Receiver SFTP Channel giving error

Hi PI Experts,
My scenario is ECC->PI->SFTP server.
I am using Password based Authentication to send files to SFTP server using SFTP adapter.
Now SFTP adapter giving the error like "Message could not be forwarded to the JCA adapter. Reason: com.jcraft.jsch.JSchException: Auth failed".
I am able to login to SFTP server with provided User ID and Password through WinSCP tool. But when I tried to place files through SFTP adapter, it is throwing the above error.
I have configured the Server IP (not host name), Port and Server fingerprint.
I am using the PI7.31 SP08.
Could anyone please help me on this issue?
Thanks,
Govindu.

Transmitting the message to endpoint <local> using connection File_http://sap.com/xi/XI/System failed, due to: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: Unable to clone File Adapter receiver channel for parallel processing
This is just FiletoFile scenario. I am trying to use VARIABLE SUBSTITUTION here to give dynamic name to the file at receiver. I haven't use FCC here.
If I dont use VARIABLE SUBSTITUTION then scenario is working fine.

  • Receiver FTPS (Explicit) channel giving error while writing files.

    Hi All,
We are facing an issue while using FTPS for writing a file to a partner location. Since this is the first time we are using FTPS, we went through some blogs and notes to configure the same, but still facing problems. Listed below are the steps undertaken for the configuration:
    1. Got necessary ports opened on the firewall (the partner FTPS site uses explicit FTPS with control commands on port 21 and data on some custom ports).
    2. Tested file transfer on FTPS using some FTPS client tools from the PI 7.11 server being used.
    3. Uploaded the server SSL certificates in the NWA Keystore, Trusted CA view in both Base64 and normal formats (all certificates in the chain uploaded).
    4. Configured the FTPS receiver channel for the CN name mentioned in the certificate, port 21, directory specified, NO X.509 client authentication (as that is not needed), AUTH TLS, USER,PASS,PBSZ,PROT as command order and using some authentication (user ID, Pwd for logging in).
But we are still getting the error:
'An error occurred while connecting to the FTP server 'xxxxxx.xxx.com:21'. The FTP server returned the following error message: 'com.sap.aii.adapter.file.ftp.FTPEx: 550 Access denied.'. For details, contact your FTP server vendor..'
On the partner side we could not find any logs and from PI too we are not getting any more details than mentioned above. CAn some let us know any known resolutions to the issue or how to get more details from the trace in PI (we have already increased the trace level of the file adapter to error but nothing more useful is available in Java default trace than mentioned above).
Appreciate any help extended towards this.
    Thanks in advance,
    Avishek.

Thank you all for your answers. I want to bring to your notice that the file transfer (using FTPS) is still working using commercially available FTP client tools from the PI server. So in my opinion issues like OS user not having authorization, incorrect user credentials and firewall issues are ruled out. We are facing issue only when using PI adapter for file transfer, this could be due to incorrect commands or command sequence being sent to the Server etc. which the server is rejecting and giving an unauthorized error.
We also tested this by giving incorrect pwd OR changing the command sequence, in which case the errors thrown were more specific and appropriate (like incorrect credentials OR AUTH TLS command missing).
The strange thing is that things work from the PI server when using FTP tools, but fails from PI adapters, which makes me feel there is some issue with the protocol or the setup.
Also please let me mention that we have ensured Java cryptographic toolkit is installed on the PI system being used.

  • SFTP receiver File channel

    Hi,
I am doing a simple file pass through using PI (File-PI-SFTP) and not using ESR.
    I have two requirements -
    1. The target file name should be in the format xyz_yyyymmdd.dat
The standard function with the receiver SFTP channel is to get the timestamp but I don't require timestamp.
Could anyone please let me know if I can get the file name format (xyz_yyyymmdd.dat) without using any mapping?
    2. I am using certificates, but still the channel requires a User Name (it is a mandatory field). I am unable to understand why I need User Name even if I am using certificates? Is there a way of avoiding that?
Any help will be highly appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Abhi

    Question 1
Have you seen this wiki page?

    2. I am using certificates, but still the channel requires a User Name (it is a mandatory field). I am unable to understand why I need User Name even if I am using certificates? Is there a way of avoiding that?
You might want to try anonymous ssl mode. This might not require credentials. But certificate authentication looks for the user credentials. Take help from BASIS.

  • FTP error: Receiver Communication Channel

    Hello Experts,
I am getting the following FTP error in my Receiver Communication Channel.
Error occurred while connecting to FTP server:  Peer certificate rejected by ChainVerifier
    Please suggest.
    Thanks,
    Anup

    Hi Anup,
Problem is with FTPS and not FTP.The SSL handshake needs to confirm that the FTPS client is using the FTPS server's DNS name to access the FTP service since only the DNS name of the FTPS server is stored in the certificate signed by the trusted CA (e.g. VeriSign). it's the way the Certification Authorities works.
If you are using any IP address then try with your host name.

  • Receiver SOAP channel error-- Cant parse the document; HTTP 200 OK

    Hi All,
I am facing below error in SOAP receiver communication channel
SOAP: Error occurred: com.sap.engine.interfaces.messaging.api.exception.MessagingException: java.io.IOException: Cant parse the document; HTTP 200 OK
If I use "Do Not se SOAP Envelop" in receiver communication channel then it shows successfully delivered in message monitoring but never reached to target application. And if I uncheck "Do Not se SOAP Envelop" then the error is as I mentioned above.
Both ways it not working foe me.
    Please advice.
    Thanks
    Shivi

    Hi
I had a similar issue recent times and I have enablede the xpi inspector to check the logs of the request and the response  sent and received...
Based on that you can check whether your payload is able to sent to receiver in proper format or any other issues..
Also try to check the payload format using the SOAPUI whether the ws is working fine for that or not.

  • "known hosts store" parameter in SFTP channel

    Hi Experts,
I am working on Seeburger SFTP adapter and want the information on its configuration.
My scenario is IDOC to SFTP, I have configured the receiver SFTP channel.
But there is a parameter 'Known hosts store' in it, please let me know what is it and what value needs to be put.
I am using 'Password' as Authentication method.
    Your help is highly appreciated.
    -Supriya.

    Hi Supriya,
This parameter contains the information about the path on PI server where certificates of remote hosts (server where u r actually connecting to for data transfer from PI) have been stored.
You can check for complete path from NWA for Key storage service view paramaters. The value for this entry should start with "USERS\viewname\*".
Please let me know if still there is an issue in understanding about this!
    Thanks,

  • View Channel disconnected error

    Hi Everyone,
I received a Channel disconnected error, how can I view where the error is occuring?  Is that possible?
    Wesley

I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. I was following davidflex's insturction at http://forums.adobe.com/thread/875709 and did not realize that I ahve to set host = "localhost:8889" in my php that connects to my remote mysql server. It's tricky because sicen it's remote server, you should set host = your domain, but that's not right. As davidflex said you need to set host = "local:8889" since your gateway.php is also running on the remote server.
I stumbled for several weeks and hope someone else won't get stuck like I did for serveral weeks.

By default, the SOAP adapter sends the SOAP message with the content type text/xml.
When you check "Do not use SOAP envelope", the default contnet type is application/xml.
You can change the content type like this: Go to the SOAP receiver communication channel module tab. Add the module "localejbs/AF_Modules/MessageTransformBean" before the standard module. Add the parameter name Transform.ContentType and value text/xml.
