Receiver Adapter configuration to put several file

Hi Experts,
I want to treat several file in one « step ». For that I configured sender file adapter to pick several file by check Additional file(s).
Additional file appear in payload correctly but I donu2019t know how to configure receiver adapter to add them to output directory.
How can I configure Receiver Adapter to do that?
Thank you.

In sender adapter it works fine, but I don't know how to add them in the receiver adapter.
As per documentation, you need a receiver that supports attachments to make use of this functionality.
For example you can send the additional files from file sender as attachments to mail receiver.
Unfortunately, the attachments are supported only for file sender and you can't add attachments in file receiver.
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04/helpdata/en/0d/5ab43b274a960de10000000a114084/content.htm
Check the 'attachment' column to know the adapters that supports attachments.

  • FTP  receiver adapter does not transfer (STORE) file

    Hello gurus,
    In my scenario I want to transfer files from server X to server Y using FTP.
    To get the files from server-X I use the FTP sender adapter, to put the files on server-Y I user the FTP receiver adapter.
    Getting the file (QoS = EOIO) is not a problem; I see the result is SXM_MONI.
    Putting the file doesn't seem to work; I don't have an error message in SXMB_MONI but the file is not physical stored on server-Y.
    When I monitor server-Y I see that XI connects with the configured user/pwd and even creates the directory when it doesn't exist but the file is not STORED.
    I'm not using the BPE, this is a very simple and basic scenario: what comes in, goes out.
    Can you please advice what might be the cause of the strange behavior?
    Many thanks - Danny

  • JDBC Sender/Receiver Adapter Configuration with key fields in SAP XI

    Hi All,
    Good evening.
    Please let me know, what are the settings required for key fields when configuring both sender and receiver Adapter?
    In My IDOC-XI-File Scenario, when i am sending an IDOC from R/3, I got Mapping Runtime exception error? So, How to send the same IDOC after correcting the error?
    Thanks to all in advance.
    Regards,
    Nagarjuna.

    HI Nagarjuna,
    If my understanding is correct, When you trigger the Idoc from R/3 it thrown the error in XI.
    If  you want to send the same Idoc then go to WE19 in R/3 system enter the same Idoc number and execute the scenaio. It send the Idoc to XI system, but the message number will change.

  • JMS Receiver Adapter configuration help

    Hi Experts,
    In our scenario, we need to integrate MQ series with SAP PI, where in we are using JMS Sender and Receiver adapters to put and get the mssg from correponding IBM MQ queues.
    Using Sender JMS Adapter we are consuming a txt mssg by specifying corresponding module configuration parameters, which is for converting into a XML mssg.
    The issue is with JMS Receiver adapter, Inorder to get an XML mssg apart from standard/default entries ... do we need to maintain any module configuration parameters?
    thnx

    Hi RajSekhar,
    We have maintained the below modules in the respective comm channels:
    Sender JMS channel:
    ConvertJMSMessageToBinary
    ConvertBinaryToXMBMessage
    MessageTransformBean
    CallSapAdapter
    Note: Maintained the necessary message transform bean module key parameters in the module configuration
    Receiver JMS Channel:
    ConvertMessageToBinary
    SendBinarytoXIJMSService
    Did not alter the by default modules in the Receiver JMS comm channel.
    Am i missing any other configuration.
    Thnx

  • File Receiver Adapter is not writing the file?

    Hi All,
    I am having a file to file scenario using NFS as both the source and destination are on server.
    File is getting picked up from server but not reaching the destination.
    In RWB for Receiver channel it only shows <b>Channel active and started correctly.</b>
    In SXMB_MONI  it shows the message scheduled for some later time.
    On reaching that time it tries again and reschedules :(.
    Please guide.
    Regards,
    Sumit

