Receiving Day / Shipping Point

Hi Experts!
When delivering e.g. to Spain from a German shipping point there is a calendar assigned on customer site that has no holiday at all combined with a fixed receiving day "Friday". The German calendar is assigned to the shipping point.
Because of the route (transit days = 2 days) plus 1 day pick/pack we have always on Tuesdays the material availabiltity day when the delivery starts automatically.
I realize that in week 21 (holiday on Thursday) the system calculates the Monday as material availability date and I wonder why. Obviously the holiday was considered even the material has already left Germany. In consequence the delivery is too early.
My understanding is that the settings of the shipping point should calculate only the material availability date and the goods issue date but not more. The Spanish customer is not interested in any holiday in Germany.
I can't change the setting for the shipping point because our German deliveries have to be kept in this way.
Any idea?
Kind regards,
Hartmut Kroeger

Hi, thanks for your answer, but this is not what I meant.
The customer has the goods receiving day intentionally, this is to concentrate all deliveries to him on Tuesday (all material availability dates are Tuesdays).
Therefore on Customer site everything is OK.
What I don't understand is that the material availability day was calculated here on Monday.
Even picking and packing on Tuesday would be OK, then it's sent out anyway. And the following holiday on Thursday should not have any impact on the pack-work in Germany (the '"send work" has alredy finnished then in Germany).
Therefore my understanding was that any calendar on customer site calculates the goods receiving day (here the Spanish customer) and the calender for the shipping point calculates the Material availability date resp. the Goods Issue date but not the complete transit time.
In other words: My setting in the Spanish customer has no meaning, anyway all dates are calculated based on the calendar in the shipping point, no matter what calendar is on customer site.
My problem does not depend especially on a calendar setting on customer site.
Even without a fix goods receiving day, e.g. for a requested date on Fridays we have the same problem.
In that week where a holiday is, the system calculates one day earlier even the original dates (without holiday) could be used without any danger. In fact we are delivering too early to that customer.

Hi all...
In the meantime I got the solution!
As already explained, on customer site everything is OK, same with the shipping point. Problems I had just with the transportation times, I wanted to ignore any holidays there. This is possible by assigning in the routes directly a calendar, of course without any holidays.
So now all levels are OK for me (customer, routes, shipping point).

  • Use of "Rounding work days" in shipping point?

Hi, Could someone please explain to me how the "rounding work days" in shipping point is used for ATP purpose (within R/3 itself)?
Let's assume that the Delivery date is coming up as 18th Nov, 2011 08:00:00 hrs in schedule line, and the rounding work days is maintained as 0.2 days. Assume that the route has 1 day for transport, and this route time is relevant as per shipping point configuration.
What would be the value of GI date/time that I should expect for the schedule line?
Do I simply convert 0.2 days to hrs in 00:00:00 format, and subtract this time for delivery date to arrive at GI date, or could any other master data come into picture for GI date calculation?
I am currently seeing GI on 17th Nov, 2011 00:00:00 hrs, and not able to understand this value of GI time.
PS: Calendar for route is a custom calendar with working time from 00:00 to 24:00 hrs on all weekdays (monday to friday), and no working hrs are maintained at the shipping point.

    Hi,
If the current date is 03.11.2011.
you have maintained rounding work days 2 days. days specifyied in route is 1day.
then if you raise an order for current date.system will propose schedule lines after 3 days it means 07.11.2011.
    Thank you,

  • Missing shipping point/receiving pt

    Hello,
I have a problem with shipping determination. I have created my shipping conditions assigned in customer record, assigned loading grp in material record, did customizations like sales doc type/shipping condition, replaced LF with my delivery type, config SC- Loading grp-plant-proposed shipping point.  But when i create Sales order and item, shipping tab does not automatically show 'shipping point'. Basically, it is not getting determined? Any ideas, clues. When I give manually the shipping point, the error message is
"Ship.condition 01 loading grp Z001 plant ZVK StLoc  not defined" but my delv type is custom one and assigned in sales order and also my SC is assigned to Sales order type in IMG. What is the problem?
Please help. Points will be awarded.

  • 2LIS_12_VCITM populates the same Shipping Point and Receiving Plant

    Hi Gurus,
We are using 2LIS_12_VCITM extractor which answers all delivery-related requirements. However when I checked the data in RSA3, Shipping Point and Receiving Plant are the same. So I checked some sample deliveries in table LIKP and it shows the correct shipping point and receiving plant (which are different to each other). I checked VL03N and table LIKP is giving the correct shipping points and receiving plants. Receiving Plant or LIKP-WERKS and Shipping Point or LIKP-VSTEL. My question is how this happened? Consequently, when I initialized in BW, shipping point and receiving plants are the same which should not be.
    Thanks for all the help.

