I might be misunderstanding, ...QuickView is a GW 2012 feature specifically for the Apple iPad.
Are you seeing the QuickView in a regular web browser?

I'd suggest asking OWA specific questions on the
Exchange Server for Developers forum instead. Also you may find the
Exchange Server 2010 Outlook Web App Customization SDK helpful.
As for Microsoft Office Outlook you can use the
CurrentView property of the Explorer or Folder classes which returns a View object
representing the current view. To obtain a View object for the view of the current Explorer,
use Explorer.CurrentView instead
of the CurrentView property of the currentFolder object
returned by Explorer.CurrentFolder.
The View object allows you to create customizable views that allow you to better sort, group and ultimately view data of all different types. There are a variety of different view types that provide
the flexibility needed to create and maintain your important data.
The table view type (olTableView) allows you to view data in a simple field-based table.
The Calendar view type (olCalendarView) allows you to view data in a calendar format.
The card view type (olCardView) allows you to view data in a series of cards. Each card displays the information contained by the item and can be sorted.
The icon view type (olIconView) allows you to view data as icons, similar to a Windows folder or explorer.
The timeline view type (olTimelineView) allows you to view data as it is received in a customizable linear time line.

Cannot view OWA email - after upgrade to Firefox 5.0, Outlook Web Access displays ASCII characters (garbage) in message body. Same issue with multiple servers.

Email body of HTML or RTF messages are rendered in ASCII characters after upgrading to Firefox 5 when viewing email in MS Outlook Web Access (OWA) light from MS Exchange 2007 servers. Issue is repeatable with two entirely different Exchange systems.
Text email renders OK. Work around is to forward email (in use MS-IE).

(1) You say you did the symbolic link. I will assume this is set correctly; it's very important that it is.
(2) I don't know what you mean by "Been feeding the [email protected] for several weeks now, 700 emails each day at least." After the initial training period, SpamAssassin doesn't learn from mail it has already processed correctly. At this point, you only need to teach SpamAssassin when it is wrong. [email protected] should only be getting spam that is being passed as clean. Likewise, [email protected] should only be getting legitimate mail that is being flagged as junk. You are redirecting mail to both [email protected] and [email protected] ... right? SpamAssassin needs both.
(3) Next, as I said before, you need to implement those "Frontline spam defense for Mac OS X Server." Once you have that done and issue "postfix reload" you can look at your SMTP log in Server Admin and watch as Postfix blocks one piece of junk mail after another. It's kind of cool.
(4) Add some SARE rules:

I send an mail with pdf attached, from my System ECC 5.0, and receive the email with , but when looking this email through Outlook Web Access, I can not view the PDF.
This only happening in Outlook Web Access. It works fine in regular Outlook.
How can I solver this problem??.

Wenn ich eine Update-Datei von Mozilla Firefox (Splashtop) auf einen USB-Stick ziehe, dann kann ich diese nicht entpacken, da ich ja nur eine extrem abgespeckte Linux-Version habe. Der "normale" Rechner läuft unter Windows 7, wo ich eine Linux-Datei auch nicht entpacken kann. Was kann ich tun, um den Splashtop-Browser abzudaten?

Using Visio Web Access Web Part to dynamically display visio drawings in document library according to which folder a user is viewing

I have a document library web part in SharePoint 2010. There is also a Visio Web Access Web Part on the same site, side by side with the doc lib. In the folder structure of the document library web part (it is pretty complex and a few levels deep),
each folder contains one and one only Visio diagram. I want the Visio web access web part to display the visio drawing that exists in what ever folder the user is currently browsing. For example.. if the file structure is as follows below and a user clicks
on folder A from the list I would like the Visio Web Access web part to display the visio diagram that lives in folder A. Same for any folder at all anywhere in the structure that the user is viewing, dynamically changing as the user browses the directory.
Is this possible?

Got this to work. Made a new data view in a designer for document library. Created parameter and used it to filter the data view. Then I connected the visio's shape data to the parameter and OOB sorting and filtering works as expected.

