RCVPOR blank on IDoc in R/3

Hi All,
I have a HTTP to IDoc scenario (HTTP > XI > R3).  For the Integration Repository, we are using the XSD from the imported IDoc from R3, with a minor change.  A message interface is also created.  In the Directory, 1 business system is created for R3 system with a receiver IDoc comm channel, 1 business service is created with for the http sender for the XI system.  Receiver determination, interface determination and the receiver agreement has been created.  This is essentially an IDoc XML pass through, no mapping or transformation rules.
My question is in regards to the RCVPOR.   It shows up blank when we create the IDoc in R3.  I thought this value was read from the Port field in the communication channel configuration in the directory?  It does not display that.  Also, Apply Control Values Record from payload is UNCHECKED, it has no correlation to the RCVPOR field.
Any thoughts?

Rock,
Can you check this small thing..
In XI system goto transaction IDX1 and check if you have created port for your R/3 system..port should be SAP + SYS-ID. Also RFC destination for same. Also check if you have imported idoc metedata ( TC:IDX2)
Also check following parameters in your receiver idoc adapter..
1.RFC Destination
2.Segment Version
3.Port
4.SAP Release.
Just try to re-create this  if it is already created.
I think we are missing one of this parameter..
Let us know the result.

    Hi,
I have triggered Idocs for material master changes.
For some materials, the material description is blank in idocs, however; we have the material description data in SAP.
I have checked the changes in material master, the changes made for material description also on the respective date.
Plesae let me know the cause of sending the material changed record with the description as blank.
Please consider it as a priority basis and help me.

I have loaded hundredthousands of materials via ALE method and never experienced a loss of material description.
If that would be the case, and you really just using the SAP standard, then you should open a message at SAP.
MAybe you implemented OSS Note 1364357 - Defined language for material master transfer
and then restricted the transfer to a certain language only.

  • Hi guru's what is RBDMOIND in crossapps

hi guru's what is RBDMOIND in crossapps help me plz

    Hi,
RBDMOIND-Status Conversion with Successful tRFC Execution
This report checks whether IDocs have been sent successfully using tRFC. If they have, the IDoc status is changed from '03 Data transfer to port OK' to '12 Sent OK'.  If the status of one IDoc has not been changed, this indicates that the tRFC for this IDoc has not yet been executed
    On the initial screen:
If a date is specified in the 'IDoc creation date (from)' field, all IDocs created since this date are checked.
If the field is left blank, all IDocs in the system with status 03 are checked.
An entry in the 'IDocs per Commit Work' means that a database commit saving the new status is carried out whenever the number of processed IDocs reaches this value.
If the status of an IDoc is not changed, this indicates that the aRFC has not been carried out for this IDoc.

  • Scul entries distribution

    Hello,
While distributing the users in scul, the users are not getting distributed the idocs are getting created in the receiving system as well. but the entries are not getting cleared. The distribution status for USER,PROFILE and ACTGRP is blank. the idoc status in target system is 53(successfully posted)
    Thanks in advance,
    laxman

    Hi Bernhard,
-> Pardon Me.  Yes. I had meant SCUL, unfortunately typed SUIM.
-> In our systems, Security Consultant donot have required authorisations to check the IDoc errors and we refer the requests to Interface (XI) consultants, who look at the issue & fix it. Similar kind of issue happend long back to me & they had resolved it for me.  Hence the suggestion.
FYI. My CUA-SCUL logs showed grey without any information in CUA, but in the child system the documents were processed and changes were effected. Now, there is a 15-20mins delay, but SCUL log in CUA to get updated.

  • IDoc (Control Record) RCVPOR

    Hi,
I'm posting an IDoc from XI to R/3 and field RCVPOR is coming out blank.
In the documentation, it says that it should be populated from the Port value in the receiver IDoc adapter.
Any Idea why it's blank? It is there in the receiver IDoc adapter settings.
Same problem with SNDPFC?  (This one I don't know were the value would come from).
All the other fields in the Control Record are being populated correctly since I have the
(Apply Control record Value from Payload) checked in the IDoc adapter.
Other question, if (Apply Control record Value from Payload) is checked, is there a way to overwrite some of the values or it's all or nothing?
    Rgds,
    Yves

Check you have configured the port in IDX1 transaction. Should be something like SAP<SID>.
    > Same problem with SNDPFC?  (This one I don't know

Do you really need this? It's rarely used. Usually just the partner type is used, not the partner function... (but read below).

