Bye.
I think that to avoid install, the software could be located on a shared
drive,
and users linking to it through running 'ftexec' or directly the compiled
binaries.
For nodes not to appear in the environment as nodes, they could be defined
as members
of a model node '(which then would be in the environmnet)'
Putting a password in the environment could prevent nodes to be registered
there, but
might prevent the apps from being executed.
Cheers,

Y'a t'il moyen de ne pas installer les noeuds de ces postes clients sur l'
active environnement lié au développement et si oui comment?

Warning: SUID file “System/Library/CoreServices/RemoteManagement/ARDAgent.app/Contents/MacOS/ARDAg ent” has been modified and will not be repaired. When I repaired "disk permission", this message was what came up. What does this mean, and how can I fix it?
The opperating system I am using is 10.7.4, and updating to the latest version currently. Computer is running fine, except that when I did some utility repairs, I got the warning above, and not really sure what do, in regards to repairing it correctly, not just getting the message off of my computer.
Thank you for your help, and please only contribute if you know about this issue please. That's a status message which can be safely ignored.

I recently upgraded both Pages 09 (I believe) and went to OSX 10.9 Maverick .... now I am unable to send a pages document to a friend on gmail. Google rejects the message and attachment with the following explanation -
The reason for the problem:
5.3.0 - Other mail system problem 552-'5.7.0 This message was blocked because its content presents a potential\n5.7.0 security issue.Same Problem here
IWORKS 09 pages, keynote, numbers does not send in MAIL (mac) because of "This message was blocked because its content presents a potentialsecurity issue"
its a problem not only on GMAIL but also Live, Hotmail, Yahoo, and other services...
The problem is that gmail and others haved yet accepted the latest iworks 09 files. its a problem that apple can ask then to fix but its up to the gmail and others to fix it.
Solution!!!:
1 - Send it by exporting to office files
2 - Saving the files as old iwork documents
3 - Command P and save as PDF
4 - Save in icloud and send the URL
So you can still send them but have to take a bit more of your time
i hope you understand my english is not optimal
And if you have any questions feel free to ask me -
I can receive emails from this person, but I cannot send without getting a return to sender reply with this message? Appreciate your help.
Talk to your email provider. The error message is from them.

