Query/Read Interface for API

Is there a query/read interface from the HRMS API's or from the TCA API's?
We are using customers online to maintain data , but I want to have a custom application to view the data.
Obvious choice would be through the TCA API's but I cannot find any Query/Read Interfaces there.
Oracle's Docs seem to say it's possible so could somebody point me in the right direction please
cheers

    I noticed that Kodo 3.3 supports query on interface - is it part of JDO 2.0

    >I noticed that Kodo 3.3 supports query on interface - is it part of JDO 2.0

    Interface with Implementation to do the rest of the staff?We've had querying on interfaces for a long time!
    The Kodo implementation is currently different than JDO 2, in that JDO 2
    requires you to explicitly list your persistent interfaces in metadata, along
    with which classes implement them. Kodo currently just dynamically tracks which
    persistent classes implement which interfaces, and turns any query on an
    interface into a query on the set of the implementing classes.

  • Precautions to be taken while changing the Query read mode in PED system

    Dear Experts,
    I got a task to change the Query Read mode for more No. of queries in Production system directly itself.
    Request you to let me what are the steps to be followed/precautions to be taken while changing the Query Read mode in PED.
    one more doubt regarding this.....If i plan to change the Read mode of Query say Q1, how can i come to know weather the Q1 is executing or not executing by that time.
    Thanks in advance for valuable response.
    Thanks & Regards,
    Ramesh - Kumar

    Hello,
    You can change the query read mode in transaction 'RSRT', here are the steps:
    1) Access transaction RSRT and enter the query name
    2) Select the 'Properties' option
    3) Un-check the 'Info provider' setting next to the 'Read mode' --> This enables you to change the read mode of the query --> Execute
    4) Choose the option 'Generate Report' to re-generate the query program
    Hope this info helps.
    Thanks

  • Authorization in BEx Query Designer: "read only" for definitions of variables

    Hello,
    I`m developing a concept of authorizations for key user who should be able to maintain certain
    objects in the query designer. For other objects they should have access “read only”.
    The users have authorizations  to  design new queries.  They should be able to use existing variables
    (SAP Business Content ( 0*) and customer variables (z*). On this point, I have a problem: in the selection window of the query designer there are only buttons to create, to delete and to edit a variable.
    The user must have authorizations for changing, although he just wants to look for the definition
    of a variable (if he wants to see their basic or global settings before using the variable).
    I can´t find a possibility to switch from “edit” to “read only”.
    The users should only see and apply variables from others (SAP, collegues), but he mustn´t be able to
    change them.
    The user needs the following authorization objects:  S_RS_COMP , activity =02 (change), also
    authorization object S_RS_COMP1. If I give the users only activity 03 (display),
    the user get the message: “display not allowed”.
    Is there any possibility to give a key user the authorization to display all variables with
    their definitions?
    Best regards
    Ricarda Seyb

    Hi raghukan,
    This is may be due to the authorization but still you can check the consistency check for these queries using RSRV.

    Amit

  • API/Interface for Blanket PO Release

    Hi All,
    Do we have any interface or api for Blanket PO release? We searched, couldn't find anything.
    Is there any workaround? we are in the process of automation. Its very urgent.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
    As a specific solution you may use the following packages/function in R11i :
    •     PO_RELEASES_SV4.get_release_num, to get the last release number,
    •     PO_LINE_LOCATIONS_PKG_S3.get_max_shipment_num, to get the last shipment_num of a release,
    •     PO_RELEASES_PKG_S0.Insert_Row to create a release,
    •     PO_LINE_LOCATIONS_PKG_s0.Insert_Row to create a shipment line
    Beware, these packages are not public, so they may potentially be updated through a patch / upgrade.
    As previously said by Sandeep Gandhi, the best solution is to use requisitions, but you need to manage the corresponding setup.

    Xavier

  • Assigning multiple interfaces for Oracle API Gateway (OAG)

    We are deploying Oracle API Gateway to throttle our incoming API requests. We would like to keep the incoming external API requests separate from the internal configuration management so that they go through different interfaces when accessing the OAG server. This is mainly for security reasons so that the external people won’t have access to the interface used by internal operations team to manage OAG. Based on your experience, is there any standard best practice to accomplish this? We were thinking to perhaps use two of the server’s network interfaces with different IPs, one for the incoming API requests and the other for the internal admin management of OAG. But not sure if this is the best way to do what we need. We are aware of OAG's capability to support two separate ports to handle this situation, but would like a more secure set-up that could completely eliminate external access to the OAG management done by the IT team.
    Would appreciate any thoughts on best practices used regarding multiple interfaces for OAG set-up. Thank you. Oracle Marketing Cloud.

    You are on the right track.
    Here is how you can achieve this:
    You can use multiple network interfaces on the UNIX machine and setup networking/routing in such a way that all external traffic comes on on one card and is routed internally via a different card.
    Segregate difference types of services (i.e to be used by external clients vs internal apps) into difference different "Service Groups". Have each of these service groups listen on different port + NIC card (under Listeners, you can define a port to list to list on a specific network address and port instead of *).
    Setup additional protection for services that will be accessed by external clients. Use "Threatening Content " filter to protect your services.
    Setup 2 way SSL for the interface that will be called by external clients. Setup a DN based authorization check if you want to have both authentication and authorization.
    Hope this helps.
    -Thanks,
    Ankit Kumar

    Hi Chaudhary.
    I am not sure I understand your question correct?
    Do you want to set a query to read only so it can not be changed? If so you should be controlling this with authorizations.

