Query Builder - Find WEBI reports that are using a table
I am trying to find list of WEBI reports using a specific table. This specific table is used in only 1 universe.
Though I could successfully find list of reports that use this universe, I am unable to find drill down further and find the subset of reports using this table/object.
SELECT si_name, SI_KIND, si_id, SI_PARENTID,SI_AUTHOR,SI_OWNER FROM CI_INFOOBJECTS, CI_APPOBJECTS
WHERE PARENTS("SI_NAME='WEBI-UNIVERSE'","SI_NAME ='MyUniverse'")
Is it possible to find the information I am looking for using query builder.
Also, for a given WEBI report I am trying to find the list of report names and the folder they reside in:
Select SI_NAME, SI_ID, SI_PATH, SI_KIND, SI_OWNER From CI_INFOOBJECTS, CI_APPOBJECTS WHERE
PARENTS("SI_NAME='Folder Hierarchy'",
"PARENTS('SI_NAME=''WEBI-UNIVERSE'' ', 'SI_NAME=''MyUniverse'' ')" )
The above query just gives me the folder names. I am looking to find the report names as well the the folder (and preferably the path) in a single query. Is that possible.
Sri,
With respect to your 1st requirement:
In BusinessObjects 6.5 it was possible. However, post BOXIR2 this information could not be retrieved from CMS via query builder. I agree with Jorge Sosua's comment above.
With respect to your 2nd requirement:
The field 'SI_PATH' will retrieve Filestore path(physical path). If you were referring logical path(Public folder path or psuedo-reference path) will you please refer my respone to Kelly Stone at BusinessObjects Query builder queries - Part II , If this may assist you.

Sandeep

How to identify reports that are using a specific universe object?
Any idea how to use BO Auditor or Metadata Manager to identify webi reports that are using a specific universe object or universe prompt in the report SQL?
Hi Samuel,
In case you are using BOXIR2 you can do this by editing the crystalenterprise.webi.xml file.
Replace the CrystalEnterprise.Webi.xml file (Take a backup) with the edited one.
Path where you can find this file- Tomcat/webapps/businessobjects/enterprise115/desktoplaunch/WEB-INF/classes/META-INF/CrystalEnterprise.Webapps/ePortfolio/plugins
Paste the Custom Documentation folder in Tomcat\webapps\businessobjects\enterprise115\desktoplaunch\
May I know your email Id so that I can send you the edited crystalenterprise.webi.xml file.

How to find reports which are using sales tables
Hi Guys,
we are using OBIEE 10g version.Here i need to identify the the reports which are using sales tables.
Table names are given but how to find which report is using these tables.Is there any method to find
or we have to check all reports manually?
Could any one pls suggest me here!
Regards,
sk
Edited by: 912736 on Jun 8, 2012 1:24 PMHi SK,
You can run a report from catalog manager that willl give you all answers requests and the subject area columns in use, you can map these back to the sales tables either manually or by linking (vlookup) to an RPD report that you can run from the Admin tool.
The Usage Tracking method is pretty good but you will have to match up the reports using the Logical SQL.
I'd do both methods and cross ref your results to ensure nothing slips the net.

How to find all oaf pages that are using a table in their VOs
Hello everyone,
I need to findout all the View Objects and Entity Objects that are using a table lets say A. Is there a smart way to find out all the VOs and EO's that are using my table?
Thanks
SunnyTechnically there would be only one EO for your table (if its Oracle code). VOs contain queries and there might be many which refer the table.
One option I can think of is doing a table name search in the various (EO and VO) directories on JAVATOP. Its the XML (99% cases) that would have the queries. Rest 1% having dynamic VOs, it would be difficult to determine.

Hiding reports that are used by dashboards
Hi:
We are using some Webi reports for use in Live Office/Xcelsius. While we want the users to be able to consume the data from these reports in the Xcelsius dashboards (which reside in InfoView as well as on Desktops), we don't want them to be able to see these reports in InfoView. Is there a way to "hide" these reports from the users but still give the users the ability to refresh the dashboard data that uses these reports? Thanks.
-NishantGo to tcode CMOD. In the project field drop down your list there. Put a Z* there and run the list. These should be all the exits that are activated. Search for the ones that pertain to FI. You can also search by development class. You need a little ABAP knowledge to search easily. You get this by going to the tcode then to status then to the program then to the attributes. There you find the development class. Ie FBAS.
pls assign points if helpful as a way to say thanks. -
SQL query to find all suites that are associated with automation
I trying to incorporate CodeUI tests into a Release Mangement deployment template ... As a developer, I want to be able to specify a sub-tree of a test plan & only execute those test suites that are associated with automation. Is there a way to
extract all automated workitems and associated them with their respective test suites?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated!John,
I've partially resolved the issue of executing a sub-set of suites with the following powershell implementation:
1. Extract "potential" suite paths from a XML configuration file:
<?xml version="1.0"?>
<Configurations>
<Properties>
<Property key="DEFAULT" value="SuitePaths" />
<Property key="DatabaseServer" value="MYDBSERVER" />
<Property key="DatabaseInstance" value="Default" />
<Property key="DatabaseName" value="TFS_DefaultCollection" />
<Property key="ConfigurationName" value="US - Windows 7 and IE 10" />
</Properties>
<Notifications>
<Notification key="0" value="[email protected]" />
</Notifications>
<SuitePaths>
<SuitePath key="0" value="MyProject\WebProduct\Student\Features\Login" />
<SuitePath key="1" value="MyProject\WebProduct\Student\Features\Logout" />
</SuitePaths>
<AreaPaths>
<AreaPath key="0" value="MyProject\WebProduct\Student\Features\Login" />
</AreaPaths>
</Configurations>
2. Extract record set of suites from TFS via SQL query:
# FUNCTION: Retrieve-SuitePaths
# Parameters:
# (1.) LogFile -- Name of log file (e.g., C:\Temp or C:\Temp\DEPLOY_DatabaseServer_WebCMS2_DF06_20131031.6.log)
# (2.) Connection -- Database connection
# (3.) Paths -- Hash table of suite paths
Function Retrieve-SuitePaths

