  • Notifications : Table of the name of "Person Respons"

    Hi Experts,
    Did any one know the table of :
    - Name of Person Respons. (Partner text)
    - Department resp (Partner text)
    This fields exist in Notification.

    Hello Bakkali,
    in the structure IHPAVB you can see the correspondent address type, and you would then have to select the correspondent entry in ADRC or ADRP depending on the value of AD_ADRTYPE, in this table you can access the correspondent address data such as the name or the department responsible.
    I hope that this information helps you resolve the described issue.
    Regards,
    Isabelle

  • Is this the best design for asynchronous notifications (such as email)? Current design uses Web Site, Azure Service Bus Queue, Table Storage and Cloud Service Worker Role.

    I am asking for feedback on this design. Here is an example user story:
    As a group admin on the website I want to be notified when a user in my group uploads a file to the group.
    Easiest solution would be that in the code handling the upload, we just directly create an email message in there and send it. However, this seems like it isn't really the appropriate level of separation of concerns, so instead we are thinking to have a separate
    worker process which does nothing but send notifications. So, the website in the upload code handles receiving the file, extracting some metadata from it (like filename) and writing this to the database. As soon as it is done handling the file upload it then
    does two things: Writes the details of the notification to be sent (such as subject, filename, etc...) to a dedicated "notification" table and also creates a message in a queue which the notification sending worker process monitors. The entire sequence
    is shown in the diagram below.
    My questions are: Do you see any drawbacks in this design? Is there a better design? The team wants to use Azure Worker Roles, Queues and Table storage. Is it the right call to use these components or is this design unnecessarily complex? Quality attribute
    requirements are that it is easy to code, easy to maintain, easy to debug at runtime, auditable (history is available of when notifications were sent, etc...), monitor-able. Any other quality attributes you think we should be designing for?
    More info:
    We are creating a cloud application (in Azure) in which there are at least 2 components. The first is the "source" component (for example a UI / website) in which some action happens or some condition is met that triggers a second component or "worker"
    to perform some job. These jobs have details or metadata associated with them which we plan to store in Azure Table Storage. Here is the pattern we are considering:
    Steps:
    Condition for job met.
    Source writes job details to table.
    Source puts job in queue.
    Asynchronously:
    Worker accepts job from queue.
    Worker Records DateTimeStarted in table.
    Queue marks job marked as "in progress".
    Worker performs job.
    Worker updates table with details (including DateTimeCompleted).
    Worker reports completion to queue.
    Job deleted from queue.
    Please comment and let me know if I have this right, or if there is some better pattern. For example sake, consider the work to be "sending a notification" such as an email whose template fields are filled from the "details" mentioned in
    the pattern.

    Hi,
    Thanks for your posting.
    This development mode can exclude some errors, such as the file upload complete at the same time... from my experience, this is a good choice to achieve the goal.

  • Regarding Workflow Notification

    Hello everyone,
    Suppose if a Workflow Mailer sent an email but the email was bounced because the recipient mail box is full / recipient address is wrong or domain is wrong
    in such cases is there any table or any place where I can see the reason for failure
    in notifications table there will be FAILED in MAIL_STATUS column, but is the reason captured ?
    Please help
    Thanks

    If you have enabled the 'Statement' level log for the mailer.
    The error message would be captured in the mailer log file... normally under $APPLCSF/APPLLOG directory under the name 'FNDCP*.txt'

  • Order is assigned to a general notification - INCORRECT SAP BEHAVIOR

    Has anyone encountered the issue where a work order is assigned to a general notification.  This is an incorrect SAP behavior.  Only maintenance and service notifications can be linked to a work order.
    Here's the steps to replicate the issue:
    1. Open a work order via transaction IW32.
    2. Go to Objects tab.
    3. In the next available line of the Object List table, go to the Notification column.  Enter a GENERAL notification.  (Here at work, we have a process where operator submit a work/change request.  They come in initial as GENERAL notifications.  It then goes to an approval process.  That's when it gets converted to a Maintenance Notification).
    4. After entering the general notification number, hit enter.  You will get the error "Transaction not allowed
    for notification type G1".  G1 is our general notification type.  This behavior is correct.
    5. Take out the notification number since it is causing an error.  Hit enter.  This time no more errors show up.  Everything is fine.
    6. Save the work order.
    7. Open table QMEL via transaction SE16.
    8. Look for the general notification.  You will see that field AUFNR was assigned the work order number.  THIS IS NOT CORRECT.
    I looked at SAP Notes but didn't find one that will fix the issue.  I'm wondering if anyone has encountered this issue before.  Thanks.
    Giscard

