Qualifying product cannot be found on this computer?

had to reload wiindow and installed Acrobat X Pro.  Entered the serial number in and it asks for a serial number upgrade.  Says I
need to enter a serial number in for Acrobat 7 pro, 8 pro, or 9 pro.  We have only purchased X pro so I don't have a serial number for any of the others.  I have a trial running and it has almost elapsed. I have download Acrobat 9 regular but that didn't help.  Thanks in advance!
Matt

Good day Matt,
As Sabian said, it sounds like you purchased the upgrade version of Acrobat X and not a retail version.  If you do own a previous version, please contact our support staff and they can assist you with moving forward.  Otherwise you'll probably want to return the version you bought and purchase the correct one.
Kind regards,
David

  • Installing 2nd copy of CS5 on a laptop, getting "the serial number you entered is valid but a qualifying product cannot be found on this computer."

    Any help?

That means you are installing an upgrade version.  It is asking you to prove you own an earlier version that qualifies you to use the upgrade version.  Since it cannot finds opne on the machine you need to identify which version you are upgrading from and provide its serial number.

  • Error message " The serial number you entered is valid, but a qualifying product annoy be found on this computer" appears. Unable to reinstall CS5.5 on my macbook pro after Hard disk crashed & was replaced.

Error msg " The serial no you entered is valid, but a qualifying product cannot be found on this computer" appears. Can't reinstall CS5.5 onto Macbook pro after Hard disc crashed & was changed.

It is not clear if you understand what that message is indicating.  It is telling you that you need to identify the older version of whatever CS5.5 upgrade you are installing to prove that you qualify for the upgrade.  This could be CS5, CS4, etc.

    Having a similar issue,
I purchased an acrobat upgrade for my Mac OS 10.7.3. I have the CS4 version and now I wanted Acrobat 10. Entered the first serial number no problem, the second serial number won't allow me to register the product. Even after a reinstall of Acrobat 9 just to verify the serial number was correct. Is there a stand-alone serial number that I am unaware of? I can't find it in the CS4 Design Premium collection packaging...
Gautham K, You make it sound like it's a one or the other when entering the old serial number. On my system you have a dropdown to choose the current version you have currently installed on your machine and then the serial. The "next" button stays greyed out.
Additionally adobe "call back" and "schedule call back" pages are down on the web site currently.

  • Serial number you provided is valid, but a qualifying could not be found on this computer

I want to install Encore from the Adobe CS6 Production Premium that I own but when I enter my password, it says "Serial number you provided is valid, but a qualifying could not be found on this computer". Another user had this problem but it was resolved privatly. How can I use my software?

You are trying to install Production Premium CS6 upgrade version which is asking for previous version of this production.
Fortunately you have the production premium CS5 full version also purchased & registered.
You need to install that serial number ir resrespective of the fact whether it is installed on this system or not.
You can get the serial number in your account of www.adobe.com.

  • Serial number I provided is valid, but a qualifying product is not found on my computer?

Just purchased Adobe XL Standard, and it is saying the serial number I provided is valid, but a qualifying product is not found on my computer?

    HI ,
The reason why you get this prompt is because you are trying to install an upgrade version . I believe as per the conversation you are trying to upgrade from Acrobat X standard to Acrobat XI standard .
During the upgrade , you will be getting the option to enter the serial number twice. The first option when you are entering the serial number is for the actual product that you have purchased ie. Acrobat XI Standard .
The second time when you get the option to enter the serial number is for the previous version ie Acrobat X Standard. SO please enter the previous version serial number at the second prompt.

  • I am trying to Install CS5.5 on a new computer and it is saying my product key is valid but a qualifying product cannot be found.

I have Adobe CS 5.5 with a valid product key (On the original box) but it wont install on my new work computer. This product is owned by my company and has been used in the past on my old computer.
I enter the product key and get the customary Green Check Mark:
I Click "Next" and it displays the screen below. I do not have any CS 5.5 programs installed on this computer. (It is brand new - opened and set up this morning)
I used this disk to install CS5.5 on my previous computer which has crashed and did not need to Upgrade anything. I do not have any other product keys to use for the second box and I have found nothing on this problem in the forums.
Any help is appreciated, I am at a loss.

