Ran Code: Changed Priviledges, Services, System Files, HD etc.

I just wanted to print my login screen in Single User Mode, used codes I didn't write down (from off the internet, no less) and I cannot remember

I ran a code I got off the internet and I am paying for it dearly. All application Services are no longer active. I am missing entire folders and pref. panes. I erased my partition, reinstalled 10.6 and it changed nothing. I cannot remember exactly what it was, however, it could be. Console says so many scary things:

what is the message that you get when you try to open a file?
1. You can try to change the permissions to see if they will allow you to write to the file(s).
2. Naviagte to your Home folder Macintosh HD-->Users-->Username and press command+i to get info and on the bottom of the screen click on the lock and unlock the security check, remove your current username and then re-add it and next to the minus symbol click and select apply to enclosed folders

For editing in PRD system, u need to get authorization for editing. To get auth object, contact basis.
But proper way to edit a code is modifying in DEV, then transport it to QAS & PRD.

Code changes are not reflecting

Hi,
I am facing one strange issue.
One of my colleague developer made some code changes. He checkin the code and was transported successfully to quality system. The changes are working fine in quality system.
Now using my NWDS I synced the code by connecting to NWDI. When I build and deployed the code in my local server I am not able to see the all the code changes in my system. I am able to see some label changes but not all the code changes.
I checked the deployment of my local server by keeping some print statements and it is fine.
I removed the entire configuration from Development Configurations perspective and imported the configuration, created the project again. But still I am facing the same issue.
Can anyone help me in resolving this issue.

That is weired..Can you check in C:/USR/... where your JSP's and Java classes gets deployed. See if you get the changes deployed at this location you are looking for. You need to decompile your class file to Java file to see the content of it. If you still have issues , remove all the DC's from your NWDS, import again from the track , undeploy your EAR from SDM, and deploy it again.
But some other functionalities which are coming in my system are not coming in that system. Did you deploy to any server? If so, are you seeing all your changes on the server. Check you are connecting to right NWDI and to the right track.
I am sure you might have tried all these options..but nothing is striking to my mind at this time.

Retrieve code change from DTR

Hi I have the previous version of product running on NW7.0 on which we only do code change required for Support packs (SP).
The new version of product is developed on NW7.10.
We did not update the new version with all the SP fixes.
I can get all the activated DTR activities which show me all the files modified for SPs, but I do not get the code change made in these files from DTR.
If I am able to get the code change for all activites activated in DTR, then I will just have to copy paste the fixes in the new track.
Please suggest me if this is possible and how.

Disk free listing no longer work after rsync overwritten system files /etc

Hi All,
I am having difficulty running some key critical commands on this Solaris 10 server (Sun Fire X2200, M2 x64 Server) called SERVERB. This SERVERB is a disaster recovery system identical to our production server known as SERVERA. We recently scheduled an regular rsync cron job to copy everything from SERVERA to SERVERB, but feared that this process has also overwritten some of our system files in /etc which prevented these commands from working.
Below is the output when attempting to run these commands:
$ hostname

We have also splitted up physical SERVERB into multiple regions using Solaris Zoning, but not sure whether we have correctly partitioned/sized the filesystems correctly amongst each zones.

Does /etc/mnttab gets regenerated during reboot, or do we need to restore the orginal file (going to be difficult) prior to rebooting? I thought that this file is dynamically build (from /etc/vfstab) during startup but need your confirmation.

You need to use WCF-Custom adapter and add the ServiceThrottlingBehavior service behavior to a WCF-Custom Locations.
ServiceThrottlingBehavior.MaxConcurrentCalls - Gets or sets a value that specifies the maximum number of messages actively processing across a ServiceHost. The MaxConcurrentCalls property specifies the maximum number of messages actively
processing across a ServiceHost object. Each channel can have one pending message that does not count against the value of MaxConcurrentCalls until WCF begins to process it.

Vat code change, EDI file number finding and EDI file structure chage?