This message was not downloaded from the server
I have purchased a iphone the first week they were introduced. My problem is with pop email. I keep getting the message " this message has not been downloaded from the server" when I open a email with a lot of html graphics. After reloading the email many times I am able to get the email. Sometimes it takes only 2 times but sometimes it take 20 times. This has been happening since the first day I got the iphone. I thought it was because of a slow connection but it also happens on wifi. I thought apple would fix this problem eventually. But I don't think that is going to happen anytime soon. I have seen this problem being reported on this forum and is apparently quite widespread. I have also reported to apple in there feedback section. No response yet. There is a work around to forward pop email account to an imap account. I don't consider this a solution. Does anyone have any other solutions?
(1) Why does it happen?
The short answer is "I am not 100% sure why, and Apple have not said why!", but all I can really do now is to google it, and make up my own mind!
My Guess: I don't think that the Mail application on the iPhone actually saves any attachments on the iPhone when you download emails! It saves the body of the email, but NOT the attachments.
Why? Because if you attempt to browse an older email, which has an attachment, it gives you the message "Loading..." and after a couple of seconds it tells you "This message has not been downloaded from the server". BUT: If you attempt to do the same thing, with WiFi & EDGE turned OFF, then the Mail application will display the email body immediately, and give you a link to the attachments, that you can click on to download.
Basically it proves that the iPhone does not save attachments on the iPhone, only the email body!
(2) Can you fix this?
Well, this normally happens when you collect your email on your iPhone using the POP protocol!
Most of us download our email onto computers and select the option in Outlook/Outlook Express to "leave the email on the server for x days", typically 5 or 10 (which I do) days. We then setup our iPhones to download the same email, but to LEAVE it on the server - or "Delete from server: Never".
This means that for 10 days your iPhone will be able to access a specific email on the email server, and will be able to download (view) that attachment whenever you want.
BUT: AFTER this 10 day period your computer will remove that specific email from the mail server, and then your iPhone will not be able to retrieve it from the server. Which also means that you will not be able to read any attachments from the mail server.
SO, when your iPhone Mail app tries to download THAT attachment, it will not be able to, and INSTEAD of just displaying the email body, and the attachment link, it displays the error message: "This message has not been downloaded from the server"...
(3) Why does the iPhone NOT just save the attachment on the iPhone?
I have NO idea! Apple should definitely speak out about this and come up with a fix!
(4) Why Apple does NOT save the attachment? (My guess)
Well, if you are constantly re-downloading any attachment that you attempt to view on your iPhone, then you will constantly be downloading data using your EDGE package! AND your Mobile Service Provider CHARGES you a massive rate (per MB) to download data using EDGE! Which means that they (AT&T / MTN / Orange / whatever) are making loads of cash off you re-downloading your email attachments. Is this right?
(5) Quick Fix?
Change the settings on your computer so that it leaves the email on the server for an extended period of time! Change the 3 days, or 10 days to something like 30 days! This means that your iPhone will be able to re-download the attachment for a 30 day period after it has initially downloaded the email.
BUT you are STILL re-downloading the attachment, and while you are waiting, YES, WAITING.... you are still being charged for the data traffic!
The problem here is that some service providers only give you a 10MB email account on their server. This might not be enough for users who receive 100's of emails on a weekly basis!
(6) Longer Fix?
Change your email account from a POP account to an IMAP account.
Problem #1: Here again is that not all service providers offer IMAP facilities! Also, the emails would reside on your server.
Problem #2: You are still re-downloading all those attachments again! $$$
(7) The REAL solution?
The real solution needs to come from Apple! They need to increase the size of the first partition on the iPhone that you save your emails in. Maybe they need to save attachments in the second (media) partition so that you can always access them? At the moment the first partition on the iPhone is really small, just big enough for the OS and a few applications, never mind 100's of attached pictures and mp3s, etc that we commonly send around cyberspace! -
IE PC 6 users, check this site.
I just checked the site below and the QuickTime movies smear across the entire site when you scroll. Does it do the same on your system? (If you were curious as to what a QuickTime movie looks like when it's smearing across the page, this is it. And it's quite ugly. )
http://web.mac.com/makentosh/iWeb/tipsfromtheiceberg/Blog/86C1701F-8A86-486E-A6C 9-72F5621F5342.html
Just one more reason to scare off IE users. I'm also curious as to whether or not it looks fine with IE 7.Kyn,
Theoretically, using a jpg instead of a png should prevent the problem, BUT I think that iWeb will automatically change the jpg to a png when publishing, in which case the problem would remain. You can still use a png image as the page background, but do it following these instructions (step 1 is the most important one):
In iWeb, in each of your pages with the QuickTime controller,
1) go to the "Page" heading in the Inspector window and under "Page Background" select "None" (The Browser Background can have a color fill without affecting this issue.)
2) on the main iWeb window at the bottom, click "Shapes" and select the square
3) drag the newly created square all the way up the page, without yet resizing it, so that it is within the "header" section of the page (where the navigation menu is)
4) now leave it there and move the pointer back down to the bottom of the page and click "Backward" until the square shape is behind all of the menu text
5) now drag one of the corners of the square to resize it OR use the inspector pane (click on the ruler icon to get the "Metrics" pane) to resize and position it so that it spans the entire page.
6) again using the inspector, select the "Graphic" pane, and choose the fill type (color fill, gradient fill, etc.) for this new background. In the stroke section, select none, unless you want a border around the page background.
7) publish.

