Query for tasks assigned individually to all members of a user group

I am looking for a query that will allow me to create a list view that will show all tasks assigned to the current user (in the Assigned To field), as well as to other members of the user group that the current user belongs to. The scenario is that we want
a student to see tasks assigned to them, as well as to other students in the class. Each class is its own user group. I have seen a lot of examples where the filter shows tasks assigned to the current user and the current users group - that is NOT what I am
looking for.
For example - Todd (me), Fred and John are members of one user group. When I look at this class view, I should see tasks assigned to me, as well as those assigned directly to Fred and John.
Does anyone have a CAML query for this? I am thinking it would need to include the SPGroup element. Thanks!

Hi William,
I've tried this, but it isn't working for me. Should I chnge the Smart Group, to an ordinary one?
Thanks

is possible to send notification to User A by mail or in UWL notification?. how can we achieve this?
Request Membership for Restricted Room is calling the below mentioned class,
    Name : RoomRequestMembershipCommand
    Value : com.sap.netweaver.coll.roomui.api.uicommands.UIRequestMembershipCommand (Class)
From this class, i didnt understand how the mail (where the action is occuring) sends to the Room Owner.

  • Xellerate sample API for Task Assignment adapter

Can anyone share an example of Task Assignment API adapter (jar file) for Xellerate? Thank you.

    Hi Maria,
    1. When do I need to use Task assignment rule and when task assignment adapter?
Both are for the same purpose i.e., assigning a task/approval task to a person or group. I have never worked on task assignment rule but unless you have complicated logic for assigning a task you can always go ahead with task assignment rule.
    2. Or do I need to use them together?
    Either of them will suffice!
    3. I put the adapter on the assignment tab and it says "Mapping incomplete" How do you map this adapter? (I have to pass user logon somehow)
When you add the adapter to the assignment tab, map button(below the assign button) which is deactivated by default will be activated, you can go ahead and map the variables there!
    Hope this helps.

  • Can I get the members of Domain Users group (AD specific) with JNDI?

    Hi All,
I've found these forums very helpful and full of great information, I've been able to retrieve all members of groups that I search for (from the information on this forum), and get the member's attributes such as email addresses through that.
The question I have is, is there a way to query the Domain Users group, since it's a special group in Active Directory, and retrieve the members of it? So far I have been unsuccessful. Here's a query I found that works on .Net:
    (|(&({ClassFilter})(memberOf={GroupDistinguishedName}))(distinguishedName={G
    roupDistinguishedName}))
I haven't been able to get it to work with JNDI however. Can anyone point me in the right direction?
    thanks,
    Matt

It's not so much that the Domain Users is a special group, it's more that because by default, all users have their Primary Group set to Domain Users, that it appears to behave differently.
So the query that you're trying to execute via JNDI, would be something like:String searchFilter = "(&(objectClass=user)(memberOf=CN=Domain Users,CN=Users,DC=Antipodes,DC=Com))";And of course if everything has been left to defaults, it doesn't return any results.
Similarly if you look at the member attribute of Domain Users, it will be empty.
Assuming the defaults, and every user's Primary Group is set to Domain Users, the following query would return all the user's whose primary group is Domain Users:String searchFilter = "(&(objectClass=user)(PrimaryGroupID=513))";Note that 513 is the Relative ID (RID) for Domain Users.
Now if you set a user's Primary Group to be something other than Domain Users, then the Domain Users group would now have a value
for it's member attribute and conversely the respective user would now have Domain Users as one of the values of their memberOf attribute.
So then your query would be something like:
    String searchFilter = "(&(objectClass=User)(|(memberOf=CN=Domain Users,CN=Users,DC=Antipodes,DC=Com)(PrimaryGroupID=513))){code}
I guess the fundamental question, is why do you need to determine whuch users are members of Domain Users ?
If this is for usie in an application, where the user has authenticated and you are using group membership to make authorisation decisions, perhaps the constructed tokenGroups attribute may be more useful  as it contains the Security Identifiers (SID) for all the groups the user is a member of ?

  • Creating a query for task list operations

    hello all
I checked the forum for similar questions but could not find any.
I am trying to create a task list for the following:
    1) specific plant
    2) generic task list
    3) specific group counter
    4) specific operations type (filtered by control keys)
in the display I also include the dependencies of the operations.
I also need to link the task list to a specific class and extract the characteristics value from the class, based on the task list (I think this is better with infoset: if so, in a second stage).
    I am using tables
1)PLKO and PLPO joined by PLNTY and PLNNR
    2) CUOB, joined to PLPO by KNOBJ and CUKB joined to CUOB by KNNUMfor the dependencies
the results tho, gave me operations that did not exist in the task list so I discovered that there were change masters to the task lists and I added table AENR, outer joined to PLKO by AENNR where I excluded inactive changes.
I still do not get correct results.
I do not get all the active change masters related to a task list, I do not manage to get the task list without changes and also the related operations and dependencies are not correct.
    can someone help?

