Publish no static html page with Web services

Hello All,
I would like to publish no static html page using Web services. I can't attach this html page as static because I need to change it dynamically from another vi. So, client can read this page by browser with refresh 2 sec.
Thanks,
Yustas

Hi,
I think It is not possible to create a dynamic HTML page, at  the most you could edit your page HTML and publish it again with the same URL
I hope to be helpful.

  • Is it possible to serve a few plain old simple static HTML pages with ITS?

    Hi,
    I am looking for a way to serve a few plain old simple static HTML pages (together with some javascript and image files) with ITS?
    The HTML page should be served unaltered.
    Is this possible somehow?
    Thanks,
      Wolfgang

    Hello Wolfgang.
    Yes, that is possible.  What ITS are you using, Integrated or Standalone?
    With Standalone you could just put the static HTML anywhere in the web server directory.
    With Integrated ITS you will need to upload it to the Integrated ITS and then publish your static HTML.  There is an example of this in the SYSTEM service.  Just go to SE80 > SYSTEM Internet Service > Topic SL > Mime Objects > PAGE > aboutbox.html.

  • Best place to begin design of old HTML pages with Web Dynpro

    I am new to web dynpro (and the Netweaver environment).  I just took the EP150 course so I have an idea of how to create pages with both Visual Composer (although I doubt I'll use that much) and in java projects in NWDS.
    My first application is to be an online purchase requisition application to replace one written in Lotus Domino (this will NOT be integrated with R/3- we will have a seperate DB for these documents outside of R/3).  I have taken the HTML main page from that application and coded it as a JSP but I am getting the impression that the overall design/coding may be simpler if I do the project as a web dynpro.  I want to find some sort of a primer that describes the various controls that go on the web dynpro view in order to figure out how I can take my HTML design and bring it into a web dynpro project.  Can anyone point me to a resource that does this?  I've checked the help and SDN and not found anything that is too helpful yet.
    Can anyone tell me if it would be worthwhile for me to attend the JA310 Web Dynpro course?  I have done a couple of the tutorials posted on SDN for web dynpro but haven't done much else with it as of yet.
    Thanks.
    Dana

    I don't know such a migration guide, but here are some general remarks:
    The Web Dynpro programming model does not use tag-libs, markup, scripting etc. as you might have used in JSP or BSP applications.
    Instead, you create your view layout using the NWDS view designer (or the runtime API) and place UI elements like tables, input fields etc. inside containers.
    Containers have layouts (e.g. MatrixLayout, RowLayout, FlowLayout) and UI elements placed inside a container have layout data for setting individual layout constraints. This is similar to programming in non-Web frameworks like Java Foundation Classes (Swing).
    The UI elements get their data from the view controller context by data binding. There is a hierarchy of controllers (view, custom, component) and the corresponding controllers may be mapped, giving an automatic data flow through the controller hierarchy.
    The complete details of markup (e.g. HTML), client-side scripting, CSS etc. is provided by the client-specific framework part and the application is completely shielded from these technical details.
    This has the additional benefit that a Web Dynpro application can be run on completely different clients without change.
    Example: If tomorrow it will be hip to run your business application inside some other UI technology, e.g. Adobe Flex, SAP will provide a new Web Dynpro client and all Web Dynpro applications will run without change inside this  environment. (Replace Adobe Flex by any other relevant framework).
    Compare this to a programming model, that directly uses HTML, Javascript etc. Good luck rewriting several thousand user interfaces!
    So in your concrete use case, look at your UIs from such a perspective and identify the Web Dynpro concepts. This should help in the migration process.

  • Creating User Defined Static HTML Page

    Hi Everybody
    For my new application, I have to write a program where user can create static html page with text content and image like MSN Groups
    Add a new page.
    I need some guidelines on how to do this.
    Any help will be much appreciated
    Thanks in advance

    Creation of static pages / or pages with static content- the site administrator must be able to create
    static html pages with content. And the links to these pages must be available to all the visitors of
    the site as sub links to useful information( the add page and manage page tools
    in MSN groups is aimed )

