Question about installing a Creative Cloud app on multiple computers.

If I install a Creative Cloud app on Computer A and Computer B, and then I uninstall the app from Computer B, can I then install the app on Computer C?
If yes, are there any special steps I need to take in this process?

@gary0a1 - I assume you are referring to reply 20 by Jeff Wright from May 2012: "Yes you can have both computers turned on and connected at the same time.  As long as you are only using the applications on one computer at a time it is not a violation of the EULA."
A single user can now use the software on two computers at the same time.
See the Creative Cloud FAQ here https://www.adobe.com/products/creativecloud/faq.html under the Getting started section:
Can I use the software I download from Creative Cloud on multiple computers?
Yes, you can use Creative Cloud desktop applications on two computers at once, regardless of operating system, for the individual associated with the Creative Cloud membership. See the product license agreements page for more information.
Hi Ken,
Hoping you could offer some clarification on this.  The current version of the CC FAQ doesn't seem to have same language as before; here's what it says now:
Can I use the software I download from Creative Cloud on more than one machine?
Yes. Creative Cloud desktop applications can be downloaded and installed on multiple computers, regardless of operating system. However, activation is limited to two machines per individual associated with the membership. See the terms of use for more information. Learn how to deactivate a Creative Cloud license on a machine.
...what's more, the Creative Cloud EULA was updated on June 18, 2014, completely replacing the prior one from October 16, 2012.  The new Adobe General Terms of Use reads:
"You may activate the Software on up to 2 devices (or virtual machines) at a time, if these activations are associated with the same Adobe ID for the same individual, unless stated at http://www.adobe.com/go/activation.  However, you may not use the Software on these devices simultaneously."  [emphasis added]
So, is using the CC apps on two systems at the same time actually allowed?  Would it be possible to get a definitive answer or clarification on the previous reply here?
Thanks so much!

  • Message asking to stop CC during reinstall (was:Question about installing Adobe Creative Cloud)

In October of 2013, I tried the 30 day trial Adobe Creative Cloud and downloaded Premiere Pro CC, Adobe Prelude CC, Adobe Photoshop, adobe Media Encoder CC, Adobe Audition CC and Adobe After Effects CC.  After a day or so, I decided to purchase the Student Teacher Edition.  When I did that, I deleted the Adobe Crative Cloud and installed the Adobe Creative Cloud for that wasn't the trail.
Every thing worked for a moment. I was able to add other things or had the option to add, because I could go to the Adobe Creative Cloud.  Then when I was exiting from the Premier Pro CC tuturial, I somehow deleted the Adobe Creative Cloud icon.  Whenever I tgry to download the updates and even re-install th ACC, la warning comes up to stop the Adobe Creative Cloud that is running, so, I can download the updates.
However, I am not able to do so.  How can I re-install the Adobe Creative Cloud and by pass the warningf?
    Thank you

    Hi Reginald,
Please quit Adobe creative cloud desktop app. Open the task manager in Windows or terminal in MAC. Kill below Adobe services and try installing the CC apps again.
    Adobe AAM updater notifier
    Adobe creative cloud.
    Adobe CEF helper service.
Once you end these processes, relaunch the creative cloud app and then try to install the updates.
Let us know if it works.
    Thanks,

  • How many computers can I install my Creative Cloud apps on? May 5, 2012 5:57 AM -- Cloud Busted!!!!

Ok so i was just about to sign up for the cloud... having big problems with the Application Manager not being able to connect to the Interent (???) and re-directed to Customer Service. S aw this question about how many machines one can install on... blown away by Adobe's answer... 2!!!
2?  Two? Deux???  Are you guys for real?  This is 2013... we have many more than 2 devices... the subscription should be for me, not my machines.
I suppose i do notunderstand the meaning of a Cloud based Solution.  Is it me or is Adobe out to lunch on this one?  And b4 the Adobe ppl respond telling me to 'review the licensing agreement' like it the original (locked) post... perhaps it is you, Adobe people, who should review your licensing agreement!!!  I see no reason to pay Adobe for a Cloud Solution now.  It serves no purpose that I can see.  Unfortunate... re-tool it Adobe and get back to me.

