Why does IBA not include the table of contents when exporting in PDF? I can seee the TOC in iBooks Author but when I want to see what it looks like in a regular PDF, the TOC does not show up.

Strange question you ask here. Not sure why that is relevant to "why" IBA won't publish a table of contents in a PDF.
But since eyou asked, it's simple, I want to author some books in IBA and also see what they look like - completed - in PDF. Again, any suggestions as to a work around so I don't have to cut and paste back into Pages?

You have it backwards.
Tablets (Kindle, Galaxy, iPad) don't support Flash.
Chronologically:
2008 (March) - Apple® releases the first iPhone, using iOS®. Steve Jobs is insistent and adamant that iOS® is NOT compatible with Flash® and NEVER WILL BE. Jobs' reasoning is that playing Flash® content is processor consumptive and it drains batteries, thus shortening the life of them in mobile devices. In six years, that hasn't changed. Not for the iPhone®, iPad® or iPod® Touch™. It never will change and there never will be a Flash Player® for iOS®.
2008 (September) - Google® introduces Android™ to compete with iOS®, for people who don't want to pay what Apple® is asking for an iPhone®. Android®, unlike its Apple® counterpart IS compatible with Flash®.
2012 (June) - Android™ (Google®) announces the end of support for Flash® with Android™ 4.3. Going forward NO Android™ devices will be compatible with Flash®, but older versions on older devices can still be loaded with "legacy" builds still available from Adobe®. Android™ (Google®) cites the same reason Apple® did for the decision to end support of Flash®. Forgive me if it's a silly question, but I'm genuinely curious. After Effects gives the user the option to right-click any file in the Projects panel and choose Create Proxy, in any number of formats. It then automatically replaces that file with its proxy, which can be undone by checking the Proxy box next to its name. This is incredibly useful, yet nothing like it seems to be included in Premiere. Is it just assumed that rendering preview files and using the 1/2, 1/4, etc view modes makes proxies like this unneeded? It's not even really a problem, it's just that I've started taking an Avid course this week and upon seeing its automatic conversion of all files to its proxy codec, I wondered why Premiere doesn't feature something along the same lines.

Why does Adobe not inform customers of recurrent charges

I found an odd charge on my credit card this month from Adobe. Tried to call the 1-800 number and there was no answer. Called my credit card company, they tried to contact Adobe and again, no answer. My credit card company told me it was a charge from Adobe Cloud. I didn't recognize it, so we agreed to process it as fraud. Then I find a chat page on the Adobe site, and a rep informs me I purchased a software back in 2012 that converts Word to PDF documents and, guess what, it's a recurring annual charge. So I went into all my spam messages, and all my emails and found no emails from Adobe informing me that this "renewal" charge was coming. There was no receipt of the charge either when it was processed on 4/2/14. I received no notifications whatsoever. I told the rep that, and he responded that he could send me a confirmation email message now. But, it's too late now. I already processed it as fraud. My computer security company always emails me ahead of time if they are going to re-charge my credit card for an annual purchase, and then they send me an email receipt verifying it went through. Why doesn't Adobe do this? If I had seen that, I might not have processed the fraud charge. As it is, I had no choice. What gives?

Photoshop CC banding issue, what is the fix? And why does Adobe not address this?

I am having a issue with banding. I paint in my backgrounds but instead of a nice smooth graduation I get banding. This occurs in 8 bit and 16bit. I have changed the drawing mode to basic. I have even photographed a graduated background and it still has banding. Here is my computer info. Thanks.

There have been several others who have tried to illustrate a problem like what you describe, and it's been traditionally very difficult to distinguish between what we expect to see and something that's abnormal. There is not just a single identified problem that fits your description.
The best you can do is be very, very thorough in your descriptions, including exactly what you're doing in order to create an image where you see the problem. Include as many screen grabs as you can, concentrating on showing what you consider a good result vs. bad.

Why does adobe not let you manage the computers your accounts are set up with from the online service?

?? They expect you to deauthorize from that computer, but if you sell that computer you don't have access to it anymore. HELLO?? Anyone at Adobe try thinking that far ahead or is it done on purpose to screw the customers? I have to active creative cloud memberships but only one computer using it with 4 computers signed up with only 1 actively using it because I don't have access to the other ones to deactivate the computers creative cloud is active on. Adobe recommends reinstalling creative cloud and deactivating, but here's a newsflash, if you don't own those computers anymore YOU CANT DO IT. It is not that hard to activate and deactivate computers "FROM THE CLOUD" especially on a service called "CREATIVE CLOUD" because Microsoft and apple do it with Office 365 and any Mac product. I take it my only solution is to cancel my credit card??

Before complaining that something can't be done, a simple question of HOW to do something would be better... there IS a way to deactivate a computer you don't have access to physically

Why does Adobe not care about its users?

I had tech support take over my computer but unwilling to help with adobe flash and reader because they are free. Keep in mind that I do have a trail CC, that I will not re-new. I waited for three hours, and when I asked if there was a cc similar that he could help me with all he said was no. I am in such despair.

I'm about to start freelancing and all my clients are still on CS5. I don't want to have to shell out money to buy the CS5.
I know you can export indesign files as idml files, but there are text issues which makes it unfeasible to use for long docs.

Why does Adobe Reader continue to state a software update is available after 9.4.4 security patch?

Applied security patch 9.4.4 to Adobe Reader and it continues to state that there is a software update available. It will download the same 9.4.4 patch and nothing changes - the "about adobe reader" does state it is 9.4.4 release.

You'll get a response if you report this problem on the Acrobat Reader forum.
