Question : is it possible to save the contents of the screen in a graphic object ?

Assume i asked the machine to plot something (for example within the Function application).Is it possible to save the contents of the screen in a graphic variable (GROB ?) for later reference ?

Hi!, EmileG: From connectivity kit, connected to HP PRIME, you can ... Copy Screen opens the Screen Shot dialog box from where you copy or, save an image of  the virtual calculator screen.You can leave this dialog box open as you prepare instructional materials and reports that require screen captures  from the calculator.The Screen Shot  dialog box has the following options and buttons:• Border: A slider bar to give the image a boarder and change the thickness, of the border.• Size: A slider bar that changes the size, of the image.• Capture:  Update  the image, to reflect the current state of the  virtual calculator display.• Copy: save  a copy  of  the  current  image to  the clipboard.• Save: save  a copy  of  the  image to  a file. In  this case, you  can specify a name and location  for the saved  file.• Close: close the Copy  Screen  dialog box.

  • AppleTV 1st Gen has my entire music library loaded however my iTunes library was lost when my external hard crashed.  My question is can I copy the content from the AppleTV 1st Gen back into my iTunes on my iMac?

    AppleTV 1st Gen -
    I have a rather complex music/movie library system, as well as the ability to listen/watch the content throughout my house thanks to Control4 - extra vegetables and other various 3rd party equipment.  I moved my entire music library onto an external hard drive to free up space on my iMac...then my dog got tangled in the cord and pulled the external drive from my desk to the floor destroying the hard drive...(yes I've already attempted to have the content recovered by specialists- no such luck.
    My question is... Is it possible to copy the content from the AppleTV 1st Gen back into my iTunes on my iMac?  If so step by step directions would be greatly appreciated!
    thanks to all
    Tom

    Thanks very much I have contacted them via this. Just hope they respond quickly- rather annoing! Greatly appreciated though

  • CATS - It is possible to change the content of the Rejection e-mail?

    Hi all,
    we are in ECC 6.0 and have implemented CATS.
    Do you know if it is possible (and how!) to change the content of the e-mail that is sent to the employee in case of CATS rejection?
    Thanks and regards,
    Cristiana

    Hello, nice idea!
    I did figure out that the program use text elements, however, one is not allowed to change them. I then raised an OSS note and SAP raplied that I couldn't change the text elements - I really don't like the email that is sent from CATS rejection!
    I really ike the sound of your idea. I am not familiar with translations though. Would you be able to detail it a bit more about how to translate a text element?
    When I get to the text element screen, if i follow menu path Goto > Translation, a screen pops up asking me to chose a Target Language. What should I do then? Select the target language to EN (the original language is EN) ? And then, how do I make sure that the program uses the translated text?
    Thanks a lot for your help!
    Cheers,
    Cristiana

  • Is it possible to save an Event and the informations attached to his medias (favorites, Keywords, Notes) on an external disk where I saved the first version of this Event, without re-copying the all medias on a new Event called fcp1?

    Is it possible to save an Event and the informations attached to his medias (favorites, Keywords, Notes) on an external disk where I saved the first version of this Event, without re-copying the all medias on a new Event called fcp1?

    If they both have the same media, you can just copy the CurrentVersion.fcpevent file.  But then you have two databases with the same UUID, and FCP X will only open one of them.  If you use Carbon Copy Cloner, you can clone just that folder to the external drive, and set it up to only update files that are newer or have changed.

  • Is it possible to send Imessage content on the IPad to the IMAC?

    Is it possible to send Imessage content on the IPad to the IMAC for printing purposes?

    This is a request best asked in the iPad forum.
    But you can press and hold on an iPad Messages bubble.
    You should see (Copy | More...) popup.  Select "More...".
    You will then see circles on the left with the bubble you started with checked.
    Now check all the other messages you want to send to the iMac.
    Once you have all the bubbles you want checked, click on the right turning arrow in the lower right corner of the screen
    You will be able to send the messages to any email address you like.
    Once you get the email on your iMac, you can print it.

  • How to import and make the content of the original PDF document editable and preserves the pdf appearance and retains existing fields and formatting in LiveCycle

    Can someone tell me how I can see my content (artwork and text) after I import  it into LiveCycle Designer ES4?  I like to import and make the content of the original PDF document editable; preserves the pdf appearance and retains existing fields and formatting, then allow me to do the modifications and save it back into the original PDF document with changes. I have tried everything but still cannot see my content(artwork and Text) of my original PDF after importing it into LiveCycle. All I see are is a blank page with the formatting and layout of where my artwork and text should be. I like to see everything if possible so after I make my change I will know how it will look when I save it back into the PDF and open it in Acrobat Reader.

