Random a apps on my 5s

I keep getting random a apps download on to my phone that Iv never seen before and the only other product I'm connected to is my old Mac Pro that was stollen

If you had auto install for apps purchased or downloaded on other devices someone might be using your stolen Mac Pro to purchase or download apps. Those apps would then auto download to your iPhone or iPad. I suggest immediately changing you Apple ID Password and any other passwords you may have stored on your Mac Pro.

also, i have a dup'd & bootable version of my os on an external drive. when selecting it to boot from in startup disk, the laptop shows the apple logo and the drive spins up and then spins down with which then the laptop totally powers off. this happens, again, during the showing of the apple logo. tried connecting the drive via fw 400 & 800.
but like the first sentance, my apps aren't launching. i have gone thru disk utility, leopard cashe cleaner, mac pilot, oynx and even looked over various permissions. basically used every tool in all of those apps.
don't know if the drive boot failure has anything to do with it, but i thought i'd mention it.
also, this started in 10.5.5. after trying everything listed above, i upgraded via the combo update and the problem continued.
i have disconnected everything and tried all of what i know. might anyone have the same experience or some tricks to try to snap this macbook pro back into shape?

The only freeware is Disk Utility, which is basically running fsck. You could boot from your install disk, then access the Disk Utility from there and run the Repair Disk function. At least you will then see what the failure is. AFAIK all free utilities which will run a repair function use the same UNIX routine which is already present on your Mac. If it won't work, then you are going to have to pay, the two disk repair programs that have the best reputations are Disk Warrior TechTool Pro, with more people preferring Disk Warrior. Be sure to use Disk Utility to check the SMART status of the drive too (depending on the drive this may not be available). Also see if you can Repair Permissions in Disk Utility when booted normally.
The only somewhat more problematic than normal applications I have noticed that caused higher than average glitches are third party goodies, especially torrent programs and things like Speed Download and Little Snitch. Of course, things that hack the system can be problematic too, I avoid Unsanity haxies for instance, although lots of people love the stuff.

Randomly opening apps, turning pages...any help?

My iPhone is randomly opening apps, going to voice control, and turning pages on it's own. I have tried a hard reset, a restore, and updating the software. I'm ready to smash it!! lol Anyone else have this problem???

Creating a simple random 'quotation' app

Hello all
I an very very green around this kind of thing. I am a training professional and I wanted to create a job aid for a training I'm developing.
I want to develop an app for deployment onto peoples blackberry's that randomly generates a question (for use after a sales training) - I guess it will be a bit like a quotation of the day type of deal (excel;t with ques not quotes)
I have adobe CS5 (and flash builder within that) - can anyone steer me in the right direction? How would I go about this?

Mobile Apps are standalone pieces of mobile software that you design, compile with Phone Gap and then upload to Google Play or Apple's App store. From there mobile users can purchase (most are free) download & install apps on their device. Apps include just about everything from GPS & traffic info, to sports, games, entertainment, health & fitness tracking. You name it, it's probably out there. A mobile app is not a web site, although the app may indeed be tied to the creator's web site so he can sell more apps. But an app is just an app. A web site is a web site. 2 different things.

Launchpad randomly rearranges apps

For some reason my launchpad will rearrange some of the apps/folders. It isn't all the time and it doesn't move a lot of apps, just a few apps and only a few spaces from their normal position. No one else uses the computer so I know it isn't someone else. Is there a way to stop launchpad from rearranging my apps?

I am definitely having this problem as well. I was beginning to think it was just me, as not many people are talking about it. Not a very serious problem, I know, but it can impede my workflow when I have to search for an app that has decided to move places for no apparent reason.
It seems to happen every time I restart, and possibly on some other random occasions. It really likes rearranging MS Office apps for some reason. I usually put Word next to Pages and they like to switch, causing me to open the wrong app and curse at my screen while I do a force quit. It even moved the MS Office folder I created full of those apps.
It would be nice to have a fix for this, but in the mean time I'll just keep grumbling at my screen unpleasantly.

My IPad 2 keeps randomly opening other apps and then typing jibberish. I see that many others have experienced this problem. What is the solution?

Back up just a second James! They have not offered to replace my IPad because I have been unable to get to the Apple Store. It would require me to take the day off work. I will have to plan this into my schedule. My statement behind Apple not being supportive is that they had no offereings for a fix. After so many have been brought back in and replaced(very expensive) you would think they would indicate to their customers that to try some fixes and if that doesnt resolve the problem, then it is probably a hardware issue and needs replacing. That is not the case! I had to do all the research and question posting to see what some of the fixes have been. And honestly, the only resolution to anyone else's posting of this matter has been a hardware replacement. I dont have a screen cover, I have reset and wiped the system completely, etc. etc. etc.
Do you not agree that in order to not waste people's time, that Apple come out with a statement indicating there have been some issues with the IPad2 that may have some measures to try in a fix and if not resolved the it might require a unit replacement? Yes, give some direction on some fixes and then if that doesnt work, make an appointment with Apple to see if a hardware issue is in place? Customer service in this country has died to the level of everyone becoming their own technician and researcher because a company doesnt want to take the time away from sales to actually provide and "do the right thing" Frankly, Im just sick of it.

No Service, Random Restarts, Apps Closing.

Has anyone experienced any of the following instances? Phone is laying somewhere and randomly will go from 4 or 5 bars to no service, sometimes even on while on wifi. Or you will be in an app and it just randomly closes on you. Or you will be in the middle of something and the screen does this matrix like fade to black and then just restarts on its own.

