R12 - AP Invoice Lines Interface & Tax Codes

We have a slight problem getting AP Invoice Lines through the Payables Open Interface. In 11i the value held in the TAX_CODE column was validated (against AP_TAX_CODES I believe), and if wrong or missing the line was rejected. The eTRM for R12 claims this column is still validated, although against ZX_TAXES_B, however testing shows this to be untrue. Support documentation from Oracle (e.g. note 472649.1) suggest a number of other columns are now used for tax validation, however testing agains shows this to be untrue. The only column we can find which is validated is TAX_CLASSIFICATION_CODE, and if this column contains a valid tax code then the invoice line will be accepted, however we cannot find any documentation which shows that this column should be used.
Has anyone out there bottomed out this issue, and if so is there any insight you could offer?
Many thanks.

  • Oracle Inferface Invoices Rejects Canadian Tax Code

    Hi to All,
Today we incountered Oracle Interface Invoice issue where a invoice with Canadian Tax Code "HST" was rejected. Researching the Open Interface Invoice Lines we can see for the invoice the tax code "HST".
But when we go to quick invoices and view the rejected invoice the TAX Code "HST" is NULL. When attempting to update the invoice we get the following error: FRM-40212: Invalid value for field TAX_NAME.
We have checked the tax code in Oracle and tax code is enabled.
We have also checked the Acct Distrubtion and accounts are enabled.
We have been processing several invoices for CAD with tax code "HST" and we have not been having any issue.
Would like assistance on where the issues lies and how to resolve.
    Thanks

    hi,
    1. Check if the GL date entered in the invoice header is in open period and status set to null before running payable open interface.
    2. Check if "GL period" is open for that period in GL responsibility.
I also faced the same issue:

In order to create the delivery via the DI, you need to set the oDoc.Lines.BaseLine value to the LineNum value from the RDR1 table (in the above example you should enter the value 2).
we set oDoc.Lines.BaseLine=0 before starting the lines loop. This has resolved the issue.
This note was really helpful and it was found in another query.

  • Line level Tax code in PO

    Hi,
In which table can I find the line level tax code mentioned in a PO.
    Rgds,
    Manju.

    hi Manju,
you can find the values by doing this.
    1. Retrieve the Condition Record Number (KNUMH) from A003 by giving the following values for:
        a. Application (KAPPL) = 'TX' for tax
        b. Condition Type (KSCHL) = 'MWVS' for input tax
        c. Departure Country (ALAND)
        d. Tax Code (MWSKZ) = EKPO-MWSKZ
    2. Retrieve Condition Amount (KBETR) from KONP passing the Condition Record Number (KNUMH) from A003.
Note: consider the value of Calculation Type (KRECH) if you need to get the actual value.
Divide Condition Amount (KBETR) by 10 for percentage since 10% is represented as 100.00 in KBETR.
    regards,

  • Self billing invoice with input tax code

    Hello experts,
we are currently trying to implement a billing procedure with credit memos within the module SD. In this set-up the recipient of a service (company using the SAP) creates a credit memo for the renderer of a service (a debitor in SAP) showing the amount the recipient of the service/product has to pay. The credit memo will also show VAT (we currently only try to implement a process for transaction within Germany, no cross-border transactions yet). For the recipient of the service (= issuer of the credit memo) the credit memo is similar to an incoming invoice (self billing invoice). Hence, the shown VAT on this credit memo - if all other requirements are met - can be treated as deductible input tax.
In order to automatically process the credit memo correctly as incoming invoice it has to be linked to a tax code (Steuerkennzeichen) with tax type "V" (=input tax) (Vorsteuerkennzeichen). To achieve that we have created a new condition record (Konditionssatz) that performs that task.
So currently we create a credit memo request (Gutschriftsanforderung) which is linked to an input tax code (Vorsteuerkennzeichen) via mentioned condition record. We then create the billing document. During creating the billing document an accounting document should also be created. But that is where our approach does not work properly. The system creates a billing document (credit memo) but does not create the corresponding accounting document. We receive the error message:
Document .... saved (no accounting document generated)
    Message no. VF050
When trying to release the document to FI via Transaction VF02 we receive the following, more detailed error message:
Only output tax is allowed for account 480000 1000, VZ is not allowed
    Message no. FS215
This problem has to be somehow linked to the usage of an input tax code. If we perform the same procedure with an output tax code (Ausgangsteuerkennzeichen) we will not receive the error message and an accounting document is created.
It seems that the account determination is responsible for the described problem: Although an input tax code is assigned, the account key (as shown in the overview to the applied conditions on the items within the credit memo request (Item - Condition - Detail)) does not change from "MWS" to "VST" and therefore an output tax account (Account Number 480000) is determined for the tax amount. And for that output tax account the usage of an input tax code is not allowed.
Has anyone an idea how to solve the described problem or how to implement the billing procedure another way?
We are aware that there is such a functionality within the module MM called "Evaluated Receipt Settlement (ERS)" but this is not suitable for our purposes since we want to implement this within SD and without the need to create an order first which seems to be necessary for ERS.
    Thanks for your help,
    Bernd

  • Command line interface to "code cache" memory pool utilization

I need to monitor the usage of the "code cache" memory pool through a command-line interface, but it doesn't seem to me that the jstat tool is able to give me any information about this particular memory pool. Are there any other tools that is able to give me the details I need? I'm using both JDK 5 and 6.

    Hi
If you are using TAXINN procedure, check apart from VK11 check you have maintained TAX CODE for excise condition types. Example FTXP or VK19 (using application as TX). Also check whether you are using UTXJ condition type. If you are using UTXJ condition type then please remove it.
For TAXINN you need not have UTXJ condition type.

Even i entered the tax code in my idoc, system not taking and also as i have maintained the table OBCD & OBCE but system not consider it.
If i maintained the tax code in my PO then it is posting the invoice with PO tax code sucessfully.
Please let me know, Is their any other setting needs tobe done for idoc to post the invoice without maintained TAX CODE  in PO ?
    Thanks in advance
    Regards,

No option available .you have to maintain tax code in PO.
Try your luck with following option Still not sure as it works only if you call transaction MIRO
OLMR -- incoming invoice -- maintain default value for tax codes

  • Bapi_Acc_Document_Post - E 018 : Invalid tax code and company code combination

    Hi All,
I need the help of this forum once again.
I am using bapi Bapi_Acc_Document_Post to create KR documents in SAP. The bapi works absolutely fine except for one scenario:
For a particular type of invoice coded to Company "XXXX" with lines having tax code "I0", the bapi returns error message "E 018 : Invalid tax code and company code combination". The tax code "I0" and the company code "XXXX" has been mapped in SAP and if I try to create the invoice manually in SAP using the GUI, the invoice gets created without any issue.
I have tried searching the forum but could not find any post on this topic.
Therefore, requesting the masters to please help me out on this.
