Received message to reinstall Creative Cloud desktop. Tried 3 times; won't install. Help.

When I restarted my MacBook Pro, a Creative Cloud pop-up displayed on my screen that says " Adobe Creative Cloud is needed to resolve this issue. However, it is missing or damaged. Please download and install a new copy of the Creative Cloud from <link>."
I've download it three times now. Each time after I click install, the progress loads half way and then displays the same message above each time.
I've rebooted my laptop as well; to no avail. Please help. thanks.

  • Can't reinstall Creative Cloud desktop

I seem to be in a loop. I was asked to reinstall Creative Clooud Desktop, but each time I run the installer it caliams a problem exists and say I need to install the Adobe Application Installer and points me to the same page and then the whole thing repeats. I've now lost the CC icon on my menubar on my Mac. What's going on?

  • How do I uninstall, then reinstall Creative Cloud Desktop and also Photoshop

Both CC Desktop and Photoshop have stopped working.  I think it is something I did to myself when I did a system reset.  Oddly enough, Lightroom 5.2 is still working.  I would just like to uninstall and then re-install Photoshop and the Creative CLoud Desktop application.  I need someone to help me with that.  Nobody is answering my attempts at Chat support.  I know, it is Sunday evening.  But it DOES say that a chat agent is available.  Thank you for any help anyone can give me!  Been fighting this for two days now.

Thank you for replying, John!  I finally did get a customer tech rep on the chat support last night.  He talked me through removal of the CC desktop app using the downloaded cleaner.  Then we downloaded the CC desktop app again, and attempted to install it, but I got the same results I have been getting for the last two days; Error code 207.  This error says that "the server is not responding, please try again after some time".  I had gone through the same gyrations the night before with another tech on chat support.  They thought that maybe it was a permissions issue, so they had me create a new admin logon for my computer, login to that, and download/install the CC desktop app.  This too yeilded the dreaded Error 207.  So, now we are all stumped!  The tech last night had me upload some information files about my computer to the tech support people at Adobe.  He said they will review everything and contact me via e-mail or phone this evening.
On the plus side, I did discover last night that my Photoshop CC IS working.  It turns out the desktop icon, and the icon under the start button were both bad.  But when I went to Start>All Programs>Adobe>Photoshop CC it opened right up.  Interesting to note, but my LightRoom 5.2, which was also part of my original download after joing Adobe Creative Cloud, never quit working; both the desktop icon and the shortcut under the Start button open it right up.
So, I am up-and-running again on Photoshop, but I am unable to update any thing, or otherwise use the Creative Cloud desktop application.  Hopefully someone will be able to help me resolve the issue soon, as I know I have not received the latest upgrades.  I am open to any suggestions you may have.  Again, thank you for responding!

  • My Creative Cloud Desktop App says that apps are installed that aren't.

Important thing to note: I system restored yesterday, which removed the programs that I had installed the day before.
After my earlier discussion received no answer, I searched for more solutions and found one from only two weeks ago that now suggested that the OOBE folder I was renaming was not the correct one. I should go into Program Files/Common Files/Adobe and rename the OOBE folder there to OOBE_old. While I'm searching for this I'm on the phone with a customer service representative I annoyingly cannot remember the name of who is asking for remote control of my computer, which I am loathe to give him, obviously. So I tell him that I'm in the process of executing this solution which he says is fine. So, I execute the solution and finally, the Creative Cloud Desktop App does not launch with a blank screen! It actually asks for my username and password! I enter it and get to the normal page where it has the list of installed apps etc. Except, there is no trace of those installed apps on my computer, indeed, the Creative Cloud Files folder is empty. They are not in my list of installed programs. Because, of course, they were removed yesterday by the System Restore. But, it now does not give me the option to reinstall it. I tell the customer service representative this. Then, the customer service representative hangs up on me. Hangs up on me.
I still don't have a solution, and the man who could have given me one clearly did not deign to do so. Is he representative of your customer service?
I more care about this problem, to be perfectly honest.