Our client has a plant in Europe, which has a largest supplier. We process electronic invoices to the vendor through a provider OB10 ( private company - invoicing provider ).
In the transfer of the electronic data to the invoice posting, a VAT code is added to the details, that appears to be pulling from a certain Table in the system.
I want to know from which tables this field has pulled up to the Invoice?
In continuation of the process ...I have come across an issue on EDI file structure change. I have provided with the the Idoc numbers of above invoices, from the idoc numbers i need to find out the EDI file number. But when i went to WE02, WE05 with those idoc numbers i couldn't find the EDI file number( Interchange file number ref).
How can i find the EDI file number and i have to suggest the EDI team for changing the file structure in regard to the VAT code updating according to the Plants abroad function.
What are the things i need to suggest them exactly in regard to this?

The table for tax code is T076M - maintainable using T code OBCD. For EDI file number, execute T Code WE02 - enter IDoc number and execute (F8). In the right window pane, choose select layout -> change layout and pick up the field Interchange file reference. Guess this is what you are looking for.
OR
Go to transaction WE02 or WE05 enter Idoc number and choose execute. When Idoc data is displayed double click on Control Record in left pane. Choose Details tab. Interchangable file under References.
You can also refer the entries in table EDIDC.
Reference to interchange file:
This field contains the reference number of the interchange file in which the EDI message was transmitted.

System files on OSX Lion / Changing the bakround of Log-on screen

I found a guide to how to change the incredibly boring bakround in the log-on screen on OSX Lion, which was described really easy. And since its such a boring bakround and since i like to customize my stuff, was just about to go through the few basic steps to change it.
When i directly ran in to a problem.
In order to change the bakround, i need to find this location "/System/Library/Frameworks/AppKit.framework/Versions/C/Resources" and then the file "NSTexturedFullScreenBackgroundColor.png".
But, If i search in finder, it shows no results at all if i search for the filename, and no results shown when i search for any of the folders names...
Why??
I have done no changes since i bought my macbook pro 13.3", with OSX Lion on it a few weeks ago. I am the admin and only user of the macbook.
It is set to Swedish as the main language, could that result in the system files having different names?
Otherwise other ways to change the log-on screen's bakround will be appreciated as well.
As long as the tip is not "Ravissant", wich i have already looked at, but that would only make the log-on screen even uglier.

That has never been a feature of Mac OS X, but I believe there was some kind of third-party software that could add that capability. i don't recall what its name is, but you must have had that installed, and it either isn't installed anymore (perhaps removed as incompatible?) or is not working properly in Mountain Lion.

Created file in illustrator then opened in photoshop but color code changed?

I Created file in illustrator and then opened the art in photoshop but the wierd thing is that the color code changed. If you look at the image with you eye the color will look the same to the naked but if you use the eye dripper tool you can see that the color code has changed between illustrator and photoshop.
Is there a way to make the CMYK color code stay the same?

In Illustrator the "Edit---> color settings" are set to "North America General Purpose 2" and the that is the same color setting choice in Photoshop.
For example there is a black color in Illustrator that has this CMYK code "60, 49,47, 100"
but in photoshop the CMYK code for the same part of the graphic changes to "75, 68, 67, 90"
This is only one example of many color code changes that are happening and this may look like the same color on the screen but I need them to both have the same code because I am doing specialized printing and need no changes in color codes like this to occur.
If I have the color setting in both photoshop and illustrator both set exactly the same "Edit---> color settings" then do you know why this color shift would be happening. Please help.