    Hi all,
    I am working on SAP PI 7.3.1 SP09. Currently we have interfaces which uses 50200 port. I have created a http destination from nwa pointing to https://....url. So all of a sudden all the interfaces went to error state. After debugging i found that the port 50200 is replaced with 50201which is https port. After changing the port to initial value ie., 50200 all interfaces are working fine except the one which were pointing to https url and they are showing the following error description.

    HI,
    Thank you for your hint. Maybe I just forgot to mention one important fact. We have second SAP Netweaver PI 7.1 which is completely our system. The first one I mentioned in first message is the customer's one. The one we have extra is also connected to MAXIMO and GIS. Settings of this interface is completely same among one thing:
    Patch level of XIAF:
    1. customers SAP PI level is
    Adapter Common Library Version: 1.7.1007.20081105173106.0000, NW07_07_REL (2008-11-07T17:29:47+0000)
    Adapter Application Version: 1.7.1007.20081105173106.0000, NW07_07_REL (2008-11-07T17:30:00+0000)
    2. our SAP PI level is
    Adapter Common Library Version: 1.7.1008.20100215155230.0000, NW07_08_REL (2010-02-15T17:19:21+0000)
    Adapter Application Version: 1.7.1008.20100215155230.0000, NW07_08_REL (2010-02-15T17:19:31+0000)
    Both of them has Axis Version: Apache Axis version: 1.4 Built on Apr 22, 2006 (06:55:48 PDT)
    Also important to mention is fact that same problem happened in our SAP PI, but we implemented last patch of XIAF and it has suddenly started to work. I have suspicion it is somehow connected to this patch. Btw. this patch contains a lot of notes regarding  AXIS framework (i.e. 1435998, 1150375, 1048268), so obviously some bugs of the AXIS adapter has been resolved by this patch.
    What do you think ?
    Thanks

    Try using the outer query for the parameters,
    change,
    subqueryBuilder.getParameter("startDate"),
    to,
    expBuilder1.getParameter("startDate"),
    If that does not work, try the query without the sub-query to determine if the sub-query is the cause.
    It could be a bug with the sub-query, if you can recreate it on EclipseLink you could log a bug, or contact Oracle support.

  • User interface for updating/adding attributes in OID

    Hello,
    I have not done the develop work in OAS10g (web, oid, +) though I have years experiences as DBA in OAS and Oracle database servers.
    I need to develop a user interface for users to add or update the user's attributes such as sn, manager etc.
    The IDM system is working in prod: OAS 10g r2, installed (upgraded to) with infrastructure and oid 10.1.4.3.
    OID: user attributes have been loaded with: CN, UID, mail and etc.
    The requirement
    User interface: an app based Ohttp web 10g
    I'd like the interface works like:
    The user accessing the web interface, is prompted with UID and mail. if the user correctly fills the fields, then will be prompted with the attributes which user can add or update.
    Because I have Not done any development in OAS (web, oid), I need know what skills I need to aquire. ANd how should I proceed?
    I may know the skills would be Ohttp development and OID API (LDAP), but I need these be specific as much as possible.
    Can any point the direction with examples and docs?
    TIA
    GA

    For managing the user related activities (create,update,lock,unlock,delete and so on) through an Web UI interface can be administrated with the Oracle Identity Management Self Service Console (http://infra_host_name:7777/oiddas) which is an inbuild component of OID/OSSO. Please provide orcladmin/<password> credentials for accessing this Web UI.
    ---ABP thanks.
    1) the app for user to add/update the attributes. we cannot give orcladmin to them
    2) though the users as their own can access the oiddas, there are only limit of user info could be updated, which cannot serve the attributes we customized and loaded in OID.

  • SOAP Sender Error - com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception

    Hi,
    I am testing a SOAP Sender Channel using a SOAP Client and getting the following error. I have read almost all the posts related to errors in SOAP Channel and also have checked my URL which is correct. AS mentioned in many of the posts, my url goes like
    https://<host>:<port>/XISOAPAdapter/MessageServlet?channel=:DEMO:SOAP_s_GETLIST&version=3.0&SenderService=DEMO&interface=si_os_GETLIST&interfaceNamespace=<namespace>
    This is the error that I get when sending a message to the interface
    <SOAP:Envelope xmlns:SOAP="http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/">
       <SOAP:Body>
          <SOAP:Fault>
             <faultcode>SOAP:Server</faultcode>
             <faultstring>Server Error</faultstring>
             <detail>
                <s:SystemError xmlns:s="http://sap.com/xi/WebService/xi2.0">

          </SOAP:Fault>
       </SOAP:Body>
    </SOAP:Envelope>
    Has Anybody got this problem before? Is it any problem with the SOAP Adapter itself or with the data that is going in the message? If so, What is the possible solution for this?
    Thanks,
    Rashmi.

    Hi Rashmi,
    I also think your problem is data related.
    Check the response in your SAP PI message monitor (SXMB_MONI) when you trigger a request using SoapUI. It sometimes provides a bit more detail. You design (data types, message types, service interfaces etc.) was done in SAP PI 7 then an Abap Proxy was generated from the service interface?
    Sometimes there is an issue between the XSD data type declaration in SAP PI and the conversion to Abap data types that takes place when a proxy is generated from a PI Service Interface.
    Check the data that you pass in your request, especially those like datetime fields. Maybe even change some of the data type definitions (like datetime) to a string (request & response) & then test through SoapUI & see if you still get the error. Then you can work out how to best resolve it.
