Read Text using SO10

Dear all,
i m Creating Text using SO10.
Now i want to Bold or High light some text and want to change font size.
how can i.
actually first time i m using SO10 for creting own text.
Thanx in advance

Hi,
Use the character format in the standard text. It automatically shows the format which you want. If you are assigning SO10 text in smartform don't forgot to assign style to the text node.
Example:
write the message like below
<C1>Message</> <C2> is here</>
After C1 close your message with /
Make sure that Character formats C1 & C2 should be there in the style format.

  • Transporting Text using SO10

    Hello,
    I have created some text using SO10 in dev environment. These text hass to be moved to QA. We dont get transports created for these texts.
    So what is the alternative and best way to move the text from Dev to QA?

    Hi Rajasekhar,
      The standard text created in SO10 transaction never asks for a transport request while it is getting saved in SAP box.  So we need to create a transport request for it.  follow the below procedure.
    1) in SE38 run the program RSTXTRAN.
    2) it will asks for the transport request.  create a new transport request in SE10 and give this request here.
    3) save the std text in this transport request.
    4) now give this request number to BASIS people who will transport the object to QA box.
    thanks & regards

  • Standard Texts using SO10

    Hi,
    I am using SO10 for Interview letters, Rejection letters..etc with Text ID 'PALT'. But when ever I try to create a new text in SO10 or even display and change,it opens with a DOC/RTF format rather than the normal SAP script editor. Due to this I am not able to use the options like Insert( for program and system symbols) that are available in SAP Script editor... What can be done?? Pls guide me.. I am working on ECC 6.0 version of SAP.
    Regards,
    Anu.

  • Problem  with Fonts for my Dunning form using SO10

    Hello Gurus,
    I have developed a Form for Dunning and have assigned 2 different standard texts (using SO10) for 2 dunning levels and I assigned the same paragraph format for both.(in my case P5 is paragraph format). I am using the same printer to print both the forms but the <b>font on the printout is different for both</b>....
    Could you please tell me what might be the reason for it and how do i resolve it?
    Thanks in Advance
    Ravi

    Hi..
    When u r using the <b>INCLUDE TEXT</b>..
    and if you are using the <b>STYLES</b> then the style formats will be applied to the <b>FIRST INCLUDE</b> onli..
    for the <b>second INCLUDE</b> the default format of the <b>FORM</b> will be applied..
    After first INCLUDE implicitly the STYLE FORMATS will be switched of..
    again Include the style after the first include .. then u will get the required output !!

    reward if it helps u..

    What is use of Read-Text  command in Sapscript  plz replay
    i m geting problem with read-text command in sapscript as will as
    perform and endperform .

    Hi Majid,
              It's a function module to read the texts from a text file. Generally it is used to retrieve the long texts.
    The function module reads the desired text from the text file, the text memory, or the archive. You must fully specify the text using OBJECT, NAME, ID, and LANGUAGE. An internal work area can hold only one text; therefore, generic specifications are not allowed with these options.
    After successful reading, the system places header information and text lines into the work areas specified with HEADER and LINES.
    If a reference text is used, SAPscript automatically processes the reference chain and provides the text lines found in the text at the end of the chain. If an error occurs, the system leaves the function module and triggers the exception REFERENCE_CHECK.
    CALL FUNCTION 'READ_TEXT'