Never share your serial number in a public forum or other non-private communication.
For the second image you show you need to follow the instructions.
You copy of CS5.5 appears to be an upgrade version.  THis means it was made available at a reduced price because you had an earlier version that you upgraded from.  The second image you show is asking you to provide the information for that older version as proof that you qualify to activate/use the new one.

Bladdy blah it is unlikely your license for Acrobat is multi platform.  This means that you either purchased a Windows or Mac OS license.  You can verify which operating system your registered software license is for at http://www.adobe.com/.  For additional details on how to locate your registered serial numbers please see Find your serial number quickly - http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/find-serial-number.html.

  • Mac os x 10.3 or later cannot be found on the computer

i have a mac g5, but i dont know what OS it is. When i turn it on it just goes to "mac is starting up" and just stays there. but i have a os x Triger disc and when i try to install it it say " mac os x 10.3 or later cannot be found on this computer" i and that i need to have 10.3 or later to upgrade to 10.4. can any one help?

On a G5 (iMac oder PowerMac) you can go up to Mac OS 10.5 Leopard. Unfortunately Apple is actually only selling 10.6 Snow Leopard, which didn't work on your computer. So the best thing is get a used 10.5 full install disc.
Be aware: There are grey installations discs that comes bundle with a new Mac. That disc only works with the model it was sold with. (iMac -> iMac, iMac ≠ PowerMac, PowerBook ≠ iMac ....) So when you buy a 10.5 installation disc be sure it's not a bundled grey installation disc, instead get a separate sold one.
Or: you can have a look if you find the 10.3 install disc, that comes with your G5. Install that 10.3 and afterward update to 10.4 with the drop-in disc you have.

  • IMac G5 (Ambient Light Sensor):Mac OS X cannot be instlled on this computer

I have 3 iMac G5's identical specs. They will not install OS X 10.5, but they ran 10.4.11 just fine.
    Specs: iMac G5 PowerMac8,2
    CPU Type: PowerPC G5 (3.0)
    CPU Speed: 1.8 GHz
    Memory: 1 GB 2x 512MB PC 3200U-30300
    DVD+R (dual layer) 5x read
    - DVD±RW 5x read
    - DVD±R 6x read
    - DVD-ROM 8x read
This fits into the spec required to install OS X 10.5. However, when I attempt to boot from the install disk, erase local disk, erase and format disk using the disk utility, Mac OS extended, Apple Partition Map. I receive message Mac OS X cannot be installed on this computer. At one time I received a message Kernel Panic CPU 0 driver cannot be found for this computer.
I also attempted to install from external DVD±RW DL (non super drive) boots, loads the installer, then same error message. If you need more information ask? Any insight would be appreciated.

As should be obvious by now, your problem is caused by using a model-specific grey installer disk with another Mac model. Not only will it cause technical problems because is it not designed for this purpose, it is a violation of the license that comes with the Mac to use its disks to install the OS or other included software on another Mac.
You must obtain a retail copy of Leopard to install that OS on your iMac G5. You must have a license for each Mac you install it on, either the license that comes with that OS pre-installed on a Mac or the one that comes with the retail copy of the DVD.*
Also note that the grey disks for each Mac you own should be retained, as they include installers for the bundled software that comes with it & a model-specific Apple Hardware Test ("AHT") that must be run from that disk. You cannot easily duplicate the grey disks, in part because the AHT partition is not a conventional boot volume & a disk image file of the entire DVD must be written in a specific way to the duplicate to work like the original.
However, even if you manage to do this, the duplicate still cannot be used with another model, so the only reason to make a duplicate of a grey disk is as a backup for the original.
\* A site license or bulk license also meets this requirement, but you still must obtain a suitable installer disk.
