I generate a message in the userexit ZXQQMU20 during SAVE.
Is it possible, to get the longtext from a action at this time?
The FM READ_TEXT will not work, because the text will be still not saved, or?

Unable to change the order quantity value during save of sales order

Hi Experts,
There is a need to change the order quantity value, based on some conditions, when pressed 'ENTER' or during 'SAVE' of the sales order (VA01, VA02).
We are trying to change the order quantity value (KWMENG) in table XVBAP in the subroutines userexit_field_modification, userexit_save_document and userexit_save_document_prepare of the user exit 'MV45AFZZ'. But the change is not replicated to field on GUI.
The order quantity value can be changed in subroutine 'userexit_move_field_to_vbap', but the subroutine is not getting triggered when user changes only the order quantity on screen.
Please help us in resolving this issue.

Thanks for your time guys. The issue is resolved.
SAP is not triggering the vbap user exit as the order quantity on screen is in structure RV45A.
There are two ways of resolving the issue.
1. Implement the SAP note #513342 - Quantity change and USEREXIT_MOVE_FIELD_TO_VBAP. But, it is SAP modification note.
2. Write the code in VBEP exit of MV45AFZZ. This user exit is called whenever the order quantity is changed. But, it is called multiple times in some cases. Hence, need to write code to limit our code execution only once e.g. maintain a global table with our quantity & uom. Check when the quantity and uom in our table is same as quantity on screen. If not, exit from user-exit.

LV 2009 SP1 corrupts front panel VI during 'save' operation

My best guess is that corruption happens during 'save' operation.
Steps:
1. Slightly modify vi.
2. Run it, then stop and exit with saving of changes. (Saving takes unusual big amount time and cpu/memory resources)
3. Try to open vi and get the message "LabVIEW:Generic error... error code 3:Could not load front panel."
4. Exit from LabView
5. Start LabView and got the message "The last time you ran LabVIEW, an internal error or crash occurred at loaddata.cpp, line 3070"
Tried to reinstall LabView but it didn't help.
Any advice?

There were a lot of things that you did not post so I skipped through them.
Did a diagram clean-up and saved without issue.
maybe you should duplicate what I did (load with sub-VI and X-Controls adn save) to see if it is still corrupted for you. If not start adding stuff back in until you find what causing the crash.
So no crash on my machine.

Basically, these are multiple macro enabled spreadsheets from one client. It happens with no other clients who also use macros. They are all saved to our network, which has plenty of space. Any of our users that access these files have the same issue.

Check the Macro and File Blocker settings in the Trust Center.(File>Option>Trust center>Trust center settings)
Then we suggest to perform a clean startup to determine whether background programs are interfering with your Office program.

PCUI Pop up Confirmation during save event

Hi,
I would like to implement a confirmation pop up at tthe time of save. the user may
choose to proceed with the save or cancel save.
I have implemented in the following fashion but apparently it does not refresh the data on the PCUI page.
1. CHECK_BEFORE_SAVE - Raise Information Message. Set Flag not to save.
2. SAVE - Check if flag is set not to save, return error code. and do not continue with save.
3. GET_MESSAGES - Add the messages to rt_applog (Message is configured for navigation)
4. PROCESS_EVENT - Process for the pop up events 'Yes' and 'No'.
'Yes' event will call the save method after initializing do not save flag. 'No' with exit.
Please recommend correct way to implement a pop-up confirmation during save event.

This pop up is related to the WorkProtect mode,
It will be configured in the portal,
There will be 3 options available
if Workprotect mode is 0--- then navigate automatically
1-- pop up and then navigate
2- navigate with out saving.
i'm not sure about the values.
WorkProtect mode can be seen in the personalize link and this link is available if eu_role is assigned to the corresponding user.

It's not a JACOB issue, probably you have to direct your question to some Microsoft newsgroup (about Microsoft Word 97 automation using OLE/COM)

Why does Acrobat XI PRO freeze during save or save as tasks in Window 8?

Why does Acrobat XI PRO freeze during save or save as tasks in Window 8? It is intermittent, but CHRONIC, and I am forced to "repair" the installation, or reboot by computer. This has been a problem since upgrading to Windows 8 and installing the only Acrobat XI update. Feedback most welcome and appreciated, but an Adobe FIX would be the best solution.

10/4 to all, same problem here with Save or Save As in Acrobat XI Pro using Win 8 Pro, is it Adobe or Win 8 or both causing the problem.

Illustrator CS5 crashes every time the destination is changed during save & save as

I have a new Macbook Pro Retina with OS X Yosemite, version 10.10.1.
Every time I try to change the destination folder for a file during "Save" or "Save As" in Illustrator CS5 the program crashes & I get an extensive error message. I have tried uninstalling & reinstalling Illustrator 3 times but the issue persists. I have tried installing it both with the original Creative Suite disk I purchased in 2010 and with the download from Adobe's website, and neither made a difference. I have not experienced any problems with the Photoshop or InDesign programs from the same Creative Suite package.
Please advise on how to fix this issue.

