  • How to pass PARAMETERS to FORMS while calling them through URL

    Hi,
    I am working on integrating EBS with OBIEE as per the doc id 552735.1(metalink2)
    In the Document, Oracle had given an example for genating the URL in OBIEE as follows,
    SELECT
    HEADER_ID,
    fnd_run_function.get_run_function_url(
    CAST(fnd_function.get_function_id('ISC_ORDINF_DETAILS_PMV') AS NUMBER),
    CAST( VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.OLTP_EBS_RESP_APPL_ID) AS NUMBER),
    CAST( VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.OLTP_EBS_RESP_ID) AS NUMBER),
    CAST( VALUEOF(NQ_SESSION.OLTP_EBS_SEC_GROUP_ID) AS NUMBER),
    'HeaderId='||HEADER_ID||'&pFunctionName=ISC_ORDINF_DETAILS_PMV&pMode=NO
    &pageFunctionName=ISC_ORDINF_DETAILS_PMV',
    NULL) as ORDER_HEADER_ACTION_LINK_URL
    FROM OE_ORDER_HEADERS_ALL
    But this one navigates to the JSP page of sales orders. Its working fine,
    h3. Problem :_
    If i want to navigate to Oracle forms(say Sales Orders),
    i'm able to navigate, by giving the 1st param as '5522'(Sales order Form ID(ONT_OEXOEORD)) and 5th parameter as NULL.
    The 5th parameter is used to navigate to a particular record.
    But i dono how to pass the parameters to this particular Sales Order Form..!
    (like here they hav passed HEADER_ID in a particular format)
    {I guess, this might not be understood totally with this given data here, but i don want to make this post too big.}
    CAN ANYONE PLEASE TELL ME, HOW TO KNOW THE FORMAT OF THE "PARAMETERS" TO PASS(WHILE GENERATING URL)_WHILE CALLING AN ORACLE FORM.._
    Thanks in Advance..!!

    Hi,
    In addition to the above...
    if i give the 5th parameter as, 'HEADER_ID=||'header_id { in runtime it'll be converted as 'HEADER_ID=5432..}
    I'm not getting any error, getting a fresh Sales order page..!! { The given Header ID is ignored }
    else if i give something like 'HEADER_ID=||'header_id||'&FunctionName=ONT_OEXOEORD...' { lets say }
    its throwing the following errors..
    FRM-47023: No such parameter named G_QUERY_FIND exists in form OEXOEORD.
    FRM-40105: Unable to resolve reference to item PARAMETER.G_QUERY_FIND
    FRM-47023: No such parameter named ORDER_NUMBER exists in form OEXOEORD.
    and then it shows up the Navigator.
    Requirement :_
    How to pass parameter to a form while calling them through URL.
    Thank you,

    Regards,

    As I stated in my previous post, there is an issue with the BPEL process not responding back to ESB in a timely manner.
    Unfortunately I don't have your process infront of me so it will require some thinking on your behalf to undersatnd how and why this may be happening.
    Things to ask yourself.
    - Is the data getting past correctly from the ESB to BPEL
    - What happend to the BPEL process that the ESB called
    - Is the ESB calling the BPEL process you are expecting, check server, and bpel versions
    - What does the opmn or domain logs say
    cheers

  • CNTL_ERROR while calling an FM through WebDynpro

    Hi All,
    I'm using an function module for rejecting PO through BDC for Transaction - ME29N  using call transaction method. Function module works well on R/3 System , but while calling it in WebDynpro it throws an CNTL_ERROR . What could be the problem , one more thing is the CALL TRANSACTION method works well for F-63 in webdynpro which i have created , but not for ME29N . Helpful answer will be appreciated .
    Thanks & Regards,

    That question is a bit off topic for this forum and this thread.  Generally you don't create an enterprise service if you want to update standard SAP data.  You would instead call one of SAP's delivered enterprise services - the whole process is very similar to how you would use a BAPI.  In fact if you can find a BAPI for the particular data object, feel free to continue to use that.

Gone through the below link, but no help.

    The details/ID in NWDS Service Reference must exactly match the SOA configuration. Sometimes it's possible you have changed the reference or the group itself and something changed to become mismatched.
    It's possible they don't match - but the SG itself will show green in NWA since the service exists and responds on the target system. Does the ID listed in the error match what is shown in the NWDS project?

  • Error while calling BAPI_PARTNEREMPLOYEE_CREATE BAPI using JCO

    Hi All,
    Our requirement is to create and update customer contact details from java application. For this purpose we are trying to call BAPI_PARTNEREMPLOYEE_CREATE BAPI for create contact and BAPI_PARTNEREMPLOYEE_EDIT for updating contact information. As these BAPIs are of online version, error is coming while calling these BAPIs.
    So is there any way to call these BAPIs through JCO or are there any alternative BAPIs available for same purpose?
    Thanks in advance,
    Arati.

    Hi,
    All the bapi or function module available in SAP to create contact person will internally do a call transaction to VAP1 and VAP2 tcodes in order to create or change contact person respectively.
    We had a similar problem when we were creating and updating customer contact person using inbound idoc. We then created a bdc recording for the same and then created two function module with name Z_CREATE_CONTACT and Z_CHANGE_CONTACT. In your case you can make this function modules as RFC enabled FM and call them using JCO I guess.

