Quick Launch Desktop get stuck when scrolling Mavericks apps

Is just that, when scrolling horizontally to go to my other apps in the quicklaunch desktop, it get's so stcuked, that event splits the screen in half icons from the left side, and half icons from the right side. Anyone? (MBP 13' mid 2012)

I may not have explained exactly...so basically when i go to the main desktop screen, and open a program or use the dock, it sometimes gets stuck in show mode. Then when i go back to the safari full screen app for instance, the dock stays up, with the latest program highlighted. In order to get the dock to go away, i need to go back to the desktop and hover over the dock again for it to hide.
I really hope someone else is experiencing this because its very annoying and I want apple to fix it quickly

Spotify's Windows Phone app is embarrasing. I received "support" from them a couple of weeks ago regarding this issue on Twitter. While they were resposive, they simply suggested the "uninstall, reboot & reinstall" trick. That worked for about 24 hours, then nothing but dots for the songs in my playlists - after they take forever to load up. Those same playlists load instantly on my iPad. Spotify - Sure, the Windows Phone market isn't huge compared to your iOS and Android customer base. However, by releasing an app that gives the user - paid users (like me) - a horrible experience, you will lose those customers to an alternate service. Because of this lack of support and caring, I will likely move my paid subscription (and my two family memebers) to a different service that works properly on ALL devices. I've recently stumbled on an article on how to view the packaged file (apk) published using AIR 3.2 for Android setting (Adobe Flash CS6). All you need to do is change the extension of the file from (.apk) to (.rar) or (.zip) and extract the file as you would with any other zip or rar file. I was able to confirm that the packaged file (apk) indeed contain all the videos for the presentation. I have more than 80 videos in the presentation. All videos included in the package are of the same video format and resolution (FLV 320x240) but of different duration. I intentionally included the all the videos inside the package so I can use the presentation anywhere and anytime without the need to connect to the internet. The packaged apk file size is (1.23GB) the file includes the project's swf and xml file, the component swf and videos.
When installed to android I noticed that the package remained as an apk file. Not really sure if android temporarily unpacks it when you run the app.
Testing phase:
I see no problem when I'm testing the project on my desktop computer. But when packaged and installed on my device the problem arise.
Problem:
I'm able to install and run the app on my device but wont play some of the videos included in the package.
Was this due to the limited RAM or processor of my android device?
I wanted to distribute the presentation to friends so i was trying to package it for easy access and installation on their device.
Alternative Solution:
I installed a third party app called SWF player by BIT LABS. Copied all the files to my device (the project's swf and component swf with the videos). The project worked like a charm the player (SWF player) and was able to run the presentation as if it was running of my desktop. All buttons and videos working properly. Although the alternative solution worked for me I still wanted to package the presentation for easy access and distribution to friends.

Ipod gets "stuck" when rating songs

My ipod will repeatedly get "stuck" when I rate a song. Hitting the middle-button only scrolls to the rating option again. It sometimes take 4-8 times hitting the middle-button to get it to get un-stuck. My ipod also crashed on me within 2 months of owning it. Could this be indicative of some sort of data corruption or lurking problem waiting to crash my ipod again?

Mouse getting stuck in scrolling function in scroll boxes

Hi, as the title says, occasionally the cursor gets stuck in scroll mode, where i can't move the cursor independently, the window just scrolls when i move the trackpad up/down. This only happens with the trackpad on my macbook, but when i use a mouse, there aren't any problems. I'm guessing it's just a function I don't know about that I accidentally activate, but I can't find it!

Try going to System Preferences > Keyboard & Mouse > Trackpad and then unclick "Ignore Accidental Trackpad Input." That might fix your problem. It fixed mine when the same thing was happening to me.

EDIT: Just beware that it WILL pick up "accidental trackpad input" when you turn that off. So when typing, try not to get your hands too close to the trackpad.

Why do i get hesitation when scrolling

When using Safari, after a while, I get hesitation when scrolling, and also when typing, or doing almost anything. If I restart, everything is fine for a finite period of time. Then it gets "sluggish" again. Why is this? How can this be remedied? Thanks for any help you can give.

Ok, solved-ish. There were actually 3 issues:
1. There's a problem in the 0.6.18 new python paraminko ssh internals that was preventing it from uploading more than about 1GB at a time, possibly because it's reusing the same ssh connection which some webhosts will kick off after a certain time or amount.
2. The --num-retries parameter wasn't being read by the ssh backend
3. There's a bug in some encryption validation code that had to be removed before a 'resume backup' operation would work correctly (it won't read the GPG encryption key correctly).
So I reverted to 0.6.17 and removed a previously applied patch from the code found here.
So far it seems to be working. The dev who answered me on Launchpad said that there's a memory leak with 0.6.17 so watch out when doing any backups over ~100GB or so.

It's not supposed to. You need a newer device to use applications which require iOS 4.3 or above.

I've noticed since yesterday when I bought my new IPod Touch my ITunes on my computer gets stuck when it can't find the album art for some music I have. It gets to that album and won't do anything, won't let me skip it or anything ... Anyone else having similar issues and if so any workaround?

It's me again!
I think I've located the problem (at least in my case). I use a ringtone program called iToner 2 and that is what's apparently causing a conflict and syncing issues with my iPhone. I installed my ringtones from iToner 2 and the sync issues re-occurred. After deleting my iToner 2 ringtones, I was able to sync again.
My guess is that some application that you are using that works in some way with iTunes or your iPhone is what's causing the sync issues. I would suggest finding that particular application and not using it until it gets updated to work with iTunes 10.5 and iOS5.

Parallels Desktop getting Stuck on "Applying Computer Settings"

I get it installed and updated, but everytime I complete the installation of PC-cillin Internet Security 2006 and reboot, Windows XP hangs on 'Applying Computer Settings.'
Anyone have a clue what to due to advance it beyond this point? I have uninstalled and and reinstalled it already one and applied all updated.

James, sorry, what I meant was your title says "Parallels Desktop getting Stuck", and to me it sounds like Parallels is working fine, its XP that is stuck on "Applying Computer Settings"? (could very well be PC-cillin, just not sure if Parallels is the issue)

I don't see any specific issues mentioned on the Parallels board about PC-cillin, I guess the easiest thing is to boot into safe mode, remove PC-cillin completely and restart without it. I've run AVG on my XP copy running on Parallels with no issues. Good luck!