Interface getting failed after changing the Business system to that service

Hello All,
Our Env... is XI 3.0 and this is related to produciton env.
Based on our client requirment to change the business system from client 871 to 100 for one of the R3 system which is reciever type(rfc).
After doing all the necessary changes , that particular service is getting failed and in the CC monitoring for that service I can see the log as "RFC_ERROR_LOGIN_FAILURE" mandate 871 (earlier client) does not exist in the system.
The steps which I have followed to change the Business system.
1>I loged into the SLD of PRD system and clicked on businsess landscape .then i have clicked on the specified system to be changed (RY1 ) and then clicked on change mode and selected the required client (100) and saved the settings.
2>I have logged into ID(Integration Directory) and selected the service (RY1) which need to be changed .Under service -->Adaper specific -->compare sld configurations and then clicked on apply changes.
3>Now selected that communication channel of service (RY1) RFCRecieverR3 and changed the client 871 to 100 and the password of user XIRFCUSER ...
Then i saved the changes and after that i have activated that interface.
After that when i logged into CC monitoring and viewed that service channels and see the following errors:
Receiver channel 'RFCReceiverR3' for party '', service 'RY1'
Error can not instantiate RfcPool caused by:
com.sap.aii.af.rfc.RfcAdapterException: error initializing RfcClientPool:com.sap.aii.af.rfc.core.repository.RfcRepositoryException: can not connect to destination system due to: com.sap.mw.jco.JCO$Exception: (103) RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE: Mandante 871 não existente no sistema (selecionar mandante existente)
Can any one help me out of this situation , and i need to fix this ASAP as this is production system.

Let me say few points about this particular problem:
1>The interface "XX" from XI sends data to two systems( R3 -->RP1 & RY1), some thing like branched (same data is passed to both the reciever systems).
And the second RY1 is copy of First system RP1 (Production sys) which is used for data loading purpose and every week there will be a refresh from First sys (RP1) to Second(RY1).
2>Now the first sys(RP1) is recieving the data successfully from XI , and the second one (RY1) is getting failed .And this started after changing the Business system 871 to 100 .
3>As mentioned by you , I have checked all the points mentioned
    i)In SM59 for XI (ABAP part) two rfc's are maintained (LCRSAPRFC & SAPSLDAPI) and the test connection is also fine...But I did not find these two connections in reciever systems(RP1 & RY1 too).
   ii)In reciever system RY1 ,when i went to RZ70 , i did not noticed any special settings and SLD Bridge :Gateway Information is not maitained over there .and the same thing in other reciever system(RP1) , with this can we confirm that there is nothing wrong in RZ70 settings.
   iii)In SLDAPICUST at recievers end for both systems nothing is mantained , where as in XI system all the details are maintained(Host name,port, user & password).
I have translated the error log into english from the CC monitoring for this interface which is in portuguese language .
It says that:
RFC_ERROR_LOGON_FAILURE: 871 Mandante not in the system (select principal existing)
Kindly advise me what to do ..for fixing this problem(this is pretty urgent and it is production env...)..
If any information required , I can provide that.

Single Go button for all prompts - without making changes to system files

I went thru several threads and blogs which suggest to do certain changes in the .js files to get a single go button for a group of prompts (saved as individual objects)
Is it possible to have single go button in 11g for prompts which are saved separately without changing the system files?

Hi,
I dont think so. But in 11.1.6 version there is a feasibility to avoid apply and reset buttons. so that will make to appear all the prompts together.
And you can try to built a common prompt filter with all the columns, but it will be bad and cause lots of problems.

Kernel Panic from system file permission changes

A friend and i were trying to share some image files with each-other so we firewire connected our two macs... (both mac book pros mine a intel core on snow-leopard hers the latest is7 operating system -prob Lion) when the corresponding computer did not appear on our desktops I entered "sharing" console on my system prefs and attempted to allow her computer to see and read/write mine... I got a pop up prompt asking if i wished to share all my internal files and I said "yes" Shortly thereafter a repeat prompt kept popping up on my computer saying something like ~"can't share system files" I pressed "ok" each time it appeared and after a few pop ups it all seemed ok...
By now as a backup attempt to share my files i had plugged in my external (open permissions) hard-drive which at this point suddenly told me i am not allowed to read or write on it... I ejected it and since the whole system was still spinning and wanting to share permissions I force-quit the finder and selected "shut down" my system to start fresh but when attempting to restart finder I first a few moments later I got that - multilingual kernel panic prompt
it won't start up - it won't boot from disc (at start i hold down option and insert operating disc) it wont start up (I've depressed shift after start and arrived at a spinning wheel that never ends... i'm also out of my warranty and hoping to solve this without paying for a new mac

Unfortunately, the log files are full of scary-sounding messages. Unless you have some specific problem other than the logs, there is usually no need to worry about it. Sometimes, a problem may be reflected in the logs, but you can't start with the logs. You'll never finish.