    Hi pacman,
You can install the creative cloud apps on as many device as you want, but simultaneously you will be allowed to use only 2 device at a time as per EULA(end user license agreement).
You can contact Adobe support they will let you know more about the creative cloud membership.

  • Lightroom does not show installed in Creative Cloud App

For the second time, I find out there is a Lightroom Creative Cloud update and when I go to the Creative Cloud App, it shows not installed. I have only installed it from Creative Cloud. If I select Install, it installs and works fine. Used to be I'd get a little flag that showed there was an update--no more. Any thoughts?

For me, in CC app LR shows as 'Install" ie. you'd think it's not installed. I'm on 5.6 still BTW, so it really should show in installed as "update" as PS does. Of course LR never actually updates, you get to use up 1GB of your download allowance because they'd like you to have both versions even if you only want the 64 bit, and you run it as an install.
The really brilliant thing about this is you can only "install" that 1GB download on one computer even though it's been downloaded as a separate exe file. If you also want it on your laptop you get to download that 1GB file all over again because it can only be authenticated by CC when it has been downloaded by CC on the computer you want it on. Do not make the mistake of thinking that because you have CC installed on the second computer that using the 1GB file from the first computer and doing the install that your LR will be authenticated by CC after the fact.
It's only been this way for a year, so I'm sure will be fixed soon. I suspect it's something to do with LR being a standalone product that's being 'patched' into CC's auth system. I think I'm going to go back to buying the standalone when LR6 comes out, I rarely use PS.

  • How many computers can I install my Creative Cloud apps on?

You can install the apps available in Creative Cloud on your primary computer and one backup computer, as long as they are not running at the same time. You will have access to both the Mac OS and Windows versions, so if you have a Mac at home and a PC at work, for example, you can install your applications on both. See the product license agreements page for more information.

    Jeff,
Here is a concern I have.  I called sales support yesterday and asked the following questions.   I have 3 computers (1) PC tower, (1) iMac and (1) MacBook Pro.   When I first started using Adobe all the way through CS5 Master Collection I always owned the Windows Box Versions.  I have been waiting for months for this to come out so I could move my workflow over to MacOS X.    Since the Creative Cloud supports both MAC and Windows installs the question I asked was can I install it on both my 2 Mac Computers.  Then if I need to use it on my PC can I simply deactivate and then activate on it for use?
The answer your support person gave was "YES"  So the answer in this topic don't even flow with the answers from calling the 800 number!
So now reading this forum topic I am really confused.   I like many others have definate reasons why I may want to flip flop the machine I am using the software on  (1) I have $4500 worth of AE plug-ins.  $2000 worth of these are platform specific.  So they only run on a windows machine.  Even, though I intend on my primary workflow to be used on a MAC there may come a time when I need to use one of these plug-ins and then would have to switch my activation to the PC to use it.
Another scenario,  Let's face it Apple has not been to keen on upgrading the Mac Pro system's.  iMac's are great but have their limitations with graphics cards, drives, and memory.  So if you go a complicated AE render to do,iIt makes a lot more sense to run it on a PC at this time for me.  So my hope here is I would de-activate one of my MAC's activate my PC then render away.
I like many others completely understand that we are only suppose to operate our software on 1 machine at a time.  I am cool with you checking this.  Other posters have asked what if I forget to turn one machine off leave with my MacBook Pro and then fire it up.  Will I be in trouble?  Not sure how you handle this if you don't have a connection.  But Spotify the music streaming company license their software to me the user.  If I fire up one machine,  Then grab my iPhone and try to listen it turns it off on the other machine.  Apps in the app store like MotionX Drive do the same thing.
I am an Electrical Automation Engineer by day and a Graphic/Video Designer Enthusiast at night.   In all the programming software that every vendor provides they provide a licensing server software service that sits locally within the location.  It manages concurrent licenses, without the need for online connections.  Any computer needing to run simply pulls the license from the network connected license server software service.  When the program is done it releases the license.  The only issues with this is if your license server crashes.  It can be a bit of a headache with support to get your license back.   Others simply have an online site (like Apple) Where you simply log in and de-activate devices as needed.  (Heck even Hulu, and Netflix offer this.)
I think if Adobe wants the Cloud thing to take off then they need to re-evaluate this.  The license needs to follow the user not the device.  The user should have a painless simple way to activate and de-activate their license back to their Adobe ID.

