QT designer starts on wrong screen

Hi.
I have a dual monitor setting running for quiet a while now, every monitor running a separate x server.
When launching the QT5 Designer, it always opens on the second screen (:0.1), even when I prepend `DISPLAY=":0.0". And it seems there is no `-display` option support. `/usr/bin/designer` is a symlink to qtchooser, which does the whole magic and launches `/usr/lib/qt/bin/designer`. Both, the symlink and the actual binary show this behaviour. And there are no other applications that behave like that, so it seems to be a problem for this specific application. Even the QT4 Designer starts on the screen you open it, like expected.
I have searched the qt bugtracker and arch bugtracker for informations or solutions, but couldn't find a match.
Can anyone else confirm this behaviour? Or can give a hint how to force it to do what I expect?

Unfortunately that is exactly correct. This is a bug in iDVD 8/9.....It worked ok in iDVD 6 as I remember.
Your experience is exactly what happens with this bug....iDVD appears to recognize that your iMovie has been edited, asks if you want to update and of course you click on 'update', since the only other option is 'cancel.' Everything seems to be fine, but the bug causes every chapter to default to the same one, usually the one closest to the edit, but not always. I changed the spelling of a subtitle in one iMovie and ran into this problem. The first time I thought it was just a fluke, but it happened again with another project when I added a 3 second audio clip. There is no 'fix' for this. You must create a new iDVD project with your edited iMovie.
I have not seen this happening with putting in a beginning chapter marker, and I don't remember this from earlier iDVD versions, but I never put a chapter marker at the beginning of my iMovies. Misplaced markers can cause problems in iDVD project burning, but I don't think the defaulting to the same chapter is one of them.
However, to try to save redoing your iDVD project, I would delete the chapter marker at the beginning of your project first and see if that will work.
But, if not, you must redo your iDVD project.
If your project is fairly complicated, you can use 'Grab' to take screenshots of your settings for your menus and submenus so recreating your project will be easier.
Good luck with it, and be thankful that you will not have to redo your entire iMovie!

My G5 won't start beyond grey screen with the logo on it. The fans simply get louder and louder.
It acts as our server and the raid drive on it had been having privileges problems. One person on another forum suggested I run Disc Utility to repair permissions. I did so, there were a couple of minor permissions fixed. After that, the Mac would not re-boot.
I got the DVD door open and ran Disk Warrior on the drive, the files and the hardware. It claimed to repair a few minor issues and there were no problems with the hardware. It still wouldn't boot, so I reset the SMU. ?Still no start, so I reset the PRAM. Still the same.
Any ideas?
G5, OSX 10.5.6, 6 GB ram, approximately 100 GB free on system drive, over 800 GB free on RAID.

I'm having the same problem though I'm running 10.4.11. After getting to about the point you are at did an "Archive and Install" but after about a day of working fine, it had a kernal panic and I couldn't boot past the gray screen again. I took it to my local Apple Store and they ran 2 hours of diagnostics w/o finding anything wrong. They told me to do an "Erase and Install." That is where I am at now because I can't get the machine to boot from my 10.3.5 Install CD--it hangs at the black screen when I try to boot from the CD by holding down "C" at boot. This is the original system software that came with the machine at purchase.
There are many posts out there about bad RAM causing these kinds of problems. You might want to search around for those posts.
Good luck and I'm going to watch this thread hoping that someone will have a suggestion that will help me too.

ECATT ERROR (Screen Simulator: wrong screen ID for simulation)

Error found in create ECATT for Equipment master ( IE01) , I followed the following step.
1.0 Run Transaction SECATT.
2.0 Given the name of the Test Script (TS) in Test Script input box. The Version input by default is with value 1.
3.0 In the Attributes ->General Data Tab, the value of the Component will be PM-EQM-EQ.
4.0 In the test script editor, choose the Editor tab. Choose Pattern button from the application toolbar.
5.0 The Insert Statement dialog box appears. Enter Group- UI ControFrom the Command Dropdown List, choose TCD (Record).
6.0 In the Transaction field, enter the transaction code (IE01) of the transaction that we want to record, and choose Enter.
7.0 The transaction starts recording. Work through the transaction as normal. When we leave the transaction, the system returns to the script editor with the Recording ended dialog box. Choose Yes to transfer the data.
8.0 Double click the Test Script editor with TCD command
Command interface display,
*Select DYNPRO MODE PROG & perform Simulator*
System issue Message-Screen Simulator: wrong screen ID for simulation data.
A TCD command and its associated Command Interface were not inserted in test script editor of SECATT.
Please help me to come out with this problem.

