Q10 How to delete emails

I have a new Q10 and I can't find anywhere how to delete received emails. In my Curve one it was very simple, there is a fonction to suppress previous emails, nothing like that in the Q10, as far as I could see up to now. Anybody could help me? Many thanks!

I want to delete a number of emails at once but don't want to select them one at a time. I also don't want to have to delete all emails before a certain date chosen, or all emails from a certain date. For example, if I want to delete forty emails in a row on a certain date, but keep others on that date, I'd like to be able to scroll and highlight those ten emails then press delete (verus having to select each one at a time). I used to be able to do that with earlier blackberry's, but I can't with my q10. Can I do that?

Cannot find the answer to my question and probably won't be able to ask using the correct terminology, but...
I have a mac laptop, iphone, and ipad as well as a mobile me account. I also have three email accounts set up on each of these devices through the mail application (me.com, hotmail, and gmail)
I am trying to figure out how to delete emails simultaneously from all devices when I delete it on one device. For example: I delete an email I read on my ipad from my hotmail account and want it it disappear from the inbox on my iphone and laptop. As it is now I have to delete messages separately from all devices... meaning I have to waste time reviewing messages I have already decided to throw away.
Can anyone offer help on how to accomplish this.

Actually, Yahoo is Imap (as is google). but the point remains - if you are using a pop account, you need to delete the mail from each device.(pop is basically a one way system). If you have an imap account, changes you make of one device are communicated to all your other devices.

So I have been trying to figure out how to delete emails on my BBZ10 so if I let someone use my phone they will not be able to snoop at my emails. When I delete them from my BBZ10 they are deleted from the server too. Is there a way to delete them on the phone only? Or is there a way to just password protect just the email account? That would be neat, password protect just one or two applications instead of the whole phone. Password protect Facebook only, Twitter only or an email account only.

deleted emails are also deleted from the server (no more BIS).
I don't believe that you can password protect email access. The password gets stored at account setup. If you change the account password, I believe that the Z10 will ask you for the new password. I don't know if you will have the option not to save it though.

Email addresses that are not in your Contacts app but which still show up in Mail will disappear after a period of time when they are unused. Just ignore them and they will eventually go away.

If the accounts have been set up with Nokia Messaging, then go to email.nokia.com, log in there with the details of the first account you set up, and then you can delete accounts you don't need.

When you setup Yahoo on the iPhone it defaults to IMAP because Yahoo offers free IMAP Push for iPhone users, as discussed in this article:

If you add your Yahoo account as "other" it will be setup as POP.
With IMAP messages are stored on the server, and messages created in one email client, such as the iPhone, show up in the sent mailbox on both. In addition messages moved to a different folder on the iPhone, will be in a different folder when you access your Yahoo mail via a web browser or another IMAP client. Likewise message you delete, will also be synchronized and deleted.

attachments. It has been tested on my dev box and is functioning
fine as the attachment upload to a designated directory on the
server. I would like the attachments to be purged once the e-mail

The tutorial only explains how to delete the attachment when
the recipient checks there mail
in the POP server.
Assuming that the sender is in a session would the code be
written to delete the attached file from the directory on
the server one the e-mail is sent.
Can someone explain how to automatically delete email
attachments from a designated directory or provide me with the code
that would handle this after an email is sent with attachment.

I don't know why your dos code didn't run. It could be
addressing. My limited experience with cfdirectory/cffile/cfexecute
is to type out the complete path at least once.

Hard to say, depends on what else you are new at. If you are
new to html, then htmlgoodies.com has good tutorials. So does
webmonkey.com. If you have trouble with sql, I have heard good
things about the SAMS book, Teach Yourself SQL in 10 Minutes by Ben
Forta. I learned javascript by buying the book Teach Yourself
Javascript in 24 Hours. The O'Reilly books are also good. I learned
awk with one of those books.

Try this:
Start a new email. In the To address bar, type in xyz like you normally do, press return to confim, and when the address you want to remove shows up in the address bar, move your cursor over the address you want to delete.
A small triangle next to the name will show up. click on it, a drop down menu will open, click Remove from Previous Recipients List. Then do the drop down menu again and Remove Address.

Dear Radek,
since Emails are represented by workitems, they
can be deleted by using transaction SWWL.
Call the transaction, delete all the default data from the selection-
screen in section 'Work item', leave the 'Technical settings'
untouched, specify date and time and enter task TS14007918.
You should not mark flag 'Delete immediately'.
In the result list you can set also filters perhaps on field 'Text' and filter all the
workitems which belong to for example a campaign-autoreply-loop. In this filtered
result list you now can delete the workitems one by one or all at once.