My girlfriend's new macbook is experiencing the same problem - or at least similar.
She'll put it to sleep only to find that upon waking it up, it "restarts" -- it starts at the blue screen, loads up the os, and gets back to the desktop. Once there, she finds her custom background is gone.
A restart fixes the problem.
My first suggestion is to create a whole new user and see if that fixes it.
trying running the hardware test program that the macbook came with as well. Another post said bad RAM may be the issue.
Failing that, I'd backup and do an archive and install.
Failing that, I'd take it in to Apple to have them look at it.
If I can come up with any solutions before that, I'll let everyone know.

Iphone 3G freezing and randomly opening apps...HELP

Ok, So my Iphone originally began freezing while using apps, phone, etc. The Apple store told me to do a hard restore and delete my old back-up files, set up as a new phone, etc. and it would fix the problem. They said it seemed like a broken or damaged software update problem. I have done that 3 times and its still not working right.
If I don't lock my phone and I leave it open, it will randomly open my Contacts and start clicking on contacts and it will end up calling someone. It also happens while Im on my Facebook app. If I am just looking at a friends page or something its like it clicks through and sends me to random places on Facebook. It does this on top of freezing while in the middle of writing a text message or performing any other task on my phone. To fix the freeze I have to exit out of the app and make my phone "sleep" and when I go back in, it will work. Does anyone have any advice on how to fix this irritating problem??

Yellow "minimize" button disappears. randomly. all apps

I've had this problem for as long as I can remember.
Randomly, the yellow minimize button (between the red and green buttons) on the
top bar of my apps gets grayed out, and no longer works. There's no
pattern to it - it's pretty random, and often happens to
several apps. Have not found a way to get it back, aside from
exiting and restarting the effected app(s).
When the app starts, all 3 buttons are present and working. At some
point, yellow fades to gray, and it's gone.
Sounds like an Aqua bug, but a very long-standing bug.

I have had this problem forever as well; all with Leopard. I've never installed WindowShade, but I do run Parallels 3.0 from time to time. I've never correlated this goofy and very annoying behavior with Parallels... The problem seems to creep in and out every day, usually affecting iCal, Mail and Firefox more than anything else (all at different times). I have correlated this with Spaces; the buttons typically come and go with more movement between spaces. Interestingly, if a yellow button disappears, I really don't HAVE to quit it to get the button back; just wait and sometime later after unknown operations it will be back. It always comes back if I quit the app and relaunch, but it will disappear again after a while.

IPod Touch randomly opening apps or music

My iPod Touch has started having a mind of it's own. Last night, my iPod started opening the Voice Control app and playing music at random. Weirdly, it only happens when my Earphones with Remote and Mic are connected. What should I do?

My ipad randomly quits apps

My iPad randomly stops working and shuts down an app returning to the home screen. Any fixes?

Try this:
1. Close all apps in the Task Bar. Double-click the Home button and hold apps down for a second or two. Tap the minus sign to close app.
2. Hold the Sleep and Home button down until you see the Apple Logo.

HT4623 I just updated to 8.02 and now my iPad randomly opens apps, new windows, kicks me out of wifi and the screen "jumps" constantly. Is anyone else having these problems? How can I fix it?

Update issues with iOS 8.02

the apple store replaced my ipad4 that experienced similar misbehavior ... the replacement now works well.
but before the replacement, they had me completely RESTORE the ipad to factory, which will put it into ios 8.0.2.
(remember to logout of icloud and turn off 'find my phone' first)
then rebuild by downloading your apps and NOT using your backups.
if the ipad continues to misbehave then most likely it's a hardware issue.

Random mass app crashing, need advice

Once in a while all my purchased applications would start crashing (quitting on startup). What's strange is that all of the stock apps that came with the iPhone would be fine but everything else is not. The only thing that would work in that case for me is deleting all the apps and restoring them from iTunes. But these mass crashes seem to be getting more frequent now so I was wondering if there is anything I could try doing to prevent this from happening. I entertained the idea of reverting to the original stock settings and effectively reinstalling everything but I'm not sure if that would help, would it? Is there anything else I could try before doing that?

Reboot the phone every now and then. It is just a computer and a new OS at that. It does (and will for a while) have bugs and memory leaks. Turning off and on is not rebooting. Turning off is just like "hibernate" on a laptop. So when you turn it back on, all that was in memory gets reloaded including issues.
Press and hold both the home and lock button. Keep holding both and ignore the slide to turn off message that will appear. Keep holding until you see the Apple Logo. This will do a full reboot of the phone.

IPad 4 (wifi+cellular) reboots itself randomly in apps.

Hi guys, I recently bought an iPad 4 and I've noticed the iPad 4 tends to reboot itself when I'm in applications, especially in high demanding memory apps like games or safari and even the apple store!
I bought it from Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia from an authorised apple store (premium seller) 2 days ago, but now I'm in Johor Bahru, Malaysia. And from what I've researched, Malaysia doesn't have applestores with genius bars like Australia does (where I'm from).
Today is the 3nd day since I've got it, was on IOS 6.0.1 when it kept rebooting so i upgraded it to IOS 6.1.3 (latest version) but the problem still persists, if anything, it's happening more frequently.
I've tried restoring it, soft rebooting it, nothing seems to work.
Any suggestions??