[Parameter(Mandatory=$True)]$Connection,
[Parameter(Mandatory=$True)]$Paths
Write-Output '--------------------------------------------------------------------------------' | Out-File -FilePath $LogFile -Append
Write-Output "Retrieve suite(s): " | Out-File -FilePath $LogFile -Append
Write-Output '--------------------------------------------------------------------------------' | Out-File -FilePath $LogFile -Append
$SuitePaths = "("
$Counter = 0
foreach ($Key in $Paths.Keys)
if ($Counter -gt 0)
$SuitePaths = $SuitePaths + ", "
$SuitePaths = $SuitePaths + "'" + $Paths.Get_Item($Key) + "'"
$Counter += 1
$SuitePaths = $SuitePaths + ")"
# --DEBUG ONLY--> Write-Output "Paths: $SuitePaths" | Out-File -FilePath $LogFile -Append

How to find the objects that are used for a particular BEx query
Hi ,
I am preparing the inventory for BEx queries. Means for a particular BEx query I want to know the correcsponding
1. Selection screen variables
2. Characteristics
3. Restrcited, Calculated and normal key figures.
I have checked all the BEx query related tabe but unable to find the proper relation between these tables to get the desired output.
Can you help for table joins to get the output as mentioned above.
Thanks in advance.
Regards,
SaiHi,
you want find the total information about query details use the T CODE - RSRTQ.
give the proper selection then execute.
please find the doc.

Find USERS that are using a particulary Forms ??
It is possibile to find the USERS that are using the a FORMS in application server ??
I must update sometime a forms, but if the user is using the forms it is not possibile. Find the user i can call it for exit from teh form.
Thank's a lot.I'm not aware of such an information somewhere. We had a similar need (actually we needed something more), and we used DBMS_APPLICATION_INFO package, which updates CLIENT_INFO column in V$SESSION.
Bad news are : you have to change every Form to do that....but it's not difficult, you can add a call to that package in WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE trigger in each Form... -
How to find the list of Queries/Reports which are using Exceptional Aggregation in SAP BI?
Hi All,
We are interested to know how to find the list of Queries/ Reports which are using Exceptional aggregation in SAP BI.
Please let us know is there any table's to check the list of reports using Exceptional Aggregation in SAP BI.Hi,
Here you go..
1) Go to table RSZCALC and get list of ELTUID where AGGREXC is not INITIAL and AGGRCHA is not initial; now you get only exception aggregation set based on some chars. Also you can further add STEPNR = 1 since your intention is just to get query name , not the calculation details; this will reduce number of entries to lookup and save DB time for next steps.
Here you will get list of exception aggregation UUID numbers from which you can get properties from RSZELTDIR.
2) Pass list of RSZCALC-ELTUID to table RSZELTXREF - TELTUID and get list of RSZELTXREF -SELTUID - this table stores query to it's elements maping kind.
3) Now again pass RSZELTXREF - SELTUID into same table but into different field RSZELTZREF - TELTUID and get RSZELTXREF - SELTUID
This step you get query reference sheet or column or query general UUID for next step.
4) Pass list of RSZELTXREF - SELTUID into RSZELTDIR - ELTUID with DEFTP as 'REP'. Now you get list of query names in RSZELTDIR - MAPNAME and description in TXTLG.
Note: you can also get the reference chars used for exception aggregation from RSZCALC - AGGRCHA field.
Hope this helps.
Please keep in mind, it might take more time depends on how many query elements you have in the system...

Is there a way to reset BI Publisher Enterprise 11 so that I can use the query builder again instead of having to write out all of the SQL? I know that I can't use the query builder for the dataset that I edited the sql in but I would like to use the query builder for new datasets.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I understand that your iPad is restarting and not responding sporadically. You have already attempted some great troubleshooting steps and I think you are on the right track. Holding the home button is one step that you take while placing your device in recovery mode to restore. This is the method that I would suggest to restore. For complete information on how to place your device into recovery mode, please reference the attached article.

How to find out FICO user exits that are used by User
How to find out the FICO user exits that are used by user.
Go to tcode CMOD.
My macbook pro keeps saying I have 450 gigabytes out of 500 that are used. But when I look on finder there are no files that are anywhere close to that amount. I went through and deleted files from my mac and now I only have 10 gigabytes of additional space free. My mac now says I have 440 gigs of other that is used. But does not make sense, do I have a virus?
Since you have not identified the OS your MBP is using, these extract may or may not assist you.

You may also download from the Internet OmniDiskSweeper (free) and open it it will show all of the files on your MBP and the respective sizes.