    Export parameters
    Specify the client under which the text is stored. If you omit this parameter, the system uses the current client as default.
    Reference field: SY-MANDT
    Default value: SY-MANDT
    OBJECT
    Enter the name of the text object to which the text is allocated. Table TTXOB contains the valid objects.
    Reference field: THEAD-TDOBJECT
    NAME
    Enter the name of the text module. The name may be up to 70 characters long. Its internal structure depends on the text object used.
    Reference field: THEAD-TDNAME
    ID
    Enter the text ID of the text module. Table TTXID contains the valid text IDs, depending on the text object.
    Reference field: THEAD-TDID
    LANGUAGE
    Enter the language key of the text module. The system accepts only languages that are defined in table T002.
    Reference field: THEAD-TDSPRAS
    ARCHIVE_HANDLE
    If you want to read the text from the archive, you must enter a handle here. The system uses it to access the archive. You can create the handle using the function module ACHIVE_OPEN_FOR_READ.
    The value '0' indicates that you do not want to read the text from the archive.
    Reference field: SY-TABIX
    Default value: 0
    Import parameters:
    HEADER
    If the system finds the desired text, it returns the text header in this parameter.
    Structure: THEAD
    Table parameters:
    LINES
    The table contains all text lines that belong to the text read.
    Structure: TLINE
    Exceptions:
    ID
    The text ID specified in the parameter ID does not exist in table TTXID. It must be defined there together with the object of the text module.
    LANGUAGE
    The parameter LANGUAGE contains a language key that does not exist in table T002.
    NAME
    The parameter NAME contains the name of a text module that does not correspond to the SAPscript conventions.
    Possible errors:
    The field contains only blanks.
    The field contains the invalid characters ‘*’ or ‘,’.
    OBJECT
    The parameter OBJECT contains the name of a text object that does not exist in table TTXOB.
    NOT_FOUND
    The system did not find the specified text module.
    REFERENCE_CHECK
    The text module to be read has no text lines of its own but refers to the lines of another text module. This reference chain can include several levels. For the current text, the chain is interrupted, that is, one of the text modules referred to in the chain no longer exists.
    WRONG_ACCESS_ TO_ARCHIVE
    The exception WRONG_ACCESS_TO_ARCHIVE is triggered if an archive is accessed using an incorrect or non-existing archive handle or an incorrect mode (that is, read if the archive is open for writing or vice versa).

  • Using SO10 texts in (dynamic) textfields

    Dear,
    We're using SO10 texts from SAP in our Interative Forms to translate conditions and the like. We added a style to it etc. and by setting the textfield to XHML and Rich Text in the settings it can be set directly with all layout programming saved. It's obviously also set to Multiple Lines.
    I was wondering, is there a way to dynamically adjust the size of a textfield (in a flowed subform)?
    Or, and this solution is just as fine, is there a javascript function or method I can use to adjust the textfield height at runtime after the text has been entered (in the 'initialize' event then).
    Thanks in advance,
    Frederik-Jan

    Hello!
    Check at Layout pallete if your field has 'Expand to fit' parameter set under its Height.

  • How to create transport request for standard text created using SO10.

    Hi,
    How to create transport request for standard text created using SO10?
    Regards
    Ramakrishna L

    Hi,
    For the Standard text created in SO10,
    please go to transaction SE78 -> FORM GRAPHICS->STORED AS TEXT->STANDARD TEXTS->
    Double click on ADRS or ST or what ever your type of text->
    Enter your standard text name
    Click on transport button->SHIFT+f6-> It will ask you for a transport request.
    Best regards,

  • How to create and read text file using LabVIEW 7.1 PDA module?

    How to create and read text file using LabVIEW 7.1 PDA module? I can not create a text file and read it.
    I attach my code here.

    Well my acquisition code runs perfect. The problem is reading it. I can't seem to read my data no matter what I do. My data gets saved as a string using the array to string vi but I've read that the string to array vi (which I need to convert back to array to read my data) does not work on the pda. I'm using version 8.0. So I was trying to modify the program posted in this discussion so that it would save data from my DAQ. I did that but I still can't read the data after its saved. I really don't know what else to do. All I need to do is read the data on the pda itself. I can't understand why I'm having such a hard time doing that. I found a possible solution on another discussion that talks about parsing the strings because of the bug in the "string to array" vi. However, that lead me to another problem because for some reason, the array indicators or graphs don't function on the pda. When i build the program to the pda or emulator, the array indicators are faded out on the front panel as if the function is not valid. Does this kind of help give a better picture of what I'm trying to do. Simply read data back. Thanks.