  • TREX Search : static HTML pages in KM with links to other intranet websites

    Hi there,
    we have some static HTML pages stored in KM. Besides text, these pages contain links ot other intranet websites, pdf or word documents.
    I have defined an index, according to <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/73/66c090acf611d5993700508b6b8b11/frameset.htm">creating an index</a>
    Following parameters have been added :
    IndexInternalLinks = true
    indexContentOfExternalLink = true
    showWithoutDatasource = true
    Already had a look at <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/46/5d5040b48a6913e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">Crawlers and Crawler Parameters</a>, tried by creating a new crawler profile and setting
    Maximum Depth = 3 (we want to search three levels deep)
    There is also <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/46/5d5040b48a6913e10000000a1550b0/frameset.htm">Resource Filters</a>
    The html pages itself are included in the index, but the content of the external links is not included.
    Would this be possible? We don't want to define an <a href="http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw2004s/helpdata/en/73/66c090acf611d5993700508b6b8b11/frameset.htm">HTTP System</a> in the system landscape, as we don't need to index the whole external website and some parts of it are obsolete - we only want following the links and included the external content in the index.
    Portal version is NW2004S SP10.
    Thanks & best regards,
    Kevin

    Hello Kevin,
    If you don't want to create a HTTP system then you can create a simple web repository.
    For details you can follow help guide:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/a4/76bd3b57743b09e10000000a11402f/frameset.htm
    Also you can create a Web Repository:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/12/47833ceb3da02ce10000000a114027/frameset.htm
    Do refer to "Dynamic and Static Web Repositories" section in the document. This will answer your query.

  • To add meta tags, you open your published .html pages with TextEdit or any other text editor and modify as required. You have to do redo it each time you republish. Ihow do I do this? I need step by step instructions

    To add meta tags, you open your published .html pages with TextEdit or any other text editor and modify as required. You have to do redo it each time you republish. I need step by step instructions on how to accomplish this  please .

    Rage Sitemap Automator and iWeb SEO Tool are two different applications.
    Use SEO Tool to add the title tag and meta description. These need to be added to the html file for every page of your website. SEO Tool stores all these so that when you republish you only need to add tags to any new pages and click the re-apply button to refresh the existing ones.
    Once you have added. refreshe the tags with iWeb SEO Tool and uploaded the files with your FTP application, then open the site in Sitemap Automator and create and upload a new sitemap.
    Once you have set up accounts with Google, Yahoo and Bing, verified your site with each and submitted a sitemap, on subsequent publishing Sitemap Automator will resubmit the sitemap with one button click. It will also notify Ask.com whch doesn't require an account since you can add your domain name to this URL to ping them...

  • How to develope a par file with a static html pages in NWDS

    Hi to all,
    what is the procedure to put static html pages as iviews by using programming.
    In my project hierarchy where should i keep the html file, and what component should be generated? to generate a par file.
    using that par i'll generate a iview and i will link to my page.
    but i need a procedure to generate a portal component of this type.
    if any body is having the procedure of this, or any online help documentation link u have please forward to me.
    Thanks & Regards,

    Hi,
    Check whether KM is installed in your server. If yes then you can view it under Content Administration>> KM content(like the Portal Content).
    In that you can see the Root folder>>documents>>Public Documents. If you wish you can create your own folder or can  just upload the file inside that folder.
    1. to create a folder go to Folder >> new folder...
    2. to upload the file click Folder>>New>>upload.. then you can browse to the local system and from there you can upload file.
    The path that you have to give in the Iview shloud be like
    \documents\Public Documents\<your foldername>\filename.
    Hope this Helps

  • Static HTML pages as iViews

    Hi All,
    I have static html pages that are not published to the Web. I was wondering, can I create iViews for them to be displayed in the portal without having to publish them and creating URL iViews out of them?
    Thanks
    TM.

    Hi Tony
    Make a component with the following code and portalapp.xml. For each static piece of text, make an iView from the component and set the HTML property to the HTML you want to display, and it should work... In the HTML you may need to change any
    <
    character to
    &lt;
    Yes, it's a hack...
    The portal component code
    package com.michael;
    import com.sapportals.portal.prt.component.*;
    public class StaticHTML extends AbstractPortalComponent
        public void doContent(IPortalComponentRequest request, IPortalComponentResponse response)
              IPortalComponentProfile profile = request.getComponentContext().getProfile();
              String theHTML = profile.getProperty("HTML");
              response.write(theHTML);
    The relevent portalapp.xml:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8"?>
    <application>
      <application-config>
        <property name="PrivateSharingReference" value="com.sap.portal.htmlb"/>
        <property name="SharingReference" value="com.sap.portal.navigation.service"/>
      </application-config>
      <components>
        <component name="StaticHTML">
          <component-config>
            <property name="ClassName" value="com.michael.StaticHTML"/>
          </component-config>
          <component-profile>
            <property name="HTML" value="<b>bold</b><i>italic</i>"/>
          </component-profile>
        </component>
      </components>
      <services/>
    </application>

  • How do I publish an existing HTML page?

