Recipe organising.

Hi all,
I thought I would ask the experts (you guys).
I have just finished scanning all my recipes into my mac as pdf's with the intention of making them available on my ipad to use for meal planning and reading while I cook.
Is there an app that I can use across mac, ipad and iphone that I can use to pull those recipes together.
At the moment they are just in a folder on my desktop in category order but I have to close each one and open the next to read it instead of being able to swipe across like photos.
I also have screenshots on my ipad that I have taken of recipes on the net as well that I would like to add.
I can change the format of the pdf's to jpeg if it makes it easier.
I have tried Recipe Tin but I have to do 1 recipe at a time and only from photos as far as I can see and I have hundreds to move.

I'm certainly not a recipe handling expert.  I don't know anything about recipe-handling software on either the iPad or Mac.
But I do use a product called PDFPen on my Mac to handle PDFs.  You can find this in the Mac's App Store.  I know there is a PDFPen version available for iPad (though I personally do not have this).
PDFPen can easily do things like combine separate PDF documents into one larger document on the Mac.  That is what brought this to mind as a possible solution for you.
I have no financial interest in PDFPen.  I am only a customer of theirs on the Mac.

  • Slow to create Organiser Catalog & Thumbnails in Photoshop and Premiere?

    This is a newbie question ... I tried to find an answer, however most posts seem to be about specific issues.
    Background
    I have just upgraded my PC to an intel quad processor (6600), new motherboard, 4gb DDR 800mhz ram, 512mb geforce video card and new 500Gb SATA2 HDD.
    I've purchaesd and installed Photoshop Elements 6 and Premiere 4 and am now trying to get all my photos and videos into the organiser.
    Issue
    I have moved all my photos and videos to a specific folder and have run the Get Photos option in photoshop organiser. It finds something like 11,000 items and loads them up. From this point there are no thumbnails displayed, they are all greyed out and it says "Generating Thumbnails" in the bottom left of the frame. I left this runnning overnight, and in the mornign there are still no thumbnails displayed (slider all the way to left to show max number of thumbs).
    What I was hoping to do was to load up all images and videos, then gradually work my way through them assigning ratings and metadata ... seems that it is taking an awefully long time to load ... am I following the wrong approach?
    Another related issue is that when I load premiere 4 and select the "Organiser" tab, the system seems to hang for a long time when displaying video's only (about 30Gb of videos) ... if I try to page down on the thumbnails of videos, the system hangs and takes about 5mins to re-fresh the view.
    Maybe I'm following the worng approach in trying to organise all images and videos at teh same time ?? ... any ideas on how I can do this more effectively, as at the moment it seems that the organiser in Photoshop and Elements runs extremely slowly.

    I suggest loading all your photos first and getting that straightened out before tackling Premiere. So first, start with a fresh catalog and import just the photos into it.
    The PSE 6 Organizer has lots of problems generating thumbnails when you first load a catalog, but most people have been able to work through those problems reasonably quickly.
    If you have lots of raw files, you need to follow the recipe in this article:

    Otherwise, try rebuilding the Organizers thumbnail cache:
    1. In Help > System Info, find the folder containing your catalog.
    2. Exit PSE.
    3. In that folder, delete the file thumb.5.cache.
    4. Restart PSE.
    5. Edit > Select All.
    6. Edit > Update Thumbnail.
    This can take a long time, roughly 10,000 JPEGs per hour.

  • Process instruction sheet and control recipe

    dear,
           can u let me know how the process instruction sheet is created or maintained and how the control recipe and destination works.
    if I want to start with PI sheet and control recipe in my organisation , how do I go ahead with configuration as well as process.

    In control recipe destination the destination type must be browser based.Another is Abap based generally it is using.
    So select that recipe destination, select phase & go in deatil u will find INSTR.READ1, READ2,SIGN which can used as a instruction.
    There are two types 1:process sheet 2: remote fuction call (RFC)
    Process sheet is used for giving instructions to line operator & also entering data during reaction etc per period.
    For INSTR- select it give instruction for that particular phase.
    READ1 - In which we are one column is available where we can enter 1 value by line opearator
    READ2- Here 4 columns are available u can use it as date,time,temp,total etc. as per your requirement.
    SIGN- Here u can use it as a to identify who entered the value.Systen will ask for pass word after entering ID
    After creation & releasing  process order  create contriol recipe.
    Thern go for T code- CO 53 - send control recipe(control recipe monitor)

    Hi Kirran,
    Please see if you have defined a status scheme and assigned it to the recipe type. Before defining a status scheme, you must complete the one time IMG activity 'Collect Object Types and Assigned Attributes' under Recipe Development > Status Management. Then in the next node you define individual statuses and a scheme with transitions. For each status, you must define 'field value' for the field RCP_USAGE which is nothing but a value from Recipe Purposes customizing.

