Put music on your computer

I have a ipod nano running windows xp. I have itunes loaded. Can't get itunes to recognize a music CD. I put in a music CD and itunes opens. There is a "processing" window that opens for a split second then disappears. That's it. I read through the manual and tried "advanced-getr CD track names", but that option is greyed out. Wife thinks I'm an idiot...please help. kroger

yep...it's there---Audio CD (D:). I've tried several different CDs and do not get the itunes to list the tracks. Thanks for the help.

hi everyone when i am putting music from my computer to my phone every song saves under a seperate album on my phone.. how can i fix this?

    - go on iTunes
    - click album view on music
Are there more than one albums there?
    - ctrl+click each individual album that has been separated
    - right click the album in question with them selected
    - album info
    - update every field to reflect the same except the song title
--genre and album should reflect the same. Sometimes they separate too
    - hit ok
If the same on iTunes but not the iPhone
    - remove all songs and videos
    - add them again to replace the defected albums

The ! sign before the song means that the actual song is no longer on your computer and/or iTunes library.

If you  have iTunes 11 turn on the Sidebar.  Go to iTunes>View and click on Show Sidebar. You can also do a Crtl+S to show the sidebar.
On the computer go to iTunes>Help>iTunes Help>Syncing your iPod....>Sync You Device and follow the instructions.

  • It doesn't want to put music from my computer onto my iPhone 4S

This has been bothering me for months, and I'm p****d.
I've got the music on my computer, and I've added it to my iTunes library. I've plugged in my iPhone (which, another issue: sometimes it doesn't say my iPhone is plugged in, and I have to keep plugging and unplugging it until it does), and it says it's there. I drag the music from my library over to my iPhone's music folder, and it says "Updating files" or whatever, and the music doesn't get put onto my phone.
It's now started saying "Lost connection with iPhone" when I'm not doing anything, also.
iTunes is a horrible program overall and I avoid using it at all costs, but I've got a ton of music on my computer and I can't find another free program that'll transfer my music over. Please help!

  • Putting music onto new computer after old one crashed

i put my itunes onto my old computer, which crashed recently. now i have a new laptop and i need all my old music thats currently on my ipod, onto my laptop. how can i do this?

Apple doesn't support the transferring of music from your iPod to your iTunes. Only iTunes to iPod. So to do this you will need to download a third party program that will help copy your music from your iPod back to your computer, or there are a couple manual methods you can check out.

If you iPod is set to automatically update and you plug it into iTunes, a message will pop up telling you that your iPod is linked to another library. It will ask if you want to sync and replace all your music. Make sure you hit NO. If you sync with an empty library, then your iPod will also end up empty, because when it syncs it makes an exact copy of your library.
Goodluck, hope something works for ya

  • Putting music from the computer to a blackberry.

Hi, I have a blackberry curve and I have been trying to get music from my computer to my phone and it has not been working..I am using a USB cord and still not working can I get a little assistance please...

Hi and Welcome to the Community!
Can you perhaps provide a little bit more detail? For example, exactly what steps do you try, and exactly what happens when you try? From "has not been working", it's a little bit difficult to guess what could be the issue.
    Thanks and let us know!

  • How do you download music from your computer to your ipod touch

I am trying to download my music from my computer to my iPod Touch and when I plug it in it says no device found!

    Hi Joshie Pumped Up Boudreaux,
When you connect your iPod to your computer, is the iPod's battery dead? If so, it won't turn on for about 10-15 minutes (at least). Once the battery has enough charge, you should see the Apple logo, and it should start up.
Otherwise, see this article if you're using a Windows computer or this one if you're using a Mac.
    Hope this helps,
    O.C.

  • Can you syn your music from your computer to your ipad?

I need help to get my music from my computer to my ipad

Make sure that you select the option 'manualy select items' in iTunes on your computer. After this check the boxes next to all of the songs in iTunes that you want on your iPad. After doing so you are going to need to apply the settings. You may need to reinstall some items back onto your iPad after the settings are applied. Make sure that the box in iTunes under music is selected. Then click sync.