    Sumit,
    Now do one thing, just for check the directory for read/write permission by putting the test file manually on your target directory.
    The porcedure to put a file on server is as shown below:
    1. Save your file in your local machine.
    2. In <b>XI server</b>, enter the tranaction code "<b>SXDA_TOOLS</b>".
    3. In the input screen, enter:
    i) Object Type "DXPROJECT".
    ii) Program Type "BAPI".
    iii) Program "CREATE".
    4. Press Copy (Ctrl+F5) button.
    5. Now, you will get another screen in which you will see 3 blocks called as "Source", "Target" and "Copy with/without conversion".
    6. In Source block, choose the radio button "Presentation Server" and then take F4 help to select your source file. (file which you have saved on your local machine)
    7. In source block select the radio button "Application Server", check the box "Remote server" and take F4 help to select your application server.
    8. In the same block under "File Type" select "P physical file name" and under "File Name" write the path/directory name which you have mentioned in your communication channel along with the file name.
    Example: suppose file name in your Comm Chanel is "<b>demo.xml</b>" and directory path is <b>"/abc/testfiles/XML/</b>", then in step 8 write <b>"/abc/testfiles/XML/demo.xml</b>".
    Note: need not to do any thing in 3rd block.
    After doing all the above, let me know the results.

    Sarvesh

  • SOAP receiver adapter configuration issue

    Hi Everyone,
    When I am trying to excute a sync scenario from SAP<>XI<>Webservice from Integration engine , I am getting the below error message.
    Error while sending message: com.sap.aii.af.ra.ms.api.DeliveryException: SOAP: response message contains an error XIAdapter/HTTP/ADAPTER.HTTP_EXCEPTION - HTTP 415 Cannot process the message because the content type 'text/xml; charset=utf-8' was not the expected type 'application/soap+xml; charset=utf-8'.
    In the receiver SOAP adapter, I have configured Transformation module where I kept the MessageTransformationBean in processing sequence as a priority and also provided the module configuration.
    ModuleKey: transform
    ParameterName: Transform.ContentType
    Parameter Value: application/soap+xml;charset=utf-8.
    But still get the above error message in the communication channel. I am using certificates in my configuration that were deployed in visual Admin.
    In the adapter configuration, I have just provided the Target URL, Configured User Authentication, certificate authentication and SOAP action.
    Can anyone help me.. how to rectify the issue.....
    Thanks in advance,
    Hareen

    HI Hareen,
    I decided to give SOAP1.2 using the standard SOAP Adapter a try
    There are a few noticeable differences between the request message of SOAP1.1 and SOAP1.2
    1.) SOAP 1.1 uses a different namespace from SOAP 1.2. For SOAP 1.1 it is "http://schemas.xmlsoap.org/soap/envelope/" while for SOAP 1.2 it is "http://www.w3.org/2003/05/soap-envelope".
    2.) SOAP 1.2 does not use SOAPAction in its header.
    3.) Content type is also different, for SOAP 1.1 it is "text/xml" while for SOAP 1.2 it is "application/soap+xml"
    So a sample request for SOAP 1.1 would be like this:
    Content-Type: text/xml;charset=UTF-8
    SOAPAction: "http://sampleaction"
    While for 1.2 it is:
    Content-Type: application/soap+xml;charset=UTF-8;action="http://sampleaction"
    The SOAP action is moved to the content type (experts please correct me on this).
    Based on the differences, you need:
    1.) Construct the correct SOAP Envelope for request message mapping and remove it for the response mapping
    2.) Use MessageTransformBean to change content type
    3.) Leave SOAPAction as blank
    I think dynamic soap action is no longer possible because the action is hardcoded in the module configuration (please correct).
    Hope this helps,
    Mark

    I think this is not a typical HTTP URL type of format, is it?
    And I am not sure how I can build the message. Where do I put the parameters like TRANSPORT_PROTOCOL, TRANSPORT_PROTOCOL_VERSION, REQUEST_TYPE etc in the HTTP adapter?
    Also is there any place where I can see the final actual XI message that is sent to HTTP service?
    Any help will be really appreciated.
    Thanks and regards,
    Rahul.