In my config I also have "Apply Control record Value from Payload" checked. In the mapping I do NOT disable the control rec, but put empty constants on mandatory fields. Then you can set whatever you want, including the SNDPFC.
    Let me know.

  • IDoc output is not showing blank fields before the carriage return

When we produce the Material Master IDoc (MATMAS), we send it to a ascii file, to a file port.  That works fine when we execute BD10 to produce the IDoc and the file.  But, the 3rd party mapping software wants to see every field, even if blank, in each segment it is fed.  So, let's say the E1MARCM segment is 750 chars, when you add up all the field lengths in the structure, but the last 5 fields are blank.  SAP does not include those trailing blanks at the end of the segment in the file.  It just puts a carriage return.  How can we configure it to output the trailing blanks?

    Hi Mark Mathison
In IDoc ....if no value is passed in to that field then, the field wonu2019t be populated in Doc....
There is no chance of getting blank field in IDocs...

  • IDoc to file - how to delete a blank record at the end of the file.

    Hi,
My senario is IDoc to file.  I have successfully implemented this using FCC. But when i checked the flat file, it has a blank record at the end of the file( i think PI adds one blank line/record at the end of the file).  Please suggest me What i need to do, to delete the blank record .
    Thanks & regards
    Sreeni

    Kindly Check below.
Check whether the problem is at mapping level of  adapter level.. to do this count no. of rows/IDOC before mapping and after mapping in IE and no. of rows in the output file.

  • Mapping IDOC to CSV file - Missing blank field values in CSV file

    Hello:
I am mapping an IDOC to a .csv file, using File Content Conversion.  I specify comma as the value for the parameter 'fieldSeparator'.  I get a .csv file, but blank field values are missing in the .csv file.
For example, if the .csv file format is <field1>,<field2>,<field3>
and if <field2> is blank, then the .csv file contains
    <field1>,<field3>

    Hi Bac,
As long as the XML that goes to your File Receiver Channel contains the elements, even if they don't contain values, it should work fine.
    For example:
    <field1>data</field1>
    <field2></field2>
    <field3>data2</field3>
I suspect that your XML looks like the following:
    <field1>data</field1>
    <field3>data2</field3>
If this is the case you can update your map. You shouldn't need to put a space, just make sure the element gets created.
    Thanks,
    Jesse

  • RCVPOR is missing the Inbound IDoc

    Hi all,
I am getting IDoc from the XI with the status code 56.
I found that receipt port is missing in the control record.
If I use sender partner type as LS, it is working fine. When I use the sender partner type as KU IDocs are not getting posted successfully, the port for the recipient information in the control record of the inbound IDoc is empty and all other filled are filled.
    Any suggestions please
    Thank you
    Regards
    Harsha

    Dear Harsha,
can you explain how you solved the issue - I am experiencing exactly the same problem. I am receiving the same Message type from several other systems (not LI, but LS), and we are receiving other message types for the same partner. -> in all other cases the RCVPOR is filled correctly.
We are using webMethods and not XI, the RCVPOR is sent correctly by the middleware.

  • Strange Problem.. File to Idoc... RCVPOR is missing in control Records.

    Hi All,
    File to Idoc:
    Sender :
    Party : PT_ABC
    Business Service : BS_ABC
Note : I provided the LS name(PARTABC) for BS_ABC Under Adapter Specific identifiers.
    Receiver :
Business system (Without party) : BS_DEV_R/3
In the IDOC receiver communication channel, I enabled the options
    -Apply COntrol records from Payload
    -Take sender from Payload
    -Take Receiver from Payload.
Note : When i won't enable the above three options in IDoc RCV channel... Message is not processing and showing error as "Unable to convert the sender service BS_ABC to an ALE logical system..!"..
File is picked and message processed and when i checked in SXMB_MONI,Idoc control records are showing clearly like below.
    - <EDI_DC40 SEGMENT="1">
      <TABNAM>EDI_DC40</TABNAM>
      <DIRECT>2</DIRECT>
      <IDOCTYP>ORDERS05</IDOCTYP>
      <CIMTYP>ORDERS05</CIMTYP>
      <MESTYP>ORDERS</MESTYP>
      <STDMES />
      <SNDPOR>SAPDPI</SNDPOR>
      <SNDPRT>LS</SNDPRT>
      <SNDPRN>PARTABC</SNDPRN>
      <RCVPOR>SAPDL1</RCVPOR>
      <RCVPRT>LS</RCVPRT>
      <RCVPRN>DEVSAP</RCVPRN>
      </EDI_DC40>
But the Idoc is reached to R/3 with status '56' .And in the control records.. the receiver port (SAPDPI) is missing.
I dunno what happened. When i cross checked, the remaining interfaces are working perfectly.
    Any idea whats going wrong?
    Regards
    Deepthi.