    Hi alisa,
Onethng was not yet touched upon in the discussion sofar. If you are not getting all the records those should come, then you need to try LEFT OUTER JOIN  between tables by trial. (Trial means LOJ is not accepted on adjacent tables.) I hope you know that the default connection between fields of 2 tables in through INNER JOIN.  You need to right click on this line and select LOJ for making it LOJ. This brings you all the records which are being filtered due to IJ (if any).
Try this, if you haven't done already.

  • What do you suggest me for task "please comment up all database tables"

I have in Oracle 10g database in one schema ca 600 ("business") tables created. Most of those tables don't have comments.
I don't understands most of the tables, and no one does. Can you give me some hints, how i should start to comment those tables?
I just want to put firstly comments to tables, later i will comment columns.
I understand that some tables are with mandatory data to the System, something like table ala "SystemRights" would sound to be with mandatory 3 rows that are needed for System to run up. some tables doesn't contains mandatory data for the System, like ala "UserOptions" which sounds like it contains data that User has inserted for herself, so this data is not important for the System. I could maybe distinguish between tables other way, maybe some other hints are important to clarify the purpose of the table.
Can you suggest something helpful how i should do the commenting of those 600 tables?
If you are amazes that there doesn't exist not much persons who could know the porpouse of the tables, then you shouldn't be amazed, take this as reality.
I won't dig into Java code that uses those tables, i believe there wont be much comments either anyway.

    Should i do so:
    1. run query to get table listing:
    SELECT 'select * from ' || t.Table_Name t, c.Comments, COUNT(*) Over() Cnt
    FROM User_Tables t, User_Tab_Comments c
    WHERE c.Table_Name = t.Table_Name
ORDER BY t.Table_Name;2. From table list take one table into attention.
    3. Run "select * from" to see data of the table.
    4. Now look the data and look the table name and try to figure out what the data represents.
    5. Then open table definition in Tool/IDE to see if table contains FK-columns. Open the tables pointing by FK-keys and to light analyzing of them.
    6. Now look the data of the table again and figure out the porpouse of the table and write it down as table comment.

Bilal, thanks for the nice problem! Another possibility for duplicate checking is to write a small PL/SQL function returning 1 if a duplicate id is found, then equate it to 0: 'Duplicate_Token_Found (p_str_main VARCHAR2, p_str_trial VARCHAR2) RETURN NUMBER'. This would parse the second string and might use p_str_main LIKE '%,' || l_id || ',%' for each id. Anyway the full query (without that) is given below:

  • How do I send an email to all members in a smart group?

I have a smart group set up in messages that I imported from outlook. When I click the + option in the email addy bar, my smart group pops up as an option. Is there a way to select all in the group?

Select them all and drag them to the To line of a new message (or, better, the BCC line). But be aware that most e-mail servers put limits on the number of addresses a single message can be sent to and daily limits on how many different addresses you're allowed to send e-mails to, as spam control measures.

  • SQL Query for members of dynamic group - Need to include Name, Path and Type

    Hello,
I built a custom dynamic group that has all my SQL databases in it using SCOM 2012 SP1.  The group works fine as I can see the Name(ie, Database name), Health State, Path (ie, hostname/instance) and Types (ie; SQL 2005).  Now I'm trying to
build a custom report based off this same information using a SQL query.   I'm no DBA and could use some help.  So far this is what i have
    use
    select
    SourceObjectDisplayName as
    'Group Name',
    TargetObjectDisplayName,TargetObjectPath
    from RelationshipGenericView
    where isDeleted=0
    AND SourceObjectDisplayName
    like
    'SQL_Databases_All'
    ORDERBY TargetObjectDisplayName
This gets me the Group Name (which i really don't care about), database name, and hostname/instance. What I am missing is the Health State and most importantly the Type (ie, SQL Server 2005 DB, SQL Server 2008DB).
If someone could assist me here I would appreciate it. I believe I need to do some type of INNER JOIN but have no idea where the SQL type info lives or the proper structure to use. Thanks

Here's the updated Query for OpsMan 2012 R2:
To find all members of a given group (change the group name below):
select SourceObjectDisplayName as 'Group Name', TargetObjectDisplayName as 'Group Members'
    from RelationshipGenericView
    where isDeleted=0
AND SourceObjectDisplayName = 'Agent Managed Computer
    Group'
    ORDER BY TargetObjectDisplayName

    Hi All,
I am new to ABAP, I need a help ,
I need to select all plants(WERKS) from MARC at Plant/Material level,
then I need to take all sales organozation(VKORG) from T001w,
then I need the company code(BUKRS) from TVKO based on VKORG,
then I need the currency key(WAERS) from T001 based on BUKRS,
Can any one help me in writing selection Query for the same?
    Thanks All,
    Debrup.

    Hi,
Its easy for you if you learn SELECT with JOIN to complete your task. So SEARCH the forum with SELECT statement and you will get a lot of examples using which you can write your own.
If you struck up anywhere revert back.