    Hello,
    This might sound a bit basic...possibly because I am not that smart...
    I have an NT file system - with in it there is an HTML page with icons and other html pages that are linked (relative links). There are other .html pages and images needed in this area.
    I have set up a community and want to point to the existing HTML page on that file system - so when a client goes to that community, that HTML page opens up automatically in a portlet.
    The path if Q:\Public\Health\Mainpage.html
    I want mainpage.html to open up with the Health Community is selected.
    So I made the community, and community page. The was going to place a publisher portlet on it - but do not want the clients to se e a blank page with a portlet linking to Q:\Public\Health\Mainpage.html, but instead see Mainpage.html.
    What is the best way of doing this - set up a web service? If so - which one?
    Suggestions for a pre-exisiting website residing on a file system?
    Thanks,

    I would serve up the documents with IIS or Apache and create a standard web service remote portlet to the document.
    Another option is to copy and paste the contents of the document into a content item with a long text property. Then use a presentation template which just emits the html from the content item.
    Create a published content portlet for that content item. The good part is that you can edit the document in the portal. The downside is that if someone edits the mainpage.html on the q drive, you will have to copy their changes back into the content item.

  • How can I authenticate and authorize with Web Service on ESB ?

    Hello,
    I want to authenticate and authorize client with Web Service published
    by HTTP/SOAP BC.
    Simply if it is an Web Service as J2EE application, I will use
    Basic Authentication with JAX-RPC and Realm.
    But I think that Web Service published by HTTP/SOAP BC is not belong

  • Designing Embedded HTML Page with iWeb

    I designed a html page with with an embedded html page within it. It all looks fine in iWeb, but when I upload the page to the intenet and I try to view this page it does not come up properly. Although I initially see the page come up as I designed it (for a fraction of a second) it then disapears and I only see the page I embedded on my page.
    I added the following codes in HTML Snippet:
    <object data=http://www.mls.ca/PropertyResults.aspx?&vs=Residential&ret=300&curPage=PropertySearch.a spx&sts=0-0&beds=0-0&baths=0-0&bt=1%2c16%2c17&atsg=%2c&ci=cartierville&pro=4&mp= 500000-0-0&mrt=0-0-4&trt=2&of=1&ps=10&o=D width="600" height="400"> <embed src=http://www.mls.ca/PropertyResults.aspx?&vs=Residential&ret=300&curPage=PropertySearch.a spx&sts=0-0&beds=0-0&baths=0-0&bt=1%2c16%2c17&atsg=%2c&ci=cartierville&pro=4&mp= 500000-0-0&mrt=0-0-4&trt=2&of=1&ps=10&o=D width="600" height="400"> </embed> Embedd a web page within another web page. </object>

    As I said, the above pages come up fine in iWeb but not when I search them with Sagari.
    Can someone please help with this. Thanks, Padano

    This is the proper code :
    <iframe src="http://url.to.file.html" frameborder="0" width="500" height="500" scrolling="no" allowTransparency="true"></iframe>
    You can also use this :
    <div style="width: 650px; height: 650px">
      <script language="JavaScript">
        location.replace('../../../your files.html');
      </script>
    </div>
    Source : iframe alternative in the HTML Snippet
    And on this page you can see how to use <object> for html, png and jpg files :
    Embed content with the <object> HTML element

    You can also use the CF administrator.
    Schedule the task. (Or just create the task to be hit by a

    Has anyone come up with a way to publish PL/SQL stored procedures as web services? Our team already has sufficient knowledge in deploying EJBs and exposing them as services but we're curious to see if we can create services without building and deploying an EJB as the provider mechanism.
    Any ideas/guidance are appreciated!

    In JDeveloper 10 you can do it. check that article
    But in 11g version they hide that option :(

  • Servlets in one machine and static html pages in another machine

    We have one technical problem concerning WebLogic Server 5.1. Our customer
              wants to install two WLS servers in two machines. Let's call these machines
              and WLS instances A, which is a front end machine, and B, which is a back
              end machine. WLS A has all the static html pages and is open to public. WLS
              B has all servlets and business logic (EJB components...) and is open only
              to machine A. We are wondering if it is possible to configure WLS A so that
              when the client's browser requests a static html page and there is a link to
              a servlet in WLS B, the http requests goes from the client's browser first
              to WLS A, which sends the same request to WLS B, which runs the request in a
              servlet and sends the response to WLS A, which sends the response back to
              the client's browser. In that way the client allways thinks that it is
              communucating with WLS A and is unaware of the existance of the WLS B. We
              are wondering if this is possible with WLS configuration and if it is, how
              this can be done.

    Use ProxyServlet:

              btw, why don't you let WLS A serve html and servlets, and let WLS B serve