As a matter of fact it is not strange at all:)
It means you need to check the partner profile in the receiving r/3 system. This type of problem occurs because you need to define the partner profile PARTABC to the IDOC ORDERS05. If this association is missing you would always see the RCVPOR missing in the destination system.
Also you have mentioned that "Note : When i won't enable the above three options in IDoc RCV channel... Message is not processing and showing error as "Unable to convert the sender service BS_ABC to an ALE logical system..!"..
This is because for the BS_ABC sender service you must have a logical system associated; you can check the same by looking at the adapter specific identifiers. In your case I believe it is empty so the system can't find the logical system for it.

  • Sending Master IDocs with blank fields

    Hi iDoc Experts,
I'm sending Driver Master data to external system through IDoc type OILDRV01.
The external system need the IDoc data in consistent state, but I have a problem when a field is blank in the master table OIGD the corresponding tag doesn't get generated.
For example, when driverstatus field is blank the generated IDoc is missing the drvstatus tag altogether, and the iDoc structure becomes inconsistent. So, I need to make this a mandatory field.
I was trying to extend the original IDoc type OILDRV01, but that doesn't seem like a reliable option.
I wonder if I could achieve this though an enhancement to FM: MASTERIDOC_CREATE_SMD_OILDRV01.
But I don't know the necessary steps to do this.
Any suggestion would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks in Advance

    Hi Experts,
As u suggested this Enhancement was worked fine.
But the IDoc tag <DRVSTATUS></DRVSTATUS> is still not getting generated.
It's not clear what I'm missing here.
Pls, any suggestion will be greatly appreciated.

  • Blank spaces at the end of an IDoc text field get lost when posted to R/3

    Hi Guys,
I am facing the following issue:
In an XML file-to-Idoc scenario, there are spaces at the end of a text field in the inbound XML file, which I can see when I open the inbound file with a text editor like notepad, and they are kept after XI mapping is executed (I can see them in message mapping simulator). However, it seems that these spaces get lost once the IDoc is posted to SAP R/3 and they are not visible on SAP R/3 side.
Do you have any idea ? Thanks.
    Best Regards,
    Evaggelos Gkatzios

That means SAP is removing the spaces from IDoc fields, where you spaces are not allowed. Does it create any problem?
    Thanks,
    Nabendu.

  • IDOC segment fields prefixing blank space with values

    Hi Experts,
I am sending data through custom IDOC from SAP to XML which generates successfully but getting 2 problems in the data.
its having 3 level idoc segments:
    SEGMENT1 with 1 field (field_name(20))
    SEGMENT2 with 3 fields, (code_g(20), field_name(20), value(20))
    SEGMENT3 with 4 fields, (code(20), field_name(20), Language(2) & text(20))
When i check the idoc in WE02,
    1. i found that segment2-value field is prefixing some space along with the values.
Eg: if the output is "0111" whihc is plant, in the output (WE02) it is giving "       0111"
    2. Segment3-language is no where in the output and text which should come as "011" is coming like "       EN011" means it is concatinating language field value and displaying it with the text field value with prefixing space.
This is happening in PRD not in QA & DEV. I also checked the transport req and everything, Its same everywhere.
Can anyone please help me on this.
    Regards,
    Nik

    Hi,
This issue happnes when u are moving the data to iDOC segement with offset.
to aviod this improper move instead of using offset statement use below mentioned code.
    decalare a structure as
    Data SEG1 type SEGMENT1 ,
            SEG2 type SEGMENT2,
           SEG3 type SEGMENT3.
    then while moving
    SEG2-code_g = 'XXXX'
    SEG2-field_name = 'YYYY'
    SEG3-value = 'ZZZZ'
here u are moving the segment values to idoc data (SDATA) and then append it.
    move seg3 to idoc-sdata.
    then append it to idoc.
    hope this helps