If you open the recovery drive (partition) it should only have a single folder (Recovery).
To make sure that your not saving restore points to that drive.
See:
Start, Control Panel, System, System Protection tab. Make sure the D drive partition is set to OFF so that it does not save there.

IMac starts with fan, screen stays black

When attempting to start my iMac G5 (Ambient Light Sensor), fans come on but screen stays black. A couple minutes later, the fans rev up and run very quickly and loudly. This started happening when:
1. One day the screen showed a green question mark with a message indicating that the computer needed to be restarted in a box
2. Green lines were all across the screen
3. I forced it to shut down by holding down the power button
4. When I attempted to start it back up the fans started but the screen stayed black
5. After a couple of minutes, the fans revved up
This has been happening ever since. One time the computer started to the desktop but everything was frozen. I have reset the PMU, checked the diagnostic LEDs, reset the PRAM-basically everything suggested. Can anyone help? Thanks!

Strongly recommend that you update to OS 10.4.11. Your system info confirms you are still using the basic Tiger OS.

HT202159 Problem with Update on It started, then the screen went white and the icons for the apps on the desktop were all blackened, 'waiting'. What now?

It showed a number of apps to be updated on my iPad, so I clicked 'update all' as usual. It started, then the screen went white. The icons for the apps on the desktop went black, as they do, with the first one half way around the little circle timer, and two marked 'waiting', with others not that far into the process. They all stopped. Now I can't stop the update process in the App Store, or use any of the apps. What do I do next? Help, please!

From what I can gather you have a few apps that only display "Waiting". The following is a past discussion that dealt with a similar issue, the answer may help you as well:

Try tapping the App, so that it changes to Paused instead of Waiting, then tap it again to resume the install.
Make sure you don't have any paused downloads in other apps either, like the App Store or iTunes Store.
If that doesn't do it, try resetting or restoring the iPhone.

While typing keyboard starts typing wrong letters

I have checked my settings for my keyboard and have changed keyboards. I can open Pagemaker 7 & start typing, all's well. Then after a while it starts typing wrong letters & I can't use my short cuts. I also tryed reloading Pagemaker 7. I have run Malwarebytes, AVG, & Spybot. I can't find anything. It is also doing the same thing In Photoshop. It doesn't do it in any other programs besides Adobe.

I thought it was setup Default input language as English (United States).I checked and there was 2 other settings under keyboard besides US. United states-Dvorak and United States international. So I removed them. Also under Advanced Key Settings and Hot keys for imput languages - Switch between input languages was set up to work. I changed this to none. So far it has worked fine. Today is my long day at work so we'll see. Do you think that was it? How would that have gotten changed? I have done some windows updates recently that caused me problems with my display.

Youtube app videos always start in full screen

Is there a way to make the videos in the Youtube app start in normal mode, not in full screen?

Even when the app is in portrait mode, the video starts in full screen mode. I use the ipad in landscape mode and when I start a video I want the video to start with the related content to the right, not in full screen mode.

You need to copy some files and your iTunes folder to the new computer. Do you have a backup of your old computer (or still have the old computer?) Was the old computer a Mac or PC?

Well done to the Air team for the good work done so far, not easy keeping up with Apple on IOS8 at the moment...

I am having simliar issue where I can get the iphone 6 launch image to work but not the iphone 6+ when using [email protected], 2208x1242. Also the stage.fullScreenWidth/Height give 1472x828, which is 2/3 the expected dimensions or 736x414 at scale factor 2, not 3. I hope adobe fixes this soon or we won't be able to launch new games with Apple as it is a requirement to have your apps Iphone 6/6+ optimized. If this isn't fixed soon were pretty much forced to abandon adobe and move onto another software solution that will allow us to build for Apple.