Have you changed something on your SharePoint 2007 environment recently before this issue occurred?
This issue may be related to Alternate Access Mappings settings like the following similar post, if you have configured AAM, you can check if this issue happened to some URLs, if it's the case, please add the problematic URLs as a Publish URLs for the default
zone for your web application, and also add these URLs as trusted locations, then check results again.
If above doesn't work, please enable ULS log on verbose level to get more useful log errors which time are corresponding to the errors occur.

Excel web access web part Refresh

Dear All,
Please let me adress my SharePoint issues to you.
Current situation:
I currently have an excel file stored in one of my sharepoint libraries.
The excel file has two tabs.
The first tab contains data exported from a sharepoint list (with data connection)
The second tab has a customized table based on the first tab.
I created a page and added a Excel Web Access web part. The above mentioned excel file (tab2) is viewed in this web part.
Problem:
Everytime I change something in my sharepoint list, the changes will not be viewed in the web part. The changes will only view when I open the excel file in the library first, and then save it.
Question:
Is there a way I can refresh the data automatically, or manually without having to leave the page of the web part?
If anyone has a solution please let me know, thank you for your help!

SharePoint 2013 (Foundation) and Outlook Web Access WebPart (OWAPart)

Hi, I've read most MSDN forum threads relating to this topic, however, I haven't seen my issue anywhere.
We're running SP 2013 foundation, and I want to use the Outlook Web Access web part. I followed the steps outlined here:

To make the WebPart available in the site collection. Which worked.
When I try to actually add the WebPart to a page though, I get an error message stating: "There was an error adding the component to the page" (roughly translated from french).
If I try to see the web part properties from the site settings > Web Parts, I get a SharePoint error page, and the help link yields no information.
Most problems I've seen are with the actual configuration of the WebPart, but I can't even get to that step.

I dont think you can use Outlook web app for foundation. This is not possible because those Web parts use Microsoft.SharePoint.Portal.dll
which is not avaliable and registered on SharePoint Foundation.
Instead of using the OWA web parts, you could also try using the Page Viewer web part and set it to the OWA URLs...

I am trying to get basic web resolution and access but not having any luck. I just wanted to know if there is anything special that I needed to do with the ASA before I can do this. I've made a quick visio diagram of the network, see below:

The Vigor has a local subnet of 192.168.0.x/24 however there is also a "For routing use only" option. See below:

I'm hopeful that by configuring the "For routing use ip address" as one of my allocation of public ip's, that it should work okay. I can actually ping by IP and name from the interface of the ASA but can't do that or browse to websites from clients which have their default gateway set to 192.168.0.252.
I was under the assumption web browsing should work out of the box almost as it's treated as an outgoing connection. Here is my config for you to look at:

Hey, thanks for the reply. I have tried the suggestion but to no avail. I can ping google from the outside interface but can't ping it from anything on the inside. This does tend to point towards a NAT issue. Hopefully someone has another suggestion?

How do I change the URL to the Remote Web Access server in Windows Server 2012?

Hallo!
I have set up a Remote Dexktop Service using the "Quick" deployment method in Server Manager and everything is working greate internally, but I cannot start an app published in Remote Web Access from outside our network.
The problem is that it wants to start the using the internal URL, for example, server.domain.local, instead of the external one, for example remote.server.com.
I therefore want to know how I can change the default URL for the Remote Web Access server and all the Remote Web Apps in Windows Server 2012?
I have allready looked in Server Manager and I can change some of the deployment settings in server manager, but there is no way to alter the URL of the Remote Web Access server. See below images:
Pressing the internal URL only results in opening the internal URL.
This was very simple to do in Windows Server 2008 R2 using the tsconfig tool, but it does not seam to be any way of solving this in server manager.
A possible sollution would be to alter the registry someware in HKLM->Software->Microsoft->Windows NT->Terminal Services. But this can easaly lead to problems due to wrong format, etc. and is probably not supported.
Is there a simpler and supported way?