    Well Giscard,
    You are definitely right about this. Such an incosistency in one of the tables refers to an incorrect behavior. But one amazing thing is that the Object List table OBJK is not updated with the notification number whereas the Notification table QMEL gets updated with the order number and even the status of the notification is changed to Order Assigned and whenever you would try to link the notification to another order, it would not allow you to do so.
    In this case, I suppose you should raise an OSS to SAP regarding such behaviour. I was also searching the marketplace, did find some SAP notes about inconsistencies in the QMEL table like 1345087 but none actually addresses this issue.

  • Table QMEL: Adding a Z field

    Hi guys.
    I want to ask you about how to add a Z field into the Notifications table QMEL.
    Please, I need your help.
    Thank you.
    R.Romero.
    Moderator message: appending Z-fields is standard functionality, please read documentation before asking.
    Edited by: Thomas Zloch on Nov 5, 2010 4:15 PM

    In the View,Menubar->goto-> append view.
    It will ask for the structure for  append.You now have to define a name for this append view. The system proposes a list of the append views that already exist for this view. If there is no reason for not doing so, you should choose an append view from this list and then enhance it.
    If the view does not yet have an append view, the system normally proposes a standard name that can be selected if there is no reason for not doing so. If no name is proposed, you must select a name in your namespace.

  • Relation between notification and order

    Hi,
    In the notification table QMEL, you have a field AUFNR which corresponds to thr order's number.
    But an order can have a principal notification, and other notifications attached to it ( throw the tab objects in iw21/iw22 ).
    How to identify the principal notification of an order ??
    Thank's for your help.

    You can look for a combination of QMNUM,QMART & AUFNR in the Table QMEL.

  • Designing notification for incoming messages

    Hi all;
    I work on a project where I have the task of finding a way to give the user a notification in the header part of the page, like for example number of new messages recieved. These messages are received asynchronously in the background using a web service.
    What I did, is that I defined a class that implemented the ServletRequestListener interface which fires a method on EACH request to check the new messages in the notifications table, and made other necessary configuration like registering the listener in the web.xml file.
    But it is very bad to connect to the table on each request, any better and more efficient ideas, please.

    Hi Francois, nothing wrong with your English at all!
    Not certain, but this can fix myriad Mail problems...
    Safe Boot from the HD, (holding Shift key down at bootup),  it will try to repair your Disk Directory while the spinning radian is happening, so let it go, run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, then move this folder & file to the Desktop.
    Move this Folder to the Desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Caches/Mail/
    Move this file to the Desktop...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/Envelope Index
    Reboot.
    If that doesn't do it and you can afford to redo all your Rules, try these & reboot...
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist
    /Users/YourUserName/Library/Mail/MessageRules.plist.backup

  • DML statements notification

    Hello,
    I have about 300 tables in my database, which is in oracle 9i. If any DML statements are done on these tables, I need a notification like, inserts a row to a notification table or creates a notification file. Writting trigger on all these tables is not possible. Is there are any other ways??

    Writing triggers on each table should be possible if not practical. You discarded that idea so we'll explore another.
    You might be able to create a system level trigger on the schema(s) in question. Check the Oracle documentation to see if the system trigger events support DML activity; they do support DDL activity.

  • PRD Cutover - Replace RSWUWFML2 with Extended Notif framework SWNADMIN

    Hi Folks,
    We are using RSWUWFML2 to send out notifications for workitems in Production (PRD) environment.
    Now we have implemented Extended Notification framework (SWNADMIN) in Dev and we are happy with what we learnt so decided to discontinue RSWUWFML2 in PROD and replace it with SWNADMIN config and job SWN_SELSEN.
    From what I understand when I configure SWNADMIN in PROD and the SWN_SELSEN is run first time, it will send out one notification to every user who has pending work-items in their Inbox eventhough these users may already have received notifications for such items from existing program RSWUWFML2.
    How do we do this cutover (discontinue RSWUWFML2 with extended notif framework)? How do I make sure that any work-items that were already accounted for send by RSWUWFML2 will not be considered by SWN_SELSEN?
    Can I maintain a cutoff date in one of the  extended notification tables?
    our SWNADMIN settings - All items - Once a day / New and changed work-items - Once every 30 mins,/ reminders for any pending work-items - individual notification for every workitem (after initial collective notification) until workitem is completed
    I will appreciate any help.
    Saurabh