Hi, I am a MacBookPro user (10.6.8). When I tried to open my iTunes, it says "This copy of iTunes is corrupted or is not installed correctly. Please reinstall iTunes." I really dont know what to do, I would be glad if you could help me.
All you have to do is download iTunes again, run the installer, then trash the installer.
See this Apple doc for step-by-step instructions -> Troubleshooting iTunes installation on Mac OS X -
Tired of querying Multi Domain Users check this out.
Nice script, I feel for you what a crazy environment... 10 Domains... Ouch. :S
I now work with AD in 10+ domains and I find changing -server forest name annoying, thus the reason I wrote this little function. I thought it was worth posting, let me know what you think.

I would set the completion event for the display method of the new window and
register to this event in the main window as you see in the attached .pex file.
With this solution it is possible to handle a failor in the new window in order
to bahave like the normal completion and cause the deletion of the input element
in the main window.

--------------4E6A4194374DC1BDF50CB1A1--Bobby,
The simplest solution I think would be to use grids and map them to some business class - which I suppose you must be already using. In the event handler of the first window (button.click event) after you call the display method of the second window you can new the business class.

I have a frame with a button on it that will open up another frame. When I
close the second frame by pressing the X in the top right hand corner, I
want to clear all the data on the first screen. I have been trying all
sorts of things without success. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how
to do this?

I get this pop-up message about every 5 minutes.
I am not an IT professional or advanced user so please provide a simple solution. Thank you.I'm having this problem too. Tried the above link and thinking that sounded pretty straight forward, unfortunately this message was displayed:

Exchange Edge 2010 content filtering "This attachment was removed"
I have this dilemma with exchange edge 2010 in our environment. Every time there is a spam email that is stripped by edge content filtering, the stripped email get delivered to user with "This attachment was removed." along with content of the
email.
Is there way to disable that notification or delivery to user?If you don't want the user to get the notification, I believe you can set the Edge Transport server to silently delete the message.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb124399%28v=exchg.150%29.aspx
Use this cmdlet option to look at the config:
Get-AttachmentFilterListConfig
Use this to just delete the message:
Set-AttachmentFilterListConfig -ActionSilentDelete

Why is This message being relayed?
I have my relay settings to only accept 127.0.0.0/8 and 192.168.88.0/24, so how did this message get through?

This weekend I found that someone was sending thousands of spam messages through my server even though I use authentication. You need to look further back in your logs for the answer.
Dec 5 19:55:34 mycompany postfix/smtp[24709]: 6852E91833E: to=<[email protected]>, relay=cluster4.us.messagelabs.com[216.82.250.19]:25, delay=256, delays=0.01/0.01/69/186, dsn=2.0.0, status=sent (250 ok 1323136534 qp 15594 server-5.tower-87.messagelabs.com!1323136279!47765957!1)
The 'Accept SNMP relays...' option only relates to blind/untrusted relaying - if a connection comes from these IP addresses then accept the message, but that's not the only method that postfix will allow. If a user authenticates against the server (using one of the authentication methods you've selected) then they can also relay mail, regardless of their IP address.
Therefore, my first guess would be that someone's guessed a valid username/password on your server and is therefore using an authenticated connection. This can happen easily if users don't have strong passwords.
You'll need to track back through your logs to find where this message was injected into the mail queue. Start off by searching for that message ID (6852E91833E) in the logs, or look back in time (this message has been in the queue for 256 seconds. Eventually that will tell you where it came from, and what user authenticated the connection. Then shut down that account until you can change that user's password and educate them on how to choose effective passwords. -
What does this message mean from the console log?

My computer has been really slow to respond and this message was displayed repeatedly on the log at about the time the problem started. This seems to suggest that it could be filenames… (see the final posts).

Replace dashes, underscores, hyphens & any other funky looking characters. Very long filenames of folder paths may cause trouble too. -
I deleted a text message from a number I forgot to save. Is there a way to find this message again ?
The only way would be to restore the phone from a backup made by syncing the phone while this message was still on it. Note: this would revert all data and settings to those in the backup, not just messages.

It's an obvious scam designed to cheat you out of your money.
Delete it and forget about it.
No reputable company would ever contact a customer in this way.
Isn't that your number?