For the benefit of anyone who experiences the same problems as me, this is what I did to solve it:
I executed the Adobe CleanerTool to wipe Creative Cloud. Then I executed it again to wipe all evidence of Creative Cloud apps. Now! It works! No thanks to the customer service.

  • Creative Cloud Desktop App Manager still does not work - HELP?

Using Windows 7, have Adobe subscription, cannot get the CC desktop Application Manager to work under any circumstances! This is driving me crazy, paying for the subscription, cannot update any programs, because I cannot access anything. I urgently need to finish a job where I have previously used a font I have in my typekit - but of course I cannot access the typekit so cannot get the font - this is urgent.
Can someone please help - I have uninstalled all reference to Creative Cloud Desktop App, restarted computer, re-installed. Nothing, uninstalled everything - changed OOBE folders in both locations to _old, restarted, reinstalled, nothing. Uninstalled again, ran the CC Cleaner Tool, option 3, option1, renamed the OOBE folders, restared Windows, ran exe file again. Failes repeatedly. Comes up with a blank white space, blue wheel spins a few times then stops, and stays like that. If you click in the white space, then it just goes black!!!
    Where to now!

  • Creative Cloud Desktop Hangs Up and won't Uninstall

I just installed Creative Cloud Desktop and it hangs up (Spining Gear)when I try to download Apps. I tried uninstalling, but I keep getting refused because the App is open. • Updating Creative Cloud Desktop failure? It can't install as it thinks there are multiple versions?

As I signed in to Creative Cloud on my desktop, there was a little pop-up bubble from its toolbar icon (I use Windows 7 if that helps at all) saying there is a new update avaible,so it closes the Creative cloud window & quits the app,I press the bubble,it downloads, green bar almost full and everything, then say's it can't install as Creative Cloud is already on this computer, and I need to quit the current version,as its running (but it isn't) so I can't close it and it says to retry via the button and I press it but its completey unresponsive.... ? Its only a update, not a complete re-installation so why would It say that? I've tried to redownload several times and its always said exactly the same thing.

Have you verified the Creative Cloud application is not running in your task manager?

  • I can no longer sign in to Creative Cloud desktop app, every time I log in, I am immediately signed out.

I was working just fine up until a few minutes ago.
Creative Cloud signed me out for some reason, and I can no longer log in as it immediately signs me out when I do so (yes the information is correct).
Unfortunately this means I can no longer access my synced fonts from typekit... would love a resolution.

  • The 'Apps' tab in my Creative Cloud Desktop app shows a Download Error

I have tried uninstalling, downloading, and reinstalling Creative Cloud Desktop and continue to get the Download Error prompt.  It either shows the Download Error prompt or it continues to just think and think and think.  All the other tabs work normally. I've also signed out and signed in of my CC account multiple times . . . with the same outcome.
All of this started after I had updated all the available updates . . . I was also looking to install Lightroom CC.

You may try providing full permissions to Adobe folders under ~/library/Application Support and /library/Application Support.
Then launch Creative Cloud app and try loading Apps list

    Try below steps :

    (Applications>Utiliites)
Locate Adobe Creative Cloud and Adobe Application Manager folder under Utilities window and trash both folders.
    3)
Trash Adobe Creative Cloud from Applications well.
    4)
    1) Right click on Finder icon and  select "Go-ToFolder " option.
    2) You will get a text box, type-in below command and then hit 'Return' key.( Do not miss ~ symbol)
    ~/library
    3)Then navigate to Application Support>Adobe.
Open Adobe folder and trash folders named AAMUpdater and OOBE.

