Recently my iPad does not consistently respond to a single or double click on the home button and i've had no choice but to turn it off and back on to escape fron the app i'm using. Can't say it is consistent with any one app. Suggestions are asked for

While this could potentially be a hardwar issue:
Try a rest: Simultaneously hold down the Home and On buttons until the iPad shuts down. Ignore the off slider if it appears. Once shut down is complete, if it doesn't restart on it own, turn the iPad back on using the On button. In some cases it also helps to double click the Home button and close all apps from the tray before doing the reset.
If the reset doesn't work, you may need to consider restoring the iPad to factory settings

I am trying to switch from video to camera and when I push on the photo button, it remains on video. I've tried turning it on and off, but that doesn't help. Any suggestions?
Tapping the words don't work in iOS 7. Just swipe up or down anywhere on the screen until the mode that you want to use appears in yellow type on the right side. Yellow type indicates the selected mode.
Remember - swipe up or down to get to the mode that you want to use. -

If you simply would have posted here first, there are plenty of people who would have informed you of the current policy to have a data plan active on an account during the entire contract if purchasing a discounted smartphone.
Unfortunately, there are just as many on here who would claim the people informing you about this policy of being Verizon plants spreading disinformation and trying to make people afraid to upgrade via this route.
Yes this is a new policy, one which has been pointed out multiple times in these forums. Good luck, but I doubt you will have an outcome over this which will make you happy.
Verizon is closing as many loopholes to keep unlimited data as they can. -

The screen to my phone will not turn on at all. I could hear the sound it makes when I do press on the home button. But the screen is not and will not respond and turn on. I plugged it in the charger to see if it'll do anything, but that didnt do anything. So I plugged it in the charger to my computer and even that didnt help with the situation. So how can I get my screen to turn on?

I was trying to get it to airprint to my supposedly supported HP eprint printer, but was having no luck. After trying to follow the online instructions on the HP website, it told me to turn it off wait 30 secs then turn it back on(along with the other devices but thats not my issue now) When I turned it back on it has a black box around all icons, I have to "double click" to get anything to open, and is not scrolling properly. I have turned it off and back on again, no change.
i am expereincing this problem....what was the solution??

I would like to know if apple will replace it. If not, then I will take somewhere cheaper but it has some scratches so I would like to get a new one.
The home button doesn't work, the LCD cable is broken and the screen is cracked! Wow. That's the worst case of abuse that I've seen. I think that Apple will laugh at you.

After updating my iPad my camera does not operate correctly. It will take about 5 photos then lockup. It also becomes very sensitive when I try to zoom in, it changes to "video or square". I have to turn off for awhile then it repeats the same malfunction, just lockup again.

My power button doesn't work and I don't know what I can do without havin my parents spend a lot of money for the power button but I want to. No if their is any other way for me to fix it without damaging it and doing it carefully and I have an iPod touch 4th generation but I really want it to work again without having my iPod wait to go to sleep and its the white one and my brother says the white one isn't that good so ya... Help< I opened an email with photo attachements and it is taking all day to download, I cant delete it, it just stops mail from working. Everything else was fine till i thought turning off the ipad and trying again would work. It didn`t, I cant turn it on at all - itjust shows the spinning wheel (loading?) icon and nothing else. Being a novice and ive only had this for a couple of weeks i need help!
Have you tried a reset ? Press and hold both the sleep and home buttons for about 10 to 15 seconds (ignore the red slider if it appears), after which the Apple logo should appear - you won't lose any content, it's the iPad equivalent of a reboot.

My phone is saying SIM Failure after I did update last night.
Most likely you have Office 2004 which are PPC-only applications and will not work in Lion. Upgrade to Office 2011. Other alternatives are:
Apple's iWork suite (Pages, Numbers, and Keynote.)
Open Office (Office 2007-like suite compatible with OS X.)
NeoOffice (similar to Open Office.)