    Hi Rajeev,
    The receiver system should have the details about the content type it expects. I got that from the team who monitors our receiver system.
    The HTTP Body of HTTP adapter is made up of PrologPayloadEpilog.
    So I added the paramter list that receiver system expects as part of the Prolog. Refer to the HTTP body that I have posted in my earlier message. Out of that till ".....Payload=" is added to Prolog and XI then appends actual payload to it.
    To be precise -
    TRANSPORT_PROTOCOL=OXTA&TRANSPORT_PROTOCOL_VERSION=1.0&MESSAGE_TYPE=XML&MESSAGE_STANDARD=UNIVERSAL&TRANSACTION_TYPE=XXXE&TRANSACTION_SUBTYPE=ORDER_I&DOCUMENT_NUMBER=PO12345&PARTY_SITE_ID=ESAP_ORDER_I&USERNAME=***&PASSWORD=**&PAYLOAD=
    So in the end it worked out well.
    Cheers,
    Rahul.

  • FTP Adapter Configuration For End Of File

    Hi Team,
    i'm doing DB polling and writing that contents to on file using FTP Adapter, DB poller will poll each line @ a time and writes to remote Server
    in my FTP adapter usage, after writing the whole contents which i pass from my bpel,
    i need to use some hardcoded values at the end of the file
    Eg.
    test1|test2|test3|test4
    test1|test2|test3|test4
    test1|test2|test3|test4
    test1|test2|test3|test4
    @@Thanks@@
    Like shown above after writing some contents
    i need to add @@Thanks@@ then one ENTER
    Thanks in advance

    Ok, now I'm understanding you are using "Append existing file" option checked... The approach won't work with appending on...
    If you know when it is the end of the file you can do something like this...
    At the first line file will be like this...
    line1|line1
    Second line...
    line1|line1
    line2|line2
    When you receive the third line and you know that's the last line you write firstly this...
    line1|line1
    line2|line2
    line3|line3
    And then you write the @@Thanks@@ at the end using a different translation schema... Possibly a different FTP Adapter writing on the same file...
    line1|line1
    line2|line2
    line3|line3
    @@Thanks@@
    However, if you don't know when you are receiving the last line and/or you need the @@Thanks@@ always there it won't work with append option... You'll possibly need a sync read FTP adapter to read the file and rewrite it again at every iteration...
    Cheers,
    Vlad

  • JDBC Receiver adapter  configuration for MS SQL

    Hi friends,
    I have configured receiver jdbc adapter for MS SQL database which are as follows:
    jdbc driver : com.microsoft.sqlserver.jdbc.SQLServerDriver
    connection: jdbc:sqlserver://USLABWDB01:1433;DatabaseName=Central_Lab_BIDB
    In communcation channel i am getting following error:

    Kindly tell me what is the root cause of the issue.
    Renu.

    Hi Renu,
    Try foll. 2 steps:
    1) Add the IP address of the server(USLABWDB01) to the host file of your PI server, as you are connecting using Hostname.
    2)Try the following connection strings:
        jdbc driver : com.microsoft.jdbc.sqlserver.SQLServerDriver
        connection: jdbc:microsoft:sqlserver://USLABWDB01:1433;DatabaseName=Central_Lab_BIDB
       Here, 'microsoft' word is added in connection string.
    Try using this, it should work.

  • FTP Receiver Adapter is completly ignoring the file content conversionurn..

    Hi,
    i'm picking up a flat file using the NFS adapter, the payload in the message monitoring looks like this:
    <?xml version="1.0" encoding="utf-8" ?>
    <ns:MT_FILE xmlns:ns="urn:......">
    <Record>
    <Line>100221120100000000000000</Line>
    <Line>100221120100000000000000</Line>
    </Record>
    </ns:MT_FILE>
    I'm now writing this to an ftp server, message protovol is set to File Content Conversion and the conversion parameters are set to this:
    Line.addHeaderLine     1
    Line.fieldSeparator     #
    Record.fieldContentFormatting     nothing
    Line.fieldContentFormatting     nothing
    Record.fieldSeparator     *
    looks realy weired and is not really what is needed but i changed the parameters dramatically, but none of those conversion parameters are taken in effect.
    The resulting files always looks the same, nor do i get a header line nor do i get the "weired" newline characters. i'm alway getten nl/0X0A as line separator.
    What do i miss?

