Realtek audio setup ?

when i configured my audio setup for 5.1 configuration my rear speaker doesn't work. I have to choose 7.1 setup to have them to be functional. The problem is that i have 2 more surround speaker on each side that are not present. Driver need a fix.

Check your connections.  I had the same problem where my side speakers didn't work in 5.1 but did in 7.1, leaving me with two more nonexistent surround speakers.  I had the speakers plugged in incorrectly.  You might not be as slow as me however it doesn't hurt to make sure.

  • Updated my K450e to Windows 10, Realtek Audio Manager icon missing from system tray

When my K450e was using Windows 8 and 8.1, there was a red Realtek AudioHD Manager icon in my system tray. Now that I've updated the K450e to Windows 10, there is no Realtek Audio Manager icon in my system tray (or control panel) anymore. I've tried installing the Realtek Audio software both from the Lenovo download site for Windows 10, and also from the Realtek site. This has not helped. On the up side, the computer's audio is working fine *smile*. Any ideas what I might try to get the Realtek AudioHD manager icon back in the system tray for Windows 10? Thanks!

Macaby there are two separate components of Boot Camp. First is Assistant which runs on the Mac side of things from OS X. It creates/deletes the Windows partition which is necessary to install Windows. Next the Boot Camp Panel software which is installed once you have successfully installed and are running Windows. It allows tweaking of the Apple hardware from within Windows. It is installed using the OS X disc and does not jeopardize your installed Windows OS in any way. This disc also contains the hardware driver necessary to optimize the hardware in Windows. In my experience this disc has never started via autorun so you will most likely have to locate the Boot Camp folder and run the setup.exe file manually.
Don't know how much your wife uses Windows but if it's running well enough then you may want to leave it alone. Check device manager in Windows for any red or yellow punctuation marks. This will indicate a potential driver issue in Windows. Also check the Windows Experience Index for performance issues. A 1 anywhere indicates a driver issue. If you have no driver issues and Windows is running well enough you may want to leave it at that.

  • MSI x976 Power UP Edition Realtek Audio Question, probably a simple answer HELP!

I have the x975 Power up board and 6400 conroe, so far clocked at 2.8ghz.  One hell of a processor, man they really meant it was going to be un upgrade from my [email protected] and it is.  Anyway, I have a set of Klipsch Promedia 4.1's that I still love and enjoy.  How do I utilize these speakers on the realtek hd audio card.  I selected 4.1 on the setup screen and plugged the front channel into the green plug, and it works great.  So where do I plug in the rear channel speakers, which color plug?  I want just to listen to music playing through all 4 speakers, and the surround effect in games, obviously minus the center channel.  I have a santa cruz, that does just what I need, but its dated technology and I really want to utilize the HD realtek if possible, its not like it will slow down the computer, haha.

I'm not sure if Realtek Audio will do an upmix from 2.1 to 4.1 but you can also check if your speakers are able to do it.
    Yup, it's inside there...

  • How can I just use a generic Realtek audio driver without "Beats Audio" interfering!?

Beats audio is terrible! I just want to have a flat EQ with no stupid sound effects enabled. The only way I've been able to do this so far, is to uninstall the audio driver, and just use the generic windows one instead. But what I would like to do is use a generic Realtek audio driver, and completely remove Beats Audio from my computer.
After uninstalling the audio driver that comes with my laptop, I tried getting a standard Realtek driver from their website. But when I install that, Beats Audio reappears! This is so frustrating! How can I uninstall Beats Audio? I want it gone forever! I can see from searching these forums that this is a common problem. But none of the solutions have shown how to just use a standard Realtek driver without this Beats Audio rubbish.
Can anyone tell me how this is possible? I'll stick to the generic windows driver if I have to. But it would be nice if I could just use the Realtek drivers as they were meant to be.
    Thanks

Thanks for the reply. But you've misunderstood the question. I know how to uninstall the sound driver and just use a generic Windows one instead. But what I'm actually looking to do, is install the Realtek audio driver without Beats Audio. Thanks.

