some programs dont register theirselfs in the +software+tab
for many of them it's suitable to run the installationprogram which offers a +modofy/deinstall+ routine
what programs you like to get rid of?
run +computer > programs and features > uninstall or modify+
if you wanna remove features of vista itself it's a bit trickier...

If you drag-installed it, just delete the application. If it came with an installer, use an uninstaller supplied by the application's creator, or a product such as AppZapper if none exists.

Recently I installed VM Fusion on my new MBP with SnowLeopard. The annoying issue is that when I right click on a file from SL and select "open with" I get a long list with windows programs that I don't intend to use. Is there a way to remove those programs when I select "open with". Thank you

no, there isn't. this list is generated by the launch services database and you can't control it manually.

How to remove case on Satellite P100?

Hi sorry if this has been asked before I've tried searching but can't find the answer.
How do open the case and remove the video card from a P100-240?
I've removed every screw I can find but can't get the case to part.

I've read somewhere else on the forum that the video card isnt part of the motherboard on the P100 but attaches on the bottom of it. I just want to get in and see if its easy to remove as my card is ok but the motherboard has gone I have a chance of another p100-240 but the video card is not working hoped I could swap them and get a working machine.

Sounds like it is looking at the items in the download queue as the same items you are trying to sync and it (correctly) won't copy them because it would cause duplicates.

I was wondering if anyone knew how to remove programs from your computer entirely. I dont mean just dragging it into your trash and deleting.

"Trashing" an application is exactly how to get rid of it. Period.
That said, most applications do leave additional files in various places. In almost all cases, these will be ".plist" files, but there is the occasional application that will place something in the "Application Support" folder in one or more library folders. Again in most cases, these files don't actually do anything without the application present, and they consume very little disk space.
Third-party components or system modifications, as opposed to applications (an example would be Flip4Mac) are a different story. In most cases, these hard-to-extract items will come with an "Uninstaller" (Flip4Mac does) which will remove all of the components properly. But, it is important to note that in every case, these "Uninstallers" merely do the same thing that you could do manually, only they do it more thoroughly than you might (namely, they merely delete the pertinent files).
Keep in mind that an application might include itself in your Login Items, or place itself in your Dock. In such cases, it is necessary to manually remove the application from the appropriate location if you trash the application, itself. Again, some apps (not many) come with an "Uninstaller" that will do this for you.
If you are really that concerned about the "leftover" files for an application that you simply place in the trash, the correct method is to search for those files in Spotlight, then move them to the trash from the results window. Using the name of the application in question will normally yield the correct files.

Hi received my incredible a few days ago and I have to say Verizon has a hit on there hands. Awsome phone besides the battery life. Does anyone know how to remove programs and apps? Also I remember when I watched a review on the phone it should your programs plus it seperated the programs you downloaded. Cant seem to find how to do this.

From the home screen go to menu --> settings --> applications --> manage applications. Select the one you want to remove and then you can uninstall it.
Note that you cannot remove any core app's or pre-installed apps.
The only way I can think of the you can separate your apps from the stock apps would be by setting up your home screens. Dragging and dropping your icons onto different screens (you have 7). However the phone doesn't do it automatically.

Somehow, I accidently downloaded a program called iBario and it installed itself onto my safari toolbar. It's really annoying and I cannot figure out how to delete it. Does anyone know how to remove programs from safari?

Tell them you are Mac / Safari and you need instructions on how to remove this toolbar.

So that Toolbar is more then likely for Windows not Mac.

Satellite A - How to remove ConfigFree?

When starting my Satellite I am getting a missing ini error. NDSNLS.ini
I tried to uninstall Config Free and it will not let me. When trying to download new config free tells me there is a newer version installed and will not contintue. How can I manually remove this from my system and restall to get rid of this error.

Step 4 Scroll down through the list until finding "Toshiba ConfigFree." The list is in alphabetical order, so it will most likely be towards the bottom.
Step 5 Click "Toshiba ConfigFree" and select "Remove."
Step 6 Click "Yes" when asked if your sure about removing the software. Toshiba ConfigFree will now be removed from the computer.

How do I remove an advertising program by the name of SmartSuggestor? I cant find it in the ad ons and I cant find it in my add remove programs on my pc.

I keep getting these stupid ads that are apparently from smartsuggestor but I cant find the program anywhere on my pc then I contacted the company and they tell me that it is a firefox issue yet i cant find it in the firefox settings either. I went into the Smart Suggestor site and the name of the extension/program came up as "No extension Found". I cant find anything that even resembles anything to do with the program at all not in the add remove program through control panel or through the extension plug ins area in firefox and was wondering if anyone else has had the same problem.
I did not download this crap then all of a sudden I am plagued with pop up adds and other sorts of advertising all stemming from this bloody Smart Suggestor. I have got myself a good pc cleaner along with a few Malware removers and also upgraded my security programming but nothing will either find nor rid my pc of this problem. Do a malware check with several malware scanning programs on the Windows computer. 
Please scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.

Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.

Mozilla 5.0 did not finish install. not in listed in remove programs list to uninstall. How do I find it to uninstall as it will not let me reinstall previous version and i now have no internet access?

i installed service pack 3(windows) My system is a dell desktop running XP. Then when done a message popped up and said receommended to install yahoo firefox version 5.X. Install of firefox did not finish apparently now I have not access to internet and cannot reinstall it as it thinks the previuos install is not completed and keeps telling me to reboot which I have done a billion times. How to remove Java Applications from "Add and Remove Programs" list?

I have deployed my Java applications (both JWS and Applet) via JNLP with allow-offline option enabled and without installer-desc option specified.
My questions are:
1. An entry is added to the Add and Remove Programs list after launching the application via JNLP. Is it due to the specification of JNLP or JWS? Is there anyway to prevent this behavior?
2. I removed my application by clearing the cache via Java Control Panel but the entry for the application is still listed in Add and Remove Programs. How can I remove the entry in the Add and Remove Programs?
I have tried following methods but neither works:
1.Go to Add and Remove Programs, and click [remove] button to the right of my application.
*Warning message like 'Application cannot be uninstalled completely' is thrown.
2.Follow instructions listed @ [Microsoft Online Support site|http://support.microsoft.com/kb/314481/en-us] to remove my application manually via Windows registry.
*Couldn't find appropriate registry entry to delete.

What application do you want to uninstall?
On Mac, most of the applications are uninstalled just dragging them to the Trash. If an application comes with an uninstaller, use it instead to uninstall that application.
Also, never use a cleaning app to uninstall an application. They can damage OS X, so the only option will be reinstall the operating system