  • Error while deleting recipe

    Hi Experts,
    I am getting the following error "Task list 50000159 01 (type 50000159) is still used in inspection lots" while deleting a master recipe using t code C298.
    Please note I am note getting any inspection lot where this recipe group is used (checked in MD04).
    Is it possible to delete a recipe where there in open inspection lots? Because in this case all process orders are already given status TECO and inspection lots are generated mostly during inprocess.
    Kindly give a solution to solve the above error.

    dear Friend,
    1. go to C202, give material no and plant then enter
    2. click on recipe header tab,click on article/ material assignment push button and see this recipe is assigned to any other material. if it is assigned then also deleting is not possible
    3. if it is not not assined to other material, then u have to settle all the orders which were used this recipe. because if u set order to TECO is not enough, during settlement again it checks ur recipe
    4. Do order settlement and close the order then delete the recipe

  • ITunes 12 - "Keep iTunes Media Folder Organised" feature no longer works

    Hi everyone, I was wondering if you could help me with an issue I've been having.
    Since updating to iTunes 12, the 'Keep iTunes Media Folder Organised' feature no longer works. When I add media to the library, iTunes doesn't copy it to a destination within my media library. It only works if I turn the feature off, and then back on again.

    I don't use the feature myself, but it works properly in a test library for me.
    It could possibly be a permissions issue. Different processes in iTunes seem to make use of either the system or the user account for file actions and it is just possible that which has been used in that case has changed. See Repair security permissions for iTunes for Windows for details.

This value is stored in table driver directly from QA32 usage decision. We have maintain the classification view with moisture & Assay in %. for every batch the % moisture & Assay is different. Now i want to adopt the recipe formula for API calculation. The formula for calculation is as per below.
    =(Bom Component Qty* Moisture contain %- Bom Component Qty* Assay%)/100
    Please guide me with screen shot, how i can map it in recipe formula...

  • Master recipes operations not getting transfered in SNP PDS to APO from R3

    Hello APO Gurus,
    I am trying to transfer SNP PDS for master receipes from R3 to APO.
    Issue description::
    The operation is not getting transfered correctly , some system default operation "010 generated Operation (from Planned Delive)" is getting generated in APO, also activity and resource capacity is not getting transfered. This situation exist for one plant 1000, for other plant 1100 the SNP PDS created correctly.
    i have following points:
    1. Is there some customizing setting missing on R3 or APO side  for plant 1000 tbefore SNP PDS transfer
    2. What need to be checked on master recipes data in R3,
    i have checked on below points
    1. FG Materials and all the Component Material to be in APO in a Active Integration Model.
    2. BOM & Routing and Production Version setup correctly.
    3. The Routing Operations have to Relevant to 'SCHEDULING'.
    4. Try deleting the existing Integration model for materials & re-create new IM & activate.
    Please help me to send SNP PDS correctly to APO to take heuristic run.

    Hi,
    It is good that you have given your already checked points.
    Please check the following things also and try to retransfer the PDS.
    1. Check your resource in ECC, whether you have maintained the Process formula.
    2. Check you have maintained some values in Master Recipe for processing time
    3. Check whether the resource has been transferred for your plant 1000 to APO and an active IM exists.
    4. Also check the type of the resource transferred to APO. It should be a single-mixed/ multi-mixed or bucket resource.

  • Organising/Saving downloads to folders

    Hi there,
    Is it just me, or does anyone else find it cumbersome organising and saving downloads to specific saved folders, particularly subfolders, in Mac? It seems I can't do it in less than 2 or 3 steps, as one has to save to the Downloads folder or a major folder first before being able to save to another subfolder. Even if I've created a folder specifically for an item, if I download something from the internet or receive something from email, I can't save directly into the new folder I created...it has to go into either the Downloads folder or one of the major folders rather than a subfolder. Is there anyway around this? It's pretty straightforward in Microsoft, not sure why it's not in Mac.