  • Can't Hear Audio - Realtek Audio Device

    Hi Guys,
I have an Asus P5Q motherboard with a Realtek Audio Device on board and I can't here any audio. I don't have the tracks muted, I do have the headphones plugged in and I can hear other audio outside of the program. I did have this problem with Premier Pro CS3 but after a reboot one night it just started working...
Is there any particular drivers i need or software or settings to change??
    Link to motherboard specs: http://au.asus.com/products.aspx?l1=3&l2=11&l3=709&l4=0&model=2164&modelmenu=2
    Many Thanks in advanced,
    Tim Raphael

Also download http://www.asio4all.com - a free ASIO driver which will work with at least some RealTek devices which I've come across. This driver will dramatically improve latency (reduce it!), and you can actually work realtime in Audition. In Audition's Audio Hardware Settings you will probably see both the RealTek generic driver and Asio4all, as they can coexist on a system. Select Asio4all everywhere you can.
Now, RealTek audio chips aren't exactly high-end hi-fi, so don't expect crystal clear noise free sound - and certainly do not blame Audition when you somehow can't get it ;-)

  • Dolby Home Theater V4 changed to Dolby Digital Plus after Realtek Audio Driver update Windows 8.1

Hi,I'm now using Ideapad Z510. After upgraded to Windows 8.1. I'd went to the Lenovo website searching for new driver update.
But, after i install the "Realtek Audio Driver 6.0.1.7023", the "Dolby Home Theater V4" is not running(audio sound not playing through). And, the "Dolby Digital Plus" is running instead of "Dolby Home Theater V4".
Then, when I try to reinstall the older version "Realtek Audio Driver 6.0.1.6954" from Lenovo website, the "Dolby Home Theater V4" is running again.
Truly, the "Dolby Digital Plus"'s sound is crisper and louder than "Dolby Home Theater V4". But the sound of "Dolby Home Theater V4" has more bass and more function (like Graphic Equalizer, more Intelligent Equalizer etc.).
Is this an update or what?
What should I choose? The newer driver (for Windows 8.1) or older driver (for Dolby Home Theater V4)?  Thanks. (confused now) @@

    Hi all
Could you try out DAA or DHTLightweight from my link and just install the Dolby software without overriding your Realtek Driver? I am not sure whether would it work, but worth a try. I have tried on Y460, W520 and G560 with great experience.
If the older Dolby software does not work with your existing Realtek driver, you could install the DAA or DHTLightweight with their driver to overwrite and see how it goes.
    Thank You

  • AUDIO SETUP ASSISTANT GONE

I noticed that I can no longer use the core audio setup assistant in express 8. In 7, I could adjust the amount of tracks, buses ect. They have apparently got rid of that feature in 8. So now I have 64 buses and instead of setting the record max time at around 15 minutes in 7, I now can record for over 400 minutes. That seems a bit overkill. Is there a way to cut this back to about 8 buses and 24 audio tracks and 16 midi and 16 instrument tracks in the setup? OR is adjusting those settings no longer available?

Those setup options are in System Preferences, under the Apple menu.

  • Realtek Audio v 6.0.1.7040 - 5.10.0.7040 - gga109ww

    Hi friends,
    I m T430 and Win8.1 x64 and after installed this update "Realtek Audio v 6.0.1.7040 - 5.10.0.7040 - gga109ww" I do not see the Dolby Advanced Audio v2 anymore.!
I tried to installed Dolby Advanced Audio v2 manually but it seems not to be working...
Or anything with this update of Realtek?
Thank you for your reply before hand,

In my case, my software update software does not work...it starts and just seats there while the blue bar spins without accessing anything...
have tried downloading directly from the apple download page, the proapps and to my surprise after entering my serial number, just the most recent proapps are available....not the rest...
even if I find, by the grace of god, a link in the download link of Apple's pages.to download, let's say, Proapps 2008 2, the link takes me to the same place, of FCP and the option simply does not exist...just the most recent Proapps and not the one I want to get...
any ideas as to where can I retrieve the other 4 proapps??????

  • [SOLVED] Audio setup troubles with usb headphones and built-in sound

    Hello,
I Just started using Arch about a month ago after going through many Debian and Ubuntu variants.  After all my frustrations with apt pinning to get working 10bit video playback, only to have everything else uninstalled by crappy dependency checking, I am extremely happy with how easy it was in Arch.
Now I am having difficulties perfecting my audio setup.  Almost everything else is set up to satisfactory levels but I have yet to bring the sound to the same standard.  With just ALSA my built in audio works, but defaults to the unused hdmi on my nvidia graphics.  I have managed to get it to switch at some point but with ALSA alone I could never get my usb headset to work at all.
By using pulseaudio as well I was able to get simutaneous playback, which is ideal, but had choppiness and other issues with just the usb headset.  I followed some instructions found on the arch wiki and other places on the net for choppiness in both ALSA and pulse and tried the fixes listed in various combinations.  I ended up with outcomes such as pulse not starting, no sound at all, creepy ticking in usb and perfect sound on speakers, and my current situation of perfect sound on speaker and acceptable but tinny sound on usb which degrades over time requiring restart.
Is anyone able to give any advice or point me to any guides I may have overlooked?
Setting up sound from scratch is something I have never done before coming to Arch, so I don't know what commands are useful for audio specifically, but learning is one of the reasons I decided on Arch. As for commands I do know, lspci and lsusb, relevant entries are as follows:
    spricc ~ $ lspci | grep Audio
00:1b.0 Audio device: Intel Corporation 6 Series/C200 Series Chipset Family High Definition Audio Controller (rev 05)
01:00.1 Audio device: NVIDIA Corporation GF104 High Definition Audio Controller (rev a1)
Bus 004 Device 003: ID 1532:000e Razer USA, Ltd
USB device is a Razer Megalodon headset, NVIDIA Audio is of no interest to me, unless it is not what i think it is.
Thanks to anyone who takes the time to read this.

