R12.1.1 Fullfillment service does not start in windows 2003 envirinment

I have tried to start the fullfillment service. It starts and then suddenly stops.
Please help

In event viewer i found
"The description for Event ID ( 0 ) in Source ( Oracle Fulfillment Server VIS_r12serv ) cannot be found. The local computer may not have the necessary registry information or message DLL files to display messages from a remote computer. You may be able to use the /AUXSOURCE= flag to retrieve this description; see Help and Support for details. Tomcat (3.2.8) service will not start in Windows 2003 Server

We just upgraded one of our servers to Windows 2003 Server. I did change the port in server.xml from 8080 to 8060. When I try to start the tomcat service it fails with an error message:
Could not start the Tomcat service on Local Computer.
Error 1067: The process terminated unexpectedly.
I can however start it with the startup.bat file in tomcat_home\bin
Can anyone help.. was running fine under windows 2000 server

VC does not start on Windows 2003

Hi,
I have applied the note 804496 (registry changes + IIS changes, etc.) which should enable VC to start on a Windows 2003 / IIS 6.0 system. But I still get the error :
"Fatal Error:
No Visual Composer Server was found at specified address
(Error reading server parameters in url:bin/gm1433030.asp)"
I also installed Adobe SVG 3.0 on the server as some suggested in another thread.
Do you have any ideas?

Hi David,
I had a similiar problem but have now got it working.
There are two other things to try:
1) check note 772559 which contains the Visual composer Analyzer. This will test and fix any problems it finds.
2) Look at the Visual composer installation guide which was released this week. It seems to have some extra configration steps which aren't included in OSS note 804496. the path is https://websmp106.sap-ag.de/instguides ->NW04->Installations->SAP VC.
In my case I originally succeeded in installing VC6.0sp2, which worked. Upon re-booting it no longer woked and gave the same error as yours now does. I eventually ran the unistaller (which hangs, so you have to keep trashing it until it is completely uninstalled). And the re-installing it. And fingers crossed it has worked successfully ever since.

Reader 8.1.3 installer does not start on Windows 2003 x64

Hello,
i use Windows Server 2003 SP2 as 64 Bit edition on AMD and have installed Reader 8.1.2 successfully. Now i tried to install 8.1.3, which is the most recent of the 8th series i found, and fail because the installer simply does nothing! It starts up and then nothing happens. I've downloaded the EXE several times directly from Adobe with the same result.
What can i do?

Sorry, i still don't get why 8.1.2 runs perfectly (and yes, there is a 64bit support for Windows 2003 Server!) and 8.1.3 did not even start. That makes no sense to me.
And because i want do deploy 8.1.3 even update is no alternative for me.

OracleOraDb10g_home1TNSListener service does not start. If started manually, it automatically gets stopped.
As result, if I connect to Orcale 10 database through Java, I get Network Adapter error.

My inventory service does not start. I've looked around but did not yet find the solution. I did have an error I've read nothing about:

PIA service does not start

Hi,
my webserver is Weblogic (9.2, Tools 8.49 , HRMS90). PIa service does not start automaticaly when I start/boot the server. I should run startPIA.cmd. And then I can connect in 4/3.
Do you have any idea for that ?

after u install PIA , u can start the server from the cmd by issuing a command called StartPIA.cmd ,
or u can tie the domain to a service type called NT service, and schedule the service to be automatic. it keeps running as long as ur box is up. once u reboot it , service stops for a while and start again. this is automatic type of bringing up the server.
ur bEA weblogic when installed sets the path for jdk and jre which are used by the server to come up properly.
even after this if u have trouble, please paste the logs. logs are found under PS_HOME\webserver\domain_name\logs
bea logs are under bea DIR.