That option can be used to connect to any machine that you want. The error message indicates that the client machine cannot resolve the name "server.domain.local" to an IP address that it can connect to.
You have several options for configuring that tab on the RDweb site. You can even remove it entirely.
Customization of RD Web Site
RD Web provides a number of customization options for the RD Web interface, including the ability to control default Gateway server settings and redirection settings. These settings
are controlled by editing the web.config file located in %SYSTEMROOT%\Web\RDWeb\Pages.
Displaying Local Help
To display local help for users instead of the web-based help, edit the LocalHelp value and change the value from false to true.

When this value is changed, a user that clicks on Help in the upper right corner of the RD Web login page will open the local help file instead of web-based help.
Hiding the Connect to a Remote PC Tab
The RDWeb page
Connect to a Remote PC tab can be hidden from users to prevent connections to any servers through RD Web other than the servers configured in a collection. By default, this setting is set to true and the
Remote Desktops tab is displayed. To hide the tab, set the value to false.

When the value is set to false, a user will not see the Connect to a Remote PC tab when logged on to the RD Web page
RD Gateway Settings
If the Connect to a Remote PC tab is enabled, an administrator can configure RD Web to use a Gateway server when connecting to remote computers. To specify a gateway, edit the below

This value is set to false by default, but when changed to true, the following checkbox will display at the bottom of the webpage. The LAN experience

I cannot sync Ical on my iMac with my professional calendar (outlook web access). and I don't understand why it doesn't work since I have already made it with my iPhone. Help

Hello,
I bought an iMac few days ago. I would like to sync ical on my iMac with my professional calendar I use in my company (from outlook web access).
I was easy to manage it on my iPhone (I just add a new "exchange" mail account and ask for a calendar sync only) and it worked very quickly.
But I cannot do it with the iMac, and I don't undersatnd why?
the domain is is used for my iPhone is the following :
owa.companyname.com
I tried all the solutions I found in this forum but it doesn't work.

Is there a Firefox plug-in for Outlook Web Access?

I want to access all of Outlook's functions but can't through Firefox, only through Explorer.
In Outlook Web Access through Firefox, I don't have access to menu options for italics, bold, underlining, etc., and I can't view the list of emails on one side while viewing the email content of one email on the other side. The place to access folders like the sent box is different, too, through Firefox. It's a very downgraded version of Outlook Web Access. How can I get the better version of Outlook Web Access while still keeping Firefox as my browser? Is there a plug-in? If not, can Firefox fix this issue with its browser?

Firefox 3.03 - why such an old version? 3.6.12 is the most recent release.
It is up to Microsoft to fix Outlook Web Access to work with Firefox or to come up with a plugin for Firefox. If Mozilla was to start fixing or write plugins for all the software out there that is made to work with Internet Explorer and not any other browser, they wouldn't have time to work on Firefox.
There are two Firefox extensions that will open IE in a Firefox tab. Many users install one of these addons to get around problems like you are having with Outlook Web Access.

A problem with Win 7 Pro, Outlook Web Access based on Exchange Server 2003, and two different domains

Dear Microsoft Support,
As mentioned in the title,
I have two domains. One is Domain A at HQ. The other one is Domain A at branch office. A laptop having Win 7 Pro OS is a client of Domain A. The Domain A has Exchange Server 2003. Users of Domain B get connected to Exchange Server for email services. In
all clients of the Domain B, IP address of the email server added in C:\Windows\System 32\drivers\etc\host file.
Whereas in the clients of Domain A it was not done, because all the servers including the email server belong to the Domain A.
Now, a user with Domain A's client (it is a laptop) came to Branch office and wanted to access the Outlook (using Outlook Web Access). since there is no IP address added in the Host file of the laptop, connectivity to email is not possible. When I try to
add the IP address, I was not able to do so due to Domain A's security reasons.
So, let me know, is there a way out to add the IP address in the host file of the Domain A's client.

I would suggest adding the mailserver address in Domain B's DNS. Would that be possible?
I agree. The correct solution in this case (since it appears you already have a two-way Domain Trust in place) is to properly configure DNS in Domain 'B' to be a secondary of Domain 'A' and completely eliminate the need to maintain the HOSTS file.
