant do it with a tablet...
I hope Adobe reads this! But if there´s anyone with a similar problem that has found a workaround or something I can do to fix this, please help!

Yes, 3 MAJOR problems which bugs the hell out of me.
-The white menus (which I assume Adobe is going to fix, since its a very common problem and it has gotten a lot of complaints)
-The polygonal Lasso tool (which Adobe has not responded to at all ) and I assume its something everyone with a wacom struggle with in Mavericks, but not everyone is that dependent on this tool, which we haven´t seen more complaints.
-The keyboard doesn´t always respond to a keystroke, and you have to do a left click for it to start reacting again. (which I also assume is something everyone with Mavericks is experiencing, but you need to use the keyboard a lot to notice it.
But why Adobe hasn´t given a single reply to the threads (except those about the white menus) about these problems baffles me I guess if they don´t know of a quick fix, it´s better to ignore it entirely. I´m considering every day if I should take the time to revert back to Mountain Lion - though that isn´t exactly a tempting solution. It´s weird how Mavericks can create that many bugs to Photoshop and why there´s not any info on any bug fix updates in the near future. I´m paying a lot of money for this software. I should get better customer care for this. ...sorry for ranting, but it´s making me more frustrated every day.

SQL Server Error 9001 and auto close on Property

Hello,
While talking to one of my application developers, he encountered Fatal Error 9001 while connecting to the database from .NET Application. In the past , he had similar issues and he mentioned that taking the database offline and bringing it back online
fixed the problem. So we did the same this and the problem got fixed.
I asked the question why are we having this problem in first place?.I used the SQL Credentials our .NET App uses and I was able to connect to the SQL Server using those credentials and execute the stored procedure.
Doing some online searching, sometimes, turning on Auto close property causes this problem. This particular database had that property turned on and I turned it off. I am not sure how it got turned on in the first place. By default it should be off.
My question is Whats causing this behavior ?. How can I avoid getting 9001 Errors?.
I am tying to figure out the root cause and better undestand whats going on with the server?.
I understand the pros/cons of the auto close property but it shouldn't cause 9001 error.
Your help would be much appreciated.

If you refer to
Microsoft definition of error 9001 it means Log for database is not available. Hope you are using English language

Now why would SQL server say log for database is not available, it would say such thing when it wont be able to communicate with log file or wont be able to communicate with disk on which log file resides. I would say this might be disk issue. Not only SAN,
disk controllers, HBA and other connections which are involved between database and storage should be checked. Please immediately consult your vendor. At first it might seem all is fine but remember I said through check. I faced this issue in cluster and it
boiled down to Storage issue SQL server was just victim.
Reg AUTOCLOSE AFAIK by default it is true for express edition not fot other editions

Pen behavior and auto close

Maybe i'm missing something, but a behavior that really confuses me in Illustrator is that when I'm using the pen tool and click close to an path point below (even if it's not selected) , the new line JOINS the point.
I think it'd be much better if the line would SNAPS to the previously existed point (if not selected) and joins it only if selected-a behavior similar to Freehand or Intaglio.
It becomes annoying when I'm drawing with open lines-see example,

Observing the autojoin icon and/or adjusting snap distance does nothing to address the feature request, which is for the long overdue ability to TURN THE BEHAVIOR OFF.
To prevent autojoining while drawing with the Pen, the "shortcut" is to mousedown somewhere that you
don't want the point to be, press the spacebar, and then drag to where you
do want the point to be. (Obviously, the term "shortcut" is used loosely here.)
This behavior being the default is upside-down. The absense of any provision to turn it off is worse.

Second popup applet auto-close the first popup applet

I have a configuration which works in the following way
1) There's a button on Applet 1, which will pop-up Applet 2 using the ShowPopup method.
2) In Applet 2, there's a field which has MVG applet.
I observed the following behaviour:
1) Click buttons on Applet 1 which pops-up Applet 2.
2) In Applet 2, click the MVG pick which pops-up the MVG applet.
3) Close the MVG applet by clicking the X button on the browser window.
4) When the MVG applet closes, it also auto-close Applet 2. Focus return to Applet 1.
The expected behaviour is MVG applet close, and focus should return to Applet 2, not auto-close Applet 2.
Any thoughts?

Okay, I figured out how to launch an applet from another applet [A]. It was a matter of using a URLClassLoader to load applet [B]. The problem now is that there are some security issues. Even if I sign the applet [B], a security warning is not presented when applet[B] is initilialized. As a result, reading from a file on the local machine can not be done (Security exceptions).
Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Just purchased and installed photoshop and everytime i try to open it it says "windows has encountered a problem and must close the program" anyone else have this problem?

I have just purchased the photography package on my windows 8 computer and everytime I open photoshop an error message pops up saying that windows has encountered a problem and needs to close the program. I am really frustrated that this is happening after I purchased this plan and would like to be able to use the product I have purchased

Keep in mind that it's your responsibility to provide a problem-free working environment on your computer for Photoshop, and system software (such as display drivers) can have problems.
Look in your Windows Event Logs (specifically, your Application Log) for the info requested above on the specific crashes.

I always have many tabs open in FF, and rely on it restoring them each time I close/open it again. Sometimes I'll have a second window open and will close the main window first, losing a record of tabs I had open. Is there a way around this?

Seems like when FF restores a session, it restores the session of the last window open. If you use tabs as a way of keeping a list of things to do or look at, you have to be careful if you have a second window open to close the second window before your main one, or you will lose your list. I'm absent minded though and do this all the time. The only way to prevent this is bookmark all my tabs once a day, but I tend to forget to do even that. Any workaround for this?

How can I continuously auto-save and auto-name the JPEG files with a controlled time interval

I am newly involved in some Labview projects that out of my knowledge. I am trying to save multiple JPEG images from a live imaging task to a folder in the computer hard disk every certain minutes. I'd like to name these files with the date and time (eg. Img_06012011_1635. jpg).Then, after hours long image capturing, I can have all the image files in a neat order.
My goal is to have the jpg files auto saved and auto-named with the data and time at that moment. I also need to control this waiting time between each savings.
Could you please show me some hints about this? See the vi attached, I know I need to do something on the "write path" part on the up right corner. Thanks!

Thanks, Steve. When I built up a path with the date and time info and send them to the WriteJPEG File.vi like you mentioned, it stopped saving any files into the folder. Do you think this is the problem from my while loop?Could you show me if there is any other secret functions that restrains the file saving?
I am planning to save the image files every 30 secs,for example, and then I can have a bunch of jpg files with their unique names after hours long image acquisition.
I appreciate you kindly help!

When i make changers to my firefox settings and i close the browser, the changes are not saved, why?

when i make changes in the options menu like - allow pop ups or never remember history, it works great but when i close the browser, the changes i made are not saved, this never happened on the previous version
