Re-activating a Cost center

SAp Gurus,
I set-up a Cost Center for deletion by mistake, I now want to undelete it, or reactivate it, how can I do that? Or is it possible? do I have to create it again.

You have to recreate it with the same validity dates.

In REM scenario , some activity happens in production when actual production is not taking place.

In REM the activity will be issued to the Cost Collector. Later you can settle this cost collector to some object.
What you mention can be solved using some activity posting between cost center (CO Consultant)

if you want to run an assessment of cost centers to CO-PA, you should create and run a cycle in KEU5.

I have gone to this particular transaction code, I have given period from
1 to 12 and fil year 2007
and given test run,
and given Detal list
its asking me the cycle , and date
where i there is no cycle being defined and date given as 22.02.2008
Its throughing the error msg cycle has not been created.

Hi Shamul,
Please try the following transactions;
1. Cost center / Cost center group etc
Transaction: OKE6
IMG menu: Controlling > General Controlling > Production Start-up Preparation > Transport Settings for Master Data
2. Profit center / Profit center group etc
Transaction: 0KEQ
IMG menu: Controlling > Profit Center Accounting > Tools > Transport Customizing Settings > Transport Master Data

Activity Type set up for cost center

Hi All ,
While creating a task list i m getting a message
Activity type is not set up for cost center in the year 2008
Message no. CR062
How could i set the activity type for cost center? Plz tell the procedure.

Dear Sunil,
Check out this,
1.Create a Cost center using T code - KS01.
2.Create an activity type using T code - KL01.
3.Assign the Rates for an activity type & cost center combination using T code KP26.
4.In the input screen of T code KP26 ,enter version as 0, from period 1 and to period as 12 and the Fiscal
Year as 2008,enter the cost center, activity type click on overview screen (F5)---> enter the per hour Rate
under Fixed price and set value as 2 for distribution key and plan price indicator as 3.
5.After performing this ,while creating the work center ,this combination of activity type & cost center
should be assigned.Then while creating routing/task list this work center can assigned for performing
operations.
Check with this & revert back if you need any further help.

How to Book Activity Type to the Cost Center

Hi Guys
How should I put Activity type and a value to it in the cost center.
In the Assessment Cycle I am getting the error as the reciever : Cost Center has Activity type assigned to it but there is no value in the Activity type.
Can some one help me out on how the activity is initially linked to the Cost Center.
and how will we put activity value in the cost center.

Hi,
Use T.code KP26.
Here enter the version as '0' & then enter the activity type, cost center & then click the overview icon in the top.
A new screen will appear, here you can enter the fixed/vairable price.
This activity type is to be assigned in the work center (T.code cr02), costing tab.

Planning at KP26 for Activities itself is integration between Activity and Cost center.
Once you do this, your problems is solved.

i have to upload some data in tcode CAT2. There is Cost center that appears in header record of this employee (say 1000) in this transaction ( and say his KOSTL is D010000).
But when i try to update any other cost center with an activity type, it gives me error message and does not allow me to save data.
However, if the COST CENTER <b>CATEGORY</b> is same for all three (activity type, Cost center m tryin to upload and Cost center in header), it allows to save and upload the data.
so my ques is :-
is it necessary to have cost center category same for all the 3 fields or is there some conf. problem?
plz help !!!!!!!

BAPI_GLX_GETDOCITEMS and no Cost Center Data

Hi,
i'm using the BAPI "BAPI_GLX_GETDOCITEMS" to extract all documents from General Ledger. This BAPI returs the structure "ITEMSLIST" which contains a field for the Cost Center. I took a look at several Documents via FB03 and there are many documents with a specified Cost Center.
When i use the BAPI to extract all documents for a specific Company Code, the Cost Center field is always empty.
Does anyone know what the problem might be and how i could fix this?
I am using Pentaho Data Integration (and it's SAP Plugin) to connect to a SAP R/3 System.

thanks for the answer. You were right, i am in New GL and I just checked the table "FAGLFLEXA" and there is really no Cost Center saved at any table entry.
Is there another possibility to get Cost Center Data without activating the Cost Center Scenario (FIN_CCA), perhaps extracting documents from SAP CO? I've heard, that New GL supports a real time integration of CO with FI.

Hi all,
I'm having problems with activating the cost center field too. I've already checked OMBW and OMJJ. For OMJJ, cost center field was required. For OMBW, Cost Center field was Supressed. However, when I checked the Change Logs, no changes were performed since last year. The user who raised this issue had the cost center field activated until December 1, 2008 but now it's deactiavted. So I don't think it's OMBW responsible for this since there was no change since last year.
Please share your knowledge on this.

for Activity based costing
1. Master data are
>>Material master with Accounting and costing views and proper valuation class and price assignment (S or V)
>> Valid BOM
>> Workcenter with valid costcenter, activity and formaula assignment ( CO activity - Primary cost element, secondary cost element, activity definition, cost center creation and price planning (KP26)
>> valid Routing with Standard values
if all the master data are maintained then you can create the standard cost estimate using a appropriate costing variant
( Example PPC1)
once successfully created you can review the quantity structure for cost of Goods sold, overheads, activity costs etc.
then it will be released for price update in material master.
the release of cost estimate wil be a periodic process may be monthly or yearly

PM Order Confirmation using Personnel's Cost Center and Activity Type

Is it possible to have PM Order confirmation (IW41) using Cost Center and Activity type from Personnel instead of default from Work Center? If it is, can it be done with some configuration or user exit? Please advise. Thank you.

Hi friend,
Order confirmation will be done for order operations.While doing confirmation we post the actual work done by the repective work center and respective activity type assigned to the same workcenter.
But these activity types are assigned to cost center for cost calculation.confirming the respective operation in maintenance order through workcenters gives the report of planned work and actual work done by the respective workcenter.
We cannot confirm the operation using costcenter and activity type directly through transaction IW41.
If you want to develop new confirmation screen and making confirmation of the respective order operation with only costcenter and activity type fields, you can do it .

BA activation - Error in Document level - cost center validaty date error

Hi,
We have activated business area for a perticular Cocode,
The problem is,
All the cost center were assigned to Business area from valid date 1.1.08,
But when an entry is passed before the cost center validy date, that is if an entry is passed on 31.12.2007 there is an error msg,
Cost center not assigned to Business area on 31.12.2007. how should this problem be solved. But if i try posting it on or after 1.1.2008, there is no message and the entry is posted.
and also in F.01 when tried to execute BA Statement, there is not data displyed, but there are transaction posted.
Please help me out of it. It is very urgent.

I have done that.
I have given Valid from as 1.1.08 to 31.12.999.
But there are some transaction that has to be posted as of 31.12.2007. When the entries are passed, i get an error Msg,
Cost center XXX20 is not assigned to any business area.
How do i solve this issue.
