Read/Write using single adapter

How can i move the files from one location to another location using single file adapter?

Adapter can have only one operation either of the below.
Read, Write, Synchronous and Listing

In Bpel Process i am using File Adapter ( Schema is Opaque) for read and write the file contents. i am able do successful deployment and read, write function in first time deployment, after that again i tired to run the application, its not going to write the content of file, its only writing the file with out data's or content in that file.

I able to write payload contents to file. but using same schema, path i am unable to read the file.
receive process is not initiating.

I have created a simple BPEL process that uses a file adapter to read files containing XML messages of a simple xsd schema. But when reading the xml, I get the following error message:

It seems that there is some issue with the namespace, but even after trying out various combinations, I am not able to resolve this.

I am not sure if there is any easier way, but I tried out the following tool available on the net to check an xml against a xsd:

There were a few issues, that I corrected and finally had a xsd and xml that were matching and valid. I tried this out in my file reading BPEL process, but the error still remained the same!

I even tried the option that is available in JDeveloper to generate a sample xml from a xsd (when in the context of a Transformation activity). The xml generated by this also seems exactly like the one above.
So, I am not able to figure out why my BPEL process errors out with the message Invalid xml document.

Reading file using File Adapter in BPEL

I am using JDeveloper 11g.
I am trying to Read XML file and write content to Text file.
I created XML Schema, XML file.
I created Asynchronous BPEL process (Auto Generated)
I took one File adapter which will have Read operation and one more File Adapter which will have Write Operation.
Then, added one Receive activity that will be connecting to partner link - Read.
and one Invoke activity which is linked to Write Partner link .
I am able to Deploy the process..
While testing 1st receive (Auto generated) will work but Receive for Read is not getting started.
I am getting " Waiting for "Read" from "ReadFile". Asynchronous callback.Waiting for "Read" from "ReadFile". Asynchronous callback "

So,You have two receive activity(One for soap client and one for Read activity) and two invoke(1 for write file and 1 for reply to client).
I think the 1st receive activity for soap client not required as you want to initiate the process while read the file.You can delete the default soap client and corresponding receive activity and check the create instance chekbox in the 2nd receive activity linked with read partnerlink.
There is some issue with 2nd receive activity in bpel ..

FTP Adapter polling lowercase or uppercase files using single adapter

Hello All,
I was wondering if we can use a single FTP Adapter to poll Lowercase or Uppercase files. For example either abc*.txt or ABC*.txt.
Does the FTP adapter by default support this option, because its not working in my Case and if its supported does it depend on the FTP server settings/security.

If your requirement is just to transfer a PDF document from one file system to another without any transformation,then probably u can follow these steps, else if you can explain your scenario,it would be helpful.
Do the folllowing:
1. Create a dummy Data Type.
2. Create a Message Type for the Data Type of step 1.
3. Create the outboundand and inbound message interaces using the Message Type of step 2.
4. No Message amd Inteface Mapping is required.
5. In Configuration , create a Receiver Determination, Interface Determination , Sender and Receiver Agreement as usual. But when it comes to Interface Determination, there dont specify any INTERFACE MAPPING.

ACI to read/write a single BRANCH ...

My situation is a tree like this:
o=entry
+ou=one
+ou=two
+ou=three
+ou=four
I would like to create a user able to modify/read/etc.etc. ONLY ou=four contents...
I've placed a uid=fouradmin, ou=four,o=entry and I've created an ACI to let it do everything under ou=four.
Now, if I create a new ACI in ou=four to EXCLUDE access to ANYONE, this ACI became the stronger and I'm not able to do nothing with uid=fouradmin......
How can I bypass this situation and allow ONLY to uid=fouradmin complete access to ou=four and subsequential ?

Access is denied unless there is an ACI that specifically grant access...
You should consider not using the DENY acis at all.
If what you want is that only fouradmin to have access to ou=four, do it so:
- Aci in ou=four grants all rights to fouradmin.
- Aci in o=entry (top) should use (target != "*ou=four,o=entry) grant access to anyone.

As far as i know, JMS Object Messages is not supported by XI JMS adapter.
you need to have the JMS provider to transform the message to bytes messages.

Can we use single DB Adapter for multiple tables

Hi,
I have 3 tables. ONE is the Master table and other 2 tables having Primary and foreign key relationships with the Master Table.
Data is enter in the Tables 2 & 3 (based on Master Table Primary key)
I have to use a DB Adapter in BPEL Process which will be in Transaction (what type of Transaction is Best in such a Scenario).
- How do i implement it in BPEL.
- Can i use a Single DB Adapter for Multiple Tables ? (*Views* should not be created for tables 1, 2 & 3),
as we want to avoid using multiple DB Adapters, as in future Tables may increase or decrease...
- while in Transaction if Table 2 fails in Inserting / Updating, it should roll back on error and also if Table 3 fails in Inserting / Updating, it should roll back table 2 and Table 3.
- how access to concurrent users is maintained / managed in such a scenarios.
But everything should be done using Single DB Adapter without creating a separate view.
Is this Possible in BPEL..
If not, How do we design, Implementation such a BPEL Process in Transaction with a best in Performance (both BPEL Process & DB Resources)

If we use PL/SQL, how do we implement transaction and Exception Handling appropriately based on the Error / Exception in BPEL.
If the Table 2 or Table 3 gives out Error / Exception, i have to handle it separately and intimate accordingly.
Suppose, if Table 2 got Error / Exception - Error Handling would be 'Roll back due to error in Table2'

Most likely it is the semicolon at the end of the SQL statement that's causing the db adapter to throw the error; just enter the custom sql statement without a semicolon at the end.
SELECT INVOICE_ID,FILE_NAME FROM BILLING_INVOICE_PDF_V where FILE_ID = (SELECT MAX(FILE_ID) FROM BILLING_INVOICE_PDF_V WHERE INVOICE_ID = '12345')

I didn't look at anything else but if you want to write more than one line ever to your file you should change this

out = new FileOutputStream("Calculation.log",true);A quick look at the API reveals the follow constructor FileOutputStream(File file, boolean append) append means should I add on the end of the file or over-write what is there.
By default you over-write. So in our case we say true instead which says add on to what is there.
At the end of that little snippet you shoudl be closing that stream as well.
So where you have
p.close();You should have
p.close();
out.close();

You can write a PL\SQL (Stored Procedure) to do your operations and call the PL\SQL code from DB Adapter.