  • Adobe Creative Cloud Desktop Panel Issues

First, let me say that I've been an Adobe user for more than 18 years.
A while back (about two weeks ago) I went as usual to launch the little Adobe Creative Cloud desktop panel that shows what's installed, updated, available apps and available updates. Instead of it launching as normally, I was told that I had to LOG IN.  I'm pretty sure I did just that with my Adobe user name and pwd, but suddenly found myself no longer within the little app management panel, but instead on a screen that told me I could drag and drop files into the cloud there. I did not want to drag and drop any files at all! What I wanted was to use my CC desktop apps management panel so I could INSTALL Dreamweaver CC using the CC desktop apps management panel.
So I dismissed (exited out of) that "drag your files to here" screen. And now every time I launch the desktop panel, it asks me to log in, and every time I try, it comes back with "You've been signed out / Please sign in to continue."
I have been around that loop of changing the password several times over now, with no change to the behavior of the CC desktop apps management panel.  I simply CANNOT log in there any more ... What's perplexing is that I never HAD to log in to it before, either!  I had been using it for MONTHS since I first installed Adobe CC, and it showed me my apps list and available updates and all that just fine for quite a while, but now it has its head stuck in a corner.
Now when I launch it, I cannot get the panel to display my apps list as it should, but instead it keeps asking me to log in.  I have "changed the password" multiple times now.
Thing is, I can log in with that same user id and pwd to my CC account online through the Adobe web site, but the little desktop apps management panel is no longer usable.
Can/should I uninstall and reinstall the apps management panel?  Can I do that with the management panel ALONE and NOT cause problems with the CC programs that I DO have installed already (such as Illustrator CC, InDesign CC, and Photoshop CC?)
And why does Adobe support keep closing my case at the same time that I'm pleading with them to HELP me resolve this problem?
Should I simply uninstall the desktop apps management panel and forget about trying to use that and instead control all my CC apps directly from my account via the Adobe website instead?  CAN I do this?
Two weeks now and still not resolved.

  • Creative Cloud Desktop download utility running on Mac 10.8 fails to show apps/install apps

After purchasing subscription, downloading and installing the Creative Cloud Desktop Version (2.0.0.183) utility, I am unable to install a single app. When on the 'App' screen a spinning circle appears. I have tried reinstalling the Creative Cloud Desktop Utility many times, spoken with chat member who suggested deleting a database file in the OOBE folder, then restarting computer—none of these have worked. I have been struggling with this for over 5 hours, trawling forums with little success. I also have older versions of Adobe software (ie CS4. CS5, CS5.5 and CS6 which I do not want to delete).
I am running a Mac system 10.8, have 50 Gb drive space available and 32 Gb of ram.
Welcome any help as I purchased software subscription I cannot use.
    Thanks

KlippyKlein it sounds like you have archived the Opm.db file located in /Users/<UserName>/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE is this correct?
If so can you also try renaming the Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE to OOBE_Old.  Once this is done please reinstall the Creative Cloud application from https://creative.adobe.com/.

  • I have installed Creative Cloud Desktop but it fails to load. The icon shows up in the bar at the top right but then it just disappears. I am running Yosemite on a MacBook Pro.

I downloaded and installed Creative Cloud Installer and installed the Creative Cloud desktop on my MacBook Pro running Yosemite. The Creative Cloud desktop tries to install when the system starts and the icon actually shows in the top bar briefly and then disappears shortly after it shows up so it is obviously failing to load. I have tried multiple times to no avail.

do you mean in my system library? or where can I find it?

  • Why does Adobe Creative Cloud desktop app keep crashing?

After loggin in to my account via the adobe Creative cloud desktop app the timer spins for a few seconds and then crashes without generating a report. I am on Mac OS10.7.5. I have done an uninstall of Creative cloud and reinstall of latest version. No joy. I have done a complete clean of Cloud using the app from the Adobe web site. After reinstall of Cloud problem still exists. I have renamed the OOEB file in Application Support so a new one is generated. Same problem. My loggin details work when I go into my account online. When I try to install apps from there it opens the desktop app and crashes. Any ideas?