  • Can a Time Capsule be partitioned? Is having a HD mirror the contents of the TC a good safeguard for potential HD/TC failure?

    I have a few questions about the Time Capsule
    I am going to use a 2TB time capsule to do wireless backups of my Macbook, but also manually store files (photos, movies, music etc). Can I partition the TC? I want to have maximum storage for photos, movies etc and only 500GB for the time machine backups. If partitioning is not possible, will old backups automatically delete themselves from the TC as the storage fills up with the other files I load up on there? Or will I have to delete the old backups manually myself?
    Also, as a safe guard, I plan to get a 2TB portable hard rive (Mac & time machine supported) to completely mirror the contents of the time capsule (i.e.. have 2 back ups of separate disks). I understand I will have to plug this into the Macbook each time (to do the time machine backups and add new files), but my question is whether or not this setup is a good way to keep multiple backups, just in case one of the Hard Drives (most likely the TC) dies. I'm quite new to the back up game, but I want to minimise risk (of course) and keep a consistency between the portable hard drive and the TC: I want them to be identical so I don't have files/backups on one HD but not on the other.
    I hope to get some good responses !

    You cannot partition a TC. Not without voiding warranty, opening it and doing it externally.
    Even when you do external partition the TC will throw up disk errors so don't go that way.
    See pondini on ways to control the size of the sparsebundle.

    Time Machine is far more limited than you think..
    You cannot backup the TC.. it is a network drive. It is used as a target for the backup but it cannot be included in the backup. Therefore it is not possible to do what you are planning.. at least without buying another backup software like CCC which does have the ability to backup network drives.
    In many ways the problem is that TC is not designed as a NAS.. which is what you want to use it as.
    It is better IMHO to buy a NAS, if that is what you want.. although most NAS that are TM compatible don't handle TM very well, CCC can. Every NAS made can back itself up.. so you simply have a USB drive plugged in and the NAS keep itself backed up. Buy a decent NAS with mirrored drives and that also helps.. not for backup but protection against a faulty drive.

  • I have one out of five email address's with coxmail that opens with a blank inbox but other browsers show the content of the same inbox

    Question
    I have one out of five email address's with coxmail that opens with a blank inbox. Other browsers like opera or IE show the content of the same inbox. I've contacted cox but they tell me the problem is on my computer. I've used three different anti virus/malware scanners to eliminate all the bugs they can find. I need a firefox guru with suggestions. Thanks, Charles

    You can undo your permission changes. Probably the most relevant one is cookies. Try one or both of these methods:
    (1) Page Info > Permissions tab
    While viewing a page on the site:
    * right-click and choose View Page Info > Permissions
    * Alt+t (open the classic Tools menu) > Page Info > Permissions
    (2) about:permissions
    In a new tab, type or paste '''about:permissions''' and press Enter. Allow a few moments for the list on the left to populate, as this information needs to be extracted from a database.
    Then type or paste ''rcn''' in the search box above the list to filter it to the most relevant domains. When you highlight a domain, you can adjust its permissions in the right pane.
    Any luck?

  • Using an external drive with shared files (iPhoto, iTunes), attached to a Time Capsule, can the contents of the external drive be backed-up to the internal Time Capsule drive? Perhaps a RAID1 mirror to a partition?

    Using an external drive with shared files (iPhoto, iTunes), attached to a Time Capsule, can the contents of the external drive be backed-up to the internal Time Capsule drive? Perhaps a RAID1 mirror to a partitioned Time Capsule? I understand that the Time Machine (software) cannot backup a networked drive (the external) and that Time Capsule (the router/wireless hard drive) does not have its own backup software... so it won't backup the connected drive. What I would like is an alternate solution for having an automated backup of a networked drive. A 2TB Time Capsule has more than enough space for Time Machine backups of my family of Macbooks, so I had hoped to mirror a 500GB external drive (with shared media files) to a portion of the Time Capsule internal hard drive. I assume this would require a partition of the Time Capsule drive. If not, would the sparse file from the various computers being backed up need to be copied to the external drive as part of the RAID1 setup? This seems like overkill for the Time Machine backup, but it would cover the media files.

    The complexity with this idea is the software has to run from a Mac computer on your network.. so you need a Mac turned on, probably most of the day.
    It isn't possible to partition the TC although you can create a image area.
    The software would have to copy the material, that means all files to be copied, go from USB drive, back to the Mac, then back to the TC, and written to the drive. In other words you have just added Network congestion, although a proper incremental backup type software will not actually use a lot of capacity.
    Finally it will be slow.. network drives are slower than internal drives. Well USB connected drive is much slower than the same drive connected directly to the computer.. and if the drive is connected directly to a computer it can be shared with the network.