    Whether this is the best approach or not this is what I did.
    In SWNADMIN I deleted the SAP entry ALL (under Selections) (ALL_FULL and ALL_DELTA).  I then created my own Selection and then specified the tasks to send notifications for.
    Once I had created the custom selection (ZSELECTION) two entries were created (viewable in SWNCONFIG)
    1) ZSELECTION_ALL
    2) ZSELECTION_DELTA
    I removed the schedule for ZSELECTION_ALL and only the schedule for Delta remained. This way only new and changed tasks will be included in the SWN_SELSEN program.
    Then you can migrate the tasks at your discretion and remove the entries from RSWUWFML2 batch job on a case by case basis.
    Additionally dont forget you should setup the batch job program to delete notifications as well: RSWNNOTIFDEL

  • PCR notification.

    How are the find the time period between the request, approval and action of a PCR notifications (table :QMEL and JEST are being used). What are the Functions to calculate or retrive the data?

    Hi Hemant,
    You can get the status overview for the PCR using the function module 'ISR_SPECIAL_DATA_GET'. Give the Notification number & get back the special_data Table. You will find the required info in the STATUSOVERVIEW fields of the SPECIAL_DATA table.

  • Need help in Notification issue

    Hi All,
    Have designed a new custom workflow, as part of workflow notification need to be sent to the supervisor.
    For this i have created role and assign users dynamically using below codes
    wf_directory.getroleinfo (v_role_name_b,
    v_role_display_name_b,
    v_email_address_b,
    v_notif_preference,
    v_language,
    v_territory
    IF v_role_display_name_b IS NOT NULL
    THEN
    --Remove the users from the role
    wf_directory.removeusersfromadhocrole (role_name => v_role_name_b,
    role_users => NULL
    wf_directory.adduserstoadhocrole (role_name => v_role_name_b,
    role_users => v_user_name
    ELSE
    -- Create the adhocrole .
    wf_directory.createadhocrole
    (role_name => v_role_name_b,
    role_display_name => v_role_display_name_b,
    LANGUAGE => 'AMERICAN',
    territory => 'AMERICA',
    role_description => v_role_display_name_b,
    notification_preference => 'MAILHTML',
    role_users => v_user_name,
    email_address => NULL,
    fax => NULL,
    status => 'ACTIVE',
    expiration_date => NULL,
    parent_orig_system => NULL,
    parent_orig_system_id => NULL,
    owner_tag => NULL
    END IF;
    Then this role is assigned to the attribute 'SEND_TO_ROLE' defined in the workflow.
    wf_engine.setitemattrtext (itemtype => itemtype,
    itemkey => itemkey,
    aname => 'SEND_TO_ROLE',
    avalue => v_role_name_b
    For this attribute 'SEND_TO_ROLE' have assigned Type as Role in Workflow.
    I can see records in Notification table with Mail_status as 'Mail', but not receiving the notifications either in mail nor in notification form, not sure where it is stuck.
    Not sure how to debug workflow, have downloaded the log file FNDCPGSC695411.txt but i am not able to find the exact issue.
    Please give your inputs to fix this issue.
    System Details:
    Workflow Builder - 2.6.3.5
    OEBS - 12.1.2
    Database - 11g
    Thanks in advance
    Rajesh

    Since you are assigning the notification to a role (v_role_name_b) and not to a user directly, then you will have to change the message of this notification so that the check box Expand Roles is checked. This way the workflow mailer will loop through all the users of this role (in this case only this user) and will e-mail the notification.
    Of course, you need to ensure that the user v_user_name was created properly and has an e-mailable notification preference, like MAILHTML or so.
    Regards,
    Alejandro

  • Re Maintenance Notification

    Hi All,
    Can anyone help me in this
    When Maintenance Notification is created from General Notification , Work flow to notify the person who has submitted the request.We can use the Created by field on the associated notification field to identify the person.
    Thanks in Advance,
    Ram.

    Hi,
    You can use the WF_INITIATOR container element available as part of the Workitem.
    you dont have to refer the CREATED field in the Notification table.
    Hope this helps.

    Raj