  • Initial load of articles through ARTMAS05

    Hi Retail experts, I need to built IDOCs to perform the initial load of articles through ARTMAS05.
    Although we tried to use an IDOC from a DEMO system as template, we couldn't get a successful IDOC so far. The Function module we are using is BAPI_IDOC_INPUT1, with IDOC type ARTMAS05.
    Does anybody has a guideline to set this up?
    Thanks in advance.

    I would welcome Bjorn's input on this, but, generally I accomplish this using LSMWs. I use SWO1 to explore the business object, but use LSMW (Legacy System Migration Workbench) to mass load. In the case of LSMW, you simply call the transaction LSMW.
    - From here, define a project, subproject and object. (Eg: Project = INITLOAD {initial data load}, Subproject = LOMD {logistics master data}, object = ARTMAS {article master}).
    - Maintain the object attributes. Here, you can chose from four options: standard/batchinput, batch input recording, Business Object Method (BAPI) or IDoc. Choose the Business Object method, use object BUS1001001 and method CLONE.
    - Define your source structure. Here, you will lay out what the input file's STRUCTURE is going to look like (not the fields). Since it's ARTMAS, it's not realistic to put all data into a single row in a text file, so you will likely use a structured input file - especially for variants, site-specific and sales-org-specific data.
    - Define your source fields. Here you will define the fields that are in your input file and assign them to your input structure. A lot of work goes into this step. Note - I would try to use names very close to the SAP names, since there is an automapping tool. Also, you can copy SAP table structures into your field structures which is very helpful if you plan to use say 75 - 80 percent of the fields of a particluar structure.
    - Maintain structure relations. You will assign your input structures to the corresponding ARTMAS structures in this step.
    - Map the fields and maintain conversion rules. Here you assign your input fields to the ARTMAS fields. Also, you can code ABAP in this step for conversion/translation purposes. It depends on your chosen ETL or ETCL or ECTL or CETL methodology (E = Extract, C = Cleanse, T = Transform, L = Load) on whether you will write ABAP conversion rules in this step.
    - Specify input files. This is where the data resides in it's text file input format. Typically, you will use a small data set that sits on your PC to test it, and then for a mass load, create a server-side directory on the SAP server, place the input file there, and you can use it. This speeds processing for large files considerably.
    - Assign files. Here you assign the previously specified input file to an input structure
    - Read data. This actually reads the data so that you can see how it's going to come in.
    - Convert data. This creates a psuedo IDoc. It is not an IDoc yet, but in IDoc format.
    - Start IDoc generation. This converts the converted file into a true IDoc.
    - Start IDoc processing. Here, your IDoc moves from 64 status to (hopefully) 53 status.
    Well, I hope this helps, and I would be interested in Bjorn's input. Also, Bjorn, what did you mean by the WRKKEY comment? I've never heard or seen a reference to this.

  • Specifying queue name in SOAP sender channel

    Hi
      We are on XI 3.0 SP18 - I have a requirement in which a soap webservice exposed out of the XI box - is to be called in an asynchronous mode - the webservice posts - document onto R/3 using an ABAP server proxy.
    Now, there is also a need to post documents onto R3 - by serializing through an object key - material number ( say updates to a material ). I saw that there is a queue name in the soap sender channel setting when I choose eoio - qos . Is this queue name static ?
    Also, any suggestions on how I can serialize the calls to the webservice based on an object key ( material number is supplied by the soap client ) all the way to R3 ( I am using a ABAP server proxy on the R3 side )

    Ravi
           I am looking for way to specify a non-static queue name here - so that I could establish a queue based on an object key from the source - web service client all the way to R3 - I wanted to know the options available on specifying the queue name in the communication channel -
    Thanks...

  • Issue while calling COBOL program from Component Interface in PeopleSoft HRMS 9.2

    In HRMS 9.2, I am facing problem while calling the remote call function through component interface. In GP_ABS_EESS_REQ (Navigation Main Menu > Self Service > Time Reporting > Report Time > Absence Request) component, we have “Forecast Balance” button as shown below:
    This button checks for eligibility for leave being applied. While using component interface, it executes FORCAST_PB field change event peoplecode which contains a remote call to a cobol program as below:
    RemoteCall("PSRCCBL", "PSCOBOLPROG", "GPPOLRUN", "NET_RETURN_CD", &NET_RETURN_CD, "NET_TXN_ID", &NET_TXN_ID, "NET_TXN_NUM", &NET_TXN_NUM, "NET_MSG_ID", &NET_MSG_ID, "NET_MSG_PRM_CNT", &NET_MSG_PRM_CNT, "NET_MSG_PRM1", &NET_MSG_PRM1, "NET_MSG_PRM2", &NET_MSG_PRM2, "NET_MSG_PRM3", &NET_MSG_PRM3);
    I am getting following error while executing it via component interface:

      After commenting out this line of code, I was able to save the CI successfully. But I need to execute this statement before saving CI so that I can check the eligibility for leave being applied. Can anyone help me on this issue?

    When I tried to read the file using `CAT -vt <filename>`, I could see that the file contains special characters such as ^M and ^I. This may be because of the file transfer mode(but I transferred in ASCII mode, still the special characters where appearing).
    I opened a VI editor and pasted the same script. Save the file, tried to run the script, It was working fine.
    I still didn't get how the special characters appeared. I used notepad++ as my editor.