Opmn service does not start when try to start Oracle BI Services

Hi ,
I was able to install OBIEE 11g on my laptop and it worked fine for two days. Today when I try to login to rpd and type my user name and password I get the error that my user name and password is not correct. I tried to restart the machine and now I am not able to start opmn service.
When I do Start>Oracle Business Intelligence (1)>Start BI Services, the script run and two command line windows open and about 10 minutes later get the last line that server started in RUNNING mode, but some how Oracle Process Manager (instance) service does not start. It started two days ago when I was able to login to OBIEE 11g.
If I try to go to OBIEE 11g Home page I get this error "Error 500- Internal server error from RFC 2068 Hypertext Transfer Protocol- HTTP/1.1: 10.5.1 500 Internal server error
Any Idea how to fix this one.

Maybe you need to tick the "use fully qualified names" check box and make sure that you have the schema object created (as a "folder" between the database and the tables in the physical layer).

Microsoft Forefront Server Protection for Exchange Registration Service does not start automatically

I am having an issue when I start my TMG 2010 machine:
(*TMG 2010 + Forefront protection for Exchange + Exchange Edge server role, acting like a SMTP relay and Antispam filter)
The service "Microsoft Forefront Server Protection for Exchange Registration Service"
does not start, it is set to "Manual".
I tried to find some information about which services should be started and which should not, but I cannot find such information, not even in Technet (my fault probably).

The Microsoft Forefront Server Protection Registration service normally only runs for a brief time (less than a minute) when FPE initializes. It then shuts
down and does not need to be running for transport scanning to occur.

Hi,
I recommend you use event viewer to check if there are any relate event logs. This may help us to find the cause.
In addition, as Amit mentioned, Exchange 2010 SP2 isn't supported by Microsoft, I think upgrading to SP3 is a much more sensible approach.

ACS 3.3 - CSAdmin service does not start

Hello all,
I'm running Windows 2003 Server (Enterprise). I installed the eval version of ACS 3.3. The installation process was successful. However, the CSAdmin service does not start. There is an Event Log error that states:
Failed to initialize AAA Client Config Module.
Anyone seen this before?

Saw this and it turned out to be the user had eTrust virus scanning on the server also. Removing that and reinstalling the ACS software fixed it up. Can you check that you don't have that specific software (we may need to file an incompatibility bug), or try removing any other virus/firewalling software that may be causing issues.

CiscoWorks Tomcat Servlet Engine service does not start

CiscoWorks Tomcat Servlet Engine service does not start.
Events in the Windows Event Viewer:
The CiscoWorks Tomcat Servlet Engine service terminated unexpectedly. It has done this 1 time(s).
output pdshow and file stderr.log, hs_err_pid2128.log attached.
Do you have an idea how to resolve this?

The only things which I see are wrong are the start types for the IPM NG database engine and HUM database engine services. They must be set to Manual, not Automatic. However, that would not account for the Tomcat crash. The crash points to an error in the code which processes regdaemon.xml, but I see no reason why that should be failing. As I said before, I think it would be best to open a Service Request. Remote access would be helpful to dig into this problem in more detail.

Dbconsole service does not start after renaming Hostname

I installed 10g Rel 2 successfully on a Windows XP machine, and then renamed the Computer name (Host name) of the server machine, and now the dbconsole service (for Enterprise manager) does not start up and hence I cannot access the EM through the web browser.
Is there a fixed list of files/directories to rename, if I want to access the Enterprise Manager Console, in such circumstances?
I have already made changes in Tnsnames.ora and listener.ora files. But the service still won't start successfully. It gives a "Service-specific error 2".

MSExchangeMonitoring service does not start

Hi,
I have installed the exchange management pack on a SCOM 2012 R2 monitoring server and am trying to monitor a exchange 2010 server. The MSExchangeMonitoring service does not want to start, it just keeps trying but always has the status of "starting"
i can not seem to find any related errors in the event log. It is running under local system account.
Does anybody have any clues?

The MSExchangeMonitoring service is an optional service in exchange 2010, and it has no dependencies.
I recommend you refer to the following methods to start it:
1. Try running the following commands with administrator permission, and check if any helps:
Stop-Service MSExchangeMonitoring
Start-Service MSExchangeMonitoring
2. Try rebooting exchange server and then starting this service manually.