The data for the 2LIS_12_VCITM is not just sourced by LIKP (Delivery Header), but by LIPS (Delivery Item) too.
Plant, in this extractor, is sourced by LIPS-WERKS instead of LIKP-WERKS. The receiving plant is LIPS-UMWRK. If you require this data, you will have to enhance the structure and create the User Exit code in tcode CMOD to extract that particular data.

  • Shipping Point/Receiving Point

    HI,
i would like to create inbout delivery in reference to PO. In tab "Shipment" i can't edit item "Shipping Point/Receiving Point". How to do it editable?
    Thank you in advance.
    Kasia Gac

    Hello,
The receiving point is there in the Unload tab in ECC6.0 and it is an editable field only (when you use the transaction VL31n). you can enter the receiving point that is assinged to the storage location.
The config can be seen in Logistics Execution>Shipping>Basic Shipping Functions>Shipping Point and Goods Receiving Point Determination>Assign Goods Receiving Points for Inbound Deliveries..

  • Invoice List - Shipping Point (ShPt) VF24

Good day, I run a invoice list t-code VF24, I get the results and because I need to process invoices for a same plant. So when I process the invoices into 1 invoice, everything works fine. When I cancel the invoice that I have just created, the ShPt(shipping point) does not show on the Invoice list (VF24). Can you advise me urgently on what needs to be done.

The reason for this is that the invoice list has
no item data. Please look at VBRP for any invoice list using transaction
SE16.You will see there is no data, there is only header data recorded
    (VBRK).
So as no item data was copied from the invoice to the invoice list
(via item copy control), the shipping point data (an item field) is
not copied across.  This is standard.
So when you then cancel the invoice list, there is no shipping point
data to write back to VKDFS.
Please run the report RVV05IVB to resolve this

  • Shipping point is missing from automatic delivery for external operation

    Hi All,
I have tried to do one operation vy external processing. All the configuration and master data done. But during the goods receipt for the material from vendor after processing (t code MIGO) system is providing message as "Shipping point is missing from automatic delivery".
    1. In the control key, automatic GR is not there, so from where automatic delivery is coming?
    2. I have maintained the shipping point for the plant as plant in SPRO>LOG Exe> Shipping> Shipping point and goods receiving point determination> Assign good receiving point for In bound deliveries.
    Please provide the solution.
    Thanks
    Krishna

    Dear friend,
    As far as i know:
    1. check out the shipping point assignment to plant : t-code OVXC ;  just in case make sure your shippong point is correct - goto spro->enterprise strucutre->definition->logistics execution->def.,copy,del,check shipping point
    2. make sure your SC (shipping condition) and loading group are correct in the "Shipping point determination";
also make sure you did GR points assignment correctly (the next item in IMG)
    good luck!

  • InterCompany Stock Transfer - shipping Point

    Hello
How sales area and shipping point are determined in delivery document for intercompany stock transfer process.
    regards
    Prashant

    Hi Prashant,
Material should exist in both the plants (Delivering  & Ordering),
Internal customer should be assigned to the ordering plant ( MM -> Purchasing -> Purchase Order -> Setup stock transport order -> assign the internal customer to the ordering plant and assign the Sales area of the internal customer.
    Tcode : OMGN
Assign its Sales area to the delivering plant
Assign the document type and Delivery type  NB and NLCC
Assign the Supplying plant --> Receiving Plant --> NB
Take the delivering plant and assign the sales area.
Vendor master has to be created and assaign the supply source ( Delivering Plant).
    Create a puchase order ME21N ---> Save
Delivery VL10 G ---> Calculation rule (appropriate) --> Assaign the purchase order number here and execute.
Select the Delivery creation line and do the back ground process.
Start the log display and see the delivery document number by the documents button
Goto VL02N --> do picking and PGI --> Then do the MIGO with respect to the delivery document.
Billing (Intercompany pricing conditions should be set).
    Thanks & Regards,

  • Shipping Point Determination for Sub contracting Process

    Dear Experts,
While processing the GR for a Sub Contract Purchase Order, we are getting an Error  'VL 100 - Shipping Point XXX doesn't exists'
However, I am not understanding where from this Shipping point is picked.
Checked the Shipping point determination based on Loading Grp, Shipping conditions & Plant. But that is a different shipping point, and it is being picked while processing the outbound delivery for sending components thru 541 Movement.
It is clear that the Shipping point XXXX is not existing, but not sure, as where from that Shipping point is being determined while doing GR
    Request for your inputs please
    Thank you,
    Best Regards,
    Ramakrishna Mangena

    Hi Ramakrishna ,
What u earlier said is perfectly right : Shipping point determination based on Loading Grp, Shipping conditions & Plant
    Check the following :
    Are u posting GR through VL31N .
If yes, just check the receiving pt entered in Header Data - Shipment Tab.

