Queue up But Not Publish Blog Entries?

Is there any way in iWeb to queue up blog entries but not publish them until their designated dates?
For example, say I prepared blog entries for the month ahead. When I publish my iWeb site, these will all be published with future dates on them. Is there a way to not publish individual entries but still have them ready to publish when their dates come up?
Also, is there any way to adjust the number of blog entries that appear on the main blog page?

Their "chameleon" template is very similar and allows you to create a link back to your site. Its freeware and they now offer you free server space too!
You don't have to use "Made on a Mac" (or any other stuff) - just delete it and add your own footer with your copyright information.

Reverse changes made but not published

I’ve made three calls to Apple Care tech support who give me the IWEB support people but I’m not getting a satisfactory answer to my question. I built a nice little website for my pet sitting business using the IWEB application and was happy with it. But everyone complained I was not being found in any search engines and that I had to bypass the IWEB application and use an SEO tool to add “key” words into the script.
I started out OK, but couldn’t do the whole site in one sitting including updating all the links etc., so I saved but DID NOT publish. I now no longer want to try and bypass the IWEB app because its just too confusing to me to try and make minor changes when I want to regarding the content and now the links are all screwed up because I was instructed to bypass Apple’s navigation bar and put in one with the SEO tool. Anyway, my question is, how can I revert back to my original site (which appears to the public) but not on the IWEB files I have to work with on my computer?
I saved copies of the site before I tried to change it, but the Apple people say that the HTML files are gone and can’t be retrieved because I don’t have a copy on my IDisk anywhere. Not sure what that is. Other than starting from scratch and building an entirely new site, is there anyway to retrieve the html files from what I saved and be able to just copy them back into the IWEB application? I am a major computer dyslectic when it comes to understanding all this stuff, so I’m totally confused and would appreciate any help you can offer.

No — only iWeb's Domain file can be opened in iWeb. See this Apple doc on How to back up MobileMe data. It says:
“Any websites you have published with iWeb should still be available within iWeb. iWeb stores everything in a Domain file, normally located in the ~/Library/Application Support/iWeb folder (although it can be moved). If you no longer have this file, you can view your currently published pages and manually recreate them within iWeb, but *there is no way to import published pages back into iWeb*. You can manually back up the Domain file, or use Backup to back it up.”

Not using Blog Entry as part of the URL

hi all,
When I publish my iWeb site containing a blog to a folder, I noticed that some of the folder is using my bolg entry/topic as part of the folder name.
Is it possible to get iWeb not use this.

Mails shows picture of Addressbook entry but not for LDAP entries

We have a LDAP server working nicely in the company, its integrated into Addressbook and works well when composing new mail.
But... for incoming mails, Mail.app does show the picture of the sender IF AND ONLY IF the server has a addressbook entry. Thats nice, but does not work for LDAP entries.
I would really appreciate Mail supporting to retrieve pictures from LDAP as well (e.g. querying it with senders email address) - does anybody a plugin for Mail.app supporting this or will Apple support this one day?

I have experienced this and it was because I removed the placeholder and just added the image on the entry page. I duplicate blog entries and delete content to add new stuff so don't have to reformat every time, if you do that don't remove the image just add on the top - it should replace the previous image. Hope this helps, it is frustrating at times but the more you learn the easier it becomes.

Host site won't publish blog entries

I am fairly new to iweb and have created a site that is hosted outside of iweb. The site was working fine until I added a blog page. It will link to the main blog page, but from there it won't link to the entry pages when I publish it. Anyone know why or how I can fix this? Thanks!

Developing but not publishing

I have Adobe DPS Professional version and I have a client who want to hire my agency to design and develop an App, but they want to publish it.
They are already Apple Developers. Is that possible?
I have read that I need Enterprise version but it is nonsense because I have many clients that want to publish by themselves.
If I put my client's certificates in my Adobe DPS and I compile the App with them... is that t possible to give them the App ready to publish?

HT1296 I have been able to sync my contacts & notes on Outlook to my iPhone - but not my calendar entries! Nothing is going in - what's up?

Contacts & Notes went in just fine. Calendar didn't go in at all and I had it selected the same as the others. Is there a setting I need to change in Outlook to make this happen?

I had this problem in January - at least that is when I first noticed that items I put in my calendar in Outlook 2010 version weren't showing up in my iPhone 5 or iPad 2. Spent much time with Apple Support and technicians. They found that for some reason, when a reminder of 0 minutes was in the reminder box, it caused problems. I don't use reminders at all. However, I believe that because my Outlook is also linked to Plaxo, new contacts with birthdates show up in Outlook and create a 0 minute reminder that may be the cause of my problem. I went through my past 6 month calendar and through the next year and looked and changes all reminders to None and that fixed the problem. I believe this problem began occurring after an Apple IOS6 update in December. Wish there was a way to turn off the reminder block in Outlook. Hope this helps.

