need query to list objects, object type, object description, object hidden property for selected universe

All information about Universes available using Query Builder can be queried like this:
SELECT * FROM CI_APPOBJECTS WHERE SI_KIND = 'Universe'
Information such as objects used, etc, needs to be retrieved through the SDK:
A sample for this exists in the developer library:

It doesn't work with InetAddress it return a single result.

InetAddress will not get you the aliases, but you can certainly find all the different IP addresses for a specific host name using the getAllByName() method.
You won't be able to get the aliases since those IP addresses (assuming there are more than 1) will all be cached as mapping to the name you passed to the getAllByName() method and you can't clear the map cache until the JVM exits.
So your best hope is to get a list of IP's and either exit your app and restart with a new mode, or save them to a file for another app to read.

You can find objects in SNRO transaction.
In SNRO search by giving long text...
for eg., Service .. for service entry sheet. keep the first letter in capital letter only.

   Steps to Create an Object'
1. Goto t-code SCDO.
2. Press Create button.
3. Enter Object name as Change doc. object w/o name space prefix.
4. Press Continue. if you get the following message ..then press Yes.
'Change document object ZJRM is not in your namespace.
   Do you still want to create the object?'
   5. Give the Description for the Object in Text field.
   6 . Enter the Name of the table or tables you want to create the object.
   7. Then press Insert Entries.
   8. Save.

Query Builder - How to create a link between tables with many fields?

I have many fields in my tables. When the query builder loads the tables, the tables are expanded to accomodate all the fields. Suppose I want to link Table A's Customer ID (the first field in Table A) wiith Table B's Customer ID (the last field in Table B). How can I do that if the last field in Table B are not visible in the screen?
Currently, I create a link in Table A's customer with a random field in Table B. Then I edit the link to create a proper condition. Is there a more efficient way to do this?

Hi woro2006 -
Easiest way is to grab Table A's title bar & drag Table A down the page until the columns you want to link are visible.
FYI, there is an outstanding bug

to add a context menu on the field for this. That is, Link {context field} to > {other data sources} > {fields from that source}
It is being considered for 3.1, but I have no idea where it will end up in the priority queue.

The Query Builder list of table names is unsorted. Should it be alphabetical?

We have a number of outstanding issue for the Query Builder. These will not be updated for the next evaluation release. I agree, alphabetical would be a better approach.

Tcode SCDO. You'll need to create a change document for you Z table and then use the FM created to record the changed data.

How to get objects necessary for transporting Business Content?

Hi Experts,
Small ques for u:
I have installed 0FIAA_C11, 0FIAA_C12, 0FIAA_C13 for Asset Accounting in Dev system. Already the previous content 0FIAA_C04 was installed and transported to Quality system.
Now I want to transport new content (0FIAA_C11, 0FIAA_C12, 0FIAA_C13) to Quality. But I guess since already some infoobjects were transported to quality, transport connection wud nt show me all necesary objects.
<b>So how to get a list of all objects necessary</b> so that my req does nt fail while moving to production from quality.(I think req might not fail while goin from Dev ->quality).

I have already applied "Before setting". But the problem is I dont want to transport objects which are not relevant to me, but only those which are necessary for content described in previous mail.
If we check the link provide by you " For activating an InfoSource, InfoObjects may also be necessary which are not contained in the InfoCube and have therefore not yet been collected. However, for these additional objects, the objects that come before them in the data flow are not collected.
" I am worried by about these.Some objects will be missing and some are in addition which are not all required, and we shud nt transport them.How to be sure tht transport will not fail and it is consistent as well?

I want to share one of my issue with you.Hope you will resolve it easily .
I have enhaced standard infotype 0001 to maintain JOB CODE field, i also have maintained the
JOB CODE, JOB CODE DESCRIPTION in one custom table ( ZHR_JOBDISC ) .
I have given farigen key relation between this custom table ( ZHR_JOBDISC ) and PA0001. i also have created one search help and assigned to the Field JOB CODE.
But when i am trying to write the query in SQ01 . i am unable to fetch description.
if you observe the standard fields position (PLANS), Organisational Unit (ORGEH).while writing query if you right click on PLANS will show the description of position, similarly if you right click on ORGEH it will show the description org unit.
but i am unable to get the description of my custom field.
Please give clarification where i am doing wrong ?

Transaction SE24, enter IF_TEXT_IDENTIFIER, Display' function and check
the 'Interface documentation'. Please choose "HR Class" upon executing for Text Recognition.

How to configure objective function for use in minimization?

Hi all,
I have been working on a minimization problem (for details, see this post). I have figured out how to run an unconstrained minimization, but can't quite figure out why my objective function wire remains broken. Here is a screen shot:
Any ideas?
I include below this example main VI, a subroutine that does the minimization, and a subroutine that gets called during the minimization. As it seems I am limited to 3 attachments, I will add some sample data to the first reply that I will generate.

Basically all I did wrong was I created my own function to minimize from scratch. The help very clearly says to copy the template and use that. Here is the function copied into the LV provided template.

How to create Object Links For non standard SAP Objects?

I need to create an object link in cvo1n for a non standard SAP object (inspection characteristics) . we have two ways to do this
1. Create a screen for the rquirement by taking the standard screens as reference.
2. Implement badi document_obj.
I need a step by step process to perform both the steps. Sample codes will be helpful.
One more thing is that i need a link in the standard screens of inspection characteristics also. How to get a two way link both in cv01n and in the standard inspection char screen.

Customizing for the Do cument Management , you must maintain the key fields for the SAP objects that you want to link to document info records, by choosing Control Data ® Maintain key fields.
Process
Program two screens for the following module pools for the SAP object that is to be linked additionally:
u2013 SAPLCV00
u2013 SAPLCVIN
The process logic must be according to that of screen 0204 in program SAPLCV00 and must not be changed.
Create the function module OBJECT_CHECK_XXXX (XXXX = name of the SAP object).
If this object can be classified, this function module already exists in the standard system. Otherwise, copy the existing function module OBJECT_CHECK_EQUI (linking of equipment) and change it to suit the new object.
also you can attach the document to PRT also. but it will not show you in dms. This type of attachment is only from otherside.

In my Application i have to retrieve User Descripton(a field) for the MDM Users from Console. I am using MDM Java Api 1(MDM4j) in my application. Is there any way i can retrieve MDM User Description from Console without using MDM Admin API?

Sorry, I have a different perspective from you (I don't work with the Java API). So, you can ignore what I said about the protocols. That's lower-level than what you would care about.
The correct thing to do is to use the Admin API to get the users, as you are doing. If you have to log in twice, it might be because you're using the old Java API.
Please verify that you're using these packages:
mdm-core.jar, mdm-common.jar, mdm-protocol.jar, mdm-data.jar, mdm-admin.jar
versus the old API, which was called mdm4.jar.

ADF 11g - Query Component - How to set default values for search criteria

I have defined a VO with named query (with 2 search criteria). I created a page and drop a query with table. It works just fine until this point. My requirement is to set a default values for the two search criteria. For example, I have release and category criteria where they are set to use a drop down. I would like to default the values for the drop down when the page is shown up the first time and query the result right away. Is there a way declaratively or I have to create a custom query?
