Quicktime Movie Controller Will Not Work in Web Browser

Regardless if it's Safari or Firefox, I cannot click any of the buttons on the movie controller when viewing my movies in a web browser. They work as intended in iWeb, however.

Well I figured it out. Apparently if the video is too low on the page it will not play. I had to change the Y value, moving it up, and it would magically play. Weird...

Edge Code will not load in web browser

My OEM edge code will not load in web browser after it has been uploaded to the server. I am using dreamweaver & the OEM file.
The images are all grouped & labeled properly (within Edge Animate). Note the website will not load with ANY web browsers UNLESS you hit the refresh button or reload the web address.

Make sure the Cluster configuration is right. When did you start seeing this problem?
Host A: Dispatcher->server 0, server 2
Host B: Dispatcher->server 0, server 2
i.e The instance IDs are mapped right.
Also try to hit the individual servers in the cluster the following way.
http://hostname1:50000/irj/portal;sapj2ee_irj=instance_id sends a request to server 0.
http://hostname2:51000/irj/portal;sapj2ee_irj=instance_id sends a request to server 1.
This may give more clues. Unfortunately I don't have access to EP6 SP2 to lookup and tell you the right parameters to look for.

After Quick Time update .mov files will not work in Premier pro.

I have windows 7 and the latest premiere pro. I uninstalled quick time still not working. Other files work fine however I work with a great deal of transparent background videos and now they will not work in Adobe apps. I have looked into solutions but cant find anything for windows. Firefox 3.6.11 will not work with Dreamweaver browser preview.

Here's the fix. Dump Firefox 3.6.13 and Re-Install Firefox 3.5.16. Problem solved.

F10 Key not working in Web Browser mode

I created a click box on a CP5 screen and assigned F10 as the Shortcut key and the action is "Go to the next slide." When the user presses F10 the demo would advance to the next screen.
This works great in preview mode. However, when in Web Browser mode, nothing happens except I get this message at the bottom of the screen, "Contains commands for working with selected item."
How do I get the F10 key to work (action desired: advance to the next screen in my demo) in browser mode?

LIkely it depends on the browser, but some keys are always reserved for use by the browser itself and they cannot be used as shortcut keys by a Captivate SWF because the browser will intercept them and not pass them on to the SWF.
I'm not sure if F10 is among those keys, but it may well be.
This would likely beg the question of why Captivate would allow you to assign a shortcut key if if wouldn't work when you publish and play in the browser. And for that I would remind you that SWF output is just one of the ouputs Captivate may produce. If you published as EXE, you aren't bound by browser behavior and the key would likely work just dandy.

Swing components in applet not working in web browser

Hi Guys,
I've created an applet which makes use of some swing components, but unfortunately, not all of them function properly in my web browser (internet explorer or Mozilla Firefox). Its mainly the buttons; the last buttons works and displays the correct file within the broswer, but the first 5 buttons do not work...
any help please on how I can sort this problem out?

Thanks for the response. I don't quite understand what you're talking about though. I have, in my humble knowledge, done nothing with packages. I have put the applet class (WiaRekenToolActiz.class is the applet class) in the jar file wia_actiz_archive.jar. From what I read on the tutorial, java looks for the applet class in all the jar files specified. Since I put my CODEBASE as the main url, I thought it baiscally didn't matter where you out the html file.
I shall include the complete html page complete with applet tag to perhaps illuminate a bit more what I mean...

Adobe Reader will not work in my browser

Hello all-
Unfortunately, I had to replace my hard drive recently. When I reinstalled everything and tried to get Reader to work in a browser, it would not.
I am on a Windows 7 computer and have Acrobat Pro 9. I usually use Firefox. However, I've checked in IE and Chrome, and the problem was still there.
After I installed Reader 10.1.4, I got the following message:
There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. If it is running, please exit and try again (:1).
I did some research and ended up changing the admin/permissions settings, but that had no effect. Based on additional information I found, I attempted to uninstall and reinstall.
Upon reinstalling 10.1.4, I received the following message:
There is a problem with Adobe Acrobat/Reader. If it is running, please exit and try again (3:1074724867).
I did some more research and found something about running different versions of Reader and Acrobat, so I uninstalled 10 and reinstalled 9.5.
With the older version of Reader, I got this message:
The Adobe Acrobat/Reader that is running can not be used to view PDF files in a Web Browser. Please exit Adobe Acrobat/Reader and exit your Web Browser and try again.
I've uninstalled 9 and at least now have the automatic option of opening a PDF as a separate file. Of course, I would rather have it integrated into my browser.
Any suggestions?

If you have Acrobat and/or Reader or any combination of two versions of Reader, you need to uninstall all of them, then re-install one. Only Acrobat X and Reader X are designed to run on the same Windows system.
It may be helpful to run http://labs.adobe.com/downloads/acrobatcleaner.html
to remove all detrius left over from previous installs.

Portal will not load in web browser

Hello,
I have a clustered portal and the second portal (<b>Ep6 SP2 Patch 29</b>) server in the cluster will not load in a web browser. The portal appears to start correctly and joins the cluster with the other server but when you try to access it in the browser it does not load. The browser just sits there.
I found that if I stop the dispatcher on the second server the portal login page does load minus the images.
Any ideas on what my problem could be?

User Authentication for subfolder not working in Web Browser

We are using Oracle Application Server 10.1.2.3 and Database Server 10.2.0.5 for our application.
One of the functionalities of the Application is to send emails with attachments.
The logic is that the Application would generate the attachment file on the Application Server.
Then a database package uses Oracle's utl_http package/procedures(more specifically utl_http.request_pieces where the single argument is a URL) to pick up the file from the Application Server via URL, attach the file and send the email.
Exchange and Relay Server is also set in the Application.
The problem is that the folder containing the folder which stores the attachments is having user authentication set.
Example : The main folder is /apps/interface, this folder requires a valid user when it is accessed via URL on a web browser.

The folder /apps/interface/email/ is the folder where the attachment files are generated and stored.

Activated php, but will not work in web server

What I get when I tried to access a php file via Safari is the text content, but not the executable. What did I do wrong... Any way to get it work without having to REINSTALL the OS?
I have tried to install MAMP in prior times, so it may be that some of the configuration files are tweaked.
Any ideas on how to change this behavior?