  • Installing my Creative Cloud apps in my new computer: they are trial versions!

I have just purchased a new iMac. I didn't want a Time Machine copy because I wanted to install from zero. When I have opened my Creative Cloud account and got ready to download i've seen something weird:it says TRIAL. And yes, once i have downloaded the app I have been adviced that it is a 30 days trial. How can I fix this, and get my Creative Cloud again?
    Thanks very much!
    Elena

    Manish,
....Nnow I cannot download any copies! Today and after  I understood what the problem was, I signed with the right user/password, but the manager application that has downloaded was the trial one, so it keeps me offering the trial ... although in the website I was reading Download not Try!
So I have desinstalled the manager, restarted the computer....but now it doesn't let me download anything, because the links is not opening. It is linked to aam://SAPCode=PHSP?passPhrase=QEQvN4aDaDX4JaJGYUve8Hj/aho6vAVg5m6Pt8LgJow6JEZuREPC/5BEzqe 0rrC4bGMbiHx6s+uQlJixZe123ozPyeeiYkL+vltlnUqppwH2IcR7oynNHs4bqSp2sdPFN3smSOaStNPXEoqsMH2AO lneR//Z3NqJp8N1h8CsCKA= and nothing happens in any browser ....

  • Why can't I install some Creative Cloud apps on my home PC?

Recently, my employer sprung for Creative Cloud. I've been very happy using it at work. Since I do a fair amount of work from home, it's especially useful.
Or it would be if I could figure out how to install all the software I need. I've been able to install five or six of the apps already (Photoshop, Dreamweaver, and Bridge among them), but I get the following issues:
Fireworks : Hangs at 54% completed for ever and ever. (I waited three hours)
Premiere : Downloads completely, but then says "Waiting..." for ever and ever. (I waited 2.5 hours)
Ironically, I uninstalled my old versions of those programs specifically because CC renders them obsolete. My PC is powerful enough to run this software, but I really don't know how to progress. I tied up my computer the last two nights attempting to install these items and don't have a clue what to do.
Please let me know if there's anything I can do to provide further information, such as pull an error log or what have you.
    Thanks in advance,
    Matt

    Hi Mwarren,
In CC desktop apps, the first 50% is the indicator for status of download and then rest 50% is for install.
It is hard to say what exactly is happening at 54% through CC desktop apps as the installation is happening silently unlike older version where se we can see what process or software installation is happening.
If you could please share the Installer logs then it could help us diagnose the issue,
You can find the installer logs at
    • Windows 32 bit (XP, Vista, 7): \Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Installers\
    • Windows 64 bit (XP, Vista, 7): \Program Files(x86)\Common Files\Adobe\Installers
    • Mac OS: /Library/Logs/Adobe/Installers/
NOTE :- Do not paste the logs here , put it on http://pastebin.com and provide the link here.

  • How do I install my Creative Cloud apps on my new computer?

My old laptop that I had originally downloaded my creative cloud membership on broke. I bought a new laptop and now when I sign into my adobe account online I don't have the option to download any of the apps, only to buy them; even though I have a year's membership and have already paid for this month.

  • As a solo CC member, can I install different Creative Cloud applications on different computers?

I have a PC laptop and work desktop PC that I use for Audition to edit podcasts. I have a Mac at home that I want to use for photoshop (and also install it on my work PC, maybe). So that's 3 computers, but each Adobe application will only be on one (or 2 at most) computers. Does that align with the licensing agreement, or do I have to designate 2 computers for any and all the CC application?
    Thank you,
    Rich

You need to align up to 2 computers for all your Adobe Cloud products.  3 computers violates your TOS.