    > You need to do content conversion for the nodes, not for the recordset.Remove Record conversion parameters and try.
    This is wrong. It is the other way:
    Use parameter
    Record.addHeaderLine     1
    When you want to have a different end-of-line cjaracter, you have to use the correct parameter
    Record.endSeparator
    Sometimes it really helps to look in online help.

  • Variable Substitution File Receiver Adapter

    Hi,
    I am in the process of implementing a scenario involving the conversion of a .jpg file to .bmp. In my scenario, I'd like to the .bmp file name to be dynamically controlled; therefore, I have used the Variable Substitution option in the File Receiver Adapter.
    In both the File Sender & Receiver comm. channels, I have ticked 'Adapter Specific Messsage Attributes' check-box and selected the 'File Name' option.
    The File Receiver comm. channel also has the following:
    File Name Scheme*: %File_Name%.bmp
    Variable Name: File_Name
    Reference: message:FileName

  • File Receiver Adapter - Content Conversion

    Dear All,
    We are using <b>DB to file Scenario</b>.We are using File Content conversion to get a File Comma Separated.
    Data is picked up from the DB and our payload before getting in to File adapter is given below.
      <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8" ?>
         <ns6:AssoInfo_MT xmlns:ns6="urn:NDB2File2DB">
         <AssoInfoList>
          <AssoInfoNode>
           <Name>ABCX</Name>
           <ID>31154</ID>
           <Salary>10000.0</Salary>
          </AssoInfoNode>
         <AssoInfoNode>
           <Name>ASDAS</Name>
           <ID>18978</ID>
           <Salary>10000.0</Salary>
         </AssoInfoNode>
         </AssoInfoList>
      </ns6:AssoInfo_MT>
    In File content conversion we are giving
         <b>AssoInfoNode.addHeaderLine = 0
            AssoInfoNode.fieldSeparator = ,
            AssoInfoNode.endSeparator = 'nl'</b>
    We are getting output as
    <b>ABCX,ASDAS</b>
    But the <b>expected</b> output is
    ABCX,31154,10000.0
    ASDAS,18978,10000.0
    What change we need to do in our File Receiver Adapter configuration.
    Regards,
    Vedavyas

    Hello,
    Test without these 2 options :
         AssoInfoNode.addHeaderLine = 0
         AssoInfoNode.endSeparator = 'nl'
    I think your problem is with the "endSeparator", it is not necessary.
    A new line is created for each new AssoInfoNode automaticaly.
    Regards,
    Chris

  • Hadeling multiple files in sender and receiver adapter

    Hi ,
    In my sender FTP server multiple files gets created at a same time i want to send this same files to the target FTP server am not doing any file content conversion. Just pick this multiple files at a single poll and drop it in the target FTP system.
    I gave . in the as file name parameter in the sender file adapter..PI system picks all the files as separate message but if i give . in the receiver adapter itu2019s not creating the file and its giving Java exception..
    Is there any other method to do this without having File content conversion... ?
    Regards
    Shakfie

    I gave *.* in the as file name parameter in the sender file adapter..PI system picks all the files as separate message but if i give *.* in the receiver adapter itu2019s not creating the file and its giving Java exception..
    For receiver adapter you have to give some file name, '.' will not work for receiver adapter. So give any temporary name just to satisfy the mandatory field. And when you selet the ASMA settings in both SENDER & RECEIVER adapter then your Receiver File adapter will write the same file name which it has picked up and NOT the one which you have written in your receiver adapter.
    Note: Set ASMA setting in both else you will not get the same file name at receiver. You can see the same in blog given by Siva. You need not to create any UDF since you are not using any mapping. Just use the ASMA settings.. that's it.
    > Is there any other method to do this without having File content conversion... ?
    You can go through this blog for the same...

  • File Receiver Adapter

    Hi Guys,
    How can i read a text file using the File Receiver Adapter
    Can anybody help me, please?

    > How can i read a text file using the File Receiver Adapter
    For reading a text file you need to use Sender File Adapter. Receiver File adapter is used to write the file at target directory.
    In order to read the file you have to do File Content Conversion (FCC).
    What is the format of your text file. Is it csv or fixed length file.
    For doing the FCC you can get many bolgs on sdn. If you want just search it.
