ReadLine() line number ????

Question

for example i have :
BufferedWriter bw = new BufferedWriter(new FileWriter("file.txt"));
this file has 20 (String) lines
how can i read a specific one ?
like read line 15 ?????

The easiest way would be to do something like:
public static String getLine(BufferedReader reader, int index) {
  for (int i = 0; i < index - 1; i++) reader.readLine();
  String result = reader.readLine();
}Passing "15" to this method will return the 15th line (as opposed to the 16th line for a zero-based implementation).
It's possible you could find a faster way, but probably not that much faster. The only real caveat is that you would not be able to use this method more than once on the same BufferedReader unless you reset it back after the call--but that's not always an option.
Your other alternative is to load each line into an ArrayList and then just reference that for all subsequent calls.