    If you're using Safari, then with many web sites you can control-click on the download link (right-click if you have a multibutton mouse, or whatever button you've defined for contextual menus) and select the "Download Linked File as" command and save the file wherever you wish. Other browsers will probably have a similar command though the text may differ slightly. If the web site has a special download script, then it will probably download only to the predefined Downloads folder, but this would also be the case in Windows.

  • In Organise Bookmarks/Search I want to move a search result bookmark into a different folder, but it "copies" rather than "moves" - how can I "move" it?

    Having got a list of bookmarks as the result of a Search in "Organise Bookmarks", I want to move one of the resulting bookmarks to a different folder.
    If I move the bookmark into a folder on the left hand pane - it copies it.
    If I hold the shift key down and move it - it copies it.
    If I hold the control key down and move it - it copies it.
    If I hold both the control and shift key down, the icon does change from a "+" sign to an arrow, but - you guessed it - it still copies it.
    All I want to do is a simple move!
    I'm probably doing something daft. Please let me know what it is!
    I'm using Firefox 17.0.1 if that's of any relevance.

    Hello mara1618, go from Firefox button > Bookmarks, touch the folder and when expand all folder bookmarks, drag the bookmark you want to another folder.

  • Changing the Hierarchy of File organisation in iTunes Media.

    Hi All,
    Am sure many are facing this issue that i have, from what posts I've seen so far.
    It's the issue of having sorted or organised your music with iTunes, and when you need to move songs to your phone or back up external HArd Disk, we need to move it in the EXACT Same structure in which iTunes has them organised.
    Let me explain:-
    My Current Itunes Media Folder list is sorted by the Artist > Album > *.mp3
    I have a huge collection of Music across 4 Languages, and there are possibilities that the same Artist could have sung a sung in 2 different Languages.
    So at times when I open an Artist's Folder i can see two sub folders for Language.
    If say, I wanted to have a Folder with only songs belonging to a particular Language, How do i achieve that? (I have my Library Categorised with ALBUM as Lang1, Lang2, Lang3) etc, that was meaningful to me than having the Album or Movie Name.
    Ideally i would want ALL songs in a Particular language to be under ONE Folder, currently iTunes doesnt do that, it creates multiple folders with Artist Name and stores the song under that particular Folder name of the Artist. Again another headache, If lets say i have a song sung by Artist1 and Artist2 together, then again thats a new folder!
    Reason Im asking this is because I migrated ALL my music from Windows to a Mac and spent considerable time, organising them by language (using the Album Tag), and now if i need to do a back up or Re Sync my Back up and my itunes library im having a tough time.
    I would want an option where in, I can have on SINGLE FOLDER which will be my master DUMP of all my music not categorised by Folders or yes maybe folders at Language Level.
    Music>Language(Or Genre) > *.mp3 - This is the structure I'm wanting to achieve, given the fact that my current most upto date Library is the itunes library, how do I do that, please help.

    Let's get backup sorted to start with. If you use the scheme outlined in this user tip then, as long as all the media is inside the iTunes Media folder which in turn is inside the main iTunes folder, the backup copy can act as a fully functioning library ready to sync with any of your devices. Backup is easy because the software scans and adds any new or updated files. Restoring is either everything following a complete disaster, or replacing the album/artist folder deleted in error to the matching path, so again not too tricky.
    The scheme above works whether you let iTunes organize the media or not, but it should all be inside the iTunes Media folder if your library is to be portable and work from any path. If you're using iTunes for managing media it really doesn't matter where the files are as long as it can find them and you can back up. If, however, you really want to impose some other structure on your files you can take my script ConsolidateByMoving and modify it so that it moves files to your personal preference instead of where iTunes would normally put them. You could also use the Auto-Organize from Tag features in MediaMonkey, or some other third party tool, but then you would need to fix broken links or remove and reimport the media, losing ratings, playlists, play counts etc.

  • Limitation on a material basis or another filed in recipe.

    I wasnt to grant access to recipes to users depending on the data that is given in the recipe (e.g. per application field or material,u2026).E.g. some users are allowed to see/change recipe of material XYZ, while other users are not allowed to see/change a recipe of material XYZ.
    So , can you please find out, if there is any possibility to create a check or whatsoever to include such an access limitation on a material basis (or another field in the recipe) on recipes?

    It is not common that authorizations must be based on material codes of the recipe header;
    it is usual , however, to create some roles based on Authotization objet VAGRP from C_ROUT_MAT.-
    Many VAGRP ( or Planner Group in the Recipe Header) can be created in Customizing and assigned to the recipe header.