  • I remove by mistake the realtek audio device high definition audio bus. Now, the sound of my computer is not working. What should I do?

    Hi!
I remove by mistake the realtek audio device high definition audio bus. Now, the sound of my computer is not working. What should I do?

first go to start-all programs- windows update is at the top of the list follow the prmpts to install microsoft update which is the new version of windows update if microsoft update is all ready installed go there and select custom then let it look for updates
then if it detects missing drivers it will install or guide you on what to do. If you have an r52 laptop then try this link.
    http://support.lenovo.com/en_CA/downloads/detail.page?LegacyDocID=MIGR-58599 the best of luck.
2 if that doesnt work then try this  open device manager right click on the sound device you may have to expand sound, video and game controlers on the tab that comes up select properties then select the drivers tab  select update driver.
do it this way incase the driver installation failed the frist time it may not ask you to update again if you didnt uncheck the box that came up on frist try.
3.find a mother board disk and search the disk using explore for ac97 realtech driver. actually windows update should solve it also try there  FIX IT web site there are many automatied fixes there for your use.

  • Dolby audio and Realtek audio drivers suddenly won't work on windows 8.

    I've got an Ideapad U510, Windows 8 64-bit system.
A couple of days ago I got a message, which stated that the dolby audio driver didn't work, and I needed to reinstall the driver or restart. I did both and neither worked.
I searched for drivers on Lenovos website, and updated the driver for Realtek audio. Now the logo for sound just have a red X on it and I don't know what to do. I uninstalled the drivers, installed them again and it didn't work so I uninstalled it again.
The dolby digital driver won't install again, it says it needs PCEE to install but I have no idea what to do.
Please help me. I don't know what caused the problem, so I have no idea how to get my audio working again.

    hi Bubble,
    Welcome to the Lenovo Forums.
    Can you try the following:
    1. Press the Windows key‌ +R, type appwiz.cpl and press Enter. On the list of programs, remove any instances of Dolby or Realtek Audio and reboot.
    2. After the reboot, press the Windows key‌ +R, type devmgmt.msc and press Enter. On the Device Manager, expand Sound, video, and game controllers and check if the sound device is listed as High Definition Audio. If it says Realtek High Definition Audio, uninstall it, put a check on 'delete device driver software' and reboot. This step will install a generic sound driver that should enable you to play sound on the unit.
If the above steps doesn't work and you still see the red X mark on the sound adapter then you may need to backup important data and do one of the following:
    a. System Restore
    b. System Recovery via the OneKey Recovery Button
    c. Refresh or Reset Windows 8

  • Problems with MOTU Audio Setup and Mavericks.

    Hi!
after installing the latest update of MOTU Audio Drivers (v1.6.59200 | Nov. 12, 2013) for some sessions Motu Audio Setup has worked correctly.
Now, after a week or so, it detects the interfaces (by the way a 828vMk II + 8pre, both FW) when I power them, so it fires up as usual; but when launched is not showing any device connected.
I tried to thrash the Audio Devices preference panels, but no result.
Shall I wait for a new MOTU update or is there any other workaround I could try?
    Thanks in advance for help
    Massimo

I had the same problem. The fix after multiple configurations is as follows.
    1) Reset the PRAM and shutdown - this will clear the FW settings
    2) Boot the systems but with on ONE Motu828 powered on.
    3) After the system is up and you can see the one device - power the second device on it the Motu Audio Setup program should see both.
there is some kind of FW race problem. Also, go to preference, turn OFF IPV4 stack from the FW device in NW setting. If I do not do this, I cannot get the system to see the devices and it basically is in some sort of "hung" state.

You can write your own udev rules to make sure your hardware is identified always the same way: https://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Udev (http://www.reactivated.net/writing_udev_rules.html)