    Read carefully the speed of the USB drive plugged into the TC.

  • How do I combine my content from 3 external hd's and my 1 Mac Mini to my new Time Capsule (which is connected to my Mac Mini) and not have to use my external hd's again? My Mac Mini wont hold all the content on the external hd's.

    My 3 external hd's are 500GB (total 1.5TB) and my Mac Mini is 500GB (Time Capsule is connected to this). I want to be able to have all the content from all these sources stored on my Time Capsule as if I only had 1 external drive. Is this possible? It is my understanding that when Time Machine backs up my Mac Mini I have to have my external drives connected since my Mac Mini does not have enough space on it to hold all the content on the exgternal hd's. I can only connect 1 external hard drive at a time and I want to get rid of them and consolidate.
    And having to go back in time to search for files on 1 external hard drive and then back in time for the other external hard drive is not the most efficient thing to do. I would like it all in one place.
    Thank you for your help!!

  • How to create a jar having the contents of the jar in a byte array?

    Hi,
    I have a server and client application. My server returns the contents of the jar in the form of byte array to the client on a particluar method call. Now at the client end, i want to reconstruct the jar to be used. How do I do this?
    The server uses the JarInputStream to read the contents of the jar to be returned. I have tried using the JarOutputStream, but looks like this works fine if we have spearate class files to be added to the jar. Now that I have the contents of the jar itself, how do i recreate the jar?
    Can anyone please help me with this?
    Thanks
    Rajani

    Have you ever gotten the raw byte copy to work? If so, how?
    I download a jar via InputStream and save into a jar file via fileoutputstream. It always gets corrupted in the process. The new Jar file has the exact same number of bytes, but doesn't get past the Manifest on a -tvf. In fact, Winzip can open it fine, but can't extract. So close...yet so far.
    Here is a snapshot of my code:
    BufferedInputStream data1=new BufferedInputStream(con.getInputStream());
    DataInputStream data=new DataInputStream(data1);
    StringBuffer buf=new StringBuffer();
    try{
    while((theChar=data.read()) != -1)
    { buf.append((char)theChar); }
    } catch (Exception z){ logger.info("UpdateThread.read Done Reading jar file");}
    data.close();
    File newFile = new File("C:/MyJar.jar");
    FileOutputStream outstream2 = new FileOutputStream(newFile);
    DataOutputStream outstream1 = new DataOutputStream(outstream2);
    BufferedOutputStream outstream = new BufferedOutputStream(outstream1);
    byte [] bytes = buf.toString().getBytes();
    logger.info("Bytes of new Jar file = " + bytes.length);
    int i;
    for(i=0;i<bytes.length;i++){
    outstream.write(bytes);
    outstream1.close();
    outstream.close();
    Any ideas where I'm going wrong?

  • Error message: "iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPod."

    I wanted to get my dad a new iPod for Xmas and transfer all his music from his ancient Classic. But when I connect to my MacBookPro, I get the error message: "iTunes cannot read the contents of the iPod." I see that 90% of the ipod drive is used, but I don't see any songs listed either on the iPod screen or in iTunes, which is worrying. Is there anything I can to save the music? He will be so upset that it's all gone...

    My suggestions, when Restoring the iPod.
    Disconnect your PC from Internet. (just to make sure no nasties creep into your system while you syncing.
    Stop the Antivirus program
    Connect your iPod to the PC, using a high speed USB 2.0 port at the back of your PC.
    Disconnect all other USB devices, except the mouse and keyboard.
    Stop all other programs except iTunes.
    Good Luck!

  • If I have to format an external hard drive to make it Mac compatible, will it delete all the content in the external hard drive?

    If I have to format an external hard drive to make it Mac compatible, will it delete all the content in the external hard drive?

    As others have said, the answer to your question is a big YES.  Formatting a drive will delete everything!
    To keep your data, yet reformat the drive for optimal Mac compatibility, you will need to:
    1) copy your files to a different hard drive (I would recommend two different locations if you value your data)
    2) repartition/format the external drive
    3) then copy the files back to the external.
    You haven't given details but if you need the external to ONLY be compatible with the Mac (and no longer care if if can be read by Windows), then you will want to partition the drive using the GUID partition scheme, and format as the (HFS+) "Mac OS Extended (Journaled)" filesystem.  You can do so using the built-in "Disk Utility" application on your Mac (in the Applications/Utilities directory).  Here are instructions:
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ph5845
    If you need the drive to be compatible with both Mac and Windows computers then please post that so someone can recommend a solution for your specific needs.
