Publish Oracle Apex on Sharepoint

Hi,
we're getting requirements to publish Apex applications on MS Sharepoint(which I know little about). I noticed this this discussion which mentioned the authentication issues (that part I can probably figure out). What I'm looking for is a document or any steps to do this publishing in the first place as well as any gotchas. I can access some Sharepoint resource personnel . I'm a newbie with respect to this so please be gentle :-).

Kofi,
I remember working for a company that began using SharePoint. For some reason, a higher up mandated that all applications needed to fit within the SharePoint's content area, no popups were allows.
I get the concept: one browser, better integration, bla bla bla - it was still unrealistic. SharePoint uses quite a bit of real estate on its own, so for all but the simplest of applications (one page forms) this just falls flat on it's face (unless, that is, everyone has 24 inch monitors). I suggest you just add a link that opens the APEX applications in a new window. Then integrate you application with this NTLM doc so the .NET guys will not be able to rub it in your face that people have to log in again when using APEX applications:

  • Ora-06502 pl/sql numeric or value error in Report Query in oracle apex

    Hello all,
    I need your help...
ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small
I am using bi publisher to generate PDF reports in oracle apex.
We were using APEX 4.0 and migrated to 4.2 just a week ago.
    Now we have apex 4.2.
When I try to Create report query,
Shared Components >> Report Queries then create.
and test a report in a create wizard I am getting a error "ORA-06502: PL/SQL: numeric or value error: character string buffer too small".
    I have also applied a patch "16760897".
This issue is because of number of columns in a query is more then 26.
If I run a report with 26 or less number of columns then the is working fine, otherwise getting this error.
My before migration report queries working perfectly even now, but not new queries.
This issue is also in apex.oracle.com.
    You can see

  • Publish to APEX in SQL Developer

    Hello:
I wrote a query in SQL Developer and I want to utilize the Publish to APEX feature.
In SQL Developer, I right-click and select Publish to APEX.
I select the workspace, enter an application, select a theme, and enter a page.
I receive a message stating that it was successful.
I then go to APEX and login in as myself into my workspace which is the same workspace I designated in SQL Developer for this publish.
At the login, I enter my username and password.
I go to Application Builder, select the new application that was published, click Run.
I'm prompted for a login, so I enter my username and password and I receive Invalid Login Credentials.
Does anyone know what is causing this issue? I am the developer. I am an administrator. I'm using the same logins I always do when working with APEX. I'm not sure why I'm receiving this message.
    Can someone help me?
    Thanks.

I don't think Apex is set up to accept this, but as the previous post says once you have the username/password of the underlying Oracle schema you should be able to do this. My particular case was jDeveloper and offline database objects, but the principle is the same. If you have admin access to the database go in as sys and change the password of the underlying Oracle user.

  • Cannot print a PDF using the Oracle APEX print feature

    Hi,
    I work from a Wondows 7 workstation.
I have Adobe FlashPlayer 11 installaed on that workstation.
I can open a regular *.pdf file.
I have the following configuration for my Oracle APEX application:
    Report Printing:
Print Server Protocol: Advanced (requires Oracle BI Publisher)
    Print Server Protocol: HTTP
Print Server Host Address: the IP address of my BI Publisher server
Print Server Port: 9704 (from installation of BI)
    Print Server Script: /xmlpserver/convert
On the page (that is an interactive report) that I want to print, it is configured with:
    Download:
    PDF option is checked.
When I click on Action -> Download -> PDF for this page, I get the error:
report_customers_region.pdf  file can not be opened because the file type is not supported or because it is damaged (because, for example as an e-mail attachment is not sent and correctly decoded)
Does someone has an idea what the problem is and where I should investigate further?
    Thanks and Kind Regards.

Well, is the PDF actualyl allowing to be printed? Check File --> Properties in Reader/ Acrobat.

  • Create PDF from PL/SQL-Interface XML FOP / Oracle BI / Oracle APEX packages

    Hi All,
I think this is perhaps the most often asked question. And people suggest using PL-FPDF or PL PDF. There is a constraint, I can't use PL PDF because of monetary reasons.
I wish I could use some method to output PDF from the PL/SQL. I already have a document (word document stored as CLOB). Now, I need to output this file as PDF. I know doing this outside database is easy and advisable, but this what I have been asked to do.
Is there any method of implementation, using either XML - FOP or Oracle BI publisher or Oracle APEX tools (and not Oracle APEX itself, I know how to do this if the application is built, run using Oracle APEX, but this is plain Oracle HTP).
Database: Oracle 9.2 running in Windows server.
    Thanks in advance.

    Apologies for that.
I am looking into ways to use Apex. Like calling the FOP in Oracle OC4J server and generating PDF from it. As I told already, we have this application built on Oracle HTP, we can't move to Oracle Apex now. I can install Oracle APEX and use the tools it offers. No problem in that.
PL-FPDF is free, but I can see this doesn't help much. What I have is CLOB, not data from table. :(
I am just looking into different ways one can do this.

  • How to use Oracle APEX with Oracle12c - Beginner

Hi. I have been using for months Oracle Application Express thanks to the online workspace on https://apex.oracle.com/i/index.html.
Now, I want to create my production environment. I have installed Oracle Database 12c on a virtual machine (Oracle Virtual Box) based on Windows Server 2008 R2 (64 bit) o.s.
I have created a new database and, during this process, I have selected only "Oracle Application Express" as database's option. Now, I don't know how to use APEX, how to configure the Listener and whatever I need to let the users may use my APEX's applications. Thank you very much for any help. Please consider that I am a beginner and I don't know how to master the administrative-side of APEX.

    Hi MK,
According to your description, my understanding is that you got an error when you published Access database to SharePoint 2013.
Please deactivate SharePoint Server Enterprise Site Collection features at site collection level and deactivate SharePoint Server Enterprise Site features at site level, then activate them again, compare the result.
Per the error message, please type a value in the ‘Name’ filed, then publish the table, compare the result.
In addition, here is a similar article, please check whether it is useful for you:

I have requirement to send weekly reports via email to some users. The users should receive their own records in the report. The user details is stored in a table. What I am planning to do is to create a report query in oracle apex to generate the report and then run a function/procedure via a scheduler to email the report to respective users. Now my query is ............. is it possible to pass a value (user name) to the report query to pull records of only that user? I know we can have bind variables in the report query but I have no idea how to pass a value for bind variables from a function/procedure.

Are you getting an error? The way you have it set up, you can have an error and it will never be displayed. Put and error control on your front panel and see what it gives you. Also, shared variables in a project can be useful. Look at some examples for that.

  • Getting error while importing the application in Oracle Apex

    Hi,
I am facing an issue while importing an application into my new Oracle Apex installation. Installation was successful with out any issue. I exported an application from my old Apex (version 3.0.0.00.20) and importing the same into new apex (version 3.0.1.00.08). I am getting the following error.

When I click on import in Application Builder page and then browse the required file it gives the progress saying "Importing File" and after some time it displays the above error.
I tried bouncing the application also and there is not error in alert log.
Could any one please suggest, if there is some problem here. Or my approach is not correct.
    Thanks in advance.

Osacar, I recommend that you try to import the application into your workspace on apex.oracle.com and see what happens. Also, refine the problem statement as much as you can, e.g., you get this error importing "the application" or when importing "any" application. How big is the file you're trying to import? Where did it come from? Can you upload images?