  • To read text file using utl_file

    I would like to read test_file_out.txt which is in c:\temp folder.
    create or replace create or replace directory dir_temp as 'c:\temp';
    grant read, write on directory dir_temp to system;
    then when i execute the below code i get the error .
    // to read text file using utl_file
    DECLARE
    FileIn UTL_FILE.FILE_TYPE;
    v_sql VARCHAR2 (1000);
    BEGIN
    FileIn := UTL_FILE.FOPEN ('DIR_TEMP', 'test_file_out.txt', 'R');
    UTL_FILE.PUT_LINE (FileIn, v_sql);
    dbms_output.put_line(v_sql);
    UTL_FILE.FCLOSE (FileIn);
    END;
    ERROR:
    invalid file operation
    i would like to use ult_file only and also can you let me know to read the text file and place its contents in tmp_emp table?

    Are you trying to read the contents of the file into the local variable? Or write the contents of the local variable to the file?
    Your text talks about reading the file. And you open the file in read mode. But then you call the UTL_FILE.PUT_LINE method which, as SomeoneElse points out, attempts to write data to the file. Since the file is open in read-only mode, you cannot write to the file.
    If the goal is really to read from the file, replace the UTL_FILE.PUT_LINE calls with UTL_FILE.GET_LINE. If the goal is really to write to the file, you'll need to open the file in write mode ('W' rather than 'R' in the FOPEN call).

    You can only uncheck the cell phone number. The only way to delete it is to use for FaceTime and Messages an Apple ID not associated with the iPhone.

    Hi ,
        Instead of using the FM, Use the standard functionality to print the required text provided by Smartforms.
      Create a text element, in the left top...in the drop down there is an option of include text...
    id = '0001'
    language = 'E'
    name = '0080000055'
    object = 'VBBK'
    u will get the dessired output

    Can anyone help me out of this.
    With Regards,
    Bala M

    Excellent Eitan,
    Here is what I am trying to Achieve.
    In Create Notification IW21 , They need 5 Long Text in Custom Tab ( Say Tab Name is MBR ).
    TAB1 NOTIFICATION Standard Information , TAB2 REFERENCE OBJ , TAB 3 MalFunction , Breakdown Standard one...... TAB 7 ( Custom Tab ).
    In Custom Tab , I added 5 LONG TEXT ( its 5 WHY Concept ).
    When the User enters data in 5 Long text , it should store long text along with Notification number when save.
    But Notification number will be generated @ the time of SAVE , but before that its just shows as
    %0000000001 ( and Number will be generated 1000065479) at Save.
    How to achive this .
    I did this:
    Added 5 Custom Container. and In PBO / PAI
      PROCESS BEFORE OUTPUT.
    MODULE STATUS_0100.
    PROCESS AFTER INPUT.
    MODULE USER_COMMAND_0100.
    IN PBO
       CREATE OBJECT TEXT_EDITOR1 ,    CREATE OBJECT TEXT_EDITOR2,    CREATE OBJECT TEXT_EDITOR3 like wise 5
       CALL METHOD TEXT_EDITOR1->SET_TEXT_AS_R3TABLE ,    CALL METHOD TEXT_EDITOR2->SET_TEXT_AS_R3TABLE .. Like wise 5 , So when the user Click on Custom Tab ( MBR ).
    It give 5 Long text.
    When he click tab1 or tab2 or tab3 .. and again tab MBR , still data is available.
    How to store this data for future retrival ( IW22 or IW23 ) ?
    Its working fine when I enter first time and goes here and there and finall save .
    IN SAVE BADI , I imported the Long text and created Standard Text SO10 with Notification Number with LONG1 , LONG2 .. means 1000065479LONG1 as standard text.
    But not working when I entered first time and go to tab1 and tab2 and then to MBR tab and added few more lines , its not exporting full lines and in IMPORT ( SAVE BADI ) giving ZERO Lines.
    Please help and thanks for your quick response.