Use the Recycle Bin during Save Operations

The other night I was working on a big image. I had been saving it to my master .psd file, and right before I quit my Photoshop session I downsized the image and did a Save - As .jpg so I would have a draft copy.
When I exited Photoshop it dutifully prompted me "The document has changed, do you want to save?" and I absent-mindedly clicked [ Yes ]. Oops!
By virtue of the fact that I had saved the master file in several different folders, I did not lose all my work, even though my latest master file was overwritten with a small image.
I believe that when Photoshop saves a file it actually writes a new file with a temporary name, then deletes the old file and renames the newly written file to the name of the old. So I thought to myself, perhaps Photoshop used the Recycle Bin, and I can undelete the previous version... But it wasn't there.
If the deletion I mention above is actually happening...
It would be great if Photoshop would to send files that are deleted during Save operations to the Windows Recyle Bin. Then prior files could be available via undelete.
I've also submitted this via the wish form.

Thank you, c., for the suggestion and offer to help. I'm quite aware of making duplicate images, etc., to avoid what I boneheadedly did. I actually have an action that does the job, though I've kind of stopped using it now that Photoshop can now Save-As a Copy directly to an 8 bit JPEG from a 16 bit document. Perhaps I should resurrect it. I rarely make this kind of mistake, but it was late and I was tired. My practice of changing folders for my final sprint to the finish line saved me in this case, as I had only done one or two small things that needed redoing.
But it would have been nice to find the previous version of the file all nestled and waiting for me in the Recycle Bin.

Acrobat 9 Pro - PDF Optimizer fails when selecting overwrite file during save process

Hello Everyone,
I am wondering if Acrobat 9 Pro has changed in the way it handles PDF Optimizing functioning when trying to overwrite the file you are attempting to optimize. In Acrobat 8 Professional, it overwrites the file just fine when it gets to the save process. It does work when you modify the name during the save process, however, it would be nice to know if this is "the way it works" or the "program has an issue".
Thoughts?
Message received when trying to overwrite the file,
COnversion Warnings> "An error was encountered while saving the document."
Logically, it seems as though the application cannot save over an "opened" file thus dumping that message on me.

How to terminate remaining Actions in a script sequence if the user presses "Cancel" during SaveAs

I'm using the following script to email a completed form to a pre-programmed email address and would like a way to cancel remaning in-line scripts if the user cancels teh first Step.
Basically, after completing the form I cereated, the user would click the submit button and a series of actions will take place:
1. Execute a menu item: SaveAs giving the user a chance to Save the current state of the form.
[Here is where I need a Arcobat script that terminates all remaning actions if the user cancels the SaveAs action]
2. Once the form has been saved (and not canceled), the next action involves prepping and generating an email to send the form using the user's default email client:

3. Once the form has been emailed, another SaveAs menu item fires, thereby, allowing the user to save the "readonly" version. So now, he has a clean "open version" that he saved before Step #2, and a "readonly" version after step #2.
The only thing that's causing an issue now is if the user presses Cancel after the Step #1 (where he/she is asked to save the form), the remaining scripts in-line continue to fire, alougth the "Cancel" button was pressed.
SO, I need a script that terminates all remaining scripts (i.e. end process) if the user hits cancels during Step #1, thereby preventing step 2 from starting.

ok, i've had a play with it . . . and come up with two options, one that breaks attempts to break any code being run if the cancel button is hit. either way, they need to be added into a document level javascript, and applies the required action to your submit button (trust me, this becomes a lot easier than applying script to buttons directly!)
i just wrote functions that chain, so the first function calls the second, and the second calls the third. seemed easier than trying to nest them. i know the finaliseForm function simply calls the first in the chain, but that's just a matter of personal preference, i prefer to define functions with logical names. also, that way, you can test each function individually, or all together, and write more code to the finaliseForm function if you need to.
not sure if you're using acrobat 9 or X, but the document level javascript is in two different places. in 9 it's under advanced - document processing - document javascripts. just give it a name, add it, remove any lines in the window that appear and paste in this code.
so here's the one that continues the script, with prompts, even when the no button is hit. let me know how you go!

MIRO - User Exit during SAVE: Read items & Update header

During MIRO after pressing save...
I search for an user-exit or BAdI, to READ ITEM DATA and UPDATE HEADER DATA (XBLNR) after SAVE but before UPDATE.
I have searched this forum, but with no luck. Many more then me seem to have the same problem. The most common answer have been to try BAdI INVOICE_UPDATE, but that BAdI only give READ access and NO UPDATE, so no luck there..

In BADI INVOICE_UPDATE there are 3 methods CHANGE_AT_SAVE, CHANGE_BEFORE_UPDATE and CHANGE_IN_UPDATE.
Of these CHANGE_AT_SAVE is called before INSERT / UPDATE statements are executed. We can use this to update RBKP-XBLNR.
We can't use CHANGE_BEFORE_UPDATE and CHANGE_IN_UPDATE methods as they are called after INSERT / UPDATE statements are executed and before COMMIT.
You can update RBKP-XBLNR through INVOICE_UPDATE~CHANGE_AT_SAVE method using call stack technique like below. You can replace 'VALUE' in the below code with the value based on your calculation using other variables like s_rbkp_new, ti_rseg_new etc.