  • Controlling PO incoterms/delivery address from SO shipping point

    Hi,
We want to be able to create sales orders with individual Purchase orders ( Purchase orders created with sales order as account assignment - one PO for SO/SO Item )
We want to select freely between multiple shipping point in different countries within the same plant ( in free trade zones )
What is the best way to ensure that the purchase order reflects the different shipping point ? As this is DDU, the Vendor needs to know where to send the goods. You could imagne that the Incoterm 2 would be dynamically set according to the shippingpoint, but the Incoterms in the PO are static - header from vendor master, item from inforecord. Also is the PO delivering address not updated.
We are afraid that the vendor sends the goods to one place and the DSP will attempt to pick up at another ...

    Thanks much for your time!
All i need is 2 W/days for picking and 2 W/days for loading from the shipping point. Do i need to delete duration also? i have deleted the workign times. Also , i do not need anything from Routes as well. I maintain duration , do i need to maintain them in days for all the possible routes ?? Since my pick/loading times are based on shipping points only , do i have to maintain this data for routes and wt grps ?
Really appreciate ur sharing ur experience!!

  • In STO Process How can i Change the shipping point manually

    Hi,
I need clarification in STO process, shipping point determined automatically based on ovl2 setting like Shipping condition from customer master loading group from material master plant in the line item.(here the shipping point is1000.)
In my scenario it picking correctly shipping point(1000) even i have maintained manually shipping point(1200) in ovl2 but when i am creating STO document UB change shipping point at item level in shipping tab system allowing the manual shipping point (1200) but when i enter or save the document system overwrite 1200 to 1000,system consider only automatic determination  in shipping point (1000)
Can you please help why i am not able to change the manually shipping point 1200( even i maintained  in ovl2 manually shipping point 1200)

Sending a calendar to another country is not supported in many jurisdictions - as it can lead to extra charges for the receiver. As I have no idea what country you are in you can select your country from this list
    http://store.apple.com/us/help/print_products/routing
And find out if it's supported in your country and to your chosen destination.

  • Loading Date\Time per Shipping Point

    Hello all
we need to fill SO with certain values: on item level  "Loading Date" field (there should be value of next day after SO creation) and "Loading Time" ("_00:00_" value). These two fileds should be filled only for certain shipping points.
    Is it possible?

    Hi,
    It is not that easy.
The time mentioned in the Delivery or Transportation scheduling mentions the lead time and not the date . The dates are decided by delivery scheduling namely backward or forward scheduling. In your case, if you want to control this in masterdata, you have to  maintain the procurement type of material as either inhouse  production or outward procurement. In either case, you have maintain the production or procurement lead time as just one day. In this case, the next day becomes the material availability date (MAD). The same date will also be updated as Loading date. Based on the loading leadtime maintained in the shipping point, the further dates will be decided.
So the production or procurement lead time will decide when ur MAD will be and based on that ur loading date will be updated. Maintain ur masters accordingly in material and ur reqmt will be fulfilled.
    Hope this helps

  • Sales office to shipping point in VA01

    Hello,
We've tried to create a new Sales Organization with a new Sales Office in SAP system, but got following problem in VA01:
In VA01 first screen you can choose them ok. But in sales order items Shipping Point/Receiving Point is automatically sales organization and NOT the sales office. You can't change the shipping point manually either, VA01 says "Shipping point is not defined for this transaction".
We've tried SPRO configuration but haven't found anything that helps, any ideas?
    Thanks in advance,
    Tom

    Dear Tom,
I dont think the new sales organization is the cause of your issue to determine shipping point in VA01 line items.
Because Neighter Sales organization nor sales office doesnt have any direct assignemnt with shipping Point.
Shipping Point determination is based on :
Shipping Conditions ( which will be copied either from  Sales doc type or Customer master of the sold to party)
Loading Group ( will be taken from MMR-Sales/Plant general tab)
Delivering Plant ( taken from: Customer Material Info record or Customer Master record / Material Master record) .
Coming to your issue: as per your post,
Whether you want the system should determine Shipping Point based on either sales org or sales office? Ist so-Please confirm. But in std its not provided.

  • Delivery output fax to shipping point

A delivery document needs to be faxed to the shipping point regardless of the partners. The output access sequence and output determination is updated, but the partner is causing a problem. The output should be generated as long as it is sent out of a shipping point which is assigned on output condition record. The fax number will be maintained at the shipping point in configuration.
Most of this works except that error is received because it doesn't find the fax on the ship to partner (which is not where I want it to be) or if I change the partner to 01 shipping point, error is that it can't find 01 as a partner (which it wouldn't).
Is this configuration or a user exit? What is the user exit?
    Thank you,

Oss note is 81046: Shipping point as a partner in the delivery.
Need a output table that contains the shipping point.
    Assign Output Determination procedures
Maintain Output types  and reference the correct Access sequence
Maintain the access sequence to reference the table
Maintain the master data to support the new table
