Putting photos on my Treo 755

I've installed a memory card into my new Treo 755 and added photos to the memory card
using the Palm Desktop, but the photos don't seem to be on the Treo. I've done several hotsyncs.
I just used the camera on the phone and took a couple of photos and saved those to the card.
Hope there is an easy solution.

"DCIM" is a folder that gets created on your expansion card when you store photos on it. DCIM, I believe, stands for Digital Camera IMages. If you don't see a DCIM folder on your expansion card, you can use Windows or Mac OS X to create it and then copy your photos to it.

Have you tried creating a new photo album on the Treo in the application called "Pics&Videos"? If you scroll to the bottom of the list in Pictures & Videos you should see a button called "Create New Album".

Palm Desktop will try to shrink the file down so it is smaller in size so that it fits the screen better and takes up less space on the storage card. That was great 5 years ago when card sizes averaged around 256MB to 512MB. Now that cards are in the 2GB and 4GB range, there is little need to have Palm Desktop try and shrink the files down.
A card reader works just like a floppy disk (doesn anyone still use those things anymore?!), or a USB flash drive. Once you insert the card into the reader, you can interact with it like you would your hard drive in Windows Explorer or Mac OS X's Finder.

Looking for a replacement smartphone for my Treo 755s

Earlier this year, I bought a refurbished Treo 755s, the ebay seller it was new. I bought the Treo 755s to replace my dying Tungsten E2 and thought it would be nice to have my Palm and cell phone together. I have not been happy with this Treo 755s. The past few months, every time I hotsync, it needs to reset. I can not beam wit it. The camera is terrible.
I'm looking for a replacement smartphone. I want something with the nice features of Palm (calendar, contacts, memos, tasks & photo album), a good camera and easy to use phone. I also do not have Windows Outlook. I have Verizon cell phone service.

Dear Quictime Kirk — You are thinking as I do about those purchases, except that I also want to buy iWork so that I can have Pages. (Keynote will be a nice extra.)
My website is large and I do want to shift it all into iWeb '08 because I believe (tell me if I'm wrong) that it will have a nicer look. I am not necessarily meaning those widgets.
I intend to delete some of the pages which time has shown I have less interest in, but there are additions that I want to make....... and I want to do it all with the new iWeb in iLife '08.

If you haven't tried re syncing the apps using iTunes..
Connect the iPad to your computer. Select it under Devices left side of the iTunes window. Select Apps from the menu, make sure the boxes next to those apps are selected then click the Sync button bottom right side of the iTunes window.

No, the Stream is used to sync photos from one device to another, not to store them long term. Always sync photos to a computer to archive them. Once there, you can delete them from your device.

Making a book, this time cannot put photos on page 2, why do I have to waste this page now?

I have made a number of books, this time am using the large book format (2nd time I have) Cannot put photos on page 2, it remains blank and lay out doesn't offer an option. I seriously do not want to start book with page 3, page 1 being script. Cannot over-ride current option. When and why was it changed? Is there any way to overcome this?

What theme are you using? In the themes that I've tested the first page, 1, is the page right after the blank inside cover.

I'm using iPhoto 8.1.2. If you're not getting this try the following; make a temporary, duplicate copy of the library and try the two fixes below in order as needed:
Fix #1
1 - delete the iPhoto preference file, com.apple.iPhoto.plist, that resides in your Home/Library/Preferences folder.
2 - delete iPhoto's cache file, Cache.db, that is located in your Home/Library/Caches/com.apple.iPhoto folder.
3 - reboot, launch iPhoto and try again.
NOTE: If you're moved your library from its default location in your Home/Pictures folder you will have to point iPhoto to its new location when you next open iPhoto by holding the the Option key. You'll also have to reset the iPhoto's various preferences.
Fix #2
Launch iPhoto with the Command+Option keys depressed and follow the instructions to rebuild the library.
Select the options identified in the screenshot and the option to rebuild the small thumbnails.

PS is part of iCloud. PS requires iPhoto 9.2 or later. Other iCloud features have different requirements

Export them
File -> Export
to a folder on the desktop. From there copy them back to your camera.
Remember, the camera has a quite specific set up of folders, and you'll need to put the files back in the correct place for them to be viewable on the camera.