Blog entry error message

I have posted 21 articles in a blog, and all appear on my site except the first one -- I get an "Error 404 Not Found" message.
iWeb put this entry and the second entry into the same folder. The second entry and all the other entries work, but not the first entry. All the other entries are in their own separate folders. I tried moving the first entry to a new folder on the FTP site, but my ISP tech guy said the site is made to pull content out of the folders that iWeb made, so I can't just move stuff.
So how do I get iWeb to do this properly? I tried re-publishing the site, but I get the same result.
I can't seem to find a link for this type of Support on Apple's web site, and I don't think phone help covers software -- or am I wrong?

It's been going on and off for me today and the only thing that has worked for me, is to keep trying. Close down iWeb, open it up and try again...and again. Eventually, in my case anyway, it works. Unfortunately, then it breaks down again and the cycle repeats.

Workflow Start "Failed But Not Blocking Correlation" - Project Server workflow for Demand Management

Using native iWeb to create an index of blog entries

While not entirely what I had in mind, by linking together pages that themselves have internal links to my blog entries, I have created a passable blog index. My site is still new, but as I blog more material, I wanted a way to group the pages by categories. The top down blog archive that is provided out of the box was just not going to work for me.
This approach has an added benefit. Since the pages from the index are linked via html, the blog pages can be found via the google sitecrawler engines. (note my home page directory is also html rather than the native iWeb index). I use a sitemap already, so this feature is not terribly important to me. But it might help you if you haven't sorted out sitemaps yet.
This does require that I update the index page(s) every time I add a blog entry.

...Problems with iWeb's blog are a recurring theme on these discussions as it's not a serious blogging platform. And with multiple iWeb blogs within your site, you're multiplying your chances of having problems. Also, as you add entries to your blog(s), opening your site in iWeb and backing up its Domain file will become slower and slower. Plus, when you eventually have to re-publish your entire iWeb site, you may have a long wait for the upload to finish.
The following old thread was started by someone who suspected iWeb's blog would not be robust enough and, like Nitsa, wisely built their blog in WordPress:

As mentioned there, some of WordPress's themes provide tabs — which you could use to categorize posts, e.g.

SAP workflow not published / not reaching default outbound handler

Hi,
At Velocity event (october) we had a SAP ERP workflow configured for publishing to SharePoint; after triggering workflow instances, an XML payload document was successfully published to SharePoint.
Now, in the same environment; without changes on Duet Enterprise config level, publishing of task changes of that same workflow no longer publishes into SharePoint.
We executed the report jobs OSP_DELTA and OSP_FULL to make sure that the sync from SAP to SharePoint would be done / task changes are notified. The SAP workflows are delivered into the SAP inbox; but not published to SharePoint.
We added a breakpoint (internal + external) in the default outbound handler S_OSP_WF_PAT_DEFAULT_CH_OB; it is not invoked when we reach the workflow decision step that is published.
We inspected the SCL Logs, but didn't find any relevant log entries.
Any clue what can be wrong here; where to start with the problem analysis?

The error 'Users not maintained...' appears to be caused due lack of SAP permissions of the SAP account that is executing the report S_OSP_WF_ITEM_SELECTION; with another account we succesfully pass the 'GetNotifications' calls within that report; and actually now do get into the default outbound handler.
But still no task document published into SharePoint; the default outboundhandler faults on Send Action item; error details:

Can preview, not publish

I am using Captivate 4 on Windows XP. I have several cp files I am working with. All publish to swf except one. This one file allows me to preview, but not publish. There is no error message generated. I click the "Publish" button, the mouse pointer turns into an hourglass for a few seconds and then nothing happens...have waited 10 minutes without a response.
I have tried:
publishing to swf, exe, avi, etc
turning off compression
importing slides into blank presso
having user on different machine try it
I am at wits end, so any help is appreciated!

Are we to assume the Publishing Process failed for the user on the other machine?
Assuming the answer to that is yes, I might surmise that the only real option left is to create a new blank project sized identical to the first. Then copy the slides from the errant project to the fresh one and publish from the fresh project.
You should also report this as a bug to Adobe.

Iweb blog entry names?

On website address shows numbers not a blog entry title anyone knows how to resolve it? Tried to delete spaces between the words but it didn't helped me?

i don't blog on the website i have, but one way to do this is to upload everything.
Alternatively, you could see what is different from what is on the FTP server and upload that.

Processor not publishing the output

     I have just installed OCEP in my eclipse IDE and ran the helloworld example, it is working fine. While playing with the example, I have changed the code of the helloworld example as has been suggested in the following link

     when I changed the code as shown in the figure by adding the highlighted part which is supposed to display hello world message every 5 seconds. The server is starting well but not publishing the helloworld messages every 5 seconds. Any suggestions in this regard is appreciated. I thought the problem is with server start time and so changed the server start time to 500 seconds, but it didn't help.

            thanks for your reply. I first tried the Deploy and Run default application -> 2 according to which I added where message like “[0|5] [A|P]M$” to the query. It is not printing any hello world message every 5 seconds as has been mentioned that step. However I also tried the Deploy and Run default application -> 3, and Deploy and Run default application -> 4, the problem still persists but the basic helloworld example is able to print helloworld messages without the above mentioned modifications.
